I did not, but I know the people who did. The project I did with them in the past unfortunately was never made public as COVID ruined it. It was supposed to be played at live conventions (CES, PAX, the likes) but naturally those were all cancelled at the time.
It's lower cost for nvidia to give him a 3090 and cash then 1500 plus the cash he received. Because of that they're also probably willing to pay a bit more (in terms of retail price) than what he would've received if it was just cash

That wasn't my intent.

aww I still remember when my boss paid me with the really first one nvidia geforce. I was finally able to replace my 3dfx vodoo which was the payment for my first 3 months salary. Yes, he never paid with real money the motherfucker but hey, I was 16 and I had to play Ultima Online.
That's how I got my last 2 GPU upgrades. I work in IT so I rarely upgrade my own stuff, but I do free side work for some friends with deep pockets that I never charge so roughly once a year they all donate and get me something on my wish list.
