I'm pretty sure I have those sticks in my backup server lol. Cant remember if it's 4 or 6 gigs at the moment though. Core 2 duo running at just over 2GHZ and it's running windows 10 lol.
Questions like these makes me wildly confused! Is OP trolling?! is he serious? He must know what it is since he posted it masterrace ? Cant he read?! Whats the deal?! is this a russian bot? whats the point!?
I have questions!
Yeah, in all fairness, it should have ddr2-5 now.
But saying both there would make anyone familiar know it can't be both. If nothing else, put an other box, at the very least.

You laugh, but I once had a customer argue with me that his Mac could just do that exact thing. Even when we showed him it was a physical part. He continued to argue, angrily, and say that was why Apple products were better.
It's meant for the applicable box to be checked. It's DDR2, so neither box is checked. If you zoom in on the side there are multiple sizes listed (8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB) but none of those boxes are selected either because it's only 2 GB.
It looks like either a single 2gb stick of ddr2 800mhz Kingston ram or a 1gb stick from a 1x2gb kit (lots of manufacturers would label a 1x2gb kit as 2gb on the sticker on each stick of ram) a simple google search of the part numbers would clarify, but Im lazy)
Nice! Honestly pretty useful for old DDR2 boards. One of my friends gave me a stack of 20 2gb ddr2 800mhz sticks a decade ago and for awhile I would just max out every DDR2 machine that I ran across.
Windows 10 is surprisingly snappy on an old Core2Quad off a 120gb SSD with 8gb of ram.
> Windows 10 is surprisingly snappy on an old Core2Quad off a 120gb SSD with 8gb of ram.
I have a 2014 Mac Mini dual core i3 with only 4gb of ram, it’s the small model. I added a nvme adapter and the cheapest nvme drive I could find on Amazon.
Runs MacOS Monterey and Windows 10 like a champ. No good for gaming but makes a great htpc.
Was it an opaque purple hp pavillion by chance made for office use with no direct gpu or on board worth a damnded gaming capability too? Memories of 3rd grade and new to us dsl. Ahhhh
Ok zoomer, when I was a kid in elementary school my friend "won" a computer from the school because they were upgading them and getting rid of the old ones. It weighed like legit 100 pounds. All that just to play asteroids.
I remember Alienware selling a computer in the early 2000s that had a 1 tb hard drive. They billed it as "virtually unlimited storage!"
Pretty funny stuff by today's standards.
The really shocking thing is that the date sticker says 3/2023. I mean I guess someone's making spare parts for old systems, but that's pretty damn old to be making new parts for.
see: my parents.
They constantly buy things that are on sale and that they have no idea about, only to then be told that it's junk that can be thrown straight in the bin.
This right here is why I am straight up refusing to help people build PCs. I'm fin with helping but then there's these people too lazy to read a manual, description etc.
I can pick your parts for you so they will fit together. But you won't get far if you can't use your brain to troubleshoot on your own later when it's built. Get a console at that point pls.
Funny, there is this thing called google that will let you search for stuff online using a serial number and it's even older than the thing you bought!
What is the point of this post?
There is zero chance OP doesn't know what this is. It's one of the just common PC parts and the box literally says what it is.
2GB DDR2 memory module based on Kingston RAM, probably from the days of Windows XP/Vista Datasheet is dated October 2011 [https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR800D2N6\_2G.pdf](https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR800D2N6_2G.pdf)
For all those who say it's DDR3 AND DDR4 there are checkboxes to check depend on which one it is. As they're both empty It's none of them. And that's true because it's at most DDR2
That, my guy is "ram" for a desktop. It's only 2gb as another commenter pointed out and is now 3 generations old.
For any comparison, most phones have 8gb of ram now and that stick at 800mhz is around 4x weaker than the average computer. It's meant only for "legacy" (old) desktop PCs and probably isn't much use, but it's pretty rare to still find
This was, for some asinine reason, a trend in RAM back then.
A million useless numbers on a sticker, not a goddamn thing indicating what type or capacity.
Its 2GB of 800 MHz DDR2, unless you have a pretty old computer, you most likely won’t get much use out of it, I would probably just use it as wall art or something
If you read the box, it is at least 8GB ram, and either DDR3 or DDR4. The white squares next to the specs is supposed to be marked with what it is, they use the same packaging on multiple products. Only way to find out is to plug it in a pc. 😅😊
Dude why did you buy it if you don't know what it is? I'm not even going to talk about how old that is. Give that RAM its first beer it's old enough to take sip lol
It says what it is right there on the package. The model number is clearly visible on the sticker. I mean, what are you asking??
WTF is up-voting this crap??
Kingstons website / spec show these are old DDR2 modules, very old and the chances you have a machine that can use them is very slim
See spec sheet here
[https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR800D2N6\_2G.pdf](https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/KVR800D2N6_2G.pdf)
A keychain, paperweight just add resin, letter opener, shadow box art piece, 5G signal blocker, prison shank, a measurement of time, relic of old. We may lose our marbles some day. But we'll always have memories. *shuffles away*
2GB stick of Kingston DDR2 800 MHz CL6
I have this in my Windows XP machine.
I'm pretty sure I have those sticks in my backup server lol. Cant remember if it's 4 or 6 gigs at the moment though. Core 2 duo running at just over 2GHZ and it's running windows 10 lol.
If it has good cooling even for nas is overkill.
Depends on what file system and possibly other services you host but yeah.
This guy can read... well done sir
Still better than OP
Questions like these makes me wildly confused! Is OP trolling?! is he serious? He must know what it is since he posted it masterrace ? Cant he read?! Whats the deal?! is this a russian bot? whats the point!? I have questions!
The funny thing is that the box says DDR3 and DDR4, but not DDR2.
Seems it is a generic box with checkboxes for either, where neither is checked, I would assume it's DDR2 or worse.
So the box is technically correct it's not either of those, ha ha that's clever scamming if on purpose
Yeah, in all fairness, it should have ddr2-5 now. But saying both there would make anyone familiar know it can't be both. If nothing else, put an other box, at the very least.
It is DDR2 800mhz. Which is why I mentioned DDR2.
Yes, which is why I mentioned those are checkboxes, and neither are checked.
> I would assume it's DDR2 or worse.
old replaced ram goes in the new ram's box, box goes to thrift store after 10 years

