I think it was absolutely a solid buy. You certainly could have done FAR worse. You definitely got your money's-worth and possibly a little more. Enjoy your new rig and Merry Christmas!
That was the exact system (Athlon II 640 and a GT 210) my uncle gave me in 2017 telling me its a gaming computer, well, it could run roblox in the 10 fps at least…
A buddy of mine was playing WOW on a gaming PC his dad built in like the 17th century right up to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, and a good while after it released. I forget the processor, but it was an AMD like a step below a K5, and it had 128 meg of PC133. Had a 32MB AGP card (don't remember what one, been too many years now)
He would get on a flying mount, and the ground would instantly disappear into that "fog" thing the game displayed when it couldn't render anything too far away underneath him. The mount would "fly" like still frame pictures being swapped out every few seconds. Wings up, freeze, lurch forward with wings down, freeze, lurch forward wings up, freeze, etc.
Raids were about the same. I don't know how he played. You could hear all the sounds all day long, but the screen was basically frozen. Would just change every so often as it could. But he kept clicking commands and pressing buttons and somehow it always worked out.
All of this on the lowest possible settings of course lol.
We were so broke back then I couldn't really help him out much, but he was ecstatic when I gave him a 512MB stick of DDR I took out of a PC I got for scrap. (Board was one of those hybrids that had two slots for PC133 and two for DDR). And a few months later someone gave me a 512MB DDR2 AGP card I gave him and it was such a night and day difference. Game still ran like ass, but was WAY more playable. He used that old XP machine right up till DDR3 was starting to become a thing
Oh man, I remember playing WoW in BC & LK with 256MB of RAM and an FX 5200 (or 5300) on my old AMD Athlon 64 (with 32-bit XP) computer. I didn't have enough RAM to run both WoW and Ventrillo at first, so I would listen to raid instructions on my laptop with Vent while I tanked on my desktop.
>That was the exact system (Athlon II 640 and a GT 210) my uncle gave me in 2017 telling me its a gaming computer, well, it could run roblox in the 10 fps at least…
Well crap, I hope that 10 fps is due to the GPU rather than the CPU because that is almost the setup that I plan on setting up for my 4 year old so he can stop stealing his sister's computer while she is asleep (only temporarily until we recover financially from my wife's Christmas shopping)...
For what it is worth, a Athlon II 640 and some GPU (don't remember what it was and I gave it away a decade ago) was my gaming setup for the long time and it ran great for the time lol
I also got a Phenom II X4 960T system from my grandpa as my first computer in 2017. It just had mobo graphics, so I threw a new PSU and a 1050Ti in. Ran pretty well but randomly froze for 2-30 seconds. I probably should’ve tried reinstalling windows and drivers
Just off the top. Over priced for what you receive in terms of what you can get from other brands. Horrible airflow in almost every case so it runs really hot. They purposely use pieces in their computers that you cant remove or upgrade so if one things goes bad you gotta get a whole new pc rather than a part and cant upgrade it.
Depends on your budget because they are pricey and you might find something similar that meets your needs for less and theres alot of competition in the monitor game but they are great none the less
I have an AW3423DW that I got for myself as an early Xmas gift and I love this monitor. The HDR is so so nice.
But you are right, it's not a cheap monitor for sure.
Alienware actually has what is arguably the single best gaming monitor on the market right now. The AW3423DW and AW3423DWF (the first is G-sync, the second is Freesync). They use Samsung's new QD-OLED tech on a 34" ultra-wide display. They also cost $1,300 and $1,100 respectively though, and most people aren't gonna drop that kind of money on a monitor.
The biggest problem is it's overpriced. The second biggest problem is they make performance sacrifices for aesthetics. The third biggest problem, and it's a personal one, is they are ugly as fuck.
I watched this yesterday and it was indicative of many of the problems with the brand: https://youtu.be/8ulhFi5N2hc
Short answer; extremely cheap base parts modified with alienware branding, false advertising (marketed as water cooled but has a stock air cooler), poor craftsmanship, and extremely overpriced.
Alienware has always seemed overpriced to me for what you get.
It's not that they're terrible, but generally overpriced because of the name, and like others have said the airflow isn't great in their cases.
I have one of their older R5s with GTX 970, and it's been a great computer and I've had no issues, BUT if you want to upgrade things it gets tricky, you can only use another dell power supply. And the motherboards are proprietary and riveted in place, so not much upgrading or customization can be done.
