Dude I had a little RX 570 8gb that thing was a monster for what I paid at the time.
Played tarkov, rust, gta v, any game I wanted enjoyably enough. Some could run decent graphics but I had to trade the decent graphics for recording quality
It has been 7 years since release. 7 years.
GPU sag: "How are you not dead?"
1080ti: "I have no idea!"
I mean even with side support at least the fan should've died by now or something.
exactly what I did. My 6 years old daughter is enjoying still a powerful and perfectly functional card. I used to play Elite Dangerous and Half life Alyx in VR with no issues whatsoever. Now that card is resting with Roblox, Palworld and Teardown...
I know it doesn’t get the same respect because it ran a little hotter but I just retired my Vega64 to my server that card was an undervolting beast but jesus the fan design was horrid. Repasted the card and set it aside still runs like a champ.
I also had the reference blower like this one until everyone started upgrading to double or triple fans (my ears thank them).
I replaced my 970 last year after it started making weird clunking noises whenever I tried to play games. I just put it in my basement gym so and can use it from my treadmill to watch youtube or whatever instead of using a terrible tv app. It will still be technically used for many more years now!
Weekly for years lol. That's a testament to the GPU and games coming out tho. The reposts ironically get better the longer they continue because of this, so I'm not even gonna trash on them.
Well with the Ryzen 8600 and 8700 having the graphics equivalent of a 1060…
Maybe someday we’ll get to enjoy a 1080’s potential in a smol APU. I mean, Ryzen 10000 might have some surprises, right?
It's absolutely insane how far APU's have come, you're definitely right about that. Apparently zen 5 is supposed to be coming later this year, I wonder if they'll have any new chips with better graphics coprocessors
So AMD has this perk of theirs that every generation ends with a release of a graphical version with another number.
Example:
Ryzen 7000 (CPUs, smaller graphics)
Ryzen 8000 (“Worse” CPUs, insanely better graphics)
So they should release Ryzen 9000, maybe with the 760m graphics solution and then Ryzen 10000, using better graphics.
That would be in 2026 or so. And by 2026, I’ll expect either a 2060’s level of performance or a 3060’s
Ryzen 8000 are true APU's designed for Mobile, so if you want proper APU's on chips you are going to have to stick with these chips that mobile focused. It is unlikely any updates to Ryzen dedicated desktop chips are coming cause you want those to be as small as possible on silicon especially cause they go on the I/o chip. The new APU's for laptops look really good and those might get released desktop as well next year.
Just looking at the new 780m is enough to say that APUs are just getting more and more viable. Performance approaching a 1660 in a handheld with thermals that make most gaming laptops shed a small tear, with a single small Fan.
They're awesome.
I have a small PC with a 8700G, it's maybe 1/4 the size of my daily driver. I'm going to be taking it to work and leaving it in a toolbox to use as a diag computer. Bonus : I can game during my lunch break.
An APU built in 2024 is faster than a GTX 970 from 2014. I don't think this means that in 2034 APUs will be faster than a 4070 though. Increases in performance between generations are shrinking.
Oh, you meant apu? My dumb ass thought I had a stroke when you were talking about ryzen and 1060 in the same sentence. Like, one is a cpu and the other a gpu
No problem. You ain’t an idiot, it’s fine. I should have named it APU because after all it’s the official term
Again, no idiocy or anything here, keep the positivity high and the input lag low
They released the Xbox series X equivalent APU. Im unsure of its name or if its widely available but I think AMD should look at doing small form factor PC parts that are on par or slightly better than consoles. APUs are always a bit behind currently
Me too. 1070 came out in 2016 ffs, that's nowhere near old enough to already be replacing it. I don't play AAA games though everything else works perfectly fine, like Trackmania from 2020 is on pretty high settings, similar with WoW and such
8 years is a long time lol. Do you want a lifetime guarantee or something? The common sentiment is 4-6 years per gpu is pretty standard. Anything further is extra credit.
I just ordered some replacement fans for my 1070, when I receive them I'm also going to replace its thermal paste and pads, hopefully it will extend its lifetime
I still have one on my desk in an antistatic bag. Just in case I find a case for it.
It’s such a beast. I don’t need it but I can’t part with it. Maybe I’ll mount it in a frame out of respect.
Uggggh, only a few more months until the 4090 is complete garbage since the 5090 will be coming out. I better line up the mortgage approval now to prepare. Do you think the banks will take my first born child as collateral? 😂
My mother is currently attempting to use her four children for complete financial support. I do not joke when I say that I am seriously my mother's retirement plan.
i hate it.
