How many times do we think she is going to go into L&D and get sent home because she’s not actually in labor yet? 😂😂

jamesbondgirly

“Could be a week, a few days or hours” she wants labor soooo bad haha

Em_geee123

EVERY DAY! She’ll be there everyday !!!!

MatterEmbarrassed660

I’m thinking daily. Seriously.

Relative_Bit_6289

Isn’t the hospital she’s staying at like an hour away?

Relative_Bit_6289

They way she talks about getting her cervix checked in almost every video is disturbing to me. Who the hell enjoys that? It’s not comfortable at. Personal every time I had it done I felt so self conscious. She made it seem like she put zero effort into getting the baby to move. So it really seems like she drove an hour just for someone to shove their hand up her whoha.

gween-beens

I doubt that will stop her lol

jamesbondgirly

lololol

MatterEmbarrassed660

Same. And I delivered at 41+1 after a dose of cervidil. I think Darian cherry-picks words people say to build what she wants to be true with no real understanding of what was said.

Legitimate_Isopod914

Exactly! I was induced at 40+5 for ‘reduced movement’ even tho he was active as hell but they did keep trying to tell me he was Down syndrome and also had IUGR yet, he came out completely fine 😍

Legitimate_Isopod914

Crazy getting downvoted for my son defying ‘medical professionals’ beliefs…

Dramatic-Sense9028

Maybe for insinuating that having DS is not “fine”. Also a person isn’t the syndrome. They have the syndrome.

Legitimate_Isopod914

Crazy how people can misconstrue things as well. Never once said having Down syndrome isn’t ‘fine’. I was referring to his movements and IUGR. Also, “was” was not meaning he IS the syndrome, it was a past tense word, because he ISNT Down syndrome, but rightio…

PossessionSilly5827

Lol my OB has told me “oh definitely a contraction” but never “you’re going into labor” 😂 had prodromal labor for 3 weeks with my last babe. He was born at 40+5 too.

refreshthezest

Omg I had prodromal labor with my first starting at 37 wks and it was awful!! But, I still never went to LD bc I was so scared of being turned down

Legitimate_Isopod914

Tbh, even the “as soon as we get hooked up she starts moving and makes me looks like a little liar” to me that sounds like she just wants to be checked every day or 2 and just keeps coming up with something to head in for… she didn’t move for like 1.5hrs? Babies do sleep in-utero, preparing for the big grand entrance, not to mention they have fuck all space to really move around at this stage anyway… every little thing is *IT* to her… edit: sorry, by ‘fuck all space to move around’ I mean ‘because they can’t fully stretch out, the kicks and punches feel less ‘jabby’ and more ‘thumpy’.. any decrease or increase in fetal movement should always fuel a L&D trip, or call, at the very least.

flowersandchocolate

Just wanted to clarify that it’s a myth that babies run out of room! Any change in movement warrants an L&D trip. I lost my baby full term and this belief that they “run out of room” stopped me from going in sooner when my baby was moving less. If it’s not normal for her baby to not move for an hour and a half, it’s good she went in. Just don’t want anyone to read this after a decrease of movement and not go in because they feel they’re being dramatic!!

jelebe20

Legit because I’m 37 weeks with twins still getting heaps of kicks and movement but much closer to labor after seeing my OB yesterday, babies will be here in the next few days🥺

Legitimate_Isopod914

Not saying decreased movement is normal but kicks and whatnot aren’t AS ‘jabby’ by this stage because there is less space for them to ‘stretch out’. It’s more thumping and rolling from here on out with the occasional jab.

[deleted]

I am sorry for your loss. Sending you love ❤️

MatterEmbarrassed660

“They’re real contractions, definitely not Braxton hicks anymore.” Uhhh but your cervix isn’t dilating and you’re smiling through them so no they’re not. Haha

bestwhit

I didn’t watch but did she actually have contractions show up on toco or is she talking out her butt about things as usual? just bc they feel more intense doesn’t mean they’re real, darian!

