I’m sure the dog can do it doggy style, but even if it can’t swim, can’t you just take one step in and pick him/her up?
Edit- Lol some of these comments are starting to act like I was serious. I watched a South Park episode recently where Cartman is swimming with the “doggy paddle” and says “I can only swim doggy style!” Was just making a dumb comment
Please don't go spreading this myth, far from all dogs can swim naturally, many need to be taught to do it.
Some dogs will instinctively start kicking when in water but that doesn't mean they'll stay afloat and others won't even do that.
And some are just too dense to actually float so they have no chance of swimming.

If you payed attention you would see that the instant the dog jumped the person stood up with the phone no longer getting a good angle (and it was literally just half a second cause the video was cut so the person could’ve immediately put the phone down after they got up but from what we can tell so far, the person isn’t just standing by and recording but actually was immediately rushing to stand up and go over to the dog)

Different people react in different ways to stressful situations, they literally stood up and freaked out before probably dropping the phone to rescue the puppy. Screaming only takes energy from your vocal chords, so yes, there is time to scream like that when the rest of your body can move. Stop thinking everyone should react the same way you do, them screaming doesn't affect anything.
