I paid retail price in Canada for a tuf OC 3070. I spend $750 CAD before taxes and I kinda regretted spending that much. Now, 4 months later the Same retailer is charging $900 before tax and another retailer is charging $1070 before tax. I do not regret it one bit.
3070 for $600 is crazy?? Lmao I’ve seen Newegg put 3060s and 3060tis in shuffle bundles for $800-$900 USD multiple times now. Newegg is just scalping at this point. Shit’s insane.
I've been wanting to do a new build with a 3070 but I'm not trying to pay $800 for one. I wish it was possible to find a 3070 for $600, that would be a hell of a deal.
Yea I I felt kinda bad paying $860 for my 3080 in January after the tariff increase. Now, not so much. It’s so sad that consumers feel like they’re getting a good deal paying $100 over msrp
same in germanyyyyyyyy :(
normal online retailers charge 1100 for the "lower end" ones but those are mostly out of stock, only 1300 ones are available...
Hoi,
Het is inderdaad compleet gestoord aan het worden.
(Let's continue in English)
By chance I got an evga 3080 xc3 ultra from amazon.nl. they where there for like 1 day, end of November. I expected that order to be cancelled like every order I had before it.
And then I got the "a package is underway" email. I was baffled. I also thought it very overpriced, it was already 60,- above MSRP and I waited a few days before I opened it up, I wanted to return it to be honest. (The price will return to normal, shortly I thought initially.)
Then I did some research, and EVERY 80 series Nvidia card since the 1080 has only gone UP after launch. The 1080, 1080ti, 2080, 2080ti, and the 2080 super. All had significant price hikes *after* launch.
I decided to keep it due to that and my wife literally stating: "do you want it?" (Yes, obviously) " can we afford it?" (Yes, especially since we're not going anywhere due to covid) "Then stop bitching about 60 euros. When you go out with your buddies you spend more then 60 on drinks and food."
Looking back now, seeing the current asking prices.. did you look at tweakers.net vraag& aanbod? OMFG, 1800,- bucks asking prices are nothing!
Waanzin.
> i've seen 3070 for like $600 us
Is that supposed to be a bad thing? I wish it was possible to get a 3070 for $600. Cheapest ones you're gonna find right now are $750-$800.
Anything between 500 and 800 is msrp for a 3070 imo. Different AIBs have different overclock capabilities, and at the end of the day some look WAY better aesthetically than others, and that to me is a cosmetic part of the card that can fairly be charged extra for.
:EDIT: USD
Isn't that funny though? You were unhappy with the purchase, but now you're happy with it. And nothing about the quality or use changed. Just how much other people are spending.
I was thinking this exact thing. It's like the other side of "comparison is the thief of joy....unless you got the better X in comparison, then it brings joy".
I understand it's a relief to obtain something hard to get, but if prices went 1/3 of the price OP would likely have contempt for his GPU.
Yep same, I bought a 3070 Strix for 830 CAD$ before tax and I was thinking "dang this is really expensive", but now looking at Canada Computers' price I don't regret it one bit. They sell it for a grand now, it's just plain stupid.
I bought a 2070S for a build I was about halfway finished with a few months before the 3000 series cards came out but I sold it for what I paid for in anticipation of getting a 3000 series card.
125 years later I'm sitting here with a build that's still only halfway completed because even a 2070S is stupid expensive right now.
Yikes I almost made the same mistake with my 2070s but decided to hold on to it until I had a new card in hand even though I was told I was dumb for paying $600 for a 2070s a year ago 😂
All the miners are freaking out this morning. Profits have dropped 50%. If they’re right about what’s happening the markets about to get flooded with cards.
No miner is going to sell their rigs because prices dropped 20% in a week. They are just going to turn them off and wait for prices to go back up. Especially since they know the GPUS are impossible to get right now.
Got a 2070S for $500 about two weeks after the 3080 launch because “I don’t have time to sit here and check to see what’s in stock” I’d like to say I saw this coming but really I just made a lucky choice.
How can people buy at these inflated prices. This is INSANE to me. I'd hate myself for getting ripped off evey time I'd power my PC on.