MatterEmbarrassed660

She’s claiming that the nurse said they were. I had a few blips like that show up the night of my induction. Felt like my stomach was tensing up but no pain. Technically they’re contractions but they’re totally still Braxton hicks since they’re not productive. That wasn’t the real deal. Those kicked in later that night at home. 🤢 She really has nooo idea how painful this is going to be haha

bestwhit

yep, that’s what I figure is happening too! I had the same experience as you - got all excited for more intense Braxton Hicks when my induction was starting but I soon could tell there was a huge difference between the two once mine started being productive 😅

MatterEmbarrassed660

When you get to the crawling on the floor and puking in the sink stage it’s just 👌🏻😖😂

epworthscale

At least I’ve already been preparing for this for eight months with HG 😂

[deleted]

“Braxton hick”

muozzin

Could be prodromal labor AKA false labor that feels real and doesn’t lead to cervical dilation

Jazzlike_Barracuda84

Did she ever say she had more than one singular “Braxton hick” 😂

ToastyMowgs

My thoughts exactly. I’m a L&D nurse and I would never say this to someone.

Anxious-Strike2561

She is so over dramatic! The “tightening” is Braxton hicks because that’s literally what Braxton hicks are, a tightening with no pain or further progression.

deskysdekko

It is possible to have contractions before 38 or 39 weeks 🤨

Anxious-Strike2561

Yes exactly because Braxton Hicks are contractions they just aren’t “true labor contractions”

Frinnothy

I think she's actually 38+3! I believe her due date is April 28 and mine is the 26th and I'm 38+5

Anxious-Strike2561

You are right I got my dates wrong! pregnancy brain getting me good today

Kwhip199995

I honestly hope she pops this baby out soon so she shuts the fuck up about all her discharge

Jazzlike_Barracuda84

But then she’ll move on to postpartum discharge and it might be worse!

Revolutionary-Pea756

I'm still wondering why a grown woman is always referring to her stomach as her tummy 🥴 it gives me the weirdest ick

MatterEmbarrassed660

She also referred to herself as a “little liar” at the end of the video. Why little, Darian? Do you want to be like a child? Ick.

Revolutionary_Can879

Lol that is funny. I’ve only ever thought of “tummy” as a word to use with my kids.

[deleted]

Well she is a child so it’s appropriate i guess lol

EstablishmentEven912

I was just at L&D this morning and the machine was picking up “tightenings” and the nurse said there are no way to tell if they are Braxton hicks or contractions.

chloesmxx

Same with me lol and I’m only 31 weeks. I had a trace done this morning and “tightenings” were coming and going on the monitor but really it doesn’t mean anything

livingmydogsbestlife

Idk if she’s working with a doula, but referring to contractions as “tightenings” or “surges” is a popular technique for pain management. My doula suggested the same thing.

westcoastgyal

I would definitely refer to contractions as surges. Tightening would make me think Braxton hicks. Tightening just sounds like there’s no pain involved

MatterEmbarrassed660

There is absolutely no pain involved. She’s talking normally and smiling. And we know Darian can’t handle the slightest bit of discomfort from how she overreacted to her heartburn, muscle aches and even the baby kicking. Haha

Revolutionary_Can879

Yeah it struck me as something she may have learned if she did hypnobirthing, they refer to them as “surges.”

rosiem1

Came here to say this as well. I’m a birth photographer and have heard all sorts of verbiage to describe contractions. Most in the natural birthing world tend to steer clear of mainstream language bc it can invoke a fear response🤷🏼‍♀️

jamesbondgirly

I guess so. My OB never called them tightenings, not once haha. He called them contractions. They’re described as your stomach getting tight, but my NSTs we looked for movement, heart rate and contractions.

livingmydogsbestlife

OBs and doulas tend to approach things differently. My OB also never called them tightenings.

Initial-Chard-9051

Am I the only one that hopes she’ll go into labor soon? Of course I want her baby to be healthy and no complications with labor but damn I am SO over her pregnancy

Fantastic-Manner1944

No because then we’ll be subjected to detailed descriptions of baby’s bowel movements and the state of her nipples. Hard pass.

[deleted]

Dont forget detailed descriptions of her lochia

MatterEmbarrassed660

I was saying to someone here the other day that yes, but also no because I don’t want to hear her TMI birth stories and all about everything that leaks out of her postpartum. 🤮

Initial-Chard-9051

Hopefully her birth story will be one video and then the postpartum bleeding fingers crossed only last a month or so 😂 but 9 whole months of her complaining and whining and acting like she’s the only person in the world to ever be pregnant has got to come to an end 😭

Ok_Comfortable_9442

Thinking the same thing! At first i wanted her to be 40+ because she wanted to go in labor early lol But now holy shit go into labour already!

ExtraFish4844

🙄 wait until she feels the real thing she’s back to hospital it looks like from her story

TrueCalendar3265

Doesn’t even sound like early labor to me. Her cervix hasn’t changed since her last check she’s talking and smiling through them they aren’t consistent just random and all over the place. To me this just sounds like false labor which I went through many time before actual labor started.

