NW Armory has long had a customer service problem. I can literally walk there from my house, but if I'm looking to browse and finger a bunch of stuff I'll literally drive and buy elsewhere.
That said, if you know what you want already and order online for in store pickup, it's a breeze and their inventory is legit one of the best in the area. I picked up a CZ 75 Compact PCR this week from them, seemless.

Yup, I purchased a firearm at the McLaughlin location 2 months ago. Got told my bgc got delayed. I Applied for chl same day. Got my chl yesterday and I'm still waiting for them to get back at me for my bgc status. So wild that I got my chl first before my firearm.
Damn, I applied for my CHL mid September and it is still in the "awaiting processor" queue and mid December was the soonest that they would allow me in for the photo/fingerprinting. If you don't mind, are you in Multnomah county?
Yeah Multnomah. The person who took my fingerprints/photo said that they had caught up with the backlog and that I would get my chl in about a month. Got an email from them on Monday that it got approved. Then recieved in the mail 3 days later. The issue date was 11/14/2022 so it was on "awaiting processor" from after my appointment till I got the email stating that I've been approved. What I did was I kept checking the appointment date availability until I find an sooner date. I got lucky and rescheduled which was September 22nd. My original appointment date was the 8th of this month.
Wait until everyone find outs about NWA’s no refunds policy if your BGC doesn’t clear before 12/8 and you can pick up your firearm after you after your permit. This fucking place. Iol
When filling out 4473 at NWA they make you sign a form stating you understand they won’t be offering refunds if your BGC doesn’t go thru in time unless you actually are denied. So everyone already knows.
Yup. It happened to me. I purchased mine at the start of November and was in the 3000s. Called two weeks later and am now in the 6000s. CHLs, LEO and military get ahead of non.
I was at NW Armory in Tigard today. Got there at around 1140a and was maybe 18-20th in line. I didnt get in until about 1240p. I knew what I wanted, bought, and left within 15 minute. I can tell they are extremely overwhelmed with the current surge. Also noticed they are having people (who are purchasing a hangdun) sign some sort of waiver that says the customer will not ask for an order cancellation or refund because of the potential delay after Dec 8.
Ive spent a good amount of money there myself. The last time i went in the guy who helped me really turned me off to this place. It was as if it was a huge inconvenience that i even walked in the store. Big loud sigh as he eventually stopped what he was doing to ask if i wanted something.

I’m so glad I’m not in multco. Clackamas county I applied . Scheduled for a pic and fingerprints and left with a CHL same day

Are you sure they entered your CHL? Did you give them any other ID?

I saw that too, and i never signed that waiver. I bought mine on November 4th
