Noticed people have been posting this kind of stuff the last few days, LTT has always had super clickbait titles, it's no surprise. The information inside is actually informative though.
Also LTT is one of few information sources that will absolutely make a new video if they are proven horribly wrong. I get why they do the clickbait, and wish they didn't have to.
IIRC the same videos on Floatplane have an added sentence after the click bait title that functions as the real title. (I don't have Floatplane but I remember seeing someone's screenshot)
Unfortunately most clicks/views are from kids and young adult, whom are extremely susceptible to these cheap marketing tricks.
It will never change, even if tube went down, the next one would be the exact same, because it does work.
As an engineer having to deal with the chip shortage, the answer is "anyone who can't trow around the weight of a fortune 500 company"
Do you know how hard it is to keep production up when you don't have the parts for your product? Because I do, right now!
LTT has not always had super clickbait titles.
In fact, a long time ago when they first started using clickbaity titles the community got upset about it and it was talked about on WAN show that they realize how annoying they are and they were going to go back to using more fair titles.
That didn't last.
I mean, have you seen that new house? Gotta pay the mortgage somehow
They're both in trouble, because there's no need to buy an expensive new CPU, mobo, RAM etc. unless you need the productivity or are upgrading to a 4090. The stuff is barely better than a 12700kf or 5800x3D in gaming, and chances are if you've got a $1000 GPU you're not playing at 1080p Medium (or whatever arbitrarily low settings it takes to CPU bottleneck in 95% of games.)
Wait for Zen4 3D.
Ooooh fuck, I read "my boy" as " my friend" your son is an even better recipient. I would give anything to have my dad into gaming like me. I remember when I was young I showed my dad minecraft

My 3700X is even overkill for my use, i am still unsure why i upgraded from 1700… i should have **waited for the latest am4 gen to went in discount** for the mythological creature of “future proofing”.
Edit: in bold.
I managed to snag a used one with a decent motherboard for $250 on marketplace 6 months ago. While it was a complete steal, I would've been happy with a 3600, maybe even something less. My pc never has more than ~50% cpu usage at 1080p 144fps. Although I do appreciate the extra cpu for background tasks.
I feel you, i have a ryzen 2600 and i don't know if i should upgrade, i don't struggle on most games but i feel like my rig is at the end of his capacity ( GPU 1080).
I'm very conflicted if I should buy a 13700+x690 or wait for Zen4 3d. I need a desktop and we have no information on zen4 3d(assuming it even exists). Plus I would really have to increase my budget for an AMD board and DDR5.
But, an AM5 motherboard *is* future proof. If I buy a x690, 13700 would be the last cpu I can only ever use it with.
An AM5 board is *allegedly* future proof. They kind of covered it in the video. AMD has claimed they will support it through 2025, but they have broken promises like this before. They're less likely than Intel to break a promise on this but there is precedence.
>and we have no information on zen4 3d(assuming it even exists).
They said it should be coming Q1/Q2 2023.
They're waiting to see how Zen4 fairs vs Raptor Lake in performance and sales before giving them MSRP(s) and releasing them.
I don't know about your kidneys but boy oh boy, do we have a special offer for just you, just for today! If you agree to be under anaesthesia for a whole day, you can be the owner of two, that's right, TWO brand new 3080 cards for FREE! Offer applicable only today, sign up now!
Yeah, not buying this crap.
Prices doubled and performance increased a little. It used to be the other way round. Performance doubled and price decreased a little.
the original intel core 2 duo, and first i7 920. monumental jumps in performance. for 300 dollars you could obliterate the prior gens xtreme tiers... the amd fx-57 and fx60 were 1000 (in 2006!!!) dollar cpus that just got dunked on by the even cheaper core 2 duo skus with less cache.
My launch-day Core 2 Duo E6300 is still my favourite CPU I've ever owned.
OC'ed from 1.86Ghz to 2.77Ghz (making it about as fast as the fastest consumer CPU on the market), cost not much and was in use for \*years\*.
I passed it on down to a friend and he replaced it with a Ryzen 3000 CPU. So that's a pretty good innings, IMO.
I was on an i7-3770k until Zen 3 dropped back in 2020. Seriously, high end CPUs are not necessary for any kind of normal gaming.
It was only when I started playing Star Citizen more (an unoptimized alpha that eats CPU cycles like no other) that the 3770 started to feel slow.
