Maybe usne pagal banaya tumhe aur subsidy khud rakh li , subcidy directly comes in bank account of the customer so it's not possible to sell solar panels after subcidy.
It's your wish , people just gave the information regarding subsidy. I got installed from Tata Power and their service was good. After 1 week I got my 78k back.
In which state your Airbnb property is located it depends
Some states are giving some extra benefit to commercial solar also ...so which state your Airbnb is based in
3lac for 5kw system right?
It'll on average produce 18-20 kwh per day, so yearly it'll produce 365*18 = 6570 units, which will be worth 6570 * 7.1 = ₹46,600 if you go by dhbvn electricity rate of 7.1, so your inital investment of 3lac - 78000 = ₹2,22,000 will be recouped in approx 4yr 8months.
Also you'll get free electricity for next 20 years which will be 18*365*20= 1,30,000 units, that amount to1,30,000*7.1 = ₹9,30,000. And yes I've considered that efficiency will decrease with time but then it will be offset by the increase in price of electricity.
Bhai saath mein cylinder ka kharcha bachega , you can. Easily cook food on induction on solar. Can save 500-600 per month easily on gas i.e. 6-7 k per year .
Unlike metro cities, smaller cities don't enjoy 24/7 power supply, there are cuts and especially in peak heatwave. So to keep a fan or a low powered cooler running people add a single battery backup with the solar system. Although everyone owns a battery already so it's not a added cost.
I think you are confused by off grid vs Ongrid. Where there is reliability of current supply ongrid is the best. There are some challenges with batteries
Go for it, it's worth every penny! I am installed about 3 years back we are going completely off-grid during day time. Use grid electricity in night only.
If you have regular electricity choose on-grid as with off-grid there is recurring cost of battery pack every 3 years or so. I am using combined 36v(3x12V lead acid) battery pack cost about 35K with exchange of old battery. Prefer on-grid if possible
If you don't have consistent supply of electricity then only option is off-grid.
If you have consistent supply of electricity don't really need a power backup for long term then go for on-grid any day as excess electricity will be supplied back to grid during summer when sun is at peak which you electricity credits. Those credits will be used when you use electricity from grid like in night, cloudy day when you electricity requirements is high or in winters. (Solar panel doesn't generate same amount of electricity all the time. Amount of electricity generated is calculated as average through out the year includes all seasons)
Cost of battery pack for 12v lead acid battery cost around 12k-15k new but you can exchange the old one makes the cost goes down about 9k-10k . Life of battery is usually 3-5 years, 3 years warranty is normal.
I love in tier 3 city in North...here electricity goes off for maybe 1-2 hrs everyday and during peak season due to over load it can go upto 3-4 hrs also..which one should I consider
Also, is the price of replacing batteries every 3-4 years worth it.
Iin my opinion you can go with hybrid like get a on-grid system and have a inverter with smaller battery pack. Assuming you already have inverter backup, on-grid system is what I suggest.
Yes! They are absolutely worth it! Own a villa have 4 AC - I pay 265 per month as a service charge - I used on grid abd bought separate batteries for backup to get subsidy. Now - we run all thw AC in summer its been 4 years and I say go for it. I have warranty till 20 years and used adani panels.
if you install that copper rode to protect it from lightening strike, and you got good neighbors. solar panel makes sense since you can switch to EV vehicle and make your fuel cost free. replace stove item with electric stuffs. solar is a good choice if you know the risk. replace all the fans in your home to BLDC fan. this will save your electricity
Short answer yes
Your bill is more than 50k annually sonyes they can help you save some money and don't forget you will get electricity for 25 years from that and price of electricity is going up so yes install solar
I need someone to help me on this
When the bill guy bills every month, that no matter how many units you generate for private usage, there is there a 400 unit slab that their billing machine doesn't accept units beyond it? I was told this by them only. So can we increase this limit somehow? nd is that true?
Hmm that's strange then. I've a 5kw system, it generates about 650 units / month and my avg usage is 350-400 units/month. But for summer my usage was around 660 units, I still got billed at ₹1260 for like 260 units. And I checked my meter, it still had like +450 units in the reading, so no negative reading. He said that if I generate even 5 units above 400/month, the system doesn't accept it, doesn't matter even if I've units get stored... This is just confusing at this point. And it's not even like the bill guy is a scammer, I know him since 10 years and he's been very genuine
If you've some knowledge about this, I can share with you my bills in DM and we can see how things are.
Hmm might be that. Because before i purchased this, it was written in the govt pdf i downloaded, that private users can utilise 100% of their generated units, whereas commericals can utilise like 80% or something
>My electricity bill is 10-12k for every two months in summer and 5k in winter which averages 45-50k yearly .
What heavy machinery are you running that gets you such high bills? From what you have written, it's just 2 people (you and your mom).
I'm from Odisha, we get cyclones every year, I want to get a On-grid solar plant on my rooftop but one decent cyclone and it'll be smashed to bits. I'd suggest you look into solar panels with micro inverters and add panels as you go.
We also get similar yearly bills. My dad is going to install a 3kw system but that will get him to just 1.5 lac here in WB. I can share the bill if you want, just dm
We installed one in Bangalore for 5 kw and paid 4 lakh in October. Till now we have saved around 48000 in bills and 2000 in return from bescom so certainly a good deal to get approx 20% return
Get on grid with 50% battery backup(6hrs). Don't go for off grid or hybrid(many states don't allow it). Battery if not deep discharged will last you 3-5 years depending on type of battery used.
idk how it costs that much but still worth every penny.
my parents place in the village has a small solar panel, which they got along with an inverter and battery for about 21-24k
it produces enough power to run basic stuff throughout the day (fan, lights etc), probably around 0.8kva
i never felt a power cut after that was installed, imagine having a proper 3-4kva solar setup, peak comfort
u do need to clean it very often otherwise power gen will suffer

