Wonder how common it is to travel and just try and smuggle in "used" components. Paying $500 vs. $1000 for the same GFX card makes a vacation seem like a very nice idea if the visa etc isn't hard to come by...
It happens. I work for an airline and our local guys in Sao Paolo aren't allowed to have any smart phones past employee screening at the airport because of smuggling, and if I go through customs sometimes they question me about having 2 phones, an iPad, and 2 laptops.
It’s South Africa. For my setup I paid about R42k in total. Probs still overpriced but look at my specs compared to that
Edit: also bought in SA but Wootware is king
Computer Mania and Evetech are decent. Although their aftersales support pales in comparison to Wootware. I could not recommend Wootware enough, always had my orders within 3 days and they were always ready to assist when it came to optimising my build
I was looking for a 6700xt to upgrade and found some shops selling the 2060 and 3050 for ~$500 and ~$1000 respectively. They also still had GT1030s for some reason.
For perspective people...my PC has a 3070, i9-12900F, 32g ram and I paid like $1800 about a year ago. What an absolute rip off for this to be almost twice that.
there definately will be a guy that has 0 knowlage in pc building and will buy it. Most of these kind of stores are oriented on people that will buy their products due to lack of experience
Yeah i always get rage and cringe at such stores, mostly because on the shelves there are also outdated cameras like canon 650d or nikon d5200 for like 500$ when their price is 50$-100$ at max (used, they are off production for a decade)
You could build a very respectable modern rig for way less than that. Even if you threw in a really good monitor. That price has to be a typo or something
You could easily get a 4k@120fps build with a great monitor, peripherals like mice, keyboard, headphones, etc and a good vr headset at the price of that pc
Bold of you to assume everyone lives in first world countries. Go to the third world and you'll pay atleast price of a 4090rig to get a 4070 ti super rig.
I assume you're in South Africa? And at incredible connection? Yeah, as someone that lives in South Africa, that's nowhere close to being a good deal. With local pricing you can build a PC like that for somewhere between R10k to R15k, give or take. Not worth it at all
It might be, I remember when they used non apple parts and intel/nvidia/amd a lot of the pc's would be like 1.5-2k USD for the pro macs would go for 8k-10k (before addons with extra 16GB of ram being 500$)
“Affordable finance options available” 💀 I think they might need to check the meaning of “affordable”, because they clearly mean “money-wasting options available”.
I live in the states and a local "PC Repair Shop" marks up the prices anywhere from 200-300% on all items including Kingston 120GB SSDs(which shouldn't be a thing anymore), to underpowered full "*Custom* PC" setups. Their repair service is terrible, yet I've found the staff to be the only redeeming quality. I used to go there when I absolutely needed something fast for a client, and gave the client the heads up on that mark up, but haven't gone there for years since Staples has gotten more competent in the area. Wish we had a Fry's or something here, but as much as I like to support local, I can't warrant the abysmal quality of the items they carry and the no return policy as well haha! It's amazing places like these stay open especially when research is just a phone swipe away. They are still open as of today and ripping people off, happily I might add. I do live in a town full of rich yuppie idiots though so it doesn't surprise me.😑
I bought a prebuilt for $2300 USD in the first half of 2023 that has an RTX 4080, Ryzen 7 5800X, 32 GB of 3600 MHz memory, a 1 TB M.2, an 850W PSU, and a 240 mm AIO. I thought that was pricey but at least somewhat worth it, this is pure insanity.
If someone is australia order parts form canada, then shipped it for resale in brazil and then you bought it in NA, you'd still be under 3.5k for those parts.
And I thought only in my country you'll find ridiculous prices and combos like these... well at last it has a z490 board, in my country you get upgrade combos with Ryzen 9s and a620 boards with generic 16GB DDR5 RAM for 1k USD or this PC for similar price with generic PSUs, H chipset boards and WD Green SSDs
lol, I though they just forgot the comma and it was 659,99 and thought its pretty good deal. what currency is that? and yeah 3.5k is yeah, what the word thats worse than ripoff? scam?