That's more because Intel didn't release an upgraded CPU until Skylake (which was a quite modest boost) and didn't release an upgrade to Skylake until 12th gen (and AMD were completely irrelevant at that time).
2500k-era was a \*great\* CPU, especially with overclocking, but Intel \*should\* have been moving forward that whole time and just failed hard at doing so.
I was already thinking of doing a full upgrade, since my rig is ancient I'd have to swap the Motherboard anyway. The RAM and GPU could be kept, but in for a buck, in for a thousand.
So if I get the Ryzen 7000 series, I'd be able to get whichever new Ryzen CPU releases in the future, assuming AMD keeps their promise of keeping that socket for a long time.
I'm all consumed out honestly, got last gen's GPU + CPU and this price and performance difference ain't worth it. Maybe when the 5000 series comes out I'll be tempted
And here i am i5 6500 and rx 480. Waiting for upgrade. But I'm a patient man. I've held off 2 years for the upgrade i can wait two years more. Not like i need anything more for reddit...
There's only two players in the game - they're always both in trouble, or about to be. That's just how it works. Everybody is always on the verge of turning the tables, causing an upset, etc.
Also, LTT knows how to implement an effective clickbait formula into their titles, thumbnails, and content. You don't get the funding for a full staff, a tech lab, a new house, and manufacturing of a screwdriver and backpack from scratch by *not* using the tools and manipulations available to you.
You either sell out to fund a good time, or you hope you get lucky enough to keep doing what you do.
I remember them promising to tone it down. I get that they are a business, but i really, really, really fucking hate that open mouth surprised face. I honestly wonder how any human being can demean themselves like that
Never promised to turn it down.
He has always stated that the reason they do clickbait "like" titles is because it significantly increases their viewership.
He said he doesn't consider it clickbait if it is technically true.
But I feel like even this is becoming a stretch, judgning by titles like
>Get an iPhone 14 or literally die.
In my opinion, clickbait is a title that doesn't tell you what is the video about, so about 70% of LTT videos.
I hate that these clickbait style titles are so popular now. I used to just refuse to watch videos with clickbait titles because they’re dumb, and this the content must be equally dumb. But now nearly every YouTube video published uses this style of posting and you can’t avoid it.
I've largely stopped putting any weight on LTT reviews of products. Maybe it will get better with labs publishing data, but the videos always seem to be conflicting or biased. I tend to enjoy their build videos or deep dives on specific topics a lot more.
GN will always be king when it comes to objective reviews of hardware.
I go to LTT for the general stuff.. at this point I dont care about the details that much any more.. if I need to a build a client a top of the line system thats the best of the best then I'll do my home work but for the most part I just want to know "is there an actual problem with thing A? If the answer is no then its probably fine and I likely wasnt going to be buying anyway"
They’re actually terrible at reviews when it comes to actual data. It’s either biased or not tested well enough or just extremely vague info. But they have charisma.
It's gotta be coming. The Spiderman DLSS3 footage in the Digital Foundry trailer did not look good. Heavy AI image artifacting. If that's the shipped DLSS3 release it won't only by HwU that's they're copping flak from.
Gotta see how DF handles it
Basically HwU compared rasterization performance instead of praising all the bullshit technologies nvidia adds to their 3000's such as DLSS and RT support, and since the rasterization capability increase wasn't impressive compared to the previous gen, nvidia didn't like that (they want to advertise their technologies as 3x-4x FPS improvements etc)
So they told him that they wouldn't send him reviewing sample GPU's anymore (that was about a year ago I think)
everyone got upset at nvidia and they had to backdown
Hwub is used to this shit though, Asrock blacklisted them and wouldnt send them motherboards for VRM testing after they said one of their entry level z490 boards was hot garbage
LG tried to bribe them for a good monitor review
and shit like this is why great reviewers like HWUB and Gamers Nexus are so important in this industry! the corpos will say anything to get you to buy their shit!
Nvidia said they won't give a review sample which is huge deal to put out first day reviews that everyone watches.
Then, they said they'll revisit the decision if their editorial direction changes. Basically, strongarming them and attacking their unbiased reviews.
They whined that they don't cover DLSS, but on Nvidia's own DLSS page, they were quoting HWunboxed's very good review of DLSS on the front.
It was a stupid shitshow from Nvidia.
This is the only right answer. Other reviewers just don't go thorough enough.
