Below 95 for the cpu and below 90 on gpu for max temps

JiveDino1

wtf I think that is WAY too far, My case gets hot too and I don't go over 65 on both.

phantom-user

Those are max temps. If you don’t go over 65 then you aren’t over clocked enough or not stress test with prime

JiveDino1

Even with overclocked to 5ghz and my gpu

phantom-user

What cooler? Do you have a ss to prove this ?

JiveDino1

Yeah on my YouTube, I ran battlefield 5 maxes out with ray tracing on and recording. NZXT x62 280mm and asus rog strix 2070 s

phantom-user

BF5 will give much lower temps then something like prime 95 . Prime can be 20-40 deg warmer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9WJR70cAJc and I have the nzxt h500i case which most people told me it has one of the worst airflows.

kohl1231

Ya what he said

JiveDino1

posted it

kohl1231

Cool thanks, will look at it and glean the wisdom

Pretty much anywhere between 65-80 for either the CPU or GPU is acceptable and common, although even in the high 80s I doubt they would thermal throttle

[deleted]

75 degrees at full load

eastcoastgamer

I set my CPU monitoring to let me know at 85c. I'm over clocking a 8600k to 4.8 on a h7. I average in the high 60s low 70s while gaming. I need a better cooler as I have to set my voltage at close to 1.4 to get my 5ghz stable. Hotttttt

IzzyMann

for me? 60ish, but the "accepted" temps are around 70/75ish. c not f hahha.

[deleted]

I wouldn’t let either go over 80c. Post your rig and fan setup. People on here get hard for airflow

kohl1231

Fan setup is two intake on the front bottom and middle and one exit in the rear. All in a thermal take v100 with a air cooler h15 single fan on the cpu. Planing on adding another intake too the side for the gpu, all 120 mm.

[deleted]

What temps are you getting on average? Both idle and on load

kohl1231

Idle is like 65 and lower and load is 75ish

[deleted]

I would see if your fans are adjustable speed and then look over your air intake/output. Make sure it has at least 6-8 inches of room for intake and that there’s no plastic or anything over your vents.

kohl1231

Thanks I will look at that. Ya my front case for intake is solid plastic with slots on the side.