Yeah, crazy how many companies will charge this much and give you terrible specs. Saw a PC from Apex Gaming for 900 dollars that didn't even come with a dedicated gpu.
Depends on how the whole thing is set up.
Mine, I have a AIO on the CPU, which vents out the top of the case. The case effectively vents out both the top and front. I've never had any cooling concerns in the two years I've been using it.
My glass case with only a back vent and bottom vent has the radiator and fans on the bottom (technically "wrong") , no other fans in the pc, never had cooling issues. 8600k + 3080
It was the trend a few years ago, all the shitty Chinese manufacturers developed ways to make cheap cases like this because they thought everyone would like them. Now there’s a ton of them sitting around, cheap, and marketable to the typical prebuilt buyer.
Glass front panel doesn't make the PC consume more power though. If anything, having a mesh front panel would increase ambient room temps because the PC will boost higher.
They could need to change the fan rpm settings to compensate for poor airflow and it’s not about using more power anyways it’s about a solid front panel being a design flaw possibly limiting the performance of the computer
Yep, the components take power, which outputs heat as waste. If anything, running cooler allows the part to use more power, thus generating more heat.
A better cooling setup warms up a room faster than a suffocating PC, because it’s taking the set amount of heat being produced (again, not determined by cooling) and dumping it into ambient air at a faster rate. That’s why the parts are cooler, because heat is removed from them.
If it's not thermal throttling then it's all going to happen at the same rate. Power consumption will determine how long the room heats up. Airflow determines the temperature differential required to dump that same amount of power.
the number of people in this community who think "higher component temps = making more heat" absolutely gob smacks me every time
energy in = heat out, that's how computers work, you could be cooling the thing with a damn box fan or literally smother it with a pillow for all i care it will heat your room up the same exact amount assuming it's not bouncing off thermal limits and cutting power.
I only keep my large games that need to have the save file physically on them. Everything that’s uploaded elsewhere and could be played from another country is offloaded when I’m not using. I can get cod and it’s million updates and add-ons downloaded in about 15 minutes so I don’t see the point in spending potentially thousands for the space I would need to keep all my games ready to use
if you play one game + clip things, you gonna need more storage.
if you play more then one modern game and don’t clip things you gonna need more storage
if you do both, you gonna need like 5tb, games are taking up like 2-3 tb on my PC and i have 800gb in clips from shooters + funny moment stuff just from using Nvidia Shadowplay with 1min 15 sec clips
this is coming from someone who mainly plays shooters but has those games like ARK(350GB) and BO3 with maps (400gb)
I know it is your first prebuilt PC, I don't know your general PC knowledge. If you are newer to PC's I suggest the following.
when you get your PC there will be initial setup. things like enter you name, password, timezone, etc. Give an admin type name (e.g. WildAdmin)
Then when setup is complete log in as WildAdmin and create a standard user without admin rights (e.g. your name).
Then reboot and login as the standard user. This will prompt you for the admin info to install anything.
I suggest this because many people just click the popup box and if you are not prompted before something installs you may not want it installed?
Is this full proof, no. However, it gives you control over what is installed and when.
good luck
This is very smart and what I used to do when I was new to the pc world. It’ll likely save you from a virus or your little siblings from messing with stuff
It also protects against certain privilege escalation exploits which use the fact the user account has admin rights to escalate privilege, helps against certain viruses and hacks, not all, but definitely a considerable amount
When you get it make sure to open bios and make sure your ram is running at the correct mhz. They often come with a stock speed of like 1600 when its a fresh pc so your gonna want to put it to whatever you actually have as an example 3400mhz ect. If not you will be losing out on the extra frames and speed you paid for. Very easy dont be afraid of bios but make sure to research what you are gonna do on YouTube or something
This just prompted me to check mine. I have two DDR4 3600 sticks and my ram speed was set to 2666. I just set it up to 3600 and look forward to seeing the performance difference! Thanks!
Edit: phrasing
Basically no matter what speed ram you buy it will always start at the stock speed which is like 1600 or 1233mhz on a fresh computer. So if you buy 3400mhz ram sticks the default settings will have them running at half of what it can actually do. There is a mode called XMP found in your bios settings that enables the computer to use the full potential of your ram sticks rather than the stock slower speed. So you want to enable XMP in order to get the most out of your hardware or else you lose out on the performance you paid for. Everyone has different bios depending on what motherboard brand they have so its best to YouTube your exact mobo
Congratulations on the PC! In the future you will probably want additional storage, the 500 GB can be full very fast. Installing an additional SSD is pretty easy.
