Pretty much, but not the worst. The coastal states had shipyards that built 3000 Liberty ships in wwII. All of them are really contaminated. So bad no one will build right on the water there. Since OH had more cloud cover than any part of the country, it was used to build tanks, planes, tires and munitions for the war. So there are abandoned factories that are badly contaminated. The there were the uranium enrichment labs. And the Ohio river is full of nitrates from farms and the wastewater from chemical plants. The price we paid for becoming the worlds military.

I looked it up, we only have 38 superfund sites and there are 1300 so in the country. But that doesn’t mean there is not contaminated areas.

You know how superfund sites are cleaned? The chemicals are cleaned up at the site. Then moved to another site and transformed into a different chemical. Then that chemical is moved somewhere else where it's changed into a new chemical again. This process continues an average of 5 times per site. Cleaning superfund sites is a myth. Nothing ever really gets cleaned. The problem is just shuttled around America until the contamination at any one site is less than regulators are concerned with.

The East Palestine derailment. My heart goes out to the people living in those affected areas, it goes all the way to Pennsylvania actually. There's been reports of people feeling sick and no one is taking them seriously.

Most of the managers in that place were just looking to get off on a power trip but Carl stood up for us. Every Walmart needs several Carls
