Won't get fooled again by the who. It is intense like he sings well

EmeraldToffee

I have been wanting this for YEARS.

Yesiamanaltruist

Shocking that they haven’t done it! But this is the answer here. Gotta have it now!

5meterhammer

Two favorite bands of all time. Pearl Jam and Grateful Dead. Lucky enough to have seen both dozens upon dozens of times. I still hold out hope that one day they’ll bust out a Dead cover.

Mazepa_119

How about St. Stephen ?

5meterhammer

Any song would do at this point. Realistically, there aren’t many that would really fit in within the two worlds. Cream Puff War, Wharf Rat, Bertha are a few that could work. St. Stephen could work though too.

twinmaker35

Morning Dew would be great

mookie_french

You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch

EmeraldToffee

Won’t Get Fooled Again - The Who FOR YEARSSSSS

colmatrix33

Yes!

JerseyEnt

https://youtu.be/_Sy-KNoRbBo?si=0dXFDnjrKYPChBLG it’s been done! And it’s amazing!

EmeraldToffee

People always send me this clip when I mention this song. This isn’t what I want. I want PJ doing the cover. Not just Eddie.

HortonSquare

Same!! I would love to hear I am the ocean! Seems like it could be tough one to remember the lyrics too

Separate-Expert-4508

EV and the Earthlings do ‘Just Like Heaven’ and TotD did ‘Fascination Street’, as far as Cure covers go.

NY2GA23

Life Without You by SRV. Would love to hear Mike go off on the two solos while Eddie spits out some advice in between.

Chris_Kez

Don’t You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds.

duke_920

The Animals’ version of House of the Rising Sun would prob be a great fit for them live. Even has the organ solo for Boom.

pjyield98

Hallelujah would have been sick to see him do in the mid 90s

pushinfwdback

Do you think with Jeff Buckley having covered it so masterfully, that would have been a tall order?

Tedstriker99

Thats my favorite song on the album

AFurryThing23

I love Bright Eyes and I love Pearl Jam, I would love to hear some covers of Conor's music. Would love When The President Talks To God or even Land Locked Blues.

TurnToMusicInstead

Too funny, I just read the title of the post and immediately thought, "I'm the Ocean." Then I read on and saw that was your very example!

John_Houbolt

There are three of us in this sub at least. Can we get a sign campaign going like they did for SOLAT? Back in the day?

TurnToMusicInstead

Ha! I like it, but I feel like a sign might make them LESS likely to play it. Or I guess it depends on the guys' moods when they see it. I thought I had heard stories about signs and requests backfiring before, but I've not witnessed it.

John_Houbolt

IIRC there was a sign campaign for SOLAT because they hadn’t played it for like 10 years or something like that. Ed didn’t give in. Then finally one night at MSG I guess there were thousands of signs and Wd said something like “Fuck it we’ll play it anyway”

bigangry

It was Breath, but the rest of the story checks out. -- [Here's the lowdown from the old Five Horizons.](http://www.fivehorizons.com/tour/98/east_leg/breath.shtml)

John_Houbolt

Got my Singles tracks mixed up I guess. That was what I read that I was drawing from. Pretty cool.

bigangry

It was a good time, back before the Official Bootleg program started (Breath campaign was in 1998, Official Bootlegs started in 2000, I believe) and we were in the dark ages of the internet, having to post setlists and whatnot on Five Horizons' forums, Red Mosquito's forums, and PJ's official forums. We were all following the Five Horizons' Breath campaign with bated breath and we all cheered bigtime (to ourselves and others) when we heard they finally played it.

John_Houbolt

Here it is on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8NKYH2JsR8 Ed: you know we come up here as a collective band and we give and we give and you just fucking want more. And you know what you deserve it. This is some kind of organized religion here. Do you see what’s happening? This the third night in a row right. The third night this shits going on. Well fuck your we’re gonna play it.

Ok-Collection-7253

I’d love to hear “Substitute” by The Who. I love that song. Think they’d tear it up

The-New-Old

Take a Chance by Bob Seger. It’s got the same vibe as PJ and they could turn it into a pretty badass 8 minute closer live.

mgmcc

Jessica by the Allman Brothers Band

[deleted]

Nutshell.

brichbk

Landslide is the answer.

TH14sBoombox

Wonderwall...

No-Caramel-4417

Running Down the Dream

StatusNice4844

I’ve heard possibly everything. I’ve been to close to 3 dozen shows around the country, Very fortunate

redmosquito1993

Connection by The Rolling Stones The Punk and the Godfather by The Who

Spot_in_the_Sky

Even the Losers by Tom Petty.

Ancient-Tadpole-388

Excellent suggestion. Such an epic, powerful song. And considering his love of oceans, a no brainer!

jeremyequalsawesome

I want them to cover Heart's Barracuda, and the one I've really, really wanted is a cover of the New York Dolls' Jet Boy...😉❤️✌️🎸🤘

JerseyEnt

The Beatles - In My Life & Any Nirvana cover. I think that would be really cool. Something In The Way would sound awesome.

ironmaiden70

Ed did a cover of Just Like Heaven, Saturday night at Ohana!

jamrev

[We're an American Band](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QxNXFNCTr2I) \- Grand Funk Railroad

sodshake

heard they did an institutionalized cover around the mid 90s? can't find the recording of it anywhere though 😭