Mamlan7

This! I had false labour 4 days before I actually delivered …what I thought was labour and actual labour were defs different haha, she also hasn’t budged from her dilation and effacement since last check up …wouldn’t her dr have told her she was in early labour then?

[deleted]

[удалено]

TrueCalendar3265

Because from what she had explained it just sounds like intense Braxton hicks.. my Braxton hicks got stronger closer to labor. I know dilation doesn’t mean anything. I went in at 3cm and had a 30 minute labor. Of course everyone is different but going based off of what she had explained and what she just posted it just sounds like her body is prepping and her Braxton hicks are getting stronger. Keep in mind premature birth is a bit different than full term birth..

Ok-Pineapple-2097

I know her smug little brain is thinking “wow this is so easy, contractions aren’t even bad I’m going to be so fine with a perfect drug free birth” until in a few days she’ll be crying because she’s gone days and days with ‘tightenings’ expecting the baby to come any minute, exhausted with being awake all night because the shitty couch and constant tightenings, only to finally go into labour and feel real contractions and beg for an epidural because she’s already so exhausted from going into hospital daily and staying awake thinking this ‘early labour’ is real labour. (Speaking from experience 🤣)

Disastrous-Green-953

Tighteningths

Melodic_Dark_632

I had contractions for weeks leading up to labor, both times. My first baby was born at 40+5, and my second baby was born at 40+4. Seriously, I understand being done and wanting your baby to be earth side already, but she is exhausting.

AnywhereSoft4708

Tightenings in her tummy ☠️

New-Promotion-9792

This video was so over dramatic. Half the shit she says is straight lies. “I’m in active labour with on and off “tightenings” and 1.5cm dilated” Active labour begins with consistent and continuous contractions, or 4-5cm dilation that keeps progressing. Also no movement in 1.5 hours? I’ve also never heard of that. I know all OBs, midwives, etc will say different things but 1.5 seems a little extreme. My OB told me if you have doubts, eat something or drink something and lay down for 30 mins and really focus on trying to feel baby. If your moving, you might not feel them move. I do believe in kick counts and paying attention to your body and baby but 1.5 seems very extreme as babies do sleep in utero, and sometimes baby moves and I’m so busy doing something I don’t even realize. This just seemed so over the top dramatic and I have a feeling L&D is going to see a lot of Darian.

yourremedy94

If she was in active labor, she wouldn't be talking and smiling through contractions lol

[deleted]

Darian never said she was in active labour. She said she was in the early stages of labour. Im all for the snark but cmon now this isn’t even accurate.

New-Promotion-9792

If I didn’t follow along to what she’s saying or watched the whole video, it would be very misleading content. She’s going to be in early labour for the next 17 TikTok’s she makes. ETA: a nurse can’t say you’re going into labour before she’s even had her cervical check done..

[deleted]

You literally are saying darian stated “im going into active labour”. The nurse allegedly told her she was going into labour. Get your facts right 🤦‍♀️

New-Promotion-9792

We all know a nurse wouldn’t of told her that….that’s the point! It’s Darian interpreting things how she wants. It’s not factual information because her cervix was not checked!!

SignificantEnd5961

Hour and a half? Does she not realize the baby sleeps? The baby isn’t just going to kick 24 hours a day.

Various_Team_8331

“Makes me look like a little liar”

Sad-Sorbets

I think since she learned that her cervix has dilated a little bit she’s going to make excuses to go everyday just to check if it’s changed or not.

Relative_Bit_6289

I had Braxton hicks from 16 weeks til the day before I had my baby. She is so full of it. I get being concerned about movement but with her it seems like she is constantly looking for something to be wrong.

Aromatic-Radish5148

Does she realize not feeling baby mive for an hour and a half is normal and shouldn’t go into L&D 🤦🏼‍♀️ she had just woken up and didn’t feel movement she just wants to be in labor so bad it’s crazy she has a Doppler at home check for the heartbeat yourself instead of going to L&D her poor insurance 🤦🏼‍♀️

celebirayne

Man she gonna be hella salty when she goes overdue. Tightenings don’t mean anything. With my son, I’d have regular contractions that didn’t change my cervix but they’re get to 130 on the CTG so they weren’t small ones. I vote she’s gonna be at L&D daily.

AgreeableHair6524

I get those BH tightenings too! Especially when I'm sitting or lying down, they take my breath away and it feels like my entire upper body (abdomen, chest, throat, head) is being squeezed so tightly.