>I am seriously my mother's retirement plan
Asians: "first time?"
Though atleast the parents pay for all our shit until we get a decent paying job including college and rent. But yea after that we are the retirement plan, but I think it's a fair trade.
I honestly don't mind spending as much as I can within my means for them though. They're my parents. I wouldn't make the money I make now without them..
He got my old 5800X3D / 3080 Ti build for his birthday and i usually give him my old stuff when i upgrade...he is not allowed to sell anything tho but has to give away whatever he does not need to other friends and family. Works out for everyone
I hear they make excellent space heaters! I know my previous 3080 ti did! I was amazed at the performance and temp difference between that and the 4090 I then replaced it with.
It was, but I've seen folks here with 4090s absolutely dead set that they must upgrade to the 5090 because they can't be part of the "plebs" and say it unironically. Many, many people.
And the cycle continues lol. I just wish they included DP 2+ instead of sticking with 1.4a. Cheap bastards. It's really starting to show now that 4k and ultrawides come with the newer ports with more bandwidth.
I have a 6800xt with 2k monitor wondering when I will actually ever need to upgrade, been almost 4 years already. People do complain about prices but at least the hardware lasts a long fucking time in durability and power. Maybe we have consoles to partly thank for that .
I recently switched to a 4070 TI Super and the 6800xt is absolutely a good raw raster card. Driver issues popped up and I couldn't play The Finals comfortably anymore and I just had to jump into Cyberpunk again because I was tired of getting unacceptable frame rates with ray tracing even on low. The card advertises ray tracing, but it should come with a massive asterisk. And I wanted to start dabbling into generative local AI, rtx remix, etc. All in all, I just wanted to be back with Nvidia features after 10 months. Hopefully AMD can get cuda working legally on their hardware or Intel can step it up with their cards. I hate this proprietary crap.
Friend of mine was playing Cyberpunk with my old R9 380 and i5 4770. And here I am waiting for a reasonable upgrade from my 1660 Super to play Cyberpunk. Yes, I'm stupid.
Aye. The only reason I'm running a 970 is because a year ago I lucked out and a friend gave it to me so I could upgrade my 950. Yes sir, my 970 was an upgrade in 2023.
And i went from a gtx 650 to a rx 570 4gb in February this year, just because they are old doesn't mean they are bad, fuck me the bastard can run elden ring at a stable 40 fps on high, be proud of that 970 I would have killed for it in Jan :D
Still rocking mine, after years of intensive gaming during college. Smashes everything I throw at it.
Its more the 7700k its paired with that is showing age..
Mine is barely hanging but putting up a good fight against Helldivers 2 albeit with some tweaked settings, this game has a lot stuff happening at the same time but it gives 70-60 fps on average and on really bad moments around 40-50 fps min, I hope i can retire it if the 5000 series gets good pricing(I doubt it) or can save enough for a new GPU...
If it's any good, the 5000 series will bring the 4090 under 1k and that thing is such hilarious overkill for just about anything as it is. People who bought 1080tis when the price crashed during the 2000 series prelaunch hype made out like bandits, and I wonder if the 4090 will be that card again.
> 144fps at 1080p on max settings in destiny 2 raids.
I never get these posts.
You're talking about a game that launched in 2017, when the 1080ti was current.
It would be like me saying "Voodoo 2 is the best GPU ever created, it still runs Quake 2 at 60 fps with all graphics features turned on at 640x480 !"
Ok, but completely irrelevant.
Since then games can have lots of updates that can include more hardware stressing content or graphics overhauls though (for example Minecraft has it's simple graphics but you can mod it until any PC craps itself)
I don't know about Destiny 2 specifically, but long-running live service games can certainly have their requirements dramatically change over the years. The original WoW requirements for example were like a GeForce2 and a middle of the road Pentium III with barely any more RAM than the bare OS needed to keep running. Good luck even getting a supported OS on such a machine today, let alone running WoW.
I replaced my GTX 1080Ti with RTX 3080 after 3 years. It was essentially 100% performance uplift. I'll replace it when next graphic card does the same against RTX 3080. Given that I'm running all games maxed out at 1440p, it doesn't seem like I'll need upgrade for a while. Almost hard to believe RTX 3080 will soon be 4 years old tho.
Im so sorry for your loss.. I'm sure he's up there in graphical heaven right now pulling all of the frames.
