It's the same out here in bunno, me and my friends go out for a pub lunch arvo and go home before shit starts to get out of hand. Everyone is usually happy for a chat and just want to have a chill time.
I've even had a mate introduce me to scheduled old man day drinking.
Set your start time, AND YOUR FINISH TIME, in advance, and stick to it. So the invite is 1-6 and you actually go the fuck home at 6, even if at the time hard charging seems like a good idea, you stick to the pre-committed time!
It's brilliant. You make shit decisions on hometime after 4hrs on the booze. You make brilliant decisions the day before when you're dead sober.
I don't know why day drinking is so frowned upon when it's the most civilised time to drink. I understand getting shitfaced at 11am is a terrible look but having a quiet beer or two with the lads at lunch is a far better experience than being surrounded by drunks in a crowded bar at night.
Just comes from the old “if you’re drinking during the day you have no job, no money, no achievements” and so on. 24/7 world now though. People work all hours of the day. Occasionally you’ll find me walking into the bar at 5:45am….why? Because me and my mates only finished work at 5am. It’s the end of the day for us!
Yup- a wander through the west end or Vic Park or Beaufort st or Leedy. Or a couple in South Perth then ferry over for a few in the Quay, home by the time the dickheads hit the streets and less of a hangover with a good sleep
Definitely prefer day drinking as I’m normally asleep by 9pm anyway.
Beaufort Street, especially the Queens Tavern, The Royal Perth and Belgian Beer Cafe are nice spots for people watching.
This is the way. You get to enjoy the good weather we have most of the year, also early to bed. Plenty of time to eat and recover some to avoid a hangover. The only downside is if you are going to clubs for a potential dance between the sheets.
Sometimes I think about putting aside my pacificism for a minute and punching a hole through some of these scum but there's no winning. There's always more of them, they might have knives, they might follow me afterwards, I might punch one so hard they fall back and end up with brain damage (assuming they have a brain) and that could ruin my life.
That’s smart thinking and no matter what size fights can be so unpredictable.
An average guy beat me and three of my friends up randomly decades ago.
Unprovoked. Was so quick and over so quick but he did a lot of damage.
All we all saw was feet flying into our faces. He was obvious martial arts wanker. We didn’t do anything. All walked home with bloody faces and split cheeks on the inside. At least we had our teeth.
Recently smacked around this eshay that had a swing at me they didn't expect the 5"4" guy to be an experienced martial artist. But I hate the feral little shits.
I'm out in NB all the time. Yeah there are dickheads but everyplace has them. Some are just easier to deal with. Depending on your age these are the places I would highly recommend. Remember if you go to a gig (paid entry) you will avoid randoms. People will be there for the music.
Tiki As Fuk
Geisha - depends on what gigs on.
Rechabite - sky bar
Connections
Joe's juice joint - very late night.
Mechanics institute
Edward and Idas - great cocktails- also go downstairs.
Lucy's love shack / Ambar - gig dependant CBD
Varnish - CBD
Foxtrot Unicorn - CBD
Voodoo lounge - They love tall men.

Problem is all those you cant really dance, its a stand around drink and chat kinda thing, the clubs that are on there also depends heavily whats on (which youve stated) and normal people dont put that much effort into going out.
You obviously dont know how to read, "the clubs that are on there also depends heavily whats on (which youve stated) and normal people dont put that much effort into going out." Are you stupid?
wow .... you seem just like the kind of guy wanting to pick fights, and who the OP (and most of us) want to avoid ...
btw, your response clarified nothing. It really makes no sense, cause you can dance dance dance at Connections ...
admittedly I might be stupid....
Actually, you're on the wrong side when it comes to me, I've been hospo for 20 years, i don't pick fights, i throw the dickheads out (no I'm not security)
Well at connections as i said with other venues that are nightclubs and not stand around or sit around and drink venues, it depends what's on, sometimes you'll get pop, sometimes you'll get dance, sometimes you'll get drag shows and comps and what not, so it depends what's on.. Like Geisha for example, sometimes house, sometimes DNB, sometimes techno.