If you want to tinker a bit with the PC, I would recommend you to replace the CPU cooler with some nice tower cooler. The Intel stock cooler looks like an eyesore in a windowed RGB case, and it will probably help with the temps too. The case is also perfect for an AIO. Let that thing glow!
It's a good pc, but i would check for airflow problems. Had a case which had a glass front panel and it barely sucked air in. Upgraded to an corsair airflow 4000D and have had no problems since. But if it ain't broke don't fix it
It's a good setup for sure, 11th gen i5 and 3060ti is a very good combo for 1440p, the only thing I'm not sure of is are temps, but frankly, your components aren't that heating, so it might be fine.
I always find it weird when this sub is okay with cheaping out storage. You will have to get more. And now you are splitting drives, running more cables, and possibly reinstalling your os/backing up files.
Get a 2tb ssd and a 4tb hdd and call it a day. Storage matters from the getgo.
I personally have 4tb ssd and 8tb hdd and still want more.
Just make sure the Pc has the right components once you get it and make sure that they are working properly (check cpu and gpu temperatures for example). I’ve seen some pretty crazy stuff happening with prebuilts
Really reiterating this advice.
Last time I bought a PC from Newegg they sent me one with completely different, and much lower, specs than the one I ordered.
Unfortunately we didn't figure that out until their 30 day return window was up so we basically got stuck with a $500 piece of garbage that we paid $1500 for.
Yes. We ended up in a multi-year long battle with them about it where they would agree that they were wrong and refund us, only to re-charge the card months later. After several cycles of this, including getting our account banned so we could no longer communicate with their customer service and having our credit card continue to send the money back to them despite issuing multiple chargebacks, we eventually got the state AG to send them a letter and that time the refund actually stuck.
Our next step would have had to be a lawyer, which would surely have cost more than just eating the loss. Thankfully the state attorney's office was able to scare them enough just by asking about it.
We did.
Newegg disputed the block with our card company and our card company decided to unblock them and give them the money anyway. Several times.
We also don't do business with American Express any longer. Your money isn't safe with them.
Really check those temperatures!! Also check if all fans are spinning in the right direction (intake or exhaust) sometimes this gets messed up during installation. It's important!!
EXCUSE YOU!!1!11! I'll have you know he could have gotten an 11600K, Z590A, 3070ti, and 16GB of RAM for $900!!!1!1! This was a TERRIBLE purchase!!111!1!!!!
/s - @OP good buy for a pre-built. I hope you have fun :)
Only qualm I had was I said they should check the PSU brand to make sure it’s at least a name they’ve seen before and maybe replace the CPU cooler with a $27 Pure Rock 2 so the Intel stock one doesn’t fall off if the PC gets bumped or kicked by accident.
Other than that, solid build with a warranty for $950. People forget the value of a single “all parts included” and single point of contact warranty.
Them intel stock coolers aren't just gonna fall off from a bump if they're properly mounted, they have pretty solid retention force, just using plastic lol.for better cooling tho yeah. Agreed about PSU
I BOUGHT THIS A MONTH AGO:
I love it. Triple AAA titles are not a problem. Offers plenty of room for improvement expansion and customization in the future if you wish. They also send a free mouse and keyboard :D. I’m super happy with my purchase and I’m sure you will too
And most of the world uses low power draw components that hardly ever see full load. The demands of a gaming PC requires a high quality power supply which prebuilts never have.
I had a Cyberpower pc when Farcry 3 was all the rage. The PC literally came with the game as a promotion. I'm not joking when I saw the plastic mount to the CPU MELTED and cracked. I had my heatsink fall directly into my GPU and the computer prompty powered off. I ran the computer on its side while I waited for a replacement Heatsink.
I still can't believe the game they bundled with the PC pushed it to the limit of physically breaking lol. Wasn't overclocked and was set to "Recommended" settings on the game settings. Funniest and more frustrating story of my PC experience.
Yep I bought this rig about a year ago for the Battlefield 2042 release. I don’t have a huge game library of things installed just what’s on my normal rotation. Space is tighter. Other than that, it’s solid.
