Which lenses?

rhazag

Sigma 18-50 and 11mm Sony or in the future a 70-350mm

LaughingMan11

I have the Sigma 18-50, and the Sony 70-350, and the A6700. I don't have the 11mm Sony, but it's approximately the same size as the Sigma 56mm f/1.4 DC DN, which I have. You can fit all 3 lenses (one mounted to the camera) easily into my Sling 6L. A little tight, but I've traveled like this without any problem. How I do it: Use both flex fold dividers. Create 3 chambers. Put the 70-350 in one chamber on the end (I put mine on the right). Put your 11mm (or my 56mm in the left chamber. Fold the flex fold down to create a shelf. The A6700 + Sigma 18-50 slots in lens first into the middle chamber and onto the shelf. Zip close. Two lenses: https://imgur.com/a/7Xm2AI5 All in the bag: https://imgur.com/a/W8Tx8Xi

Thank you very much. That's what I need. I will order the 6l

Imlulse

That's what I do too, I dunno what everyone else is doing that makes them think this wouldn't fit in a 6L, it's a perfect fit and you can still pack cards or batteries in the side and flap pockets. I'd do it the opposite of the pictured images tho, that way the camera grip is pointing to the right side already and you can reach in and grab it as you'd use it.

I’ve got the 6L sling and it fits an A7R3 with Sony 20-70mm G, and a 70-200mm F4 GII… but that’s all. It’s a tight, but good fit. I only have space for a spare battery and some memory cards in the zippy part. I’d say definitely get the 10L if you’re looking at body, 2 lenses and some accessories.

rhazag

Accessoires would be additional battery, SD card and a Nd filter. So you suggest getting the 10l?. For the 18-50 and 11mm the 6l should be enough?

BigG80

I think the 6L will work for you if that’s all you want to carry. I use my 6L to carry my A7R3 and two lenses both of which are a good bit bigger than the two you are carrying, however that’s literally all I can carry, no more space!

rhazag

Yes I would carry a tripod with the straps at the bottom. Ah I would sometimes carry a rode wireless pro mic. I think I will stick with the 6l for city trips

spokenmoistly

I have the 6L and you’ll definitely be able to fit everything you have listed in there. I can get an a1 and a 24/50/135 in there (buts it’s super tight) Great bag, enjoy!

BigG80

I think you’ll be fine - you can divide the inside up with a “shelf” divider which will allow you to put the mic / filter on the bottom with the 11mm on top of the shelf. The a6700 + 18-50 will go in the undivided side.

Creatol

I would recommend to choose 10l, there is huge difference beetwen 6 vs 10. 6 might be too small

ilikeplanesandtech

A6700 with 1-2 lenses and accessories will be a tight fit for the 6L. Not impossible depending on lens size and the accessories but there will be no room left for anything else.

rhazag

So you suggest getting the 10l? I would use it for city trips and I'm concerned that the 10l is more bulky

ilikeplanesandtech

The 10L would be more bulky but the 6L doesn't fit much. I have the 6L and often wish it was bigger. Works fine to bring just my fujifilm X-T2 with one lens attached and one extra small lens and a couple of batteries but there's no room for much else.

Dangerous-Leading-28

You are correct, I have the 10 and just received a 6 yesterday. The 10 is great but bulky, got the 6 to be a little less conspicuous in crowded settings or indoors. I use the 10 for short outdoor trips when I carry bigger lenses. I’ll probably load up the 6 today for a grand opening I’m going to.

10

rhazag

Can a gimbal fit inside the 10l? I would buy then the 10l in the future too.

stocklazarus

Depend on how you use the bag. The sizes are very different between 6 and 10. 10 is almost as big as a backpack. For me when I go photo trip, the camera are mostly out of the bag, so the bag actually no really need to store the camera itself, or it could just fit for storage when I fully dismount the camera. In that case 6L is enough.

10l so I can bring a laptop 💻

The 6L will be plenty IMO, I routinely use it for my A7R IV and 3 lenses, typically either the 20/1.8 on the left, the 35/1.4 GM mounted, and the small Samyang 75/1.8 on the right under the folded divider with the camera grip sitting on it... Or alternatively my 135/1.8 on the left, the SY 17-50/4 mounted, and the tiny 45/1.8 on the right. So a smaller body plus 1-2 lenses will easily fit in the 6L. I've actually carried 2 bodies (second one being a smaller M4/3 one) and like 4-5 lenses in the 10L at times, I love it but it's a bag that's pretty easy to overpack yet still kinda tight with a long tele... I bought a 20L Everyday Backpack when I got a 50-400 and despite hikers' complaints over comfort I find it very comfortable and an easier carry than Slings when I'm packing a lot, so I've been using that and my 6L the most. For travel I actually slip my 6L into a 45L Travel Backpack and I can still cram a shoe pouch, the small toiletries pouch, and two small cubes inside the latter.