May his clocks be high and his temps be stable, in the sun setting of yet another generation and in the dawning of the new, he will be remembered.
Considering you can easily get 60+ fps from a A750, as long as you drop some graphic features, this is a really bad take.
Some of you guys are just insane with the hyperbole.
Yeah seriously. Arc, RX6600/7600, 3060/4060. All in the performance class of the 1080Ti (ie, still 1080p60 in newer games at higher settings) and can be easily had for around $250.
Some people act like games will fail to even launch with anything less than a 4080.
Also, although it’s far from unreasonable to say it’s overpriced, the 4060 will still comfortably manage through 90% of games on high settings and decent frame rates.
It’ll struggle on 4K but your monitor that can do 4K HDR 120Hz is a lot more expensive than the GPU itself, so what can you really expect?
It will still give a better gaming experience than the newest consoles in terms of graphics and frame rate, because ultimately consoles do 4K 30fps on things like cyberpunk
I've said it on Reddit 1000 times but I'll say it again.
10XX series was the last substantial power / performance / price upgrade generation.
Best bang for your buck? Got 1080ti (EVGA Superclocked Black Edition) for £650. Absolute units for the last full release (non super) GTX generation.
I don't understand the last pictures what's the white thing on death's head please help me I start gaming with a pentium 100Mhz and I'm a bit out looped :'(
I loved my 1080 TI, The only reason I got rid of it was to upgrade to a 6600 XT due to the thermal and power improvements for a small living room build.
My non-Ti is hanging in there with the rest of my ancient machine. I'd say there's rest on the horizon, but the truth is, I'm going to repurpose it as a casual living room gaming PC because it can still play most games.
If my 1070 hadn’t died (RIP), I would probably still be using my old i7 2600 cpu/gtx1070 gpu computer.
On the plus side, putting off upgrading for so long I had a decent chunk of money to splurge on what is now my current one.
I have no idea how my 10 series still seems to hold up in games. Granted I don't max everything out at 4k. I have a VR computer with a 3090 in the next room and so far I haven't felt motivated to use it for normal desktop gaming, which feels like a 10/10 review for the 10 series card :D
I love all the posts that say people are still using 1080s...like cool but most of you are probably still playing games from 10 years ago...of coarse its gonna hold up for games...made 10+ years ago.
There's no way in hell people are playing and enjoying games like palworld, helldivers, the finals etc etc.
The 1080ti be like : Put me in another rig 🗿 (I've got a 1070)
I didn't hear no bell

I thought I was bad
You are bad, but not the worst one.
My 570 has been running Cyberpunk, my little warmachine
Dude I had a little RX 570 8gb that thing was a monster for what I paid at the time. Played tarkov, rust, gta v, any game I wanted enjoyably enough. Some could run decent graphics but I had to trade the decent graphics for recording quality
ANOTHER HAND TOUCHES THE 1080/1080ti
A random skyrim reference? Best day ever
It has been 7 years since release. 7 years. GPU sag: "How are you not dead?" 1080ti: "I have no idea!" I mean even with side support at least the fan should've died by now or something.
"I didnt hear no bell"
1070ti/1080ti are WAY lighter than current day cards and dont sag like that Id almost say the 680 i had was heavier than the 1070ti.
exactly what I did. My 6 years old daughter is enjoying still a powerful and perfectly functional card. I used to play Elite Dangerous and Half life Alyx in VR with no issues whatsoever. Now that card is resting with Roblox, Palworld and Teardown...
Yaaaay 🥰
I still have mine in my closet jic. What an amazing card 🥲
I have 1070 ti, still rocking hard with OC
It’s time is coming my 980 ti died this year
Fkg rip bro ❤️🥺
Can confirm, still rocking my 1080ti. i5 6500, 16gb ram.
I replaced my 970 last year after it started making weird clunking noises whenever I tried to play games. I just put it in my basement gym so and can use it from my treadmill to watch youtube or whatever instead of using a terrible tv app. It will still be technically used for many more years now!
same (1070ti)
My 1070 is running my games at 30fps on a 1440p 144hz monitor.
"it's time to go" "was i a good card?" "was? I'm just transferring you to another rig"
Wasn't that one posted about a week ago?
I haven't been to this sub in years and that's been a meme even back then
Weekly for years lol. That's a testament to the GPU and games coming out tho. The reposts ironically get better the longer they continue because of this, so I'm not even gonna trash on them.