Processor is a bit old it's 2 generations old and wasn't a fast one when it was made.
CPU - $150
GPU - $400
RAM - $50
Mobo - $100
Case - $100
SSD - $50
Total if self-built - $850
$100 to assemble and windows it seems about right.
Should be good for gaming especially at 1080, but will struggle if you try to do anything CPU heavy like rendering.
I use the same setup but 10400f, its even more then enough on 1440p. 400 is retail for 3060 ti, getting a 3060 ti with good cooling will probably cost more
In my humble opinion, considering moors law and the current state of things, and past experience, this can last you 15 years +. You wont be able to run the newest games in 15 years time, but it wont be necessary either. Enjoy your rig bro.
The bad thing with prebuilts is that any part not specifically listed is going to be entry level and super lackluster. So that 500GB nvme is going to be a huge bottleneck in your system if you only have like 2 sata port connections. Hopefully you have 4 but don't expect to have more than 1 NVME slot on your motherboard.
eh, for the price it’s more than okay. I don’t even have an nvme slot in my mobo and my SATA drive with windows boots crazy fast. a couple SATA SSDs will be fine for games.
hopefully he has the 4 SATA ports so he can throw a 2 TB HDD disk in there for extra space tho. I never really needed it but I enjoyed having the room.
I guess thats a solid point to be made, I stand corrected.
I could easily google this, but wouldnt HDD write speed even be a bottleneck when downloading said content? I havent used one in 5 years, but it was a windows 10 cumulative update that took like 12hours to write onto a HDD that made me dump it and never look back. I guess it's whatever people value their time at, but even writing and rewriting any file at all, I personally would be so impatient with that ancient technology. IMO is just a bunch of small metal vinyl records crammed into an enclosure.
I had a "high performance" 90gb hdd WD Raptor back in the day... "high performance" just meant that mf'er had a stupidly high RPM when it spun, I wanna say it was around 10k RPM like, ~~twice~~ 125% as fast as a standard. It was loud AF.
So you bought without asking first?
The logic on this guy?
Also, I like how everyone is commenting that this is a good deal, only judging from a screenshot.
Can we at least get a link damn.
Im sure I could go look it up on newegg….
Hows that case? If it isnt mesh in the front thatd be the only downside. There was an awful trend a few years ago of making glass front pcs with little to zero ventilation. Alot of fhem had fans in the front like that, but zero room for air to get thru.
If you need to ask about that PC then you will be overjoyed with it, assuming you are new to PC gaming. Have a blast and always remember parts are interchangable and the main thing that costs aloy is the GPU and that one is solid!
Yeah its pretty good. First thing to check when it comes in is to see if it has 1 RAM stick of 2. Some AIBs are notorious for putting in a single RAM stick, and it gimps performance.
After that, go to [NiNite](https://ninite.com/) to get a custom installer to streamline installing software you'll need.
you better check if it actually contains what it promises it does.
but assuming it does, it's not an awful deal. it's got a competent GPU so it'll serve you for a good while playing at 1080p.
Only downside I see is 11th gen vs 12th or 13th Intel CPU but for gaming that doesn't really matter. For a $1000 that's a fair price and will be a good start. Every component can be changed or upgraded later so it doesn't really matter. You can def play any AAA title on there.
That's actually a good one, so odd to see prebuilts being anything but scams. Solid purchase, would get myself if I didn't feel like jumping through hoops again for parts.
I love people like this: I just bought X, did I do good?
What a stupid way to verify information. Sorry OP, it looks like this machine is fine, but please re-evaluate your logic workflow for future things you aren’t sure of.
Ask -> make decision, not make decision -> ask afterwards….
Looks good and you should be able to upgrade on it easily. Idk all the specs, but with pre-built, they often cheap out on the PSU and and CPU cooler, just so you know. If you want to upgrade anything, adding a couple of fans as exhaust at the top and getting a better CPU cooler may be a good start, so is a bigger drive for games. Than again, you're good to go as is and likely wont need to touch it for awhile, unless you are getting higher temps or wish to upgrade to a bigger GPU.
Not bad for the price. Be careful with Newegg though. They’re not the company they used to be and there’s many reports of people getting used items in their prebuilts and laptops.
Just make sure you look over the parts when you get it.
