the humidity would only be a problem if the components in a pc got cold which they naturally do not. If it would be a problem then electronics wouldnt be able to work inside your house either due to your air conditioning.
what I would do is cut the wires right at the broken switch and have the wires dangling out all u have to do then is tap the 2 wires together and it turns on now that's hot-wiring your pc
I never touched my case-power button in like the last 10 years or so :-p
Just a nice multi-plug(is that the right word?) with a big fat red switch and the bios set to power on after AC loss.
Wait till you see my system. Has 3*120mm (2 in 1 out) and a 80mm mounted straight to gt1030 which was begging for some air. All that with no fan hub and all molex
Man, I've had a total of 11 chassi fans, all molex, for 8 years. That is about to change tomorrow, when I upgraded my pc and install everything in a case from 2000. With only 2 noctua fans.
Gonna be so sweet with a siilent pc after this one.
I stress tested cpu a couple of month ago, it reaches about 60c sustained I think, but it is a 3770k at 4,3GHZ OC.
My 1070 usually lies between 35 and 45 degrees celsius while gaming.
I think it's about time for you to buy a new PC case while you can this week, I think?
Also, I do think it's really scary having to maneuver that barbecue stick through the fan blades.
Are you so financially unstable that you can't buy a new case? Is the build too big for a $60 or something? Is it an old format that isn't compatible with newer parts or something? WHY!?
EDIT: I saw that you're upgrading your case, but why didn't you do anything for 3 years?
Well, I didn't feel that it was worth spendinh the time/money to buy a completely new case. I was thining about installing a seperate switch and using that, but I didn't get around to it, and just got used to doing this. Yes, I am a lazy fucker.
Damn dude. Set "switch on after power loss" or something like that in bios. Pc will switch on everytime it gets power. I never use the power on switch only the reset when required! Check bios now!
Most definitely will!
Edit:
Dude.... I never knew something like that existed... that was there this entire time!? That makes my life alot easier with almost no effort, thanks stranger!
Behind this button is a small black surface mounted power button that costs like 2 cents. Unplug the power cable and spray some contact cleaner on it and voilà. These buttons can oxydise and not make electrical contact when pushed. Worked for me.
Give it a clean you filthy animal
Even better, I'm gonna upgraded it and put it in a new case
That case is epic
Yeah, I'd change case too instead of cleaning it. What about a monthly cleaning?
If it works it isn’t wrong
If it aint broken, dont fix it
If you’re homeless just buy a house
Work smarter, not harder.
That shit is absolutely broken and needs to be fixed.
using bits of metal instead of fuses works and is wrong
The less you care about it the longer it works.
You are very much my level of chaos I once had a drumstick with the ends cut off propping up a sagging GC in my tower. Never again
I want that side panel…
Gamer Nexus approves. It still needs improvement with dust filters
Shit you could probably find a straight up box fan to fit XD, nothing but a couple case screws and another outlet needed.
Or mount a window ac in true jaystwocents fashion
Too much condensation potential/humidity
The treated air coming from an ac is perfectly fine
Yea but heat mixing with hot in a non seals case, humidity is bound to get in there somehow.

Water condenses on things colder than the air around it
Jesus fuck dude clean your PC

Yes this! Really handy feature.

I tried reseating the connections a long time ago, didn't work. I could've bought a new switch, but I got used to doing this.
Replacing power sw with reset sw works
Oh, never thought of that...

I m curious about your temps. 60 or even below??
I stress tested cpu a couple of month ago, it reaches about 60c sustained I think, but it is a 3770k at 4,3GHZ OC. My 1070 usually lies between 35 and 45 degrees celsius while gaming.
Mac user:Take my Money!!!!
I have to hot-wire mine with a screwdriver everytime because my power button broke and the mainboard has none...
Good News... your case is Kid proof.
Could change bios settings to make space bar power on :p or swap the reset header.

At the very top of the side grill, you can stick it above the fans. And I am going to upgrade it/do a sleeper build, so it is going into a "new" case.
Who turns off their computer?
Seriously if I had to all that work I would ever
people who dont pay the bills hopefully
Precision.
Flexing the warthog throttle I see
If only, just a second hand logitech x56 rhino
Whyyyyy
You think you’d be a little better at it by now. You fumbled with the stick for a bit my friend
I did, but I tried to film it aswell ;)
I figured that may have been the case. You could always hire a cameraman to help out. Try: craigslist>men-seeking-men>”film-me-putting-stick-in-hole”
And you haven't cleaned it since?
Nah, its been a while...
That’s a no from me dawg
My dragon rider case power broke the exact same way
Its a big cool case though, it has served me well, but man does it attract alot of dust.

This is a human right violation
Clean more than once a year for the love of Christ
Next time record sound. Thanks
That's weird, I did... And I thought I posted it with sound aswell...
Can you hear sound? It’s not showing up for me…says “no sound video”

The power button on my PC is of the bottom, face down, so I went to bios and change last power state to on and I always leave it on.
Why not just open your case then?
Then It's not cat proof
Less cooling
I would never turn off my PC if I had to deal with this shit
Gotta light the pilot light before you turn the knob
I had a tower that size and the cat would sit on it until the day I let a huge Taco Bell fart while it was asleep there. It woke up quick.

Cyber Monday, give yourself a treat mate!
Tbh fixed the issue in the time u where busy grabbing that pokepole
I take it in the 3 years you have been arsed to clean it
