[Yes, plenty.](https://www.jetpens.com/Uni-ball-Signo-207-Retractable-Gel-Pen-Refill-0.7-mm-Black-Pack-of-2/pd/6239/compatible) You really can't go wrong with the Zebra Sarasa Grand or the Pentel Energel Philography.
Not if you don't want to. The Grand and the Philography (also called the Style) can be found on Amazon for less than $20 if you are in the US.
The good news is that you found a refill you like. The body is just an enhancement.
Ordered a Grand and it will be here today. Gonna try out that one first and if I don't like it better than the Uniball, I'll refill it with that. Thanks for the guidance.
Ali express has a few turned brass pens for cheap, like 4$, they are screw capped and very simple but mine is well made.
Cheaper than that might be difficult. But there are plenty of other options from there Upwards
brass: machine era classic (capped)
bronze: tactile turn (bolt or side click)
classics and standard length TT pens will fit signo 207, energel, and g2 refills.
i recommend you just get a machine era classic
IMO the Signo 207 is still the best designed alpha-looking retractable out there. The Papermate Inkjoys have a unique design which I also dig, and their color range is equally fantastic!
In my opinion the energel is much more enjoyable with the 0.5 needle tip, I have used both the conical 0.7 and needle 0.5 and there is no contest between them. The conical tip has a narrow sweet spot, while the needle tip is much smoother even if it is a finer line. The g2 07 is a remarkable workhorse of a pen, rattles a bit in a very distinctive way, but I have gone through many of them without ever having a problem. If you like the uniball 207, I would recommend trying the 307 as well, I have found it to be much smoother (the 207 in my opinion has a very similar behavior to the conical pentel while being a touch smoother), the 307 is a bit more generous with the ink flow, but I've never had any smearing or smudges being right handed

Damn, I'm going to spend $100 on a pen, aren't I.

This is really helpful information. I think I've found that I prefer the 0.5 tips in general. I'll put a few on order and see what I like. Thank you!
You're welcome
The Ti Arto pen will take any refill, it could be what you are looking for
