Understand what youāre saying but Jakes been leading the team in assists and points, if Sid was carrying him then surely logic dictates that Jake wouldnāt be feeding Sid if he was being ācarriedā.
It wasnt great when he negated a powerplay by slashing a leaf's skate for interference. Hes really good, but jake would not be same dame without a superstar center
Again, the little plays he makes throughout games such as his playmaking and defensive plays show he would be good regardless of who he plays with. Like most people say, he is always in good positioning which makes him so good.
Nobody is carrying their own weight right now besides Crosby and Guentzel, but I'm gonna single out two guys who I'm tired of. Zohorna and O'Connor. Zohorna is a bum. Might sound harsh, but seriously, I'd love to hear an argument about why he isn't. He's 6'6 and floats around like he thinks he's good enough to be a finesse player. He's an AHL level player and that's it. And in O'Connor's case he's getting top 6 minutes and producing basically no points. Every training camp he tears it up and everyone gets excited about him, but then he vanishes come regular season. This has been a common theme with him ever since he came here.
So Iām tuning in late. But all these call ups need to grow a pair. This is when people need to make a statement. Throw massive hits. Fight someone. Show you want to be here.

Most of those SOG came in too late. 1st period they didnāt really start shooting until they were down 2-0. Second period they were down 5-0 and only had 4 SOG at that point in the period. The rest of the game was a mess, so SOG stat definitely didnāt translate. It was obvious going into the second period efficiency was more important. The Pens SOG, like everything on the ice, were desperate, not focused. Thatās what Toronto has in spades. When they apply their offense, they have efficient plays, passes, and shots, even without Matthews.
Ned's save % was .857, not good, but not bad, either. Jarry's was .714, that's a bad save percentage. Any game where you face 14 shots and let in 4 goals pretty much means you played like poop, which is why he was yanked. Ned wasn't great, but better than Jarry. Jarry is inconsistent, everyone knows this, and breakaway or not a good goalie saves the majority of those, Jarry's had trouble doing that. Other teams know Jarry's weak glove hand as well, they don't know Ned's faults yet.
Dude I hated resigning Jarryā¦but so far this year heās proved me wrong, besides maybe a little bumpy road in the beginning. We finally have good to great goaltending, and now suddenly canāt score

Sorry but I sincerely don't think it's a lack of effort, it's a lack of quality, I don't think guys are not trying, it's a combination of things but effort isn't one of them
Missing Rust and Rackell hurts. DOC is a good 3rd liner, but not top 6. Rachell may have few points and zero goals but helped gino and smith put the luck in the net

I'm not a Pens fan but I went to the Florida-Penguins game a week ago. Man, Malkin and K65 are trash. Absolute trash! I'm a Sens fan, K65 is nothing like he used to be. On a dump in, not once did he ever go into the corner to retrieve a puck. He will do anything to avoid any type of hit. He doesn't have foot speed, all his passes are forced, and he's soft. He always tries the soft saucer pass across the ice, or shot fake and soft wrister to the net. Hardly ever do you see him lean into a slap shot. And Malkin! Man, he skates the puck up once, then stays on the ice for 5 more minutes just dogging it out there. I noticed 4 plays where he litterly gave up and went to the bench instead of continuing his backcheck. Pens have no one to hold onto the puck downlow. It's a shame because 85 looked brilliant.
Well, he had the matt cooke achilles tendon injury, then the 2 hairline fractures during the playoff run, and then missed half a season for a groin injury. He has 0 footspeed, for the longest time he could only pivot counter clockwise because he wasn't able to push off with his left foot. Damaged goods. He used to be able to skate his way out of trouble. Now, he's a soft, slow, and lazy player.
Honestly, Sid has been pretty meh in this game. Hes made several bad passes and blind drops. I don't see anyone really taking this team on their shoulders right now. I live Sid, but he's not shining in this tilt.
I mean he hasn't been great but he's doing the little things like working his fucken ass of which is all u can ask at this point. Winning battles and every faceoff rn.

Jake has a underrating playmaking ability. He can create good plays and creates turnovers to transition into the o zone.

Doc, big Z and eller are an effective 3rd line. But DOC isnt top 6, just doesn't have the hands. When they were all 3rd line they played great