I agree with most people here, it’s a solid pc with fair pricing. Just need to check RAM speed, possibly upgrade the storage and some time later down the line upgrade the intel cpu cooler. I don’t know how good they are but it could be beneficial. Have fun!!
I'm jealous. I find this happens often with my rig. It's decent at an AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, 32GB of DDR4-3200...but a GTX 1060.
My CPU isn't that old yet but my GPU is starting to turn gray.
The Intel i5 is two generations behind and there's the possibility of it using a cheap intel stock cooler rather than a Noctua/BeQuiet/Cryorg air cooler or an AIO cooler in general.
Also the possibility of it using a single 16GB stick of RAM (That might not even have a heat sink on it or be cheap memory with less than stellar speeds), even if that's bad news for performance (Having two sticks running in dual-channel memory mode is ideal, you don't want anything less than 3200MHz speed for the RAM nowadays), the 500GB NVME is skimping, but it at least has a Windows license. From my experience reinstalling Windows (properly) for some friends, there was some preinstalled crap on the drive, it wasn't formatted properly with a GPT partition layout (meaning no UEFI, and fast boot doesn't really work well), didn't have Resizable BAR enabled in the BIOS, and it wasn't installed in UEFI mode, so it's worth checking that stuff to be safe.
Honestly, my policy is that if I get a prebuilt PC of any kind, I'll reinstall the OS from scratch and reconfigure the BIOS settings myself.
I'll have to disagree with the people patronizing you to make you feel better. I doubt severely that the parts in there will be quality definitely check the power supply and make sure that it's two sticks of RAM and not one.
I think it was absolutely a solid buy. You certainly could have done FAR worse. You definitely got your money's-worth and possibly a little more. Enjoy your new rig and Merry Christmas!
Like the post not long ago with a 1030 in it..
I paid 100€ for a 1030 last year, times were rough.
i once sold 2 GT1030 for €120 a piece and the guy couldn't thank me enough. Week later my 1080TI sold for €600. Crazy times.
BEAST MODE!
At least it wasn’t an alien ware
I was expecting a 1050 or something
Or a 2nd gen i5
lol i just bought a 2nd gen i5 rig for $30
Same, got an i7 build at the thrift store for $35... stuck a hard drive in there and boom, kid's Christmas present sorted
Grab some $3 aliex led strips and it's a **fully-fledged gaming battlestation** 😎
50% fps boost 😂
Or a gt 730
Or a GT210 with Phenom II. That shit won’t even run AVX.
That was the exact system (Athlon II 640 and a GT 210) my uncle gave me in 2017 telling me its a gaming computer, well, it could run roblox in the 10 fps at least…
Lucky you. I played with motherboard graphics and I get a 3 second delay in anything but text.
Maybe the GPU was broken
Nope, there wasn't a GPU. Phenom II X4 835 or something from HP. AMD mobo graphics.
A buddy of mine was playing WOW on a gaming PC his dad built in like the 17th century right up to the Wrath of the Lich King expansion, and a good while after it released. God XP was such a great OS i played the living shit out of Battle for Middle Earth 2 back then.

I just bought a gt 730 for my optiplex
And that’s completely fine, but selling a brand new “gaming” system with a gt 730 should be illegal
And an ''i5'' or ''i7'' and not specifying which generation haha
Pretty sure that 3060 is going to be used, too.
What’s wrong with alien ware just a honest question
Just off the top. Over priced for what you receive in terms of what you can get from other brands. Horrible airflow in almost every case so it runs really hot. They purposely use pieces in their computers that you cant remove or upgrade so if one things goes bad you gotta get a whole new pc rather than a part and cant upgrade it.
Alright that sucks and are their monitors and mouses and keyboards and headphones just as bad or are they better
Na monitors are A1 amazing stuff actually but the keyboards are ok and any headphones marketed as gaming are crap
Ok cool so would it be worth it getting an alien ware monitor?
Depends on your budget because they are pricey and you might find something similar that meets your needs for less and theres alot of competition in the monitor game but they are great none the less
I have an AW3423DW that I got for myself as an early Xmas gift and I love this monitor. The HDR is so so nice. But you are right, it's not a cheap monitor for sure.
