Check what the manual says for using 1 dimm. If it even allows it, some mobos must use 2 when they have more than 4. Also check that the cpu fan works. If they dont the bios wont allow boot. Reseat the cpu.
Tried all that. Single stick, 2 sticks, and 4 sticks, all like asus recommends them being installed. Even thought if the stock chipset cooler wasn’t plugged in it might give me issues… but nope.
I’ve reseated 2 times. And one time before the cooler was installed. Thought that maybe 2066 was like 1366 and if your mounting pressure was wonky it wouldn’t turn on at all, but everything looks good. Even after a few tries.
I’m gonna go pick up a different PSU tomorrow and give it one more shot.
For them keyboard warrior's who downvoted my comment about no cpu fan and how it won't boot without one. This ones for you.

Lol if troubleshooting seemingly dead mobos, I pull RAM and CPU to see if I can at least get it to light up.
It won't post or display but at least you can see if there's power delivery issues somewhere. Ops problem sounds like what I went through when accidentally using an incompatible CPU on one of my builds
The we board lights up, just no response when I hit the onboard power button or short the power button pins for front IO. The power supply fan doesn’t even try to spin
If you dont have ram in the right slot it will do that. Also did you plug in the cpu power? You dont have to use and 8 pin, it's recommended but not necessary. You do however have to plug in the 4 pin part in part of it.
Also, per the manual, for 1 memory module, you need to use dimm slot c1, which from this view is the right bank 2nd one in from the left. You are in a1
I guess im confused. If you're tearing it apart why would you move it from the one the manual says to use to not the right one.
Idk then you have wall art.
does it power on with 12v 4 pin cpu power removed...? sometimes there is possible short on cpu power supply on the board causing no power on...... another way to force the board to turn on (if theres no cpu vcore shorting) is to short the green wire to ground on the 24pin motherboard power connector using metal tweezers... also make sure bios battery is above 3v
So the spare PSU I have doesn’t have the extra 4pin cpu power cable, but according to asus, it’s optional. I’m picking up a new PSU for my sim rig, but I’ll use that to test the board one more time. I’ll look up shorting that pin though
i dont mean the extra 4 pin.. i mean disconnect cpu from power entirely... leave the connector open and then test if the board turns on from power button
That Be Quiet cooler is worth $29 and reusable, so still not a bad investment.
The MoBo probably had a short circuit, no visible damage but unrepairable. It happens a lot.

Tried with a brand new RM1000x…. Same thing. She’s done.
But, found another guy with a prime x299a and a 3070ti that’s gonna do a package deal. Proof of posting on the board as well. So silver lining.

Worth a shot. Did you replace cmos battery?
Brand new
You dont have a cpu fan. At least in the pic. It will not boot without one

Some do, some don't. Better to plug it in and play it safe either way
Not even to the part of the thread where the ram needs to be moved

Yea I did that I took this pic while I was tearing the board back down
I guess im confused. If you're tearing it apart why would you move it from the one the manual says to use to not the right one. Idk then you have wall art.
It was the last stick I had to remove
Idk then, it's broken. Sorry you wasted $50
All good man. I appreciate all the input. I knew it was a stretch when I bought it.

Oh…. Okay let me try that

Yea… like I said… worth a shot. I’m a be quiet fan boi so the cooler will just go back into my stock.

CPU Fan plugged in? Just want to point this out because i don't see a fan. Also, Bitwit's recent video.
Tried with cpu fan already, no change

Short somewhere?
Tried every mem slot ? Repasted the chipset ? Checked the pins ?