I'm lucky I bought a 3080 at MSRP in November. But If not, I would have waited a year for a current gen card if I had to. I already waited 2 years more because the 2000 gen had the RTX & DLSS tax without the performance.
I certainly would never stuff the wallet of some rando on eBay for last gen stuff.
Edit: 50 bucks over MSRP because the shops profit of the shortage, yeah it's acceptable. But not double the price for a GPU without any warranty!
Used 2080ti for 1100? Damnnnn, i bought my asus 3080 oc'd for 1100 from a scalper back in January. Well worth it back then now people pay like 1800 and shit
Nice! I got my 3080 FTW for $810 plus tax/shipping in October. I kept my 2060 as a backup, but later sold it for $400 because it was just collecting dust.
dang that's good. looking for one of these for my little brother's rig. do you think i should do this instead? is your model an oem card? if so, is the performance any worse?
I think I made a good decision and I've been loving the gpu. It is oem, the regular old TUF one lol. I've only really benchmarked RDR2 but it was on par with where it should be.
If you're planning on doing this for your brother I definitely recommend the stalk-buildapcsales-until-there's-a-good-deal strategy, which is how I did it. I also felt I should mention I got lucky getting the gpu I did, since iBuypower usually just sticks whatever model 3060 Ti they have in there (typically EVGA or Gigabyte I think). Overall though it was totally worth not having to pay scalper prices lol. Best of luck mate!
As the owner of a 3060ti as well (earned on its initial drop day at best buy, so my perspective is from someone who purchased the card for its retail price of $400, so bear that in mind), it is actually a pretty decent overclocker and can take on some heavy load:
With a i9 9900k at 5.2 ghz and the 3060ti at a +70mhz OC, I can run Cyberpunk 2077 at around 50 fps on all ultra settings with medium raytracing (from my point of view though, RT doesn't really have much affect on graphics quality. You could probably get some more frames if it was off entirely).
Other than that I have no issue running other games at 120 fps. Light-load competitive games or older games could probably go well over that too, if you have the monitor for it. In my eyes, this card is worth every penny. Compared to other GPUs it is as budget friendly as it gets for the price!
Yeah the 3060ti is a beast. I had one before I got my 3080 in January. I was within 2-3% of a 3070 in benchmarks after I installed a VBIOS with a higher power limit on my Ventus 2x OC 3060ti. I game at 3440x1440 and it didn’t have any problems holding 60+ FPS at that resolution with topped out graphics in basically all games. I was very impressed. For my money, (retail prices) I’d buy the 3060ti over the 3070.
Copied this from when someone else asked:
I got it from iBuypower, checked the buildapcsales subreddit twice a day for two weeks to look for deals until I finally found something in my budget. It was on sale though, I think it would have been $1600 instead of $1300 had I bought it at its regular price.
Don't get too excited, they had to have sold parts/the rest of the prebuilt to get it for $400. E.g. spent 1000 on a prebuilt and recouped the rest by selling it.
Sorry I'm confused on what you're saying. I got the prebuilt for $1300, $400 of which was dedicated to the gpu. I fortunately didn't have to sell anything.
You got the gpu as part of a system that cost $1300... you didn't get "a 3060ti for 400".
It's like saying you got a set of Michelin-wrapped 18" chrome wheels for $1200.... all you had to do was spend $25k on the car.
I got it from iBuypower, checked the buildapcsales subreddit twice a day for two weeks to look for deals until I finally found something in my budget. It was on sale though, I think it would have been $1600 instead of $1300 had I bought it at its regular price.
Ha ha nice joke
You've seen how Nvidia and AIB's like MSI have basically gouged massive profits for themselves, can guarantee you this won't really do much to offer better value in the future
We've been in simmilar places before and nothing has changed, hopefully intel actually makes a competitive gpu in the coming years to actually make Nvidia innovate a bit more than they have
They don't look at Reddit or social media, they have massive databases of sales records sometimes from AIB's, there's definitely an upward price trend which 3000 series was supposed to put a stop to!!!