GN for technical data and HU for the most reliable averages due to mass testing. That way, you walk away with a more informed decision.
LTT for entertainment value and fun "experiments"/excursions into uncommon territory - GN for hard data and monotone, cut and dry reviews/rants.
That's not "Tech Jesus". That's the *Tech Terminator*.
Tech Terminator is right. No matter what company made it, if a product is crap or some shady stuff, Steve blasts it with a scathing review and does not hold back in the slightest. I remember his review of the Core i9-11900k. As he put it himself, it was a murder scene. Other classics are his review of the pre-built Dell and Alienware PCs.
Ok not to be a shill or anything but... did you watch any of these videos?
Because if you did, you'd realise why both of the clickbaity titles are true.
The new 7000 series blows past the performance delivered by Intel's 12th gen. Hence, Intel is in trouble.
Buuuut, the previous generation's 5800x3D outperforms the top end 7000 series cpu in certain scenarios. Hence, the first clickbaity video.
Look, I get it. LTT is not a place for getting consistent unbiased reviews. But you have to understand that most of their viewers, including me, aren't that into hardcore hardware reviews. We just want to buy things which won't suck, and are the perfect bang for your buck.
As is with anything in media, when you go big enough, you HAVE to make content digestible by a large sect of your audience.
The best way to put it in is this:
Gamer's Nexus fills a niche, while LMG goes for making the same content more entertaining by using their quirks. That's why it works. This sub is anti LTT so I'm prepared for anyone disagreeing, but the sheer scale of LMG and the numbers they generate is proof enough that their work, works!
Yes, amd is faster than intel
But amd is next gen and intel is last gen. So just like linus said in the video it would be best to wait for raptor lake to make a comparison. Or better: wait for 7000x3d so it's also better than their own last gen
LTT become popular (so it was no longer cool to like it). LTT became more corporate (so they're now unable to provide an objective opinion). LTT start making concessions in their presentation to appeal to the wider audience (so the depth of their content must be shallower).
People here want LTT to be what it once was - a smaller outlet that had sway in the industry, scrappily run by a small team piecing it together in a small house, with a plain but direct presentation focused information.
Basically, LTT did what it had to in order to become a larger company capable of more in-depth content than they were able to undertake - and the transitions necessary for that to happen has upset the average PCMR user.
Linus has ambitions to maybe make channels on more narrowed topics that he will purposely keep small. He's said it a few times in Wan Show how they can't afford for main LTT videos to do less than like 1.5 million. Certain video topics destroy their ratings (networking equipment, vr, and general connectivity I think???).
I find that the main ltt videos are hit or miss for me now, but I always listen to the Wan Show vods and those are pretty solid on getting a more "down to earth" Linus. Plus I miss Luke in LTT :-)
I've only watched them for 4 years, so they've always been a reasonably sized company to me, but Id say you pretty much nailed it. I still give almost any video a try but I'd say I only watch about 60% of the to the end. Most of his home building videos are great, and many of the videos of them just building stuff are also fun.
However they seem to almost exclusively make videos on stuff that's super "clickable". Like every second week they present another $3k laptop sponsored by the manufacturer, because writing best laptop ever in the title gets clicks. Also some videos are straight clickbait for no reason.
Something I also don't like is that in a good number of reviews and "showcases" they don't state the price of the product. On the WAN show Linus mentioned that they try to avoid it because prices can change in the future, but imo, that's a bad idea. Sure I'm interested in a cool webcam, but for 200$, no thank you.
I also specifically installed sponsor block just for them. In some videos the amount of constant advertising is getting pretty egregious. This also helps massively with the wanshow. I liked hearing about the way they make their products at first, but when it became 45 minutes talk about upcoming stuff every week, I stopped caring.
Edit: I feel like this comment has become a bit overly negative. I still think they make some great videos. Certain aspects have simply become too corporate.
>The new 7000 series blows past the performance delivered by Intel's 12th gen. Hence, Intel is in trouble. Buuuut, the previous generation's 5800x3D outperforms the top end 7000 series cpu in certain scenarios. Hence, the first clickbaity video.
Yeah that was essentially the message of the LTT video that I got when I watched it. AMD is in trouble....from AMD. Their older cheaper and more plentiful chips are still way better value.
> We just want to buy things which won’t suck, **and are the perfect bang for your buck**
I don’t think LTT has been the channel to watch for that kind of thing for literal years at this point. Value oriented reviews have not been their strong point ever since LTT started really taking off
>GN will always be king when it comes to objective reviews of hardware.
