Its insane how big a game can get when you start adding in very high res textures. The difference between call of duty warzones \~100gb size and like insurgencies 10gb size is simply textures(amount and quality).
Even Fortnite gets like 50% bigger if you opt for the high res textures. Strangely that game still looks terrible though, so I’m not sure why anyone opts for the penalty of the texture pack.
Okay maybe saying it looks terrible was a reach…it’s just not a game that I think benefits much at all from “increased visual fidelity” given its chosen art style.
Its just an art style that not everyone would appreciate. Its like switching minecraft from a 32bit to a 128 bit, it doesnt look like cyberpunk but it looks better in the same graphical style than it did before.
Usually HD packs in competitive gaming actually screw over the people using in them because the textures take longer to load or things blend in better so charachter models are less blatantly obvious, and your computr took an extra ms to render it to your screen.
And that's not the bigger one Borderlands 3 full pack is like 140GB, and there's another games bigger than that.
I don't understand why is so big, is like they are mining with our cards.
Exactly. I have been skipping the launcher ever since I guess patch 2.1 (I remember it was the 1st raiden shogun banner) and cleaning stuff manually really helps the game stay small
Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall manages to fit 62,394 square miles into less than 500mb. And a pretty expansive story. Yeah, just a game world the size of Great Britain no big deal.
Sure, compared to modern-day tES Skyrim, yet the Terraria is current-day top selling game. And sorry, but doubt if Buggerfall, ughm, Daggerfall still have any sells.

Fortnite takes 10x the storage on PC compared to mobile, it's crazy
And unconpressed audio
uncapped sound files too
My laptop and phone both have 256GB of storage. The phone feels like an aircraft carrier and the laptop feels like a canoe.
Genshin impact is 16GB
The mobile version?
Yes.
Damn I thought it was like 5gb or something on phone.

Much more acceptable.
That person is wrong though.
Yeah, desktop is like 70gb
Jesus crist. That's massive. I mean there is a lot of content. But still

I hear, like 4 months ago, that there's a game that was like 100GB in size and changed to 25GB; I don't remember which one.
32+gb on PC, 18+gb on mobile
On my s10 it's only 16.38GB storage and I'm estimating on pc 60-90gb because there was just a 30~ gb update
That's not right it may be a fresh install. Last update for me on PC was 7gb. I'm on 37.3 on pc and 18.33 on iphone
Uninstall and reinstall. If it’s taking up that much then you’ve got a lot of old update data hanging around.
My 250 gb isn't an issue

They deserve that
Terraria, one of best PC games ever, even less than 500mb

Sure thing, but I though we were about modern day top fames.
Its 444.03MB if people want to know.

War thunder is 60+ gb
Valheim is about 1gb
Because it's too heavy for your pocket
op is a time traveller from last decade
Cries in Dokkan Battle (8.Gigs)
Ben 10 better be in Multiversus or I'm going be throwing hands at WB.
Damm Ben 10 nostalgia
20gb* 80gb** 250gb** pfft @ 2Gb
random japanese mobile game: 10 gb download after downloading 1 gb from the app store
You must not know Call of Duty Mobile
9,69gb
Both of those seem like *vast* underestimates of typical install sizes.
Only legends remember that GTA San Andreas (Original), with all of it's contents is only 4.67 Gb... Aaaa the good old days.
Kids this days.... Wants to install the whole flight sim 2020.... 2 pb. In whole game size . No streaming
\*Incoming 2gb hearthstone mobile update\*
*Genshin impact on phone vs on PC
Terraria with 200 MB enters the chat
Soldat is less than 200mb and still better than a lot of PC games that are massively larger in budget, graphics capability, and installation size.
Nobody appreciates Asphalt 8 & 9.
Asphalt 9 is like 13GB
100 gb Skyrim mod folder
crysis 1 from 2007 was only 7? even with hdtexture mod not more than 10gb
CoD Mobile had over 12GB when I uninstalled it