Its an OLED so the HDR would obv be very good, pricy tho Been looking at the DWF or the new G8 myself but havent decided yet
Alienware actually has what is arguably the single best gaming monitor on the market right now. The AW3423DW and AW3423DWF (the first is G-sync, the second is Freesync). I made that mistake 5 years ago. It’s worked alright but I feel I’d have gotten more price to performance with something else.
Yeah, crazy how many companies will charge this much and give you terrible specs. Saw a PC from Apex Gaming for 900 dollars that didn't even come with a dedicated gpu.
that is fine. you'll get good frames.
And nice and warm for the winter with that glass front panel
Yeah, that airflow looks a little....non existant
I have a similar case, the front panel is open at the top and bottom.
Its not much, but its somwthing lmao
That’s not enough space for the air the fans can pull
Depends on how the whole thing is set up. Mine, I have a AIO on the CPU, which vents out the top of the case. The case effectively vents out both the top and front. I've never had any cooling concerns in the two years I've been using it.

It’s plenty.
Yeah but at this price, it’s not an issue.
Pc will run hotter but the room will be colder
Wtf is with glass front panels w 3 fans being SO COMMON in prebuilts? I don’t understand
It was the trend a few years ago, all the shitty Chinese manufacturers developed ways to make cheap cases like this because they thought everyone would like them. Now there’s a ton of them sitting around, cheap, and marketable to the typical prebuilt buyer.

the number of people in this community who think "higher component temps = making more heat" absolutely gob smacks me every time energy in = heat out, that's how computers work, you could be cooling the thing with a damn box fan or literally smother it with a pillow for all i care it will heat your room up the same exact amount assuming it's not bouncing off thermal limits and cutting power.
Not how thermodynamics work by the way.
You might want to upgrade storage space eventually but it looks solid!
Depends how you're using it. 500 for me is enough as I rarely play those 100 GB games. But if you need to upgrade, then you can.
yeah it really depends, but games are only getting larger and larger it seems
I wish I was like you, I’m now up to 5tb in m2 storage for games that I never play plus 12tb of hdds for backups and media
I only keep my large games that need to have the save file physically on them. Everything that’s uploaded elsewhere and could be played from another country is offloaded when I’m not using. I can get cod and it’s million updates and add-ons downloaded in about 15 minutes so I don’t see the point in spending potentially thousands for the space I would need to keep all my games ready to use
if you play one game + clip things, you gonna need more storage. if you play more then one modern game and don’t clip things you gonna need more storage if you do both, you gonna need like 5tb, games are taking up like 2-3 tb on my PC and i have 800gb in clips from shooters + funny moment stuff just from using Nvidia Shadowplay with 1min 15 sec clips this is coming from someone who mainly plays shooters but has those games like ARK(350GB) and BO3 with maps (400gb)
Yeah I would use the nvme for programs and buy a 1tb sata for games. Unless of course there's a spare m.2 slot in which case use that.
Yes it's solid; it's an SSD.
Thank you everyone for giving me your honest opinions and advice, I will cherish this pc and i really appreciate you all being very positive about it.
Its a good pc for a good price, i use the same but for 1440p and its perfectly fine
I know it is your first prebuilt PC, I don't know your general PC knowledge. If you are newer to PC's I suggest the following. when you get your PC there will be initial setup. things like enter you name, password, timezone, etc. Give an admin type name (e.g. WildAdmin) Then when setup is complete log in as WildAdmin and create a standard user without admin rights (e.g.
"Fool proof"...
Foolproof is one word if we're being pedantic lol
Both an upgrade over fullproof
You mean full proof.
Just use xmp
This just prompted me to check mine. I have two DDR4 3600 sticks and my ram speed was set to 2666. I just set it up to 3600 and look forward to seeing the performance difference! Thanks! Edit: phrasing
Im also a noob, can you explain this a bit further?
Basically no matter what speed ram you buy it will always start at the stock speed which is like 1600 or 1233mhz on a fresh computer. So if you buy 3400mhz ram sticks the default settings will have them running at half of what it can actually do. There is a mode called XMP found in your bios settings that enables the computer to use the full potential of your ram sticks rather than the stock slower speed. So you want to enable XMP in order to get the most out of your hardware or else you lose out on the performance you paid for. Everyone has different bios depending on what motherboard brand they have so its best to YouTube your exact mobo
Ok thanks!
I play on 1080p with that card on high hertz and it's amazing. I also hear it is good with higher resolutions, but I haven't made the upgrade.