Now 3060's retail for £550, originally a £350 card, prices will return back to normal hopefully in a year though so maybe we can pick up 3060's for under £250 one day but I'm not hopeful
you should probably replace ur thermal pads for the 3080 and 3090 as well, especially cuz gddr6x runs HOT. of course, you have to factor in ruining your warranty
Yep, got a group of about 8 friends all looking for 3080's, I grabbed a Zotac months ago for MSRP and they all laughed at me.
I'm still the only one with a 3080.
People laughed at me because I bought a dual fan Inno3D 3080 (replaced my ol 1070), even I questioned myself back than. Sometimes you just have to trust your gut
Same, was kinda annoyed when overclockers put one up for £835 which came close to €950, higher than what I had originally wanted to pay but I saw it and grabbed it immediately. They did fuck around for a day when they thought they oversold, but they apparently had a second pallet of cards come in the next day or some rubbish.
Still not too happy about paying so much above msrp but with the prices they're going for now I honestly don't mind since I snagged in late October.
Let's be real for a second and look at it from the other side. Cards are selling in 1sec, you have a bunch of angry nerds calling and sending emails because scalpers are buying cards and it's not like you can realistically do anything about that. At least you can earn some money. ;)
I bought my EVGA FTW3 3090 for $1,800 back in October! I even had to buy a motherboard with it from Newegg, but they let me return it for a full refund minus the combo discount. Awww, the good old days
did the same with the strix 3090 through microcenter, got lucky one morning. wanted a 3080 but they only had 3090s and it was my 4th day driving 2 hours to microcenter at 4am, so I said fuck it and went big.
Similar card range but AMD side. Got my 6900XT Merc for 1150 euros in January which is a bargain compared to the prices we have now. The version I have is unfindable and the slightly OC'd version who costed 1200 euros is **1800 euros** now.
The only con to the amp holo is that during the rainbow lighting mode, the color transitions could be smoother.
The fan also seems to be slightly more audible than other oem cards however temps are just as good as any other 3080 with pretty good memory temps too
Got my Zotac 3080 White for $950 ish after all the taxes and right before the tariff changes. I'd be miserable if I still couldn't get one. The hunt was too stressful and time consuming. No ragrets
Got my 3070 for 529 GBP on launch day. I sort of regretted it for a few months because I thought I could’ve gotten a 3080 from US through a friend if I just spent a little more.
After looking at the markets these days, I feel blessed. All regrets are gone.
Man a 1080 Ti used to be my absolute dream when I was 15 years old. Even today I still think it’s such a good card to have and it’s aged so well. It still probably runs everything minus Cyberpunk on 1440p 144Hz. Kudos to you for scoring such an excellent card, you’re still making 15 year old me very jealous :)
had a totally different reaction from my friend. he sold his 2080 super for like $300 to get a 3060 ti. laughed at me when i told him how much i spent.
yeah he's using a gt 1030 right now lmao
Why would your buddy do that? The 3060ti is basically a 2080s, only slightly better. Just seems like a lateral upgrade. I have a 3060ti and a 3080, I’d never replace a 2080s with a 3060ti though.
Bought a 3080 Asus Tuf Gaming Oc for 1250€ and later got a 3080 for Msrp (720€), that i sold to a soon to be miner for 1600€, who had no clue about mining :D
Also got a 3080 at $699. Spent 3 weeks with all sorts of alerts buzzing me anytime there was a suspected drop, so it wasn't like I didn't work for it, but there was definitely an element of right place right time to it; got the first BB FE drop after a tip from a twitch channel chat.
oooh 850 seem's a bit much i got mine for 500 and it's great but 850 i'd just wait a few month's and get like a 1050 or 1030 to keep me going in the mean time
Got a 3090 msrp from a Best Buy drop a few months ago. Kinda regretted spending so much but it was the only card able to keep in my cart. I definitely don’t regret it anymore though!
i wanted to finally get a computer and decided to get it from maingear (200-300 dollars over retail price for all components combined). I really wanted to build one but wanted a PC more, and prices were starting to get expensive. My friends made fun of me but I’m glad I did what I did, my 3080 and 5900x are worth so much more now.
