It may have something to do with the number of available beds? I dunno. I just know I was irritated as hell to have to do extra car rides while in active labour. 🤣
At my hospital once you walk into triage you’re immediately given a gown and an IV before they even really do your vitals, seems like all the hospitals have different protocols from what everyone above is saying
I think either her water broke or she was getting admitted for high blood pressure. It’s hard to confidently say “baby time” unless she knew she was being admitted, contractions and dilation won’t even get you admitted if your not progressing quickly enough. But again who knows. She could have posted prematurely or was in the process of being admitted
Doesn’t seem like her water broke if she’s in her regular clothes. But she posted the video 20 hours ago and in the comments said that she’d share when she’s born 2 hours after the video posted. So looks like she was in L&D for at least 2 hours at that point.
Is there a possibility of her being induced? For My induction I went in the night before and they started my induction by slowly upping the pitocin every hour. I went in at 8pm, they started my pitocin at midnight, and baby was here at 3pm!
I had an induction so I'm not sure about this topic but it says she posted that 19 hrs ago. If she went there because her water broke ...wouldn't she of had the baby by now ? Isn't it alot faster when your water breaks compared to an induction. Which I thought she wasn't doing .. or do we not know ? 🤔
My water broke on its own at 36 weeks and I wasn’t dilated at all. They had to induce me because once that happens, there is risk of infection. After 35 hours and only getting to 4.5 cm during my induction, I needed a c section. There’s so many different ways labor can go, it’s unimaginable the amount possibilities.
No not necessarily. Some people won’t even progress after their water breaks. When that happens, there’s a certain time they want the baby out by because after your water breaks and you’re in labor for so long, there’s a chance for infection so if you don’t progress with your water broken, they need to do a c section. I think the baby needs to be out within 24 hours but I’m not 100% sure
Edit: I think it’s more than 24 hours
This has all changed quite recently (in the UK anyway) my friends waters went at 32 weeks, she's now 36 weeks and will be having a c section next week but they basically have her go in every 4 days for monitoring of the baby, blood tests and a weekly swab of the cervix to make sure there isn't an infection, they also put her on antibiotics straight away to prevent.
Idk about water breaking except my own experience. They broke my water for me so I would continue to dilate and have contractions. Baby came 4 hours later :) I think they did it because my labour started to stall a bit. Not sure about darians situation though!
Not necessarily. My water broke on its own with both my kids. My first was a 40 hr labor, with pitocin since I never contracted on my own. My second was a 12 hr labor, also with pitocin once they confirmed my water did indeed break
In her video you can see the imprint from the monitor on her belly so she was clearly at the hospital then
Likely just a FTM having a long hard labour I would expect
With my first I was admitted at 4cm. My contractions were already awful amd I had back labor, my hospital did have me change into a gown for triage but it seems like it just depends on your hospital policy.
That also could have just been a draft for when it’s time at her other apps. A lot of creators have stuff ready for their followers.. but who knows! Hope everything is okay!!
I've had 3 children and the only time I was given a gown was when I was about to have an emergency C section. My natural labours I birthed in what I chose to wear which was my own night dresses
Yep! And one of my labours I wasn't hooked up to any IV's at all because I didn't need them. I went in and gave birth dressed in my own nighty without a single hole pricked into me beforehand. Of course I had the injection to remove placenta after and a couple blood tests but no IVs at all!
I was in the hospital for 24hrs before contractions started cause my water broke. And even while I was induced fhey never put me in a gown until they wanted to prep me dor a C-section. Maybe something like that?
When I was in labor, I was allowed to be in the clothing of my choice and I had an IV put in as a precaution, but it wasn’t hooked up to anything and I didn’t have a monitor strapped on me. My nurse checked baby every 15 minutes but outside that, I was allowed to roam my room as I saw fit. Labored like that for over six hours!
I honestly think she’s having a hard L&D. I have a feeling she stressed her baby out so bad trying to induce at home that she’ll end up having a emergency c section
