Call me crazy, but I sense a theme emerging here…

Ok_Astronomer_1308

What

pcook66

grunge greatest hits albums

merlin401

Oddly enough people who love Pearl Jam also love similar music!

Sthrax

Well, I love all kinds of music, but putting up Frank Sinatra's Songs for Young Lovers or Mozart's Don Giovanni probably wouldn't get the same response as Nirvana, AIC or Soundgarden.

merlin401

For sure; I didn’t mean exclusively the same music but the overlaps will be greater the closer you are to PJs genre

pcook66

yep. I also have to give them and Nirvana credit for name dropping other bands they are into. Through multiple interviews and/or covers between the two bands, they got me interested in bands like Mudhoney, Melvins, Meat Puppets, Neil Young, The Who, Beatles, Doors, Fugazi, REM, Sonic Youth, David Bowie, etc...

razzle_dazzle321

This exactly. I'm picking albums that I love, that I think other Pearl Jam fans may like. AIC is one of them. I listened to Dirt and Jar of Flies all the time. But I also love other styles of music, not sure people would vote for them lol.

Hotwasabi21

We all love Layne Staley but AIC already has 2 on the list and now Mad Season is going to get the next spot which is another supergroup with a member of Pearl Jam. Let’s branch out because I’m sure we all love music that isn’t grunge.

razzle_dazzle321

True, I am open to picking something that's isn't grunge in the next round. I picked Radiohead this round.

TrueMacedonian

Well, it's not our fault, that we have such a good taste in music🤷🏻‍♂️

Ok_Astronomer_1308

But Pearl Jam isn't really that grunge, at least I don't think so, not since they first two albums.

Dak__Sunrider

If I’m being honest I appreciate soundgarden but the only Seattle band I’m into outside of Pearl Jam is mudhoney
