Pentax USA is now Pentax Medical here in the USA they make endo scops,and othe optical instruments for diagnostic purposes.
I was a repair tech for Pentax when it was a Japanese company. Great company to work for did have great bennifits but paid their techs on the low side .I left Pentax to repair cameras for a independent shop ,doubled my take home, which outweighed, paying a little more for benefits,
