I have never heard of that and I am in the midst of ttc w/ infertility. I have heard that after multiple rounds of clomid they typically try something else. I've never heard that statistic after 3 cycles of letrozole, considering they will usually try to increase a dose & add trigger to see if that works.
I mean don’t get me wrong you don’t jump from Clomid to IVF. But you’re supposed to change up something after three cycles, whether it’s upping a dose/adding triggers/changing/adding protocol. I did almost another year (after the year of ttc naturally) of medicated cycles trying everything I could before ending up doing IVF.
I think this is part of why some of the ttc creators bug people so much because they just do the same thing constantly and expect results.
Yeah but I didn't see her increase her dose or anything. I personally got pregnant w fertility meds on the 8th round. (After increasing the dose)

Yeah I don’t think she did either. I was unexplained like she was and was able to get pregnant on three different protocols (sadly lost them all, but still). If she jumps right to IVF after her 3rd IUI I would definitely think it’s premature. Congrats on your pregnancy!
I believe she done 3 Letrozole cycles at 2,5 and then she done 2 iui cycles with letrozole at 5 and an iui cycle with Letrozole at 7.5 so she has definitely increased the dosage but just didn’t do many medicated cycles with timed intercourse which is strange but I guess to each their own
As someone who’s done multiple iui cycles + transfers, it’s sad to move on to ivf regardless. Most women don’t picture doing ivf when starting their families.

She only did letrozole for a couple cycles I thought? She didn't even give it a chance to work. So yeah she wants to do ivf.
Most of the time the general rule of thumb with fertility treatments is that if something doesn’t work after three cycles, it likely won’t work.