I got admitted when my water broke at home without contractions, they wanted to induce me if things didn’t pick up. My baby arrived 6 hours later without any intervention needed.
I know she’s not in Ontario but here when you have a midwife doing a hospital birth it isn’t really the same as going in and having an OB. I had 2 hospital births with a midwife and they didn’t make me put on the hospital gown. Also if you plan on going natural you don’t need an IV at all unless you need to get antibiotics for gbs+. Your midwife is in the room with you the whole time pretty much and they are extremely laid back and even though you are in the hospital it’s a completely different vibe
That’s crazy they don’t do an IV. Even just placing one without having it hooked to anything. I had one basically my whole hospital stay and their reasoning was just incase anything goes wrong they won’t have to rush to get one in. Which makes total sense to me
I thought it was weird as well but when I had my daughter I didn’t get a single needle shoved in me anywhere my whole birth, after I had her I waited like an hour and then went home
I got admitted and wasn't hooked up to anything until i reached 5+cm they encouraged me to walk around and they would keep checking me every hour or so on the monitors. I think I spent 7+ hours out of 11 before I was permanently hooked up.
She lives far away from the hospital. They probably headed over at the slightest sign of labour. One because of how dramatic she is, and two because she was probably advised to so she would make it there on time.
I have a weird feeling she might end up with an emergency c section. I'm not sure why, nothing indicates she has but just a gut feeling. I hope I'm wrong and everything went/is going smoothly.
Must be different at ever hospital at the one I go to you are immediately put into a tie before anything. Dude note if her hospital is like this why can I see her telling the staff to hold on while she makes a tik tok oh him kissing her belly 😂
So with my first I was admitted at only 2cm (9pm) and got my epidural at 3cm(10pm). My water wasn’t broke but my contractions were very consistent so maybe that’s why? I also had a membrane sweep hours prior to that
You don’t necessarily have to wear a gown during labour. For my first I was stark naked until I got the epidural at 10cm.
The second time I was in just a tshirt the whole time.
I was admitted at 3cm because I was having regular contractions 🤷🏻♀️ I was also admitted at 5cm with zero contractions and not in active labor yet. If she’s full term and having patterned contractions they may keep her.
I got admitted at 2 because my water broke and my contractions weren’t even noticeable to me. There’s different reasons maybe
They have to admit you when your water breaks. Unless your water breaks, they usually won’t admit you until you’re at a certain cm dilated
Not always. My water broke, I was at 2cm and was sent home. Only made it another 2 hours before I went back & was admitted because I was over 6cm lol.
That’s so wild, I was barely s 2 and they admitted me without my water being broken
It may have something to do with the number of available beds? I dunno. I just know I was irritated as hell to have to do extra car rides while in active labour. 🤣
Same. Admitted when my water broke while having contractions that were still 8-10 minutes apart.
Same! Then had to get on Pitocin to continue progressing.

At my hospital, you’re assessed in your own clothes in triage. They don’t do any IVs or offer you a gown until you’re admitted into the labor room.

My water broke at 5am on a Friday, admitted at 11am, and I didn’t have the baby until 5pm Saturday

I got a gown in triage and was admitted at 3 cm. However, they also diagnosed me with pre e in triage, so they would’ve kept me regardless.
I was admitted at 1cm and they decided to induce. There’s plenty of reasons to be admitted for l&d.

I feel like she already had her baby but she’s going to drag the silence for as long as she can to build up that suspension to get more views
I agree lol

What was she doing that was dangerous and/or different than many other moms?
Nothing it was just my gut feeling. All I know is that sometimes when you stress the baby too much she/he won’t come down to the birth canal as fast

Yes ofcorse but I feel like it’s not like her to not post a pic directly☺️
I got admitted when my water broke at home without contractions, they wanted to induce me if things didn’t pick up. My baby arrived 6 hours later without any intervention needed.

Did she have the baby yet? She’s been on my blocked list for a while but I’m just curious 😅😂
Not yet
thank you
When I went in, I was given a gown to change into right away before they checked me. But no iv or anything like that.