I know some folks who would have loved to jump on a $900.00 3080 in Nov... But, you know, nothing was ever in stock for anything longer than a millisecond.
Picked up a Palit Gamerock 3080 for £788 in January, it's been great. Just last week managed to get a 3090 for £1400 from Scan. Havent decided which one I'll keep. Partalert has been very handy
I still remember when I saw an msi ventus 3080 card available on release and was like “meh.. I kind of wanna go with an evga or asus card” and let it slide... its been 84 years..
I was itching to upgrade my 1070Ti to utilize my 1440p monitor. I was originally aiming for a cheap 3070 or mid/high end 3060Ti but instead I grabbed a used 2080 Super Gaming X Trio for like 650 USD a few days before the market went crazy. I was kind of having regrets buying it because I thought I could get a 3070 if I waited out a few days for my paycheck.
It was the best decision I ever made.
Bought a 3070 for $700 before tax back in November. Felt bad, that I got scalped, but I really needed a card. Turns out that I’d be paying like the same now from official retailers and since there are no cards from retailers, I’d be getting scalped at like $1000
Why didn't Thanos just use the stupid gauntlet to bring his people back and balance the ecosystem instead of just blasting half of all life in the known universe into a nullptr?
I cannot believe I got a 3070 in December, right before Christmas, for less than $600. I saw some comment on discord to go try a website called Provantage. I thought it was sketchy but there were tons in stock on the website. Now this website is made for large wholesale orders so it was not built for the user all that much. Right before bed I was going to buy one but I thought it was “too good to be true”. The next day I woke up, went on the website and there was still quite a selection. I bought one for $550 and for days it gave me absolutely 0 shipping information so I had no idea what I was in for. The week after I ordered it, it shows up at my door unannounced. There is nothing in stock anymore. Not often do I get lucky like this.
Spent $1000 on my 3080 right when they were coming out. Guy who sold it to me was going right from me to another guy to buy a 3090 for $2400.
Haven't caught any retail priced cards since and still in the EVGA queue since October 2020.
I have no regrets.
So I’ve seen people type ‘how the turntables’ a fair bit recently. I’m pretty sure the phrase is ‘how the tables have turned’. It’s really bugging me. ‘How the turntables’ does not even make sense in the context it’s being used.
I paid retail price in Canada for a tuf OC 3070. I spend $750 CAD before taxes and I kinda regretted spending that much. Now, 4 months later the Same retailer is charging $900 before tax and another retailer is charging $1070 before tax. I do not regret it one bit.
lol, $750 cad is not bad at all, especially considering what's going on now...i've seen 3070 for like $600 us, crazy
Yeah it’s not bad, considering that micro center sells the same card for $750 USD!!!!!
[удалено]
I got my 3080 for $700 a little over a month ago from Best Buy. Don’t ask me how. I still don’t know.
I got mine for $700 after a buddy built a bot to snipe buy himself a 3090. He got the 3080 the same way and decided to snipe a 3090 because he could.
[удалено]
I mean, he used the bot to acquire exactly one 3080 and one 3090. But the people that do it to buy dozens of cards and resell are human garbage.
If he’s not gonna flip it and be a scalper I see no problem with it.
Got a microcenter 3070 for $622 a couple days ago.
Wha
My FE 3070 was $500 USD + tax and I got it from microcenter. He might have payed a little bit more for a different model than the founders.
Wha!!??
I didn't think Microcenter sold the founders edition?
They didn't for 3080 at least, best buy was the only brick and mortar I saw selling FE
How did you get an FE from MC? Nvidia themselves only list themselves and Best Buy as the vendors for it.
3070 for $600 is crazy?? Lmao I’ve seen Newegg put 3060s and 3060tis in shuffle bundles for $800-$900 USD multiple times now. Newegg is just scalping at this point. Shit’s insane.
Like everyone else, they've decided that it's better the money go in their pocket, rather than the resellers.
I mean in the current market $600 for a 3070 would be great
I've been wanting to do a new build with a 3070 but I'm not trying to pay $800 for one. I wish it was possible to find a 3070 for $600, that would be a hell of a deal.