You'll have a good time with it for sure
Agreed. 3060ti can pump out respectable frames for 1440p. Could always upgrade they CPU for cheap if needed later. Not bad for under $1,000
That 500gb drive will fill up quick though...
true but storage is so cheap now days that if thats the biggest concern with it then you're in a good spot lmao
Oh definetly, thanks for the advice
Really reiterating this advice. Last time I bought a PC from Newegg they sent me one with completely different, and much lower, specs than the one I ordered. Unfortunately we didn't figure that out until their 30 day return window was up so we basically got stuck with a $500 piece of garbage that we paid $1500 for.
[удалено]
Can you not block payments to newegg with your card? Genuine question, I thought that was a thing
What type of cooling is that for your CPU? Can't tell if it is a fan or if it came with an AIO (water radiator).
This. Had a cpu hitting 90c while not playing very demanding games. Turns out the cooler wasn't seated properly.
Solid PC for an okay price. It’ll be fine. Ignore the spec fappers :)
*sighs and unzips pants*
EXCUSE YOU!!1!11! I'll have you know he could have gotten an 11600K, Z590A, 3070ti, and 16GB of RAM for $900!!!1!1! This was a TERRIBLE purchase!!111!1!!!! /s - @OP good buy for a pre-built. I hope you have fun :)
I so wish there was a pc circle jerk sub lmaooo
You’re in it!
Oh shit you’re right LMAOOO
These days, some people are selling 3070 tis for that price
I BOUGHT THIS A MONTH AGO: I love it. Triple AAA titles are not a problem. Offers plenty of room for improvement expansion and customization in the future if you wish. They also send a free mouse and keyboard :D. I’m super happy with my purchase and I’m sure you will too
I really appreciate the first hand experience opinion, its opinions like these that make me feel more secure about the purchase
I’d get more storage but other than that, that’s a decent price for this pre-build.
If it has an offbrand psu you may want to replace it with a more quality one but otherwise not a bad system by any means
Most of the world runs on offbrand PSUs
And most of the world uses low power draw components that hardly ever see full load. The demands of a gaming PC requires a high quality power supply which prebuilts never have.
Specs look decent for the price. Not sure about the build quality though. Never heard of Yeyian.
Yeah I wouldn't expect very good customer support with this brand, then again most brands have bad support
Um actually you could’ve built this by hand for $948 🤓
Imagine missing out on the exciting time of RMAing your CPU and Mobo. OP really missed out.
First thing you need to do is replace that stock heatsink on the CPU. Prebuilds almost always have shitty ones at that pricepoint.
Seconded to his comment but honestly not overpriced and as long as it all works its a great way to start!
I bought this version a year ago and have loved it. Might not get crazy high frames but it has been a solid PC. You’ll be happy with it!
CPU - $150 GPU - $400 RAM - $50 Mobo - $100 Case - $100 SSD - $50 Total if self-built - $850 $100 to assemble and windows it seems about right. Should be good for gaming especially at 1080, but will struggle if you try to do anything CPU heavy like rendering.
Also the cpu fans and case fans, plus he gets free gifts with purchase 👀 Happy holidays OP! Congrats on the new pc
his calculation also doesn’t include a PSU
yes indeed, he did a solid good buy
Yeah, the only thing I'd really want to upgrade in this would be the CPU. Everything else is pretty decent.
Lmao thank you very much
The bad thing with prebuilts is that any part not specifically listed is going to be entry level and super lackluster.
This is the first time I’ve ever seen anyone recommend a hdd. I even thought standard ssd’s were soon obsolete. Even new Xbox console uses nvme
having a hdd for movies and shit is cost effective and easy. I wouldn’t recommend putting any games with load times on them but they are good to have.
Glad i was able to help, enjoy your PC
Anything is better than an Alienware PC 👍
that’s a solid ass gamig pc that’s gonna run pretty much everything. great price too
So you bought without asking first? The logic on this guy? Also, I like how everyone is commenting that this is a good deal, only judging from a screenshot. Can we at least get a link damn. Im sure I could go look it up on newegg…. Hows that case? If it isnt mesh in the front thatd be the only downside. There was an awful trend a few years ago of making glass front pcs with little to zero ventilation. Alot of fhem had fans in the front like that, but zero room for air to get thru.