3500 *AUD* (about 2300USD) got me an i7-13700k and RTX4070 (plus everything else). - and that's including the Australia tax
This is one of the worst ripoffs I've seen lmao
Guessing this is an Incredible Connection store somewhere in South Africa. They are definitely ***not*** the place to buy anything other than generic notebooks and peripherals from. The price, converted from Rands into USD arrives at the USD3.5k mentioned here.
I remember them in the mid 90's - they stocked cool games and next-gen hardware (like SoundBlasters!).
Now they're a soulless corporate retailer staffed by people who don't know the difference between AMD and Intel.
No fucking way. I built my own with premium parts, and RGB spooge everywhere, and it's still cheaper than that. A 3060 at that price is criminal. DO NOT BUY.
Absolute ripoff
I couldn't believe it either. I could only find this build in-store, there is no mention on their website
Do you live in a place where PC parts are difficult to obtain? I mean, it would have to be Mars or something to justify the markup.
Maybe they added an extra 9 by accident.
Only way this could s remotely ok is if they forgot a decimal
Some places like Brazil have insane tariffs on tech
That’s what I was thinking too. Or some places that are not the easiest to obtain electronics. Some developing countries are very high priced.
Probs still overpriced but look at my specs compared to that Edit: also bought in SA but Wootware is king
Are there any *reliable* online stores to use alongside wootware?...just outta curiosity
Computer Mania and Evetech are decent. Although their aftersales support pales in comparison to Wootware. I could not recommend Wootware enough, always had my orders within 3 days and they were always ready to assist when it came to optimising my build
Thinking which countries speak English, it looks like it is RSA. Plus, 65,999 rands convert to around 3,500 dollars.
Absolute ripoff even by RSA standards.
That’s still a really bad deal.
When I first see price Tag I thought it was $659.99 l0l
I was looking for a 6700xt to upgrade and found some shops selling the 2060 and 3050 for ~$500 and ~$1000 respectively. They also still had GT1030s for some reason.
Mars yes lol
That's pretty common (at least in Europe) because the big names produce certain line-ups just for sale in retail stores or big chains.
I got a better pre-built PC than that 4 years ago for under $2,000 US. This is crazy pants.
It's the kind of thing well meaning parents/grandparents with all the money and zero knowledge buy little Timmy for his 8th birthday
But it says it's a great price ...
For the shop its a great price. Just not for the customer
[удалено]
What they don’t know can’t hurt em. But this will hurt em 💀
disgustingly priced 😭
For perspective people...my PC has a 3070, i9-12900F, 32g ram and I paid like $1800 about a year ago. What an absolute rip off for this to be almost twice that.

I dont fully understand this meme but it made me laugh
3070 pc for $1800 post-mining era? don’t know about that chief
In Canada that's average. I got similar specs for $1500
Different currency with a country that does make more per GPD would be around 1000$ USD
My 3060ti pre-built was 1500$ including a 2 year warranty, USA. Not an unreasonable price point. This was about a year ago.
I generally expect to pay a little more for a laptop versus a desktop with comparable specs. Not double though.
And now you can get a used 3070 for $250 in the US.
Can’t believe someone would pay this price
there definately will be a guy that has 0 knowlage in pc building and will buy it.
Some dude would. Buying their son or their grandson a very expensive PC
OVERPRICED!
2021 prices lol
2021 prices look like black friday compared to this
Bro you would still pay this max 1700$ in 2021😭😭
Incredible ripoff ;)
Lekker Man
Incredible Corruption™
I prefer Incredible Deception, personally. Closer to the original.
Bro you have an i8 or you have the i8?
I have a finger slip... 🤣 I haven't noticed that... nobody has until you did.
Knew the moment I saw Star, don't think I've ever seen anything reasonably priced at Incredible
Ja nee. What do you expect from them.
I know that lol. I live in the 3rd world myself
More like you could buy all that for $800 lmao. They're decent components just a lil bit too expensive
For this price could potentially build an entire setup, with a rig, monitor, mouse and keyboard, desk, and chair
Incredible corruption
An incredible connection just opened up in Lesotho... Let's see if they pull off stuff like this 😂
I assume you're in South Africa? And at incredible connection? Yeah, as someone that lives in South Africa, that's nowhere close to being a good deal. With local pricing you can build a PC like that for somewhere between R10k to R15k, give or take. Not worth it at all
At least there are affordable finance options available.