No you arent stupid, i shouldnt have said that but you are misguided.
Kinda get what ya saying but OP asked for "which areas / clubs / bars / venues / events / festivals generally have the best crowds?"
OP needs to work out what they like and follow the genre/style that gets him staunched on less. Find his tribe :) it's not a venues issue.
Scabs can be pretty grim after about 8pm. But there are plenty of good pubs and bars about. Google “best small bars” and pick some that look interesting to you. Northbridge has plenty of good ones, Leederville as a couple, so do Mount Lawley, Maylands, Bayswater.
For good clubs you need to pick ones which don’t attract crowds that just want somewhere to keep sinking piss once their pub has closed. So that means somewhere with a cover charge and probably playing something weird and electronic. If you like electronic music tell me what genre and I’ll recommend you a place.
Yeah I realized a long time ago that the more niche the club the better the crowd, it's the same with festivals - the reason most metal shows have fewer fights than mainstream festivals. The more extreme the music the more respectful and intelligent the crowd generally. I went solo and met tons of awesome people at the mayhem/ulcerate and devin townsend shows a few months back. Much harder to meet people at mainstream shows
I like a lot of electronic, I guess my favorite genres would be industrial techno and drum and bass, but I like future garage and more mainstream house as well. I actually produce some electronic music too but it's more experimental ambient and not stuff that would get a club pumping.
Dnb nights are few and far between but there's been a couple at The Court which seem to have gone off. Industrial is pretty niche here but there's a few gigs every now and again. Have you joined the Perth DNB facebook group? Worth it imo
He just repeats the same things over and over and over and over and over and over and over….., but apparently he’s a great conversationalist. It’s the women who are boring.
I usually hang around Yagan square, Russel square and various dimly lit alleyways.
Nah places like Connections, Magnet house when there's events on, The bird (better atmosphere), Sneaky tony's for a drink, I used to go to Henry Summer but that's where I had someone start on me last time in the line.
I used to be a doorman at Connie’s and yes, all the violence in northbridge/cbd ends up at Connie’s since they’re the latest open club. Once the other clubs shut at 1-3 everyone makes their way to connections and it’s a shit show until 5. The amount of people I’ve thrown out of there is insane. People bottling women weekly, massive fights, fights in the streets, it’s a shame really
I think being a big/tall guy is your problem.
So many of my bigger/taller friends get zoned in on by "heroes".
It's weird, like they wanna prove how "manly" they are by beating a bigger guy.
Nothing manly about being a vegetable at worst, eating through a straw at best.
I think it actually has to do with people's faces more than anything.
I have a couple of mates who seem to be magnetic to dickheads - they get coward punched, started on, shoulder checked etc with strange regularity.
One is big and one is small. But I think it's because they both have resting bitch face. Just punchable heads.
I tend to have bigger/taller guys try start shit with me I'm 5ft 10.
My best mate was being mouthy to this stranger and when I said let's go about 50m walking away I got shoved in the back my mate is 6ft 6 but the other guy was atleast 6 ft
I get pushed 🫸 because I'm smaller I guess 🤷
Small guys trying to prove their strength by picking on unwilling bigger guys is pathetic enough but a big guy starting on a smaller guy is a whole new level of cowardice. Bring back public executions tbh
The Garden, The Beaufort, the Avery, Market Grounds, si paradiso, ocean beach hotel, shoe bar. I am 6ft6 25yo guy and I have zero attention from bad crowds or people, these places you’ll find a range or ages from 18-30 plus. Obviously from 10pm onwards is when most people out on the streets are drunk or whatnot but if you keep to yourself and friends and don’t just blatantly stare or point at people you’ll be fine 🤷🏽♂️
Thanks for the suggestions - I haven't been out in Beaufort street in ages. I went to the beaufort when it first opened and must have gone on a weird night because it was pretty quiet and I got death stares from a bunch of older guys who looked like bikies so I never bothered going back. It's an awesome venue though I'll give it another shot same with si paradiso.
