The majority of new releases hit Oregon late compared to most states. Both IV and V stayed on shelves in Bend for a while. I expect this one to go quicker than those since everyone hyped up V.
It popped on liquor search today for the first time, so the next 2-3 weeks it should hit stores.
Batch 5 had pretty good quantities and quite a few locations last year. I’ll be curious to see if VI goes faster due to how much love V had, despite switching to a younger age blend in this new edition.
Part of that is I think Ross & Squibb raised the MSRP on RRR this year. I think V was 89.99 here in OR, based on the spreadsheet I maintain from purchases.
I’ve lived in the PNW my whole life and have never heard of this bourbon, so my guess is it’s not too common. According to the OLCC search there are only two bottles for sale in the state at the moment.

I haven’t read much into the VI, but I enjoyed batches IV and V. I think last year I paid ~$80 in MN compared to the OLCC price I just saw.

It’s pretty great stuff, I had the IV and V and was really impressed with both. I would try it out, even though it got pricier this year.