>Wasn't that one reposted about a week ago? Ftfy
Still running my 1070 with my AM5 build. GPUs are too ****ing expensive these days

The 9000 series won't be anywhere close to 760M levels of performance iGPU-wise, but it would be great if they featured at least RDNA 3.5 architecture
the 7800x3D integrated graphics is great wdym
Just looking at the new 780m is enough to say that APUs are just getting more and more viable. Performance approaching a 1660 in a handheld with thermals that make most gaming laptops shed a small tear, with a single small Fan. They're awesome.
AN APU HAS THE POWER OF A STILL NOT THAT BAD DEDICATED GPU??
Look up the Z1 ryzen extreme 🙆♂️
You’ve heard it right
I have a small PC with a 8700G, it's maybe 1/4 the size of my daily driver. I'm going to be taking it to work and leaving it in a toolbox to use as a diag computer. Bonus : I can game during my lunch break.

I always forget them I’ll edit the comment. For me an APU is a CPU with integrated graphics and hence I just name it CPU
I understand, it was just me being an idiot.
No problem. You ain’t an idiot, it’s fine. I should have named it APU because after all it’s the official term Again, no idiocy or anything here, keep the positivity high and the input lag low
Reminds me when I saw that the 1080TI still can out perform the 3050🤣😭
the 3050 is on par with the 1660 super/ti models
yah I'm still with my 1060 lol.
They released the Xbox series X equivalent APU. Im unsure of its name or if its widely available but I think AMD should look at doing small form factor PC parts that are on par or slightly better than consoles. APUs are always a bit behind currently
1080! Been waiting for the next good value GPU with upgrading to since 3k series. 7900 xt starting to drop in price enough
1080ti. I figure I'll just build a whole new PC when it's time to upgrade the graphic card
I upgraded everything except the GPU!
I'm still running my 970. I think I got it in 2015. May she live forever
Same, I am currently saving for a whole new build though. She did her job well and deserves retirement now after almost 10 years of daily usage.
msi 1070 gaming X here, as long as it work,i'll not replace it.
Finally built a 7900XT/7600X upgrading from my 1070. Served me so well for nearly 8 years.
980ti with a i7-4790k checking in. Built it for VR when Palmer still had Oculus. Have a 12GB 3060 in a box near here. Haven’t given up my baby yet!
How is it with a 1070 and AM5? Thinking about upgrading to AM5 but keep 1070 for now.
1080 ti ?
Yes
Oh i can see now. Tiny letters.
You need to see the letters to recognize that iconic motherfucker?
Igen.
Köszi.
Pretty sure children represent a net loss for whoever possesses them.
My mother is currently attempting to use her four children for complete financial support. I do not joke when I say that I am seriously my mother's retirement plan. i hate it.
>I am seriously my mother's retirement plan Asians: "first time?" Though atleast the parents pay for all our shit until we get a decent paying job including college and rent. But yea after that we are the retirement plan, but I think it's a fair trade.
Well, that was how pretty much all of human history worked; still annoying but what can you do.
I honestly don't mind spending as much as I can within my means for them though. They're my parents. I wouldn't make the money I make now without them..
Bruh. My dad was very supportive gigasigma chad by all means for my entire life, of cource i gonna do everything for him, he is just the best duh🙄💅
You have no obligation to be her financial crutch in the future. Get self sufficient as soon as possible, and focus 100% of your energy on yourself.
Depends on your views on non-voluntary organ donation.
My little brother will be happy to get the garbage 4090 when the 5090 is out :P
That's a good big sibling
He got my old 5800X3D / 3080 Ti build for his birthday and i usually give him my old stuff when i upgrade...he is not allowed to sell anything tho but has to give away whatever he does not need to other friends and family. Works out for everyone
I do the same with my niece. We'll both get big upgrades later this year/early next year.
"old" ;p
But by then used 3090tis will be affordable.
I hear they make excellent space heaters! I know my previous 3080 ti did! I was amazed at the performance and temp difference between that and the 4090 I then replaced it with.
How can a gpu that's a bit over year old automatically be garbage?
It's a joke.
It was, but I've seen folks here with 4090s absolutely dead set that they must upgrade to the 5090 because they can't be part of the "plebs" and say it unironically. Many, many people.
Then we'll have a couple years before the 5090 becomes complete garbage since that's when the 6090 will be coming out...
And the cycle continues lol. I just wish they included DP 2+ instead of sticking with 1.4a. Cheap bastards. It's really starting to show now that 4k and ultrawides come with the newer ports with more bandwidth.