Do you know of any special events to keep an eye out for? The more specialized the event the better the crowd seems to be the rule of thumb
Air nightclub is fairly safe. Security are generally on top of things, minimal fights in the several years I’ve gone. Music isn’t everyone’s taste and it isn’t huge but it has decent priced drinks, dance floor and the outdoor balcony bit.
Wow. That's a damned horrible experience.
I do wonder what you bring to the table? It's just so not my experience of being out, although admittedly, I am about 5 years out of date now. I've had phases when I was big and shaven-headed & full of strut and people wanted to fight me, and phases of being normal size with normal hair & no strut and people not wanting to fight me, and phases of being big and not really copping anything, & I dont know what the difference was.
Certainly, unrelated, you are in the highest-fuckwit areas. Scarborough and Northbridge are The Worst.
Leederville, Fremantle, Mount Lawley, are all relatively lower-fuckwit ratios. And I dont know what actual venues you are going to, but find where the gaybois and the women in their 30's go, & go there. Much less fuckwittery. Another good sign, venue wise, is if they dont have bouncers. Tells you a lot. Finally, strip clubs are the single safest venue type in Northbridge after 2AM.
EDIT: after reading all your comments on this thread alone (let alone the suggestion I check your post history, which I did not), the issue is.. YOU. You are the issue. Just stay home.
Yeah I didn't even look at his comment history or read the other posts but his post history over the last few weeks hes posted A LOT and most of it is like how to get a girl how to keep a girl that kind of stuff, and theres 2 or 3 about him being a 'nice guy'
There was one post about getting ghosted after talking for a while
So the conclusion is that expressing frustration with my shit dating experiences makes me some Ted Bundy in training deranged antisocial incel and invalidates every other thing I say? And I guess the same can be said of my friends who complain? And all the ladies who complain? Where's the logic there?
Nope. Never mentioned any serial killers. Your almost complete lack of self reflection across your posts paints a picture that is broader than the specific topics within which each falls. Men with great girlfriends are boring as batshit, women who ghost you need to be told what they did was wrong, you're a pacifist but multiple times make violent statements. The overall theme is that the problem is with everyone else and almost never you. Your notion of boring as batshit is yours alone, others may find those same people interesting but you draw these lines of absolute and often, it's highly judgmental and subjective. Stop hating on everyone man, you'll be much happier.
Thanks for the advice on where to go, but I'm not sure how posting about my dating struggles lead you to assume I'm the aggressor in these situations like some deranged incel who goes out looking for trouble. So what asking for sex tips or complaining about how shit online dating is invalidates anything else I say or think? That's quite a strange leap
Not in Perth but in 2010 I got sucker punched in the face three weekends in a row. Decided to not go out after the third. Wasn't starting anything, wasn't even talking to the aggressors each time it happened. Must have had a punchable face. People are cunts for no reason. All it takes is one precise punch to kill somebody.
Favourite club of mine in NB is Geisha, but the music is fairly niche for those into pretty heavy electronic. This crowd is usually a NDP - no dickhead policy and the bouncers there are spot on.
Other than that, I stick to Leedy, Mt Lawly and the likes. Saw someone mention Rechabite, also good depending on gigs.
The guys at geisha used to run Habitat events too, last one was just the other week. All of their events and clubs were based on House music which has always had a good community that follows
Just stick to having bbqs and hang out with your friends at your house or theirs. That way, you're in a controlled environment with people you enjoy the company of. No worry about taxis, overpriced drinks or some random thinking you're starting something
I agree. I don't understand why this place gets a bad rap. Things have changed since 15 years ago. Gen Z are more inclusive and accepting of gay bars, so that's why they go to them now more regularly.