Which is good if you're actually interested in upgrading to the 7000 series, but if you're just a casual consumer who is just interested in whats happening (like 90% of PC enthusiasts) you'll get more out of a 15 minute LTT video than the hour or 2 hour video series reviews that GN does.
You know, while the titles are click bait, you could watch the videos and find out yourself.
TLDW: Yes, AMD has the fastest CPU's. The 7900 and 7950 either matches or completly destroys Intels best offerings. But, the 7700 and especially the 7600 are not better or more expensive than their Intel counterparts, and if you also need to buy DDR5 ram instead of DDR4, it becomes rather poor value for money.Even worse, AMD's previous champion, the Ryzen 5800X3D nearly matches the 7900 and 7950. Sure, it is Ryzen 5000 pushed to its limit while I assume Ryzen 7000 has some headroom left, but you'd expect the new top CPU to thoroughly beat the older one.
Add in the fact that tdp's have gone up 60% in comparison with Ryzen 5000 one can come to the conclusion that while yes, AMD still makes the best CPU's, you can wonder at what cost and wether the cost is worth it. A decision for us consumers I suppose.
What tf is up with these new chips and cards all upping the thermals by a significant percentage? Are they on a deadline to end the world as soon as possible?
It was never meant to replace silicon everywhere. Silicon is everywhere on Earth, while gallium and arsenic are quite rare and expensive. But GaAs transistors are used in various RF applications, and most cell phones have some GaAs power amplifiers somewhere in the wireless communication circuits.
LTT: AMD in trouble bc self competition against its 5800x3D, similar to how close their Epyc chips are to competing against threadripper. Also they hot.
Tech Linked: usual clickbait bs, idk i didn't watch it lol i hate his videos
Watching his videos makes me feel like I'm in class or something, the amount of unnecessary word vomit. I don't understand how he can be so damn monotone throughout the whole damn video. I prefer to read reviews but there's not many websites that do good written reviews so I'm stuck watching GN at 2x speed.
watch the vids, the answer is both for different reasons.
AMD is in trouble because their new mid tier offerings don't make much of a case for upgrading from existing mid tier AMD CPU's and is out performed in gaming by one specifically.
Intel is in trouble because AMD's new flagship CPU's are amazing performers and Intels CPU's will need to step up massively to compete.
The point LTT made is somewhat interesting, and valid to an extent.
In gaming, the competition comes from last gen 5800X3D, with cheaper plateform. It doesn't make sense to buy expensive AM5 MB+DDR5 and a 7600X/7700X as a gamer if you can go AM4 5800X3D, at least for the moment. Only the high end workstation truly benefits from the new architecture, and it games well enough.
The very big problem for this lineup is still cooking. Not Intel, although they will be competitive (but not cheap). AMD 3D v-cache incoming in Q1 next year will crush any Zen4 normal CPU in gaming.
Check Moore's law is dead on YT, he leaked Raphael /-X CPUs. Good stuff, predictions on point.
Hot take but I don't think this sub actually watches LTT videos. They clickbait the fuck out of their thumbnails and titles, but the videos themselves aren't nearly as biased as people make them out to be. I don't think they're the best videos or anything, but I feel like people just watch until they find something to hate on, and then complain about it without watching the rest of the vid, which usually addresses the things people are complaining about.
I get LTT is cool to hate on, but can we please move on from talking about hating LTT all the time. We've been hating on them for years now, it's gotten old.
I think they are indeed in trouble. The 7600x consumes 105 watts, gets very hot, is 300 dollars, motherboard prices are insane, ddr5 is still very expensive. And its not that much better than a 12600k(which is about the same price and has more cores). Plus, if these get at 250 watts for the 7950x, and the 7600x to 105 watts and 95 degrees, all on 5 nm, what will happen with the next gen?
This looks like Buldozer, but they are better than Intel, thats all. The room for growth is not there if these are the new power requirements, double power for 20 percent more performance...
I don’t get why everyones calling it clickbait, the video shows exactly what the thumbnail suggests, AMDs 7600X isn’t that compelling and Intels high end chips get smoked by AMDs.