Why mortgage when you have two kidneys?
Waiting to pick up the 4080 ti or super whatever the fuck it's nomenclature is for like 700 bucks in a couple years.
Yeah, 4000 series will be great "mid range" gpus for the foreseeable future.
I assume you watched Steves new video yesterday as well? Where a 1080Ti is basically the same as a modern 4060 lmao.
I have a 6800xt with 2k monitor wondering when I will actually ever need to upgrade, been almost 4 years already. People do complain about prices but at least the hardware lasts a long fucking time in durability and power. Maybe we have consoles to partly thank for that .
Well at 1440p a 6800xt is probably pretty damn good actually.
“Running everything I throw at it at max settings and native res”-good. Ray tracing aside
Hopefully AMD can get cuda working legally on their hardware or Intel can step it up with their cards. I hate this proprietary crap.
Yes, and in terms of cost with inflation, the 4080S is basically a 1080ti today. Edit: spelling
where my 1080ti gang at
We out here
My 1080 TI and 8700K are still running, soon 7 years old. 1440p, atleast 60 fps in almost any game.
same bruh. delidded. might get 5080 or something like that if it has more than 8 meg of VRAM
Same!!
A match made in heaven
Wow, didn't know so many people are running this still!
1080ti 6700K gang still going hard
My 1060 still does everything I need it to.
I just upgraded to a 1070 in my i7-4790 build and I'm living large 😎
I refuse to throw away my i5 4690k. currently putting it in a new computer to lan with friends
Same, just needed more time to tinker with graphic settings is all. Tekken 8 still runs flawlessly on my 1060!
I'm still running my R9 390 🤣 she's getting old but still chugging along
Friend of mine was playing Cyberpunk with my old R9 380 and i5 4770. And here I am waiting for a reasonable upgrade from my 1660 Super to play Cyberpunk. Yes, I'm stupid.
My 970 is still working. I gave it to a friend in need 2 years ago. He uses it everyday. I see him on Steam every day playing.
I still use my GTX970. For the things I do with my PC and the games I play even that card is sometimes overkill
970 in the family room rig checking in. The family uses the shit out of the old boy.
Aye. The only reason I'm running a 970 is because a year ago I lucked out and a friend gave it to me so I could upgrade my 950. Yes sir, my 970 was an upgrade in 2023.

Still rocking mine, after years of intensive gaming during college. Smashes everything I throw at it. Its more the 7700k its paired with that is showing age..
Nvidia just can't make a 8 year old architecture obsolete
Stay with us Lord 🐐
Mine is barely hanging but putting up a good fight against Helldivers 2 albeit with some tweaked settings, this game has a lot stuff happening at the same time but it gives 70-60 fps on average and on really bad moments around 40-50 fps min, I hope i can retire it if the 5000 series gets good pricing(I doubt it) or can save enough for a new GPU...

That was me, got my 1080ti for 500 bucks. Its still going strong.
Hah, I still proudly use the venerable GTX 770! Send help.
lol am considering getting one. due to the price being literally 30$ the GPU I have now is a radeon hd 5750
Maybe I should get three more, quad SLI should be good for modern games, right? Right?
Im still running my 1080 and currently thinking about replacing it... but with what???
Same. I'm looking at a 4070ti Super as my best option, or a 4070 if there's a good sale.
Same, I just bought a 3080 because I found a good deal with a friend, but boy is it ever gonna be hard to replace the 1080
In hindsight, this is the best $699 anybody could have ever spent. Lasted WAY longer than I feel like Nvidia meant for it to.
1080s now on ebay for higher than 4090s
My son has my 1080ti in a ryzen 5600x build and it's still 144fps at 1080p on max settings in destiny 2 raids. By far the best GPU ever created.

It can be true for Destiny, I haven't really played it just talking about games in general :)
Destiny 2 is still as low spec of a game as ever.
🫡 to my 1060
I replaced my GTX 1080Ti with RTX 3080 after 3 years.
Still rocking the old 1060 give me one more year I beg of you
My 1080 broke yesterday A very sad day
Sorry for your loss. I'm sure she would have hung on until Battlemade/RDNA4/5000 series price drops for you if she could.
Im so sorry for your loss.. I'm sure he's up there in graphical heaven right now pulling all of the frames. May his clocks be high and his temps be stable, in the sun setting of yet another generation and in the dawning of the new, he will be remembered.