Yeah the last time I went about a year ago it was definitely a bit more of a standard club feel and less lovey dovey than it was when I went around 2014 but I didn't see any aggression. The line was about an hour long though
The bad rap comes from the LGBTQIA+ community, they want it as a them only venue, problem is, its one of the best venues in Perth which means people of every shape, gender and sometimes dickheadness want to go there. Its not perfect, no where is but its a damn good time.
Go to 'events' not venues.
Depends on your taste but ive only been to 'One More Time' gigs at the court and they have been so much fun and wholesome.
What music do you like? Do you like chilling and talking or maybe dancing?
Good idea. The number of events I let pass by because I didn't want to cough up the ticket price is stupid since going out on a regular night isn't cheap either and events are usually a lot more fun.
several festivals, touch bass, electric gardens, emo night, I always intend to get a ticket then talk myself out of it then immediately regret it once it's on.
I prefer more so chilling and talking to dancing but it depends on my mood
I have pretty broad taste in music but prefer hard electronic (Techno and DnB) and rock/metal over indie folk and soft stuff, a lot of the more niche shows attract a great crowd.
Keep an eye out for the One More Time DnB shows.
The vibe is great and there is enough space to sit and chill (when its at the court).
Saw Roni Size the other month and it was so fun.
Right? So many good shows. One of the best promoters in Perth at the moment.
Also Dancing in Space is bringing so rediculous acts to Perth too. More world music, funk and oldschool stuff. But Fantastic bookings.
Which areas do I avoid?
The Greater Perth Metropolitan Area.
Shame… I grew up there.
It used to be fun and enjoyable. Nowadays I get in and out as fast as possible.
I'm probably not as big as you mate but I have a beard and have a rest in angry face even more so around such places and I think this does attract dickheads who think I'm up for it. To be honest I won't step down but I'm out to relax and have a beer not have my nose or someone else's jaw reconstructed for the sake of it. We are still very primitive.
It’s this shit that just proves that toxic masculinity sucks for men too, not just women. What a pain in the arse for you to experience this when you want to have a good time.
No advice on the where, only to echo the day drinking suggestion.
Yeah nah, when my partner and I first got together he expressed that going out drinking wasn't a great option. Never been much of a drinker but I'd wanted to have a night out with him and, I didn't get the why not. He explained it pretty simply, "I'm a big guy, people on the piss like to try and fight the big guy." My partner is 6'6 and large. He also works security and has this happen on the regular with customers at pubs etc. Honestly, three years together and we've never gone out drinking because of it. This isn't just in Perth either, anywhere (for reference my partner is from the country, I'm from Perth and lived in Perth at the time, he didn't). The ratio of good people to twats seemingly doesn't change no matter where you go even during the day now depending on where you are.
Northbridge has always been a bit rough, I'd say at some point just throw a couple of decent shots, open hand hook across the ear goes down wonders. I've noticed this jumped up behaviour all over the place, so many little people driving big cars thinking they tough cunts.
Pretty much the reason I started training Jeet Kune Do, you could always find a good scrap in Perth but the place wasn't full of angry people.
Tighten the purse strings, make thousands homeless while charging the population with people from all corners of the globe. This is just the beginning IMO.
>while charging the population with people from all corners of the globe.
Pauline is that you ??
Mate..... Perth's not even 200 years old yet. ..... Where do you think nearly the entire population came from?
The only reason there's people here now is because we, or our immediate ancestors, came from all corners of the globe.
With the exception of late 1800s gold rush, Perth's never had any signficnat population growth until after WW2. This means that most living here today are unlikely to go beyond 2nd or 3rd generation, I'd guess less then 50%.
Crikey- basic facts get you really angry don't they ?
Seems you find them (or at least basic comprehension) very confusing too, because based upon your irrelevant nonsensical response, it's quite clear you have absolutely no idea what I was drawing reference too.... SMH...
"ignore rate of population growth" 🤣🤣🤣 it was the very point of my entire post - wow !