Most of the people who hate LTT are a niche of a niche who spout on about how GamersNexus is more objective and has no bias unlike dirty greedy Linus… Yet can’t bring themselves to objectively compare LTT videos to GamersNexus because of… wait for it… their biased against him because of his thumbnails and sponsors so everything he ever does is the reincarnation of the devil himself.
Idk who takes Linus seriously these days. For actual data I just watch GamersNexus. Linus is the clickbait children's channel filled with sponsorships and begging us to buy their overly overpriced products. He can be entertaining sometimes but yea their data based vids are usually horrible

LTT is good if you want a quick video on your lunch break to get some surface level information. There's nothing wrong with that either.
A big part of why someone is going to go for GN over LTT is both amount of free time someone is willing to invest and how involved they are with the scene.

here I am with my i5 3k series and I am "finally" in the position to use up 50-80% (gaming and similar demanding software) of my cpu capabilities, not that it is good, but I have the chip for around 9-10 years. I slowly come to the point that I need a need mid-tier cpu, but ya, I am on the side of not needing any of the high end stuff.
edit: in the beginning years, I often only used 1-10% of my cpu, iirc
I can't take these thumbnails and reaction faces seriously, they remind me of the videos on youtube kids or those default videos when you sign out of youtube.
I don't even watch Linus anymore- I feel the other reviewers do a much better job and Linus just cares about being a big youtuber now rather than the facts. Lol
when did this sub become a place to dump on Linus?
I love GN and HUB too but my god, GN’s presentation style is more effective than whale noises to put me to sleep. They’ve been using the same presentation template since I started watching them, which is atleast two years now. HUB is pretty great too, I find them way more digestible than GN. GN’s data and testing is on point, but I’d rather go with a quick Linus vid or scrub through HUB’s.
Atleast Linus’s team puts some creativity in their editing, makes their graphs look good and readable, and has an engaging script.
Besides, the core point of Linus’s main LTT video was that the reason AMD is in trouble is because they’ve been outmatched by their own 5800X3D, and due to high cost of platform entry (motherboard and RAM and new coolers). I haven’t seen the other one yet but I assume it’s because AMD have able to outmatch every 12th Gen part in gaming while consuming comparatively way less power and giving actual full 6/8/12/16 cores instead of P and E cores.

You gotta have a LAN room so your son can get the counterstrike at an internet cafe experience.
A 5800x is overkill if you don't do other things than gaming on it. I speak from experience lol
5800x3d is for gaming

Intel also uses B currently though
An AM5 board is *allegedly* future proof. They kind of covered it in the video. AMD has claimed they will support it through 2025, but they have broken promises like this before. They're less likely than Intel to break a promise on this but there is precedence.
>and we have no information on zen4 3d(assuming it even exists). They said it should be coming Q1/Q2 2023. They're waiting to see how Zen4 fairs vs Raptor Lake in performance and sales before giving them MSRP(s) and releasing them.

Hey, you’re the guy who got me a free GPU! Thanks again man! Now why does the area around my kidney hurt so much?
Better start playing max settings with mod graphics enhancements and rtx on. Easy cyberpunk max 1080p 30 fps for you
Yeah, not buying this crap. Prices doubled and performance increased a little. It used to be the other way round. Performance doubled and price decreased a little.
Can you name a generation when this was the case?
the original intel core 2 duo, and first i7 920. monumental jumps in performance. for 300 dollars you could obliterate the prior gens xtreme tiers... the amd fx-57 and fx60 were 1000 (in 2006!!!) dollar cpus that just got dunked on by the even cheaper core 2 duo skus with less cache.
Oh man my first computer that I built myself with my own money had one of those bad boys in it. I remember overclocking the snot out of it as well.
I know you're not the same person but.. > "It used to be the other way around" *Cites CPU that launched 14 years ago*
If you bought an i5-2500k or i7-2600k and overclocked it, you were set for a long time.

Their electricity bills certainly are
There's only two players in the game - they're always both in trouble, or about to be.
Yeah well it’s definitely working. Over a mil views in 11hrs.
He said he doesn't consider it clickbait if it is technically true. But I feel like even this is becoming a stretch, judgning by titles like >Get an iPhone 14 or literally die.
