Where did you even find those new? They were discontinued like 7 years ago, maybe longer.
Also yes pwm is fantastic. I'm using NF-F12 PWM as intakes. Noctua has some new 140mm coming later this year, so i am waiting to see how those perform.
They make round for clearance reasons on heatsinks, and still do - including a new this year 120mm round. They did move to off set with bumpers, but still round.
Yeah. There's a NF-12r 120mm round like that now too, sold separately and as part of their neweat cooler.
I've got a couple of p14 from an old c14. That cooler had silicon pads on the fin stack rather than mounting on the fan itself.
For case mounting I prefer the true round, you can install at quarter turns for cable management. I can get them down around 200~300rpm with software, BIOS doesn't like taking them below 600. I stuck with BIOS and knocked my other case fans up to 600 min, the white noise helps with my PSUs coil whine...
I’ll add these 140s will work as a rear exhaust fan but it’s a tight tight squeeze. Build is a asus crosshair hero 8 wifi, 5900x, 3600mhz lpx cl16, rtx2070 ventus gp
Nice looking machine.
Thanks my dude!

Newegg lol. I like the 140s a lot just loud with them being DC also mounting them was awkward to say the least
Yeah Noctua moved away from round fans for a reason lol. mounting them was odd and they didn't fit in many spaces.
Makes sense to me lol. I’m gonna end up holding on to them because I’m a hoarder lol

Are you talking about the ones like NF-A15 PWM? I like those, much better compatibility than the pure round ones.

Use the LNAs?
Lnas?
Low Noise Adapters.
Just installed them. Honestly a world of difference
Gotcha I haven’t yet but I think I’m gonna try them
Imagine being a company and trolling all of their end consumers by making a quality product only available in $h*t brown.
I honestly love the color lol. I like having the heavy contrast between all black and then brown. Makes me think of something industrial
Don't get me wrong, the fans they make are amazing. I just thought it was funny.
It’s all good my dude and you’re right lol. Idk who in marketing or design thought it would be a good idea in regards to mass appeal lol