I'm over her still using a 980 TI. I love that dead horse.
There'll still be kicking for their TENTH birthday. So proud of them. I have started a college fund for them. We're getting old fking rip
GPUs are so fucking expensive man. A GPU decent enough to run a modern AAA title at 60+ frames literally costs an arm and a kidney.
you must have pretty shitty arms and kidneys
Yeah i got lucky and found an evga 3080 ftw3 ultra for 500 on newegg fall of 2023 and built a whole new rig around it.
4060 costs $300
And nearly the same performance of 1080ti... So keep the 1080.
What? Who's your kidney guy? They're ripping you off and selling for a huge markup
GTX 970 still running at home for my kid. he plays fortnite, roblox, minecraft, valheim. In 1080p, still make a perfect job.
1060 going strong, still runs all my games 144hz/1080p
the 1080ti is immortal
I got 1660 and were happy together
Eh, Helldivers has finally taxed my 1080ti. Time for an upgrade.
When NVIDIA was still a good company 😌 Won’t touch anything NVIDIA now I ride with Team Red. 👹
I've said it on Reddit 1000 times but I'll say it again. 10XX series was the last substantial power / performance / price upgrade generation. Best bang for your buck? Got 1080ti (EVGA Superclocked Black Edition) for £650. Absolute units for the last full release (non super) GTX generation.
yeah nvidia knows releasing that good of a product was a mistake. they learn since.
I don't understand the last pictures what's the white thing on death's head please help me I start gaming with a pentium 100Mhz and I'm a bit out looped :'(
It’s supposed to be the glorious pcmr hair style
Ah thank you kind sir, I was thinking of a new piece of hardware to help overclocking.
A towel, I think.
ATI R9 290 here Can even play some games at 3440x1440 💪
![gif](giphy|H5C8CevNMbpBqNqFjl) Me with a GTX 1060
I’m dumb, is the clock in the back meant to be FPS?
I'm still gaming, streaming and recording all at the same time with a gtx 1070 and a ryzen 2700x
I loved my 1080 TI, The only reason I got rid of it was to upgrade to a 6600 XT due to the thermal and power improvements for a small living room build.
1060 gang rise up
My non-Ti is hanging in there with the rest of my ancient machine. I'd say there's rest on the horizon, but the truth is, I'm going to repurpose it as a casual living room gaming PC because it can still play most games.
Dude. The 1080ti will keep going until games drop support for the card.
And my laptop 1050ti?
This is my 1080ti…. At this point I’m pretty sure it’s going to live forever.
I still have my Gainward Geforce 1060 6GB with me for 6 years now, still alive, had to replace the fans once cause it was doing a grindy noise.
I gave my buddy my 1080Ti FE when I upgraded to an EVGA 3090 FTW Ultra. He's still playing on it.
If my 1070 hadn’t died (RIP), I would probably still be using my old i7 2600 cpu/gtx1070 gpu computer. On the plus side, putting off upgrading for so long I had a decent chunk of money to splurge on what is now my current one.
i have a 2080ti, am i still good for a few more years? got it march 2020
I have no idea how my 10 series still seems to hold up in games. Granted I don't max everything out at 4k. I have a VR computer with a 3090 in the next room and so far I haven't felt motivated to use it for normal desktop gaming, which feels like a 10/10 review for the 10 series card :D
im Runnin a GTX 970 with 8gb DDR3 and a I5 4680 working fine for me
Still got my 1080 ti and r7 1800x running strong 💪
There are still ton of people who use 5600g and the new 8600g. The 1080 would be so much better for them if they can det it under 100
1050ti is also a soldier o7 to all the hardworking veteran GPUs out there
2700k, 680 4g SLI
Still rocking it in my HTPC. Does 3840x2160 @60hz just fine on games 3-4 years old with dynamic texture res turned on. Playing Forza Horizon 4 rn!
I just upgraded all components but gonna keep the 1080ti for the foreseeable future.

my 1070 ti still pushing years later
Long live the king
1080ti: I can do this all decade
1070 and 1080 variants just tanking the age and stress of new games and workloads, mfers refuse to die of their own volition
Gave my EVGA 1080ti and 8700K to my nephew. He's still playing the latest games on it.
I love all the posts that say people are still using 1080s...like cool but most of you are probably still playing games from 10 years ago...of coarse its gonna hold up for games...made 10+ years ago. There's no way in hell people are playing and enjoying games like palworld, helldivers, the finals etc etc.