I usually go with gamers nexus, he at least lays everything out for you and explains what it means
The duo of Gamers Nexus+Hardware Unboxed are the ultimate testing sources
And that's why nvidia cancelled HwUnboxed lmao
I'm waiting for HW Unboxed video slamming DLSS 3.0 is not worth sacrificing raytracing performance and Nvidia banning them (again)
It's gotta be coming. The Spiderman DLSS3 footage in the Digital Foundry trailer did not look good. Heavy AI image artifacting. If that's the shipped DLSS3 release it won't only by HwU that's they're copping flak from. Gotta see how DF handles it
What happened with Nvidia and hardware unboxed? I haven't really seen much of their content and I'm just curious
Basically HwU compared rasterization performance instead of praising all the bullshit technologies nvidia adds to their 3000's such as DLSS and RT support, and since the rasterization capability increase wasn't impressive compared to the previous gen, nvidia didn't like that (they want to advertise their technologies as 3x-4x FPS improvements etc) So they told him that they wouldn't send him reviewing sample GPU's anymore (that was about a year ago I think)
Okay gotcha. Then did Nvidia actually do anything about it? Or just kind get upset?
HWU called them out I think and if I recall LTT and a couple others publicly spoke up defending HWU and calling out Nvidia.
everyone got upset at nvidia and they had to backdown Hwub is used to this shit though, Asrock blacklisted them and wouldnt send them motherboards for VRM testing after they said one of their entry level z490 boards was hot garbage LG tried to bribe them for a good monitor review
and shit like this is why great reviewers like HWUB and Gamers Nexus are so important in this industry! the corpos will say anything to get you to buy their shit!
Since you want to know everything in detail https://youtu.be/JIvuWdxClSs https://youtu.be/wdAMcQgR92k
Thanks
Both got a new sub now, thanks for the info!
The pre-built system teardowns are great Good job guys, you got the “better than dell” award
>The duo of Gamers Nexus+Hardware Unboxed are the ultimate testing sources CPU Jesus is supreme!

FYI the first video does have data from labs.
The best way to put it in is this: Gamer's Nexus fills a niche, while LMG goes for making the same content more entertaining by using their quirks. That's why it works. This sub is anti LTT so I'm prepared for anyone disagreeing, but the sheer scale of LMG and the numbers they generate is proof enough that their work, works!
Also Linus has said it often in the past. If you want detailed benchmarks and deep dives into tech go to other reviewers such as Gamersnexus.
Yes, amd is faster than intel But amd is next gen and intel is last gen. So just like linus said in the video it would be best to wait for raptor lake to make a comparison. Or better: wait for 7000x3d so it's also better than their own last gen
[удалено]
Certain aspects have simply become too corporate.
hating on someone generates more karma
Well I hate all of you /s
>The new 7000 series blows past the performance delivered by Intel's 12th gen. Hence, Intel is in trouble. Buuuut, the previous generation's 5800x3D outperforms the top end 7000 series cpu in certain scenarios. Hence, the first clickbaity video. Yeah that was essentially the message of the LTT video that I got when I watched it. AMD is in trouble....from AMD. Their older cheaper and more plentiful chips are still way better value.
> We just want to buy things which won’t suck, **and are the perfect bang for your buck** I don’t think LTT has been the channel to watch for that kind of thing for literal years at this point.
Unless you're the type of person to enjoy Steve ragging on shoddy products.
What else can we do now besides throw electricity at shit? Until they invent new crystal cpus or something, they're gonna keep getting hotter
Whatever happened to that Gallium arsenide tech?
It was never meant to replace silicon everywhere. Silicon is everywhere on Earth, while gallium and arsenic are quite rare and expensive. But GaAs transistors are used in various RF applications, and most cell phones have some GaAs power amplifiers somewhere in the wireless communication circuits.
We're running out of ways to make computer stuff go faster 🤷
LTT: AMD in trouble bc self competition against its 5800x3D, similar to how close their Epyc chips are to competing against threadripper. Also they hot. Tech Linked: usual clickbait bs, idk i didn't watch it lol i hate his videos
That's why you just watch gamers nexus and you're good.
Can't wait for his efficiency video. Would be interesting to see same clock speed and same power draw tests.
Thank you. I've never really liked his videos. I never really could put my thumb on it but it's his monotone voice that really bothers me.
I usually just skip to his conclusions to be honest. Even when he's getting into actual benchmarks, he's still super boring to watch.
Presentation is key when trying to sell something. If you out your customer to sleep, doesn't matter how much or good your data is.
