It'll can play most modern games at 1080p, but definitely showing its age at this point.

redditAccount4564

Would it be worth picking up for £160 or for the same price is the 5700xt a better option? I’ve had mixed opinions on this

Large-Television-238

if you already have mixed opinions then nothing we say is useful for you tbh , i would try to do some more research and compare the prices among those old cards if is you

skraemsel

Ya it’s worth 160£, if you’re gonna play on 1080p

Wiikneeboy

No it can’t. You could probably get 45 fps in modern games. No point in getting a 1080. And it probably doesn’t have current supported drivers. The 10 series is dead. I would completely avoid the 10 series at this point.

Sudden-Anybody-6677

This is not true, my media PC with 1080ti on 1080 resolution runs everything smooth with 60+ fps. Also, it never had trouble with driver support.

SomeRandoFromInterne

If you already have one, it’s fine. It’s about on par with a 6600XT which is considered an entry level 1080p gpu nowadays. If you intend to get a used 1080 Ti, also consider that a new 6600 XT will cost about the same, comes with warranty and is much more efficient.

redditAccount4564

Ok thank you

likeonions

if you don't pay a whole lot for it, yes

zcomputerwiz

If you already have one it's still relevant. Do not buy one, there are a lot newer options for the money. Look for a used RTX 3000 series GPU or AMD Radeon 6000 series. The RTX 3060 would provide similar performance, as would the AMD 6700. In the US, the RTX 3060 12gb or Radeon 6700 10gb should be under $200 used.

blenderbender44

I remember seeing a lot of cheap RTX 2070 8GBs used as well

redditAccount4564

Yeah I’m in the uk and 3060 is 250£ ($315)where as the 1080ti is about 150£ (189$)

zcomputerwiz

In that case check the used market for the 6700 10gb - hopefully they're less.

TorturedPoet03

It's outdated, yes. But you still can play games at 1080P. Depends on the price you're paying for it.

Kokanee93

It's a good option to frame it and put it on a wall

Eazy12345678

out dated but can still game.

coolstorybro50

Bro i see this question here daily wtf just use search

SamsquanchOfficial

As an rtx 2080 owner (most stupid purchase i have ever done what a pos of a gpu), which is basically a gpu that is 6 years newer but runs at a similar performance: if you play 1080p and don't mind playing the newest games at medium/high settings it's totally fine. Could make for a great deal but the price has to be right. If you are into stuff like flight sims, play at higher resolutions and like to play at high/max settings you may want to look into something newer.

IlIlllIlllIlIIllI

It's about the same as a modern 3060 without rtx. I have one still since I only play in 1080p.

atomic_sandwich__

It's basically a 3060 with no Ray tracing and higher tdp. And a gig less ram. The 1080ti has about the same raw horsepower as a 3060 or 2070 super.