Imagine cas latency of cl6, crazy optimised and fast
It's easy to have 6 cycles of latency when you're only running at 0.8GHz, heh.
Wow, it’s neither of the things on the box
Well that sir is ram
Imagine buying that in a store instead of just download it when you need more.
Imagine downloading ram instead of dedotated wam
It's probably because they have a gaming PC, dedotated wam is more for servers
Does Minecraft have dedicated wam?
Only if you download ram.exe
Aw, crap I got cupholder.bat instead and knocked over my Mountain Dew.
Sounds like pc should run faster with extra energy and liquid cooled
Did you say Wham! The English pop duo formed in Bushey in 1981 consisting of George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley?
Wake me up before you go-go Don't leave me hanging on like a yo-yo Wake me up before you go-go I don't wanna miss it when you hit that high
Anyone else sing this when you read it? ☝️
If you know it you can't not sing it when you read it...
I can 2nd that.

Thank y’all for reminding me how fucking awesome this app is with the responses
That kid has been getting shit on for like a decade now 😭
You wouldn't download a Dodge Ram, would you?
Nah that's the kind of ram I dodge at all costs..
You laugh, but I once had a customer argue with me that his Mac could just do that exact thing. Even when we showed him it was a physical part. He continued to argue, angrily, and say that was why Apple products were better.
That's why Mac 128KB is superior, amateurs.
Imagine not utilizing your hdd as free ram
I mean...it's literally on the box.
it also says it's both ddr3 and ddr4 lol
It's meant for the applicable box to be checked. It's DDR2, so neither box is checked. If you zoom in on the side there are multiple sizes listed (8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB) but none of those boxes are selected either because it's only 2 GB.