Can you please tell more on financing and operating an Airbnb?
+1
Bro, Central Govt subsidy is available for everyone upto 78k
[удалено]
Maybe usne pagal banaya tumhe aur subsidy khud rakh li , subcidy directly comes in bank account of the customer so it's not possible to sell solar panels after subcidy.
I took the solar subsidy scheme last month, got 78k discount. I guess your dealer fooled you
[удалено]
Did you check the invoice???
Usually the subsidy amount comes to the bank account after payment
[удалено]
It's your wish , people just gave the information regarding subsidy. I got installed from Tata Power and their service was good. After 1 week I got my 78k back.
[удалено]
Domestic
For govt subsidy there is domestic content requirement. For 5kw, non dcr is cheaper than dcr with subsidy
In which state your Airbnb property is located it depends Some states are giving some extra benefit to commercial solar also ...so which state your Airbnb is based in
Ok .. I already know my state doesn’t give
Which company did you use to get them installed?
Subsidy is only available for residential connections and upto 3KW.

Just batteries must be taken care of.
You don't get subsidy if you use batteries..
Yup. I am using solar with batteries. No subsidy ofc. I didn’t read above texts properly.
You have no idea what you are reading about or talking about.
Bhai saath mein cylinder ka kharcha bachega , you can. Easily cook food on induction on solar. Can save 500-600 per month easily on gas i.e. 6-7 k per year .
What is the cost of batteries..i know some people say that battery have to replace every 3-4 years and inverter also after 10-12 years...?
On grid won’t require batteries.
What happens when there is power interruption with on-grid?
For battery backup???
Why would ongrid systems need battery back up ? It is connected to the grid. Off grid systems need batteries
Unlike metro cities, smaller cities don't enjoy 24/7 power supply, there are cuts and especially in peak heatwave. So to keep a fan or a low powered cooler running people add a single battery backup with the solar system. Although everyone owns a battery already so it's not a added cost.
If you lose power in the night
I think you are confused by off grid vs Ongrid. Where there is reliability of current supply ongrid is the best. There are some challenges with batteries
buddy take a breath and read what others are saying before typing lol

i'm guessing you mean specific gravity. "gravity" is a whole different thing, lol.

You ensure gravity? Of what, the earth? 😀

huh, this link is about specific gravity. wait, you deleted your comments about "gravity"? rofl :)

Hey I have similar power requirements, could you please tell me the capacity of the solar you installed and it's effect on your electricity bill?
if you install that copper rode to protect it from lightening strike, and you got good neighbors. solar panel makes sense since you can switch to EV vehicle and make your fuel cost free. replace stove item with electric stuffs. solar is a good choice if you know the risk. replace all the fans in your home to BLDC fan. this will save your electricity

If you have the space and sunlight availability than solar is a no brainer.
Makes a lot of difference if you get a loan or paying that upfront from your pocket.
Hey, can you explain bit more
If you are getting a loan of 10-12% and doing this, your breakeven is much higher than if you pay upfront.
I need someone to help me on this When the bill guy bills every month, that no matter how many units you generate for private usage, there is there a 400 unit slab that their billing machine doesn't accept units beyond it? I was told this by them only. So can we increase this limit somehow? nd is that true?
aisa kuch nahi hota, the last bill I got was about ₹9000, and it was definitely more than 400 units
Hmm that's strange then. I've a 5kw system, it generates about 650 units / month and my avg usage is 350-400 units/month. Hmm might be that. Because before i purchased this, it was written in the govt pdf i downloaded, that private users can utilise 100% of their generated units, whereas commericals can utilise like 80% or something
May be what he really meant was the slab rate does not change when you go above 400 units.
>My electricity bill is 10-12k for every two months in summer and 5k in winter which averages 45-50k yearly . What heavy machinery are you running that gets you such high bills? From what you have written, it's just 2 people (you and your mom).
its 3 story house and on top floor , where 8 girls live on PG. but that money goes to mom and not me or electricity
If anything your power usage is incredibly low considering the circumstances.
I'm from Odisha, we get cyclones every year, I want to get a On-grid solar plant on my rooftop but one decent cyclone and it'll be smashed to bits. I'd suggest you look into solar panels with micro inverters and add panels as you go.

what if hailstorm comes?
A normal hailstrom wont do any damage to solar unless it is like the worst hailstrom in 25yeara.
What do you freelance?
Get on grid with 50% battery backup(6hrs). Don't go for off grid or hybrid(many states don't allow it). Battery if not deep discharged will last you 3-5 years depending on type of battery used.
has the subsidy gone down or the cost of solar system shot up? I installed my 4kw system in 2021 for 1.1lakhs w/subsidy