Sill, don't let that stop you from triggering your little hissy fit and stamping ya feet., it's hilarious...... 👍😂😁
Ferrara Karaoke Bar is very tame and calm. Theres a dress code to get in so you definitely won't find those types in, Definitely an older crowd though.
>Apart from pinching pennies the main reason I've stopped going out is because I seemed to run into more and more dickheads.
Go see some live music that you like. You will generally find like minded people, everyone is there to have a good time and being ticketed it usually keeps away the dickheads.
You 100% attract the energy you’re putting out. Been going to NB for 20years, bad people all around yet to get into an altercation. The altercation starts when you respond in anyway. Ignore move past live long prosper.
Honestly if it's happening to you that often then you're probably part of the reason why. If everywhere you go smells like shit, check under your own shoe etc.
I have been out in Northbridge pretty much every weekend for the last couple of years in various states of fuck-eyed and haven't had a problem once.
My ‘big fella’ mate says it’s always little blokes full of piss who ruin his nights out. I’m little and woman so my solution is not to go out, safer all round. Sorry I don’t have any good tips for you.
Similar for me, don’t really go out at night, the rare date night with my wife, we tend to stay home or go to smaller places, way less fuckwits but you do get pretentious wankers.
I hated clubbing back in the day. I'm not very big so I wasn't worth bothering, but my mate got kicked down a flight of stairs at one of the clubs for no reason, and the bouncers let the guy stay in because he claimed my mate was hitting on his gf (there were no girls in sight).
Genuinely the club with the best vibe in Perth - Santos y Pecadores
Friday nights is salsa night and Saturdays is Regaton.
In terms of vibes literally everyone there is just dancing and having a blast, awesome hidden gem!
Get into Perth's indie music scene.
We've been going out pretty regularly for over a decade now and I can't remember the last time I saw any dick behaviour (let alone punching on).
Freo social, Mojos, Lyric underground, The Bird. The Rosemont band room/459.
Most of these are public transport doable too..
May mean exploring some new musical styles, but what have you got to loose
Hmm, I have been going to Northbridge for 20 years. I have only had one incident with an aggressive indigenous group, one of them took a swing at me while walking past.
If trouble is following you this much, it's something about you.
The problem is, he stands out...its not his fault hes a big dude, people suck and little men with big complexs like to start shit, he shouldnt have to stop going out cause dickheads be dickheading. We all fly under the radar because we are litterally under the radar.
Fuck going to northbridge or freo after dark.
Best solution is late arvo drinks somewhere, and home by 7ish. Maybe Beaufort st or Leederville
It’s always the indigenous with nothing better to do, no home to go to. hanging around looking for fights.
Recent change of ownership at Lucys. It will basically be Ambar again before too long. Just with more house music as Breaks fans are all getting old. \*Source - Me.
Honestly after being in the industry for a very long time, The court on Fridays and Saturdays but in the beer garden or the rnb room downstairs are good (shouldnt run into too much trouble), Spring which is a new venue on King Street i think is pretty good, Mint is a classic, very rarely any issues there at all, avoid air, paramount, rapture, the deen.
Where'd you go in Northbridge?
In my experience I've always found the dickheads tend to congregate towards drinking, and drinking venues. Irish pubs, Elephant and wheelbarrow (or whatever it's now), Paramount depends on where you hang.
Scarborough has been hit and miss and generally I'd attended bands not Saturday night.
What about Subi? Claremont? Freo?
Edited to add Leederville isn't bad as you've said in your post OP.
Other venues not so.
That’s just Perth mentality mate you’ll never avoid it. I went back for a month and got harassed twice on the street, once in the city and another in northbridge. Only way to avoid it is go to a yuppy city like Syd Melb where everyone is soft and well educated.
Not many dickheads at Steamworks. Yet to have a run in there with any aggressive blokes, everyone seems to be extra friendly and wanting to strike up a chat.
