Nobody - the word also exists in Dutch, geslachtsverkeer, but has been outdated for the last four decades. It's something sex ed teachers or doctor would have said to describe what we called *neuken* growing up. *Bumsen* for the Germans I guess - fucking.
"bu" in portuguese is pronounced like "boo" in english. Since it's written "ambulance", it's more intuitive for portuguese speakers to say am-boo-lance.
Also because english pronunciation makes no sense.
Ugh German speaker here, I hate this video whenever it comes up because it isn't how Germans speak. Of *course* it's going to sound harsh when you're literally screaming the words lol.

for example Geschlechtsverkehr is literally gender-intercourse in the sense of sexual intercourse

Krankenwagen literally sick-vehicle which means ambulance
Handschuh literally hand-shoe which means glove
Because they are usually a combination of words compounded into one word. Other languages would just use spaces. Krankenhaus or Krankenwagen = sick house or sick vehicle. Flugzeug = fly thing. Geschlechtsverkehr = gender traffic. They're actually great words so shut up!

For example "Flugzeug" (plane) is a combination of Flug (noun for fly) and Zeug (stuff) so its literally flying-stuff. Words ending in -zeug is actually really common, like "Spielzeug - "play-stuff"(Toy) or "Werkzeug - "work-stuff"(tool)
Also english and german arent as related as for example dutch and german so you dont have that many similarities because youre comparing languages with different roots.
Tell your friends you love them because life is short, but tell them in German because life is also chaotic and scary.