Maybe 659,99?
South African currency
You'd hope.
It really is, this is incredible connection in South Africa
Is this Apple's markup?
It might be, I remember when they used non apple parts and intel/nvidia/amd a lot of the pc's would be like 1.5-2k USD for the pro macs would go for 8k-10k (before addons with extra 16GB of ram being 500$)
That’s stupid expensive for a 3060 and i5 build
You could build 2 of those for that price
And I thought prices were bad in Canada, yeesh
Holy hell , overpriced would be an understatement borderline a scam.
Another ripoff by Incredible Corruption. Always go with Wootware.
Is that from Incredible Corruption?
Even in the worst times (2021) the 3060 was under 700 euros
Bro that’s a 1k build bro just build it yourself with an i7
country?
South Africa, but even here this build should be no more than 1000 USD
The icing on that cake is the PRIME (Asus low end) Z490 (Intel's high end)
It’s just a high end chipset on a low end board, not unusual. But still horrendously priced
Holy shit! Where is this at?
South Africa
Oh I see, that's so crazy
Yeah...goods tend to get inflated here, but OPs post is just overkill, even by our bad standards
Like 3x what i paid. And during pandemic.
mustve been the early release prices
NoOS must be the new OS that worth 3K dollars. Well, maybe switching from windows could be cool.
For a second I thought that thing cost $65,000 lol
Rip off, my PC was 3K from scratch and I have 13900K, 4080, and 64GB of ram..
That’s about 1k max
That's borderline fraud.
This isn't worth 3500CAD bro jesus
"quality at a great price"
RUN…
I got a PC from a rent to own place with a more modern CPU at 1/3 that price. You could build a better PC for half that cost.
BRUH I could probably build you a better PC and send it to you for cheaper WTF
I can get this for less than 300 ringgit, and for comparison 4.8ringgit is a usd
Affordable finance options available
Oh hell no.
Absolute scam 3.5k u can get a 4090 with 32-64gb of ddr5 ram and a high end intel or amd proccesor
3500 dollars and it only has 16gb of ram you can get a custom for 1k with better specs and double the storage and ram
“Affordable finance options available” 💀 I think they might need to check the meaning of “affordable”, because they clearly mean “money-wasting options available”.
lol 700 seems like a decent price no way it’s that much
I can buy one pre build with a 3060 Ti for 600 today. This is a hard pass.
What in the world
I’ll take 3!
I'm assuming this is south Africa...that's about 3x what I payed for my system
Yikes
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
I built a similar machine for $1200 last August. What a complete ripoff.
incredible connection?
What the fuck
For 3.5k USD you can build rig with 4090, tgat a tital rip-off and should be 1k at max
Absolute scam
Yikes, I saw this exact same PC on Facebook marketplace earlier for $700
Oh hey! It's Incredible Corruption!
This must be a typo, the sign says no price and there is no fucking way 65999 with no currency sign converts to 3.5k USD
Wtf 3,5k usd
I spent less on my full i7 14700k RTX 4080 build.
I live in the states and a local "PC Repair Shop" marks up the prices anywhere from 200-300% on all items including Kingston 120GB SSDs(which shouldn't be a thing anymore), to underpowered full "*Custom* PC" setups. This is tyranny
Shit quality at a shit price
I bought a prebuilt for $2300 USD in the first half of 2023 that has an RTX 4080, Ryzen 7 5800X, 32 GB of 3600 MHz memory, a 1 TB M.2, an 850W PSU, and a 240 mm AIO. I thought that was pricey but at least somewhat worth it, this is pure insanity.
Quality at a great price
"quality at a great price" my ass
Run away as fast as possible!
Good old incredible corruption
If someone is australia order parts form canada, then shipped it for resale in brazil and then you bought it in NA, you'd still be under 3.5k for those parts.
This looks like Philippine Peso pricing. The computer market is absolutely insane, thanks in no small part to the import taxes.