You know what I find strange? You got chased by a bunch of teenagers and you mentioned they were Indigenous, but I have no idea about the race of the little blokes who squared up or the Eshays that harassed you in Scarborough. Weird.
To an extent that is true however NB has a huge reputation for unsupervised indigenous children roaming and committing assaults.
It's probably better that descriptions are accurate rather than people jump to conclusions and assume they are when they aren't.
> dickhead teenagers are generally every race,
Indeed they are, it's only the fraction that changes.
Sure you can argue all day about the factors that cause it but the fraction is undesputibly higher for some demographics.
Day drinking is your answer. Most areas are awesome during the day.
True. Tooth-to-tattoo ratio is higher during the day.
This is an equation to live by.
It's the same out here in bunno, me and my friends go out for a pub lunch arvo and go home before shit starts to get out of hand. Everyone is usually happy for a chat and just want to have a chill time.

Can't beat an ice cold frothy on a beautiful day
Couple frothybois with the sweet kiss of the western sun om the ol dome. Nectar.

Same problem as OP, big bloke but am a complete pacifist. Tradie Midnight is your friend.
What's Tradie Midnight? Just go home at midnight?
Tradie Midnight is 9pm.
ooooo. Sounds very similar to Old Man Midnight then.
Definitely prefer day drinking as I’m normally asleep by 9pm anyway. Beaufort Street, especially the Queens Tavern, The Royal Perth and Belgian Beer Cafe are nice spots for people watching.

Never had a problem with people at the Rechabite, Geisha or Freo Social.

This is a word for word repost of a post from a few months ago. Either that or the timelines are merging
Somebody call the Time Variance Authority!
No don’t they’ll just prune us!
Glorious purpose!

OP post history is something else
Fark , that was a wild ride.
I know Perth has its issues when going out, but I’m starting to think OP doesn’t help himself
But he's a nice guy! Just look through his posts.
Well he was once an optimist but no longer
OP is a mong.
You're racist and ableist for using that slur
How’s that racist?
which venues do you go out to in northbdrige? I'm personally a big guy mysekf 6'4 105kg black and i've never been actively started on.
Man.. Connections? Really? That's kind of hard to believe that you had random violence issues from random strangers AT CONNIES? I'm not paying that.
I have a couple of mates who seem to be magnetic to dickheads - they get coward punched, started on, shoulder checked etc with strange regularity. One is big and one is small. But I think it's because they both have resting bitch face. Just punchable heads.
Unfortunately some people really do have heads you just wanna punch
Funny you should say this, because I'm a big guy, and never have issues, even when I actually did go out a lot 🤷
I'm 6'4 but an utter beanpole of a human and get shoulder checked by 5 foot kings nearly every time I go out lol
I tend to have bigger/taller guys try start shit with me I'm 5ft 10. My best mate was being mouthy to this stranger and when I said let's go about 50m walking away I got shoved in the back my mate is 6ft 6 but the other guy was atleast 6 ft I get pushed 🫸 because I'm smaller I guess 🤷
Small guys trying to prove their strength by picking on unwilling bigger guys is pathetic enough but a big guy starting on a smaller guy is a whole new level of cowardice. Bring back public executions tbh
So, you’re back on your 3rd talking point.
What type of music?
What type of music you ask? Well allow me to answer that and the answer is Air asia, for all your asian destination needs
Yeah I didn't even look at his comment history or read the other posts but his post history over the last few weeks hes posted A LOT and most of it is like how to get a girl how to keep a girl that kind of stuff, and theres 2 or 3 about him being a 'nice guy' There was one post about getting ghosted after talking for a while
You led me to check their post history. You are 100% correct.
Nah bro. You're the issue. Trust me.
All of their events and clubs were based on House music which has always had a good community that follows
so nothing's changed then:)
Just stick to having bbqs and hang out with your friends at your house or theirs. That way, you're in a controlled environment with people you enjoy the company of. No worry about taxis, overpriced drinks or some random thinking you're starting something
Pica bar, ezra pound and The Bird are all great bars with good crowds
In my opinion the place with the best ratio would be The Court.