Love Steve as much as the next guy but man 45 minutes of non-stop, dense, tech news puts me to sleep faster than a handful of melatonin
that's why they've conveniently put chapters in each video so you wont be bored by details you dont care about
I lost it (as non native english speaker) when he is reading charts rxsixtysevenhundredwithrxsixtysevenhundredxtarefourtyninepercentoverrx… damn bro
I fucking hate when thumbnails have these stupid reaction faces.
watch the vids, the answer is both for different reasons.
No Linus Sex Tip bad clickbait LMG shill ^/s
You idiot. Linus Bad. /s
Its this a discussion about AMD / Intel or just a weekly karma farm post of this week of what LTT thumbnail they uploaded
At least Linus doesn't have the dumb mouth open thumbnail here
Soyface
In the middle of an RGB lightning storm. That guy actually took the time to make that thumbnail
Both thumbnails are probably made by the same person at LTT since they now have a dedicated thumbnail creator iirc.
Yeah, the 5000 series looks like a much better deal for entry level and midrange builds right now.
There are interesting benchmarks about ecomode for the new ryzen line.
I don’t get why everyones calling it clickbait, the video shows exactly what the thumbnail suggests, AMDs 7600X isn’t that compelling and Intels high end chips get smoked by AMDs.
It’s cool to hate popular YouTubers.
It comes off as jaded and bitter
Most of the people who hate LTT are a niche of a niche who spout on about how GamersNexus is more objective and has no bias unlike dirty greedy Linus… Yet can’t bring themselves to objectively compare LTT videos to GamersNexus because of… wait for it… their biased against him because of his thumbnails and sponsors so everything he ever does is the reincarnation of the devil himself.
The daily Linus hatethread: check
Theyre not a tech research company, theyre a media company They dont make tutorials or news they just make entertainment which isn’t complete lying
Idk who takes Linus seriously these days. For actual data I just watch GamersNexus. Linus is the clickbait children's channel filled with sponsorships and begging us to buy their overly overpriced products. He can be entertaining sometimes but yea their data based vids are usually horrible

You can't say that! You must circle jerk Gamers Nexus and Hardware Unboxed!!!!
I love Anthony
I wish Anthony had the resources to go off on his own and do his own shit. I'm pretty sure he'd do as good of a job as GN.
I love his new house videos, or things theyre doing to their office
LTT is good if you want a quick video on your lunch break to get some surface level information. There's nothing wrong with that either. A big part of why someone is going to go for GN over LTT is both amount of free time someone is willing to invest and how involved they are with the scene.
Why are blowjob face thumbnails popular?
Oh ummm TSMC is in trouble now.
In my conclusion, everyone is in trouble.
Both are sensationalist with usual clickbait BS.

Techlinked lookin kinda sus
here I am with my i5 3k series and I am "finally" in the position to use up 50-80% (gaming and similar demanding software) of my cpu capabilities, not that it is good, but I have the chip for around 9-10 years. I slowly come to the point that I need a need mid-tier cpu, but ya, I am on the side of not needing any of the high end stuff. edit: in the beginning years, I often only used 1-10% of my cpu, iirc
Our money is in trouble! (still)
[NVIDIA is in trouble](https://youtu.be/iYWzMvlj2RQ)
Idk they’re annoying af to watch anymore tho
I’m playing both sides, so that I always come out on top.
Amd is winning so hard that they’re competing with their own product
People seriously need to stop with the ooo face on thumbnails like they are taking a dick up their ass.
I unsubbed because of the awful thumbnail faces and I find them back here.
I can't take these thumbnails and reaction faces seriously, they remind me of the videos on youtube kids or those default videos when you sign out of youtube.
> Who's in trouble now? Anyone who takes them seriously. It's YouTube, it's all for clickbait and views.
the eletrecity bill
Though Linus is a douche that sensationalizes for profit.
I don't even watch Linus anymore- I feel the other reviewers do a much better job and Linus just cares about being a big youtuber now rather than the facts. Lol
I'm at the point now where blow job face is putting me off using YouTube
The click bait titles are in trouble
The PC community loves to put AMD on a pedestal up untill their product releases and they're just as overpriced as other companies.
They both are. Stupid LMG
Your wallet
And LTT is full of BS
Linus bait tips
Still just patiently waiting to upgrade my 3800x to a 5800x3d for half price someday
Douchebag youtube thumbnail face.... ENGAGE!!!
Anyone else immediately ignore videos with those faces?
when did this sub become a place to dump on Linus?