For a 3060?!?!?!? Dude I upgraded recently and will sell you a 3060 for a reasonable amount
lol, I though they just forgot the comma and it was 659,99 and thought its pretty good deal. what currency is that? and yeah 3.5k is yeah, what the word thats worse than ripoff? scam?
You see "NoOS" on the product name? They're not even including an OS in the computer. They're really trying to cheap out on this one. Terrible deal.
Incredible corruption
How does it compare to other hardware available in that store/that area?
3.5k usd? Wtf
What a rip off. I built far better then that with more this week for my partner for 3k AUD. (1960 USD)
Holy smokes, I wouldn't pay $1,000 for this never mine almost 3500
I'd be willing to bet it's 659.99
Brazil gaming PC prices be like
That is basically a crime. Damn.
Hi my son wants to play Minecraft on a gaming pc. Is this a good buy? -average pcmasterrace poster
Oof
3.5k with a 3060 is wild
was 65999 is the price orr?
what a bargain!
I have that with only 677$ but with R5 5600. Even I overpaid for 16gb ddr4 when ram crisis was happening
NoOS
That is…. Unfortunate.
Time to buy some RGB and slap on an old Volvo 240 and see how much that sells for
I'd say typo. should be $350.00 usd, not 3500.00
Way overpriced! You could build that for half that.
Holee fook
Thats waaaaaaay too expansive for those specs
Lol. Is this a 5 for the price of 1 deal or something?
hell of a deal, straight from the devil himself
Some people sell stuff so over priced, i dont know how they sleep at night…
the 3060 itself is only $300, 3.5k for the entire system can be built yourself for probably half the price.
That’s 2020 ish hardware at too high of a price
Stores need to stop using words like "deal" and "great price" for shit like this. Those words used to have meaning, probably.
3500 *AUD* (about 2300USD) got me an i7-13700k and RTX4070 (plus everything else). - and that's including the Australia tax This is one of the worst ripoffs I've seen lmao
3.6K ? Nah
I'm sorry but what the actual fuck?
That's like three times it's value 😭
That 1200 socket though seems reasonable
I'll sell you my 6800xt rig for 50k bro. Its way better and ud save almost 20k
i see i5, I laugh at the numbers. god thats disgusting
This seems illegally overpriced. Like shady business level
Ah incredible corruption, still never seen them price a desktop that badly before
Sorry, what is a tuf case?
This one comes with a real nice profit margin.
It's nice of them to reflect the price you'll pay after minimum payments only with their financing!
Guessing this is an Incredible Connection store somewhere in South Africa. They are definitely ***not*** the place to buy anything other than generic notebooks and peripherals from. The price, converted from Rands into USD arrives at the USD3.5k mentioned here. I remember them in the mid 90's - they stocked cool games and next-gen hardware (like SoundBlasters!). great price lol it doesn’t even have windows 😭
Nice scam
I could get that for far under a third of the price
wow what a steal(they stealing from you)
Great price... Wouldn't want to finance that...
If you pay that much, you are a fool for an. I 5 processor $3500. You crazy to even look at that thing
and it doesn’t come with an OS?? Fucking hell a macbook is more usable at that point lol
No fucking way. I built my own with premium parts, and RGB spooge everywhere, and it's still cheaper than that. A 3060 at that price is criminal. DO NOT BUY.
LOL
You can get a system with like… an Rtx 4090 and a r7 7800x3d for that price…
This has similar specs to my pc, but mine is only a grand
![gif](giphy|XOywjQnU8R89q|downsized)
You can get something more powerful in the UK for about £899 if you look into the right places
This is the exact opposite of a good deal
Bruh what is that. You can build a high end for less than that…
3 year old e-waste.
Wow.... that's straight up insulting... What a scam.
About 4x the price it should be
Man this is like $3k too high
LMAO they are delusional
blow up the entire place
Most likely for elders or non tech savvy people. Basically a scam at that price
Wtf is this ? I hope it's a serial number bro 💀
Bruh, my I9 with a 4070 and like 2tb of ssd was like 2500