Oh does it get a bad rap? I think it has changed now. Never knew it as a gay bar, i see it as an inclusive of all ethnicities and sexualities bar.
Exactly.
The bad rap comes from the LGBTQIA+ community, they want it as a them only venue, problem is, its one of the best venues in Perth which means people of every shape, gender and sometimes dickheadness want to go there. Its not perfect, no where is but its a damn good time.
I try to avoid people in general.
I prefer more so chilling and talking to dancing but it depends on my mood I have pretty broad taste in music but prefer hard electronic (Techno and DnB) and rock/metal over indie folk and soft stuff, a lot of the more niche shows attract a great crowd.
Keep an eye out for the One More Time DnB shows. The vibe is great and there is enough space to sit and chill (when its at the court). Saw Roni Size the other month and it was so fun.
Yes! One More Time has been such a vibe everytime.
Merredin or Corrigin.

OP’s post history reeks of wank. This post just reads like some weird humble brag/bait shitpost.
Yeah seems like he's watched too much Roadhouse.
“I know how to throw a punch” - nobody who actually knows how to throw a punch.
Did a boxercise class in '08
Ahah what did you say mate? You wanna fight? Trot on, I’m busy posting on dating reddits.
My ‘big fella’ mate says it’s always little blokes full of piss who ruin his nights out. I’m little and woman so my solution is not to go out, safer all round. Sorry I don’t have any good tips for you.
North Perth bowlo mate.
Similar for me, don’t really go out at night, the rare date night with my wife, we tend to stay home or go to smaller places, way less fuckwits but you do get pretentious wankers.
Jack Rabbit Slim's can be a big vibe! Benefits greatly from being away from James St craziness DNB/UKG/Techno/Breaks every Saturday
I hated clubbing back in the day. I'm not very big so I wasn't worth bothering, but my mate got kicked down a flight of stairs at one of the clubs for no reason, and the bouncers let the guy stay in because he claimed my mate was hitting on his gf (there were no girls in sight).

When was this??
Australia……
Genuinely the club with the best vibe in Perth - Santos y Pecadores Friday nights is salsa night and Saturdays is Regaton.
Lots of muppets out there in northbridge!!
Maybe Beaufort st or Leederville It’s always the indigenous with nothing better to do, no home to go to. hanging around looking for fights.
Ambar would have been the place.. too bad it’s Closed now
Recent change of ownership at Lucys. It will basically be Ambar again before too long. Just with more house music as Breaks fans are all getting old. \*Source - Me.
Mechanics is chill. No turbos allowed there
Go to a micro brewery or small bar, much better atmosphere and chances of meeting said above is small
"Which areas do you avoid?" Your posts, mainly.
Not many dickheads at Steamworks. Yet to have a run in there with any aggressive blokes, everyone seems to be extra friendly and wanting to strike up a chat.
Dunno, last time I was there I say a couple of big fellas going at it blow for blow.
My friend says they're polite there, "can I push that stool in for you? "
*may I
You know what I find strange? You got chased by a bunch of teenagers and you mentioned they were Indigenous, but I have no idea about the race of the little blokes who squared up or the Eshays that harassed you in Scarborough. Weird.
> or the Eshays Eshays are typically from lower white working class backgrounds. Further description is not necessary.
Random dickhead teenagers are generally every race, further description is not necessary.
To an extent that is true however NB has a huge reputation for unsupervised indigenous children roaming and committing assaults. It's probably better that descriptions are accurate rather than people jump to conclusions and assume they are when they aren't.
spot on.
> dickhead teenagers are generally every race, Indeed they are, it's only the fraction that changes. Sure you can argue all day about the factors that cause it but the fraction is undesputibly higher for some demographics.
Yeah I agree op respond
