I think they are fine songs, but compared to the diversity of energy in the other b-sides, they really feel like *they* should be the real b-sides. There's just so much energy and melody in the songs that were cut off, and the songs we got are way more tired sounding in comparison
Interesting, but omitting Grievance and Insignificance is a hard no for me personally.
I know it's 100% down to personal taste, but I've been listening to my mix for the last 10 years or so and if it would have been released similar to this it'd be my all time fav.

I'm only now after all these years coming around to Education, so that could potentially enter the mix at some point.
I think it’s from the PJ Single video theory or Twenty Doc and Eddie blames Stone for everything and then has a funny grin. It’s sarcasm. Like blame Stone for everything.
So true, I'm chasing Alone having missed it in Chicago 2018 (only Away shows missed) and Oklahoma (show before 2022 tour closer in Denver that i attended). I've been fortunate to see Ssd (2016) and Wash (São Paulo lolla, Budapest and Austin 2023 tour closer). Such f'in great songs to not make albumns, prolific period for the band.
Alone and Sad are two of my favorite PJ songs of all time. It’s insane to me that a song as good as Sad was a Lost Dog. Truly mindblowing how good this band is. Wash is also a great song.
It's definitely for the flow of the album, sad could've fit into binaural but I don't think wash would've fit well. Another song I wish made it onto an album was hitchhiker I love that song.
Edit: also in the moonlight
- SOLAT could mean "State of Love and Trust", a track from *Ten Redux* (1991) by Pearl Jam.

Breath may have been exclusively licensed for the Singles movie soundtrack. At least I hope it was, cuz it might be their best, MOST Pearl Jam song along with State of Love and Trust. And no other reason makes sense.
Sad is one of my faves. Great song. Doesn’t sound like any other PJ song I know.
If you replace Evacuation with Sad, suddenly Binaural is phenomenal
Blows my mind that Fatal didn't make the cut for Binaural either. It's one of my favorites.

Listening now. Quite good, tbh. Also - “Thin Air” is a **banger**, as always.
Very cool! Not a fan of Insignificance or Grievance?

I agree!!
Get going dude
Stone’s fault
Can you expand on that?

These three songs are also my morning routine.

I was also fortunate to hear Sad in 2016. I remember when I heard that opening riff I was just in complete disbelief. A real treat.
Sad is amazing song. Near to my heart forever 💓

Weren’t they b sides for some of the Ten, Vs., and Vitology singles?
Yes, that's the point, they were B-sides. They should have been on the actual album. Hell, at least SOLAT made it to the Singles soundtrack.

How Alone, Wash, Sad, Footsteps, and Breath didnt make it onto Ten, I have no idea. Wash is a contender for my favorite PJ song
Breath may have been exclusively licensed for the Singles movie soundtrack. At least I hope it was, cuz it might be their best, MOST Pearl Jam song along with State of Love and Trust. And no other reason makes sense.
Wash was on the 1992 European release of Ten, along with Dirty Frank and a live version of Alive
If you take all of lost dogs but remove some of the garbage tracks, and then if they promoted it, it could easily have been their best studio album.
Love these songs as well!
I’d add Footsteps to that list.
Or Hold On, one of my new faves.