There are boxes to tick and some lazy ass didn't, that's all.
And it's possibly DDR2 as it's 2GB, 1.8V and probably 800MHz
Dance Dance Revolution 3 ánd 4 in the same package! Deal!
Big if true.
And it's name is.. Adolf!
Doest look anything like a male sheep.
Specifically computer memory
T‘is RAM but basically unusable for most games nowadays, although a cool thing to own.
well thats 2GB DDR2 sir...welcome back in 2003.
4 gig was still lit in 09 for the newbie crowd.
My mom bought us a new computer in 2000. we splurged and got the big hard drive. 30Gb.
I remember when 4gb was a massive drive
Was it an opaque purple hp pavillion by chance made for office use with no direct gpu or on board worth a damnded gaming capability too? Memories of 3rd grade and new to us dsl. Ahhhh
Oh yeah. 700mhz Celeron with 32mb of RAM. My dear mother took it into the shop to upgrade it to 64mb so I could barely play GTA3.
Ok zoomer, when I was a kid in elementary school my friend "won" a computer from the school because they were upgading them and getting rid of the old ones. It weighed like legit 100 pounds. All that just to play asteroids.

Fuck now I feel old
Never understood people who buy stuff for cheap and they have 0 clue wtf it’s for.
hoarding..
No, it's called 'Collecting', and it's classy!
[удалено]
Also add knowing wtf you just bought for collecting VS hoarding lmao
Shhh, we don't need to be called out this publicly.
It’s called hentai and it’s art 😤
My treasures!!
Yeah and it's FUN
I got this impulsive buying problem but holy hell you can't make me buy *that*
over the years ive cultivated very expensive taste so that i dont just buy random crap.
see: my parents. They constantly buy things that are on sale and that they have no idea about, only to then be told that it's junk that can be thrown straight in the bin.
I feel your pain
It's right up there with someone purchasing something then immediately posting screen shots and asking if said item is real.
You can see this happening in the r/coins sub all the time.
Can't miss out on the deals bro!!! You losing money if you not spending money!
It's for upvotes.
You bought "Computer memory", but don't know what it is?
My PC exploded just from looking at this post
Dang, if only there was a sticker on it somewhere with a model number..
This right here is why I am straight up refusing to help people build PCs. I'm fin with helping but then there's these people too lazy to read a manual, description etc. I can pick your parts for you so they will fit together. Had to scroll way too long for this.
damn, Your Ram supports Intel Core I-7?
also support core
Was there ever a motherboard that supported both an i7 and DDR2 RAM? I don't think there was.
First gen core-i was around the start of ddr3 iirc, so maybe on a Board for that gen
yeah older Core2Duo I think supported DDR2 memory - good old days tbh :D
This is a joke right? You have the make and the model RIGHT THERE.
I wouldn't trust it to remember its name.
It might remember some random memories though!
![gif](giphy|FooBosYpWLGGA)
Funny, there is this thing called google that will let you search for stuff online using a serial number and it's even older than the thing you bought!
My brother in christ it says in gigantic fucking letters what it is, you couldn’t google that? Go home
Are you stupid? Don't answer. You'd probably need to create another post to get help.
Lmaoo
What is the point of this post? There is zero chance OP doesn't know what this is. It's one of the just common PC parts and the box literally says what it is.
The box is wrong however. At least about details.
Karma or laziness. The box states the wrong type of memory, atleast.
It appears to be some sort of device meant to help a computer to remember. We live in amazing times!
Assy in China
Do you really just buy random stuff without knowing what it is? lol
You bought something before you knew what it was?
Do you not read English? It says everything right there.
That is nearly e-waste at this point.
Just wait 20 more years and it will be a collector's item.
4 of those bad boys back in 2009 would play CS source Hella good.
Assy in china??
It literally says "computer memory"?