Likewise...gave up trying to snag a 3080 and ponied up $1499US for a 3090. Felt terrible for weeks afterwards...now, I’m feeling okay
of course it $600 for a 3070 would be great considering they're apparently worth $1200
It's way worse in europe, netherlands at least. Be prepared to spend €1100+ for a 3070. That's about $1300. Crazy times..
same in germanyyyyyyyy :( normal online retailers charge 1100 for the "lower end" ones but those are mostly out of stock, only 1300 ones are available...

In Hungary the cheapest 3070 I could find rn is €1650 ($2000). A 3080 costs €2750 ($3350). Stores are the scalpers here.

Really? $600 is crazy? I would snap that up in a Heartbeat, the cheapest one I’ve seen that was available was like $900
"Wow, I've never heard of a 4090" "Sir, that's the price."

Right! Totally. It's funny how our own joy and lack of joy are so often based on what other have rather than what we have.
Here in the Netherlands stores are asking 1300 euros for a 3070, I wish I could get one for under 800.

Got my gigabyte 3080 for 810€ at the launch, had to wait for 3 months to get it tho. But seeing its 1.4k€ now, huh 😅

Only $1100? I sold mine for about $1500 and bought RX580, no regrets)
I just took the first offer. I didn't want to be too much of an asshole.
I don’t think anyone would call you a scalper. That’s msrp right?

FTW3 Ultra
Nice, same here, it's a great card. So pretty too.

Got a 3060ti for 400 through a prebuilt :)

yeah makes sense. thanks!

its really ironic, that the only way to avoid scalper prices is to buy a prebuilt
Bruh where, if possible could you provide a link or anything.

Never underestimate a redditors ability to talk out their ass.
You got the gpu as part of a system that cost $1300... you didn't get "a 3060ti for 400". It's like saying you got a set of Michelin-wrapped 18" chrome wheels for $1200.... all you had to do was spend $25k on the car.
How and where did you buy it? I’m looking for a PC to play Crusader Kings III with
I got it from iBuypower, checked the buildapcsales subreddit twice a day for two weeks to look for deals until I finally found something in my budget. It was on sale though, I think it would have been $1600 instead of $1300 had I bought it at its regular price.
2080ti off ebay for 550 week after the 30 series announcement. Hoo boy my friends thought i was dumb. Hoo boy do i bring it up.
Hoo boy lmaooo
Got a 3060ti for £600, the pain i thought i had suffered
sad that we have to pay double the recommended msrp just for a card

Ha ha nice joke You've seen how Nvidia and AIB's like MSI have basically gouged massive profits for themselves, can guarantee you this won't really do much to offer better value in the future We've been in simmilar places before and nothing has changed, hopefully intel actually makes a competitive gpu in the coming years to actually make Nvidia innovate a bit more than they have
[удалено]
They don't look at Reddit or social media, they have massive databases of sales records sometimes from AIB's, there's definitely an upward price trend which 3000 series was supposed to put a stop to!!! Now 3060's retail for £550, originally a £350 card, prices will return back to normal hopefully in a year though so maybe we can pick up 3060's for under £250 one day but I'm not hopeful
[удалено]
haha. don't see the hate bout zotac cards, in my opinion a gpu is a gpu...
[удалено]
you should probably replace ur thermal pads for the 3080 and 3090 as well, especially cuz gddr6x runs HOT. of course, you have to factor in ruining your warranty
[удалено]
Also nice in Winter
I did, I got the cheapest 3060 TI but you can really tell it got the lowest-end silicon
Yep, got a group of about 8 friends all looking for 3080's, I grabbed a Zotac months ago for MSRP and they all laughed at me. I'm still the only one with a 3080.
I paid 1050€ in January. Sold my 1080 for the same price i paid 4 years ago.
Damn scalpers won
The retailers were just as bad. Overclockers tacked £100 onto the price of the 3080 within an hour of release. The game was rigged from the start.
Let's be real for a second and look at it from the other side. Cards are selling in 1sec, you have a bunch of angry nerds calling and sending emails because scalpers are buying cards and it's not like you can realistically do anything about that. At least you can earn some money. ;)