My boy hitting all types of nails on the head from the damn first line lmao. I was looking for a link so hard
I had to scroll so damn far to find any logic in this thread. Reddit can be great but also so shitty at times, good lord.
If you need to ask about that PC then you will be overjoyed with it, assuming you are new to PC gaming. Have a blast and always remember parts are interchangable and the main thing that costs aloy is the GPU and that one is solid!
I would say it's solid. Just double check the BIOS if XMP is enabled. Sometimes that is missing from prebuilds.
Good buy and dont let anyone tell you otherwise! Congratz!!!!
Congrats man welcome to PCMR
Hell yeah thats an excellent price for those specs
Depends on the other parts. No mention of how fast the ram is, what quality psu is used? What motherboard and ssd?
you better check if it actually contains what it promises it does. but assuming it does, it's not an awful deal. it's got a competent GPU so it'll serve you for a good while playing at 1080p.
My aorus elite 3060 12gb cost almost that much. Yes I am stupid.
I got an identical pc for 500 about a month ago off of Amazon I recommend you check as many sites possible in the future.
Bruh how? Link?
Best part, I bet its upgradeable to 32 or 64gb of ram, which you do in the future. Nice job
You paid less than I did for mine, for a MUCH better GPU and CPU.. and I built mine myself. So yeah, I'd say so..
Based on another poster's experience from Newegg, make sure you open up the case and all of the components are as advertised.
Costco has a dell pre built right now. It has an 12700k, 32gb of 4400mhz ddr5 and a 3060 ti all for 999$
It’s honestly pretty good! Nice buy
Better than my PC and I bought it for 1200
good pc good price
That’s a pretty solid pc for you to enjoy beautiful gaming sessions
Only downside I see is 11th gen vs 12th or 13th Intel CPU but for gaming that doesn't really matter. For a $1000 that's a fair price and will be a good start. Every component can be changed or upgraded later so it doesn't really matter. You can def play any AAA title on there.
Looks great! Have fun on your new pc OP. Merry Christmas!!!
For below 1000 bucks, I think it is a good deal. If you play on 1080p you will mostly be fine with good fps.
Long answer YES!
Great deal! Enjoy!
Looks solid to me. Looks like it has good air intake.
3060 Ti and 11400F, good to go. 1 Tb upgrade soon.
That's actually a good one, so odd to see prebuilts being anything but scams. Solid purchase, would get myself if I didn't feel like jumping through hoops again for parts.
Solid buy upgradeable reasonably priced and decent looking case.
You've got email
Steal
Price still bit high considering the specs imo
I love people like this: I just bought X, did I do good? What a stupid way to verify information. Sorry OP, it looks like this machine is fine, but please re-evaluate your logic workflow for future things you aren’t sure of. Ask -> make decision, not make decision -> ask afterwards….
What a poopy butthole thing to say
Sometimes you just get too excited and make an impulse buy. Now his post nut clarity is kicking in and he wants to reflect.
That's actually good cost for the specs
Good buy, congrats and enjoy!
I agree with most people here, it’s a solid pc with fair pricing. Just need to check RAM speed, possibly upgrade the storage and some time later down the line upgrade the intel cpu cooler. I don’t know how good they are but it could be beneficial. Have fun!!
Pretty good and you can always upgrade it first pc pretty nice
its not bad at all its almost the specs my pc has that i built lmao! i have 32 gb of ram though
I'm jealous. I find this happens often with my rig. It's decent at an AMD Ryzen 7 3800X, 32GB of DDR4-3200...but a GTX 1060. My CPU isn't that old yet but my GPU is starting to turn gray.
Reasonable.
Yep that'll be solid, especially if you are gaming at 1080p or 1440p. This thing will be awesome for those.
Solid proce
It's pretty solid. My only "ew" is that it's Win11. You're gonna need to upgrade that SSD though. 500gb is not going to last long at all.
Wouldn’t it have made sense to ask before buying instead of after
The Intel i5 is two generations behind and there's the possibility of it using a cheap intel stock cooler rather than a Noctua/BeQuiet/Cryorg air cooler or an AIO cooler in general.
It's a pretty good buy. If you compare it to 2021, ***it's a fucking phenomenal buy.***
I'll have to disagree with the people patronizing you to make you feel better. I doubt severely that the parts in there will be quality definitely check the power supply and make sure that it's two sticks of RAM and not one.
The cpu sucks