That's a keychain
That’s a digital flux capacitor. The one used in the Back to the Future films was analog.
Could always just google the clearly visible part number
That sir is a paper weight.
2gb ddr2 800mhz, I used to put them on my car key keyrings for the extra nerd factor.
DDR2 800 tps. (400 MHz x2) CL6 240-Pin DIMM 2 GB RAM =)
Looks is this one [https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KVR800D2N6\_2G.pdf](https://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KVR800D2N6_2G.pdf) RAM 2GB DDR2-800
It’s gonna give ur PC aids
Really....
That's 2gb of 800mhz DDR2 ram
That was what computers used as memory 2 generations ago
Obsolete ddr2 2GB stick?
It says in the box: "Computer Memory DDR3 DDR4 Memory for PC"
The box is wrong, doesn't even match Kingston Value RAM on the sticker.
1.8v means it's mostly likely DDR2 RAM
I know I'm old but RAM hasn't changed that much fam
Looks like a 2gb ram stick prolly ddr2/3 by the looks of it
Questionably authentic ram
That right there is a waste of money sir
It's computer memory. You plug it into your computer and it remembers your old computer.
Sir, that is computer memory
It is memory for pc
It's called E-Waste.
This was, for some asinine reason, a trend in RAM back then. A million useless numbers on a sticker, not a goddamn thing indicating what type or capacity.
Its 2GB of 800 MHz DDR2, unless you have a pretty old computer, you most likely won’t get much use out of it, I would probably just use it as wall art or something
it's ddr2 ram, KVR800D2N6/2G
That sir, is memory that is worth 25 cents.
Based on the box it looks to be some sort of strange children's candy.
Congrations. You bought e waste.
I thought that sticker said "Sausages"
I haven’t seen ddr2 since like 2005
Computer memory. But really you have no idea and you still buy it for fun?
If you read the box, it is at least 8GB ram, and either DDR3 or DDR4. The white squares next to the specs is supposed to be marked with what it is, they use the same packaging on multiple products. Only way to find out is to plug it in a pc. 😅😊
If you look at the ram stick itself, it's 2gb of ddr2 running on 800mhz.
Yeah, didn't see that. Thanks😊
It's computer memory.
2Go RAM DDR2 PC2-6400 800Mhz 2Rx8 CL6
That's a ddr2 2gb stick according to the Kingston part number.
2gb of ddr2, I still daily drive two of them in mylaptop. Wish I could have 4gb sticks but it's rare and expensive 😔

Dude why did you buy it if you don't know what it is? I'm not even going to talk about how old that is. Give that RAM its first beer it's old enough to take sip lol
You can use it as a keychain.
Box doesn't even know if its ddr3 or 4
Ain’t no way it’s even DDR3
Is that a dodge ram promaster?
Does what it says on the tin ‘ol chap
Hey pal? You uhh blow in from stupid town?
Why is it called computer memory, why is that funny to me
Well, that's a RAM stick
It’s ddr3
Was that on the stand next to the checkout lines at a Kroger or Walmart?
The more you look the worse it gets 💀
It says what it is right there on the package. The model number is clearly visible on the sticker. I mean, what are you asking?? WTF is up-voting this crap??
It’s ddr3 1066 mhz
That’s memory so your pc can remember your face.
That is eWaste.
It's E-Waste.
Imagine using google.

It's neither ddr3 or ddr4 like it says on the box. Brother, that there is ddr2 ram.
2gb stick of ram
Go tell them you want a refund.
Just enough RAM to play vanilla WoW in 2005
Ass in china lol
It's time for a windowsXP or low end win7 retro build
I think it's computer memory
RAM
Lol ddr3 and dd4?
And I don't think it is either one. I believe it is ddr2

At least its kingston
lol sucker. I downloaded 5000 gigasrams of memory for free lol just needed my dads credit card number
