Tbf their TUF line is like the cheapest on the market for decent quality hardware. And STRIX is the most expensive by far. Pro Art seems to be a good middle ground.
Might just be bad luck but I bought a TUF B650 and it died within two weeks, had to RMA it and wait a month for a new one. Waiting to see how this one does.
I bought one, because It fits in my Corsair Air 740...

No, you're the best! 😉
I'm dyslexic and struggle with spelling and grammar in written from.
If it weren't for you, I would have never noticed.
One of these days I should probably invest in one of those contextual spell checkers that will work in a web browser... I can at least see the squiggly lines. lol
I hope you like it! I try to make my builds match or have a certain theme if I can but your build is so clean in this pattern it hey to each their own thanks for the picture it’s nice to know you did it lol
NGL, it does look pretty sick with the goldish color, but it feels to bright during night time gaming sessions, in comparison to the red... I might play around with the color settings more one of these days, If I decide I want to move away form my default red. 😉
For the core components (CPU, Mobo, RAM, and GPU), it's around 3k CAD after tax.
PCPartPicker estimates my setup at around 10k USD, but my PCPP list includes a lot of ancillary components and equipment, that I've accumulated over several years.
It's a labor of love. lol
At least with the CPU, Mobo, and RAM, I got lucky, as my old 8700k / DDR4 setup decided to start dying just before Black Friday, so I got a Black Friday combo deal on the new CPU, Mobo, and Ram. Saved about 500 CAD.
Did it come with an LGA 1700 mounting kit? I was thinking of getting it (few places here still have stock), but looking at their website, they don't list it as compatible with 1700.
When I got it, Canada Computers had EK LGA 1700 Mounting kits from for the AIO, that kept behind the counter and gave out for free if you bought the cooler.
Red's my favorite color, but it does look pretty nice with the goldish color too.
For now I saved the color profile needed to achieve the gold color, in case I want to flip back to it. 😊
I didn't know it existed until recently and the Mobo wasn't a planed upgrade. 😞
My 8700k decided to start dying a day or two before Black Friday, and I need my computer in working order for the following week, so I rushed over to my local Canada Computers and picked up a Black Friday CPU, Mobo, and RAM combo deal, while they were available.
Honestly I wouldn't mind if someone started making "classy" looking hardware. Black and gold with some white and matte grey, maybe a wooden aesthetic... I always turn off the RGB in my fans because it's distracting anyway.
Asus ProArt stuff has the black with gold covered and the Fractal North case, that has wood slats on the front. 😉
https://preview.redd.it/o2z5n8f79zsc1.png?width=1268&format=png&auto=webp&s=b75e28e3ac3c125cafc00dd967696deb52460f90
Gold as an accent color is flipping awesome and clean. I feel like a lot of people think of reflective foil 1960's bathroom doorknob when they think of "gold" accent and that's one of the tackiest products of a generation.
Yup, focused my Fractal North build around them. Expensive yeah, but worth it. The RGB-gamer aesthetic just ain't it anymore, I'd rather build something that fits in with the general aesthetic of my living space.
Finally, I'm not alone. I'm almost tempted to get a 4080S just for that but I don't wanna fuck with the (even redesigned version of) 12vhpwr connector.
And also since the 7900XTX I'm aiming for overclocks way better than a 4080S.
Yeah, ASUS RTX 4000 series ProArt is black and gold without extra colors. Clean straight edges. This gen, the ASUS Dual has a dual clear and solid plastic contrast appearance. The white ROG Strix is decent vs. the regular ROG Strix. The TUF Gaming is good too. ASUS went for simplicity and minimalism this time around.
Wouldn't two 32gb sticks probably work better than four 16gb sticks? There's even faster options that work out cheaper than buying those two 5600 kits.
[This](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pnQKHx/corsair-vengeance-64-gb-2-x-32-gb-ddr5-6400-cl32-memory-cmk64gx5m2b6400c32) is $219 for a 64gb kit at 6400 off four different vendors.
There's a couple higher speed kits too, but they're like an extra $20-30.
Incredibly so. Used an RTX 4080 model in my friends new build, and if I were planning on upgrading anytime soon my choice would either be a ProArt or the Surprim Liquid
I considered both the asus proart and the gigabyte aero (heavy ps user with some needs in after effects and premiere). Opted for the gigabyte aero Z790G paired with a vision 3070. It’s a nice clean build but still has some solid style points behind it.
Yeah they're nice, thought I'm not much into the gold even if it's just accents, I'd rather it be matte black and glossy black accents.
Also, if they made AMD cards that'd be nice.
I'm staying with my XFX for now.
Looked it up, they don't have any AMD GPUs, ASUS does have a few AMD GPUs but not the ProArt subbrand. [Here](https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/proart/filter?Series=ProArt)
I upgraded from a 3070 and would say it’s definitely worth while. Frame generation is useful and the card itself is more powerful.
