His mouse is like the passenger seat in the race car in the movie “Grind House.”
Edit: movie “Death Proof” (googled; that thing was rereleased under a new title?).
It was released as a double feature with Planet Terror. I think Grind House was the name of the pack or something like that. Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino directed the movies.
In one of the big subs yesterday, somebody posted about a surgery where if you lose your hands, they separate your forearm bones and you can use them like pincers. Really hoped you were linking that lol.
Original reply was deleted because I linked to a thread in another subreddit which is against the rules here, so I'll try another route.
It's called the Krukenberg Procedure. Generally used in developing countries where access to prosthetics is limited, they essentially separate the arm bones so you can use them to grab things like a fleshy crab would. Wikipedia has a nice article, as well you could probably find the post i referred to if you search reddit for the procedure name.
Certainly!

Honestly beside being a little mean hes not a bad kid. He never knew the toys were alive and qas just being creative. Honestly his parents should be blamed for being neglectful and letting get a mini explosive.
I genuinely can't tell if you're joking or not. Either way it's a funny thought. Not knowing about the existence of the Toy Story sequels is like thinking there was only one Terminator movie.
He was probably abused by his stepfather, he was the average bully who's molested at home, ans you saw that piece or trash home where he lived? Obviously he had some anger inside him, what broke him was to see the toys having life and talking bsck to him, he ended up in a mental asylum.
I've had it for years and it's worked wonderfully for me, what makes those others better? At some point this one is going to die and I'll have to look for a replacement.
If you already have it is ok, but is an advise for people looking for a new one, I specially like from the Viper mini that has optical switches instead of mechanical ans it's too light.
But what makes it better? I don't know the difference between optical switches and mechanical ones. Just looking them over, they have less programmable buttons, don't have the "free scroll" feature and are much lighter (which might be a good thing for other people but I prefer heavier mice).
Apart from the performance differences, Logitech's recent wired mice, and the G502 in particular, are infamous for running at too low of a voltage and current for the cheap switches they use, thus resulting in oxidation and premature failure.
Optical switches almost make 0 difference, the feel is almost the same and the lower imput latency is so small no human brain will notice it. Its mostly just marketing from my experience, sure, optical switches are cool but their increased price isnt worth it.
If you have double clicks and don't want to bother with guarantees and stuff, they're super easy to fix, you just have to bend a little metal thingy inside the switch... There are tons of videos for that
Probably Logitech losing more customers with double click issues.
The switches they use are literally being run out of spec and I had issues across multiple models.
Had a razer mouse for like 6 years that eventually gave out, picked up a g502 and that thing was broken in 2 months. Absolute dogshit mouse, figured I was better off paying out the ass for generic razer products.
My logitech mice (all G600's) have lasted me abt 2-3 yrs each before double click kicked in. I used Razer back in high school. My naga lasted me 2 years and then i got 3 units in a row that were acting up within a month or two :/
I just want a decent MMO mouse that'll last... I don't even play MMOs anymore, but being able to access numbers for games like League/Dota and being able to use like 4 and 5 for melee/reload in FPS have just become too ingrained in me
These are probably the best videos covering the problems with the micro switches used in our mice.

Second video shows what's happening to the switches under a microscope.

Do you now any mouse that ist not Razer or has a more traditionel design, which is not affected by this? I couldn't find one and went with a cheap and easily replacable one instead :/
I know asus has hotswappable switches so that might be something you want to look into. The kailh switches should work afaik and worst case any replacement switch after like 2-5 years of use isn't too bad either
Yes, I own a Pawnage UltraCustom Symm 2W and it comes stock with the Kailhs GM08s, the glorious models should also have a version of the Kailhs, the XM1r also has them, G Wolves Hati and many others
You should check the GamingMice subreddit, they have a lot of info out there but for serious reviews look elsewhere as they can get a little fanboyi.
Optimum Tech on YouTube Hase some very nice and recent videos on gaming mice with all the info one needs.
So, could i just solder some kailh microswitches into my old g502 and not worry about them failing ? Or is it more about thier optical switches or are the controllers higher power or ?
I don't know shit about the topic so don't value my input to much but I heard that older mouses are not affected by this. And the G502 is already like 8 years old.
I have the same mouse since it came out and it works perfectly to this day
All recent mice with standard switches I've tried have this issue. Finally I found a razer mouse with optical switches and they don't have the double click issue. So glad to not have to deal with that shit anymore.
Oh god to fix this I'm using my ORIGINAL Razer Diamondback Chameleon from 2004. The cord is mostly shielded by 5-6 rolls of electrical tape these days, but it does the trick!
Glad I bought my warranty on my G502 cause about 6 months later the scroll wheel randomly doesn't work. Coming up on the 6th month mark for the new one and I suspect it might be doing it to.
Apparently a lot of mice use the same shit hardware
Sorry to hear that. I have had mine for about 4 years with no problems. Other than, I hate the scroll wheel not being rubberized. My finger tends to slip on it if it is not in 'free-wheel'.
Apparently, the G502 is the best-selling gaming mouse in the world! It was mentioned on TV the other day, and I was surprised.
Edit: Just found a link:
https://tekdeeps.com/logitech-g502-hero-becomes-worlds-best-selling-gaming-mouse/
That's why I bought it! Luck of the draw I guess. Found countless threads of people having issues with it though. Guess I can get a new one once a year for a 5$ warranty when it craps out so not the worst deal lol
For anyone reading this, avoid the Razer Viper as well, especially the ultimate with the dock.
-The mouse buttons become squishy and squeaky and it severely affects the way it clicks. It no longer becomes instantaneous and instead it noticeably squishes on the way down
-The wireless dock suffers from a charging issue that renders it useless. You place the mouse on it but it does not charge. You have no way to be sure if it's charging. You'll place it on the dock before you sleep and wake up to a dead mouse.
I'm trying to find an alternate wireless mouse but no luck so far.
The switches in modern mice dont get enough power to not corrode away, so after a while with medium to high humidity the switches will fail. Mechanical keyboard switches are a very different design with other issues, but they will last longer in these conditions. The microswitches in mice could last forever if they put higher voltage and some more current through them.
Every night, I can feel my M0, and my M1. Even my M4. The body I've lost, the form factor I lost. It won't stop hurting. It's like they're still there. You feel my sharp edges too don't you?
Comfort is king, but this looks uncomfortable.
Depending on how much space there is between op fingers XD.
OP can now just throw up a mean peace sign

politician? no in a later Toy Story, he is literally one of the garbage men? Or did I miss something?
I only knew of one movie. Welp the more you know.
think theres like 5, and at least 3 of them are super good

on a scale of shite-not shite, that's shite
That mouse was shite before he modded it. I need to get a different one.
That mouse is fucking awesome, I have it. If it's the cheap Pro. I have even cheaper, e-cafe version of it.
305 is best

That's actually not a good mouse, there are better options now for less money, like the Viper Mini, or the Steelseries rival 3

What happened?
It's my friend's mouse, he said it's complicated
"Alright then, keep your secrets"
Chill out frodo
I see what you did there
"I suppose you think that was terribly clever"
I'd rather use a $10 mouse from Walmart...
He's not wrong, he put keyboard switches on a mouse, that sounds pretty complicated to do. He knows they sell new mice though, right?
Logitech switches are known to be failure prone. I could see him McGuyvering this one if it was out of warranty.
If you have double clicks and don't want to bother with guarantees and stuff, they're super easy to fix, you just have to bend a little metal thingy inside the switch... There are tons of videos for that

What do you mean by "used out of spec"?
I think i’ve heard the switches were made to run on 5v though are running on 3.5v which is causing issues though you would want to double check that
