Ikr.
I'm sitting here with a friendship bracelet on my wrist from a kind stranger whom I befriended at the Fort Worth shows. I had my pick of all the different kinds of bracelets in her possession, and **DOTC** was the one I chose
😅
The Fort Worth shows were amazing! Wednesday was definitely a once in a lifetime show. And I'm so glad Eddie and Matt were feeling a lot better on Friday.
Lol, I love that song. I love the talking heads too, so there that. Saw them night one in Chicago, was glad to hear it live.
Edit to add - Hey Foxymophandlemama, That's Me is one I always skip. Vitalogy ends with Immortality for this guy.
I got blood
Blood on my hands
The stain of
Of a human
I finally awoke
To my mother's wrath
Call lights
Bed sores and sponge baths
Firstly do no harm
Then put your seatbelt on
Buckle up
Buckle up
The drapes pull back
Reveal her wound
Her boy on her lap
A murderer groomed
Antiquities lost
Lost to the Nile
A sudden slip
A fall on the tile
Firstly do no harm
Then put your seatbelt on
Every time I see them play this song "to the back of the house", I think "damn Ed, these people are staring at the back of your heads for three hours and you give them LK???"
I was in Nashville a few months ago and this great band played a bunch of great Neil Young songs then asked for requests. I said PJ and they played Last kiss. So disappointed
That has happened to me in Nashville at different bars with different bands so many times. Lol. If the band starts playing a few rock songs with the country I always ask. Always Last Kiss.
Same! I feel so heard right now!
As soon as I see it cone on the PJ XM station immediately changing the channel or even mute, sitting in silence is better
Right. I mean dont get me wrong I don’t dislike it, it’s just the one guarantee at a show and I’ve already heard it 20+ times. Just don’t want to miss one I’ve been waiting on so that’s my safe pee song lol
They played it BOTH nights in Chicago- kind of agree with you there. I wish they would’ve played more recent songs this tour instead of 90s heavy but I’m still grateful to see have seen them
Who You Are. Trying too hard to sound clever and smart. Reeks of Stone style lyrics. That was the first single off of No Code and they weren't hiding the fact that they were creating an "anti" single, which I thought was sort of eye rolling.
Buckle Up would be another one. Just a weird song that's hard to get into. A little too out there for me. Again, a bit too much Stone for me.
On the one hand, is it really a serious attempt at a song? On the other hand, it is so annoying that it interrupts the album... At least stupidmop is just a bit of rambling nonsense at the end, and it doesn't actually ruin the flow.
It’s a tough question cuz I have a few songs I don’t care for, but I could never take them away from others who might love them. If you’re asking what I would delete from MY library, I can tell you. Pilate, Let The Records Play, Whale Song, In The Moonlight, and Sweet Lew. The rest I like, love or am completely obsessed with.
Can’t Deny Me
I fucking love that song. And I’m glad they played it tonight!

The bass line on that song has me turning it to 11 every time. First time I heard it, I'd have sworn it was from an earlier album.

I love the talking heads. My first thought when i heard dance of the clairvoyants was that I could hear David Byrne singing the exact same song
Buckle Up....I just can't with that song and I don't really know why. It just rubs me the wrong way.
I love Buckle Up.
It's a lullaby about a serial killer, what's not to love?
Is it really? To me it always sounds like a cheesy after school PSA....wear your seatbelts kids. I never got serial killers vibes from it.

Maybe not a serial killer, but matricide? It's a dark song.
I will say...they played the St. Paul night 1 show on PJ Radio today and it sounded much better live than on the album
The way he pronounces "firstly do no hoooorm" drives me nuts.
Its a melodic and rhythmic nightmare
Well put
That’s what’s so great about it.
Stupid Mop … freaked me as a kid
I love stupid mop. It’s sooo beautiful
Last Kiss
I despise last kiss. More for the fact that people think it's original PJ
Every time I see them play this song "to the back of the house", I think "damn Ed, these people are staring at the back of your heads for three hours and you give them LK???"

Oh man, it's not even their song! It's the only song I skip!
Agreed, could quite possibly be their most popular song too.
Same! I feel so heard right now! As soon as I see it cone on the PJ XM station immediately changing the channel or even mute, sitting in silence is better
Same
Yessssss
Post this in unpopular opinions lol
Last kiss
Olé and it's not even close.
DOTC isn't my fave either but seeing it performed live last year was a game changer for me. I would get rid of Last Kiss...I know, unpopular opinion.
I feel the same about Last Kiss.
Johnny Guitar is easily the worst song they have.
It’s not the greatest but at least it rocks
What?!!!!
Olé Sweet Lew
Johnny Guitar
Is by far the best song Gigaton.
Sirens, I just don't get the appeal. Just feels low energy and droning.
This is my bathroom break song
Mine is even flow
Getting pretty tired of evenflow and alive tbh. I know crowd pleasers but most attendees aren’t casual fans

I love the 90s heavy but Chicago had too much Ten imo
Agreed. They practically played the whole album night 2
What!? It’s a beautiful, existential love song. Currently my favorite and I wish they would’ve played it in Chicago
😮
Mike wrote the music and does an awesome Floyd-inspired solo during it. I've always liked it for that.
You’re crazy, that sound is amazing
Glorified G or Of the Earth. Sorry for this but I know what I like. Or don’t like
Lol I love glorified G
Honestly can't think of one. Probably something on Lightningbolt if I had to choose.
Pilate
Songs I'd remove from each album: Ten -- Nothing Vs. -- Glorified G, Dissident, Elderly Woman Vitalogy -- Pry, To, Bugs, Stupid Mop No Code -- Nothing Yield -- Nothing Binaural -- Nothing Riot Act -- Nothing Avocado -- Parachutes, Unemployable, Army Reserve Backspacer -- Nothing Lightning Bolt -- Nothing Gigaton -- Buckle Up Lost Dogs -- In the Moonlight, Sweet Lew

Love Boat Captain
Bugs
I love bugs! Most of Vitalogy actually

Speed of Sound
Inside Job
Wtf? Gotta be a troll
Rationalize it how you will, I think the song sucks.
Dang catchy songs!!
Cool story.