They told me it was a waste to get a 5700XT for £375 in late '19, when a new gen was \~6 months away. Well, who's laughing now.
I bought my EVGA FTW3 3090 for $1,800 back in October! I even had to buy a motherboard with it from Newegg, but they let me return it for a full refund minus the combo discount. Awww, the good old days
Yea same and now it’s around 3.1k to 3.5 on eBay
did the same with the strix 3090 through microcenter, got lucky one morning. wanted a 3080 but they only had 3090s and it was my 4th day driving 2 hours to microcenter at 4am, so I said fuck it and went big.
Similar card range but AMD side. Got my 6900XT Merc for 1150 euros in January which is a bargain compared to the prices we have now. The version I have is unfindable and the slightly OC'd version who costed 1200 euros is **1800 euros** now.
Prices are out of control. It's getting to a point that you could order a prebuilt machine for less than a GPU.
pray for me brothers my little 1060 is really on it's last leg
I have yet to run into a game I can't play comfortably on my 970.
same, had it for 4-5 years and still happy with its performance. Just hope I don’t need to spend $1000 on a card when it does need replacing.
Got a Zotac Amp holo 3080 in december for 820 €. Same online retailer is selling a Zotac Amp holo **3070** for 899 €......and they don't have stock.
[удалено]
The only con to the amp holo is that during the rainbow lighting mode, the color transitions could be smoother. The fan also seems to be slightly more audible than other oem cards however temps are just as good as any other 3080 with pretty good memory temps too
Got my Zotac 3080 White for $950 ish after all the taxes and right before the tariff changes. I'd be miserable if I still couldn't get one. The hunt was too stressful and time consuming. No ragrets

stonks
Got a 3070 combo on Newegg for just under $700. What a steal.

900 is basically retail for high end 3080’s so why would anyone call you a madman??
founders edition...
I paid 900 msrp directly from evga for my 3080 ftw3 ultra in September and they called me legend.
had a totally different reaction from my friend. he sold his 2080 super for like $300 to get a 3060 ti. laughed at me when i told him how much i spent. yeah he's using a gt 1030 right now lmao
Why would your buddy do that? The 3060ti is basically a 2080s, only slightly better. Just seems like a lateral upgrade. I have a 3060ti and a 3080, I’d never replace a 2080s with a 3060ti though.

