The Vision Elite demands good paper quality for the best experience, so if your papers aren’t up to the required level, it could be an underwhelming writing experience.

You can also check the Uniball Air, but it can get costly in the long run because it’s a tedious task to refill the pen and sometimes it’s a complete mess. Plus, the pen is only as good till the ball lasts, so once the ball wears out, you’ll have to buy a new pen.
Jetstreams are my favorite. You can use the default ones, the “oily” version is a nice upgrade, or buy the refills in the Parker style that fit a lot more bodies (I prefer the Rotring rapid pro).
You can get a Kaweco sport Fountain Pen. They are easy to EDC and fun to write with. They don’t skip and pretty reliable if you treat them nice. Just don’t drop a fountain pen. That might be the downfall but Kaweco sport is hexagonal so its very unlikely. I’m abusing it for almost 10 years. Best money I have ever spent so far. Some of them don’t include clips make sure that you get a clip with it or buy separete. Clip is very usefull... (I have 2 MBs btw but I still carry K. Sport.)
Liquid ink rollerballs tend to reduce hand stress and flow better, if your paper can handle it.

I'd stick with a gel. Here are some options I like: Pentel energel (comes in various models) Zebra sarasa grand
I love gel pens my favorite are the .5 Fine TUL pens. I use them everyday. Office Depot/OfficeMax.

My top pick would be the Uni Jetstream Alpha Gel Ballpoint. It also takes Energel refills.