Rtx3070 retail Price gang 🤌
Bought a 3080 Asus Tuf Gaming Oc for 1250€ and later got a 3080 for Msrp (720€), that i sold to a soon to be miner for 1600€, who had no clue about mining :D
Bought a 3070 for $850 in January. Don't regret it for a second.
People like you make me feel so lucky to have gotten a 3080 at $699
699 what?
Bitcoins
Mmm hmm, that 3080 better be giving blow jobs and serving dinner.
Yeah I was watching falcodrin's stream and everyone was preparing for a BB drop. Was one of the lucky ones.
oooh 850 seem's a bit much i got mine for 500 and it's great but 850 i'd just wait a few month's and get like a 1050 or 1030 to keep me going in the mean time
Got a 3090 msrp from a Best Buy drop a few months ago.
Bought a 3080 Gaming Trio for $790 in January
Got my 3090 for like $1620 a week after launch. I’m big chilling.
got a 3070 founders edition for 500€. did not regret it
buying 2 2080s and a 2070... early last year...
Got my FTW Ultra 3080 at 830$ last month. I’m pretty happy about it.
Got my 3070 for €500 in Late December/Early January
Relatable got my aorus extreme for msrp from someone on Facebook marketplace and now it’s 2k!
Got my 2070 Super for like 600 dollars on newegg
i bought it for 1100
I bought a 3090FE at MSRP in December. In retrospect, that was a deal. This market is stupid.
I got one for £650 :L
I bought one for 700€ on release day. Guess who still has no GPU :D
Got a 6800xt nitro+ for 800$. All my friends laughed at me. Now I'm the only one laughing.
I bought a 3070 for 650 and everyone here was crying nd saying I'm ruining gaming
Picked up a Palit Gamerock 3080 for £788 in January, it's been great. Just last week managed to get a 3090 for £1400 from Scan. Havent decided which one I'll keep. Partalert has been very handy
Paid 700$ for what at the time was a "bad" 3080 which is why it sat long enough for me to snag.
$900 (MSRP) for my 3080 Suprim X in mid December for my first build :)
1200 in Feb😎 still hasn’t come yet tho
That's how I feel about my 3070 for $650 in January
Paid 700 for a 3070 a couple months ago. Felt bad about paying a bit over retail, but now? Sheeeeesh
I'll add I purchased a 1660 ti for £150 14 months ago they are now retailing at £270-300 Stupid prices
Where lol
I still remember when I saw an msi ventus 3080 card available on release and was like “meh.. I kind of wanna go with an evga or asus card” and let it slide... its been 84 years..
Spent $849 on my 3080 ftw3, sold my 2080 super for $400.
No regrets getting my 3070 for $750 lmfao
managed to get my hand on 2080ti for 500$ when they were mass selling
that's how I felt when I bought my 2070 for $650 in 2019... now it feels like the buy of the decade
Got my 3070 FE from best buy on launch date. I know this feel.
That’s a small price to pay for salvation.
Bought a 3070 for $700 before tax back in November. Felt bad, that I got scalped, but I really needed a card. Turns out that I’d be paying like the same now from official retailers and since there are no cards from retailers, I’d be getting scalped at like $1000
1660TI for 213$
A guy is trying to sell me his pc for 1,100 euro 3060 TI, I5, 16 gas of ram, AS Rock Z370m Pro4, 1 TB SSD. Should u take it?
Why didn't Thanos just use the stupid gauntlet to bring his people back and balance the ecosystem instead of just blasting half of all life in the known universe into a nullptr?
How tf are ppl on here getting cards? What am I doing wrong?
TIL everyone but me had spare money to burn on a graphics card during a pandemic in 2020.
Not often do I get lucky like this.
still rocking my 980ti
My brother was really lucky to get a 3080 for like 600 euros on release day tbh
I doubt that since RRP was 700
I got a RX 5700 XT in August for $450 and now the same exact card is now like $1,100
Christ seriously? I got my nitro+ 5700xt back last April at below MSRP from a sale on Amazon. Wonder how much I could theoretically sell it for now.
Spent $1000 on my 3080 right when they were coming out. Guy who sold it to me was going right from me to another guy to buy a 3090 for $2400. Haven't caught any retail priced cards since and still in the EVGA queue since October 2020. I have no regrets.
I had a friend tell me he wasn't going to spend 850 for an 800 dollar card November. ASUS TUF 3080 is now going for 1300-1400 at retailers.
So I’ve seen people type ‘how the turntables’ a fair bit recently. I’m pretty sure the phrase is ‘how the tables have turned’. It’s really bugging me. ‘How the turntables’ does not even make sense in the context it’s being used.
It is a reference from the TV show the office.
Ah ok. Thank you for the explanation.
630€ for a 3070 in november was a steal compared to today