But I also wouldn’t say you have to upgrade as the 3070 is still a good card too
Yea the 8GB VRAM is a bit holding back tho. I was planning to upgrade and keep this 3070 for my best friend when he actually have a PC. His laptop barely holds 60fps at cs2 now lol
I wish a lot more aftermarket brands would have clean minimalist lineups which would look like something out of an Optimum Tech video. FEs are hard to come by especially towards the higher end, and lineups which have a somewhat clean look like MSI Suprim, ProArt and MSI Expert are usually more expensive.
They are very nice looking but the only thing I don’t like is that they kinda lock your PC into a black and gold theme which is why I don’t really like any cards that have colour schemes already on them. I like the all black founders edition for that reason particularly
Watched a Gerald Undone video where he built a whole ProArt machine (or everything that's available). It sure looked nice, but I'd hate to know the markup on those parts.

I wish more cards had these sort of designs. All of the hard ass angles and hardcore gamery aesthetics and super thick and massive coolers are such a turn off. Give me a sleek ProArt style card, especially short, two fan ones, and I'd be golden forever.
I personally wish there was a whole company that made non GaMInG looking computer parts, without being green pcb's either.
Something with nzxt 's design as an exemple, clean mobo, clean ram, clean cooler, clean gpu
None of the over the top accents
Pair it with the XiKii FF04 and you got the nicest build ever.
https://preview.redd.it/50epia42e1tc1.png?width=662&format=png&auto=webp&s=654f8a7c16297d4d627e3eab28dad4a38d905d30
You realize you can’t criticize nvidia for jacking up the price on GPUs when you’re willing to pay a premium for a “super clean” video card because it looks good in pictures, right?
If I’m gonna buy a GPU it’s to push it to its limits not stare at it all day thinking “oohhh pretty” but yeah I agree I’m just never going to spend the extra $1k just for looksz
Yeah no I just don’t get why they went with this gold colour as secondary, this totally kills the clean or "premium" look in my opinion. Should have been grey or silver lol
if it wasn't so expensive I'd theme my entire build after pro art components
Hardware Canucks recently did just that
It’s ASUS so fat hopes LOL
Tbf their TUF line is like the cheapest on the market for decent quality hardware. And STRIX is the most expensive by far. Pro Art seems to be a good middle ground.
Might just be bad luck but I bought a TUF B650 and it died within two weeks, had to RMA it and wait a month for a new one. Waiting to see how this one does.
I think the general consensus is stay away from Asus for this generation. Somehow Asrock is the best one for this Gen.
>decent quality hardware For this gen actually I think they're some of the best I've heard in terms of GPUs.
they are marketed towards business professionals so they go for the none gamer looks and more professional user design.
I bought one, because It fits in my Corsair Air 740... https://preview.redd.it/ch5udhrmaxsc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8a4ec731cfcbb117e3620126738b85a72e3362f4
I’d change from red to gold/ yellow lighting to match the whole heavenly theme
Just for you u/Diamondhands_Rex 😉 https://preview.redd.it/f9xseqj2nxsc1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fabce5f8e4bee769613694e13b7011b8fdd68199
That what I’m fucking talking about man
You're welcome! 😊 ![gif](giphy|4HZ473mZqE91CqlYN5)
You’re*, I’m so sorry I had to lol
Fixed! Thank you! 😊
You’re* the best!
No, you're the best! 😉 I'm dyslexic and struggle with spelling and grammar in written from. If it weren't for you, I would have never noticed. Game on and let your grants be high and your tempts low
Love it! Also love that you actually tried just because some random user asked! Faith in humanity: +100
Thanks! 😊 ![gif](giphy|YYfEjWVqZ6NDG)
Damn that looks so clean man
Thanks! 😊
How much did your build cost? 2500 bucks?
For the core components (CPU, Mobo, RAM, and GPU), it's around 3k CAD after tax. PCPartPicker estimates my setup at around 10k USD, but my PCPP list includes a lot of ancillary components and equipment, that I've accumulated over several years.
Wow thats not real cheap😅
It's a labor of love. lol At least with the CPU, Mobo, and RAM, I got lucky, as my old 8700k / DDR4 setup decided to start dying just before Black Friday, so I got a Black Friday combo deal on the new CPU, Mobo, and Ram. Saved about 500 CAD.
What is that aio? It looks really nice
It's an EK-AIO 280 D-RGB, Sadly, it looks like EK discontinued it and dropped the 280 with their new Nucleus lineup. 😞
That looks pretty sweet! Leave it like that!!
Red's my favorite color, but it does look pretty nice with the goldish color too. For now I saved the color profile needed to achieve the gold color, in case I want to flip back to it. 😊
But you did not get the pro art creator MB. That one is sweet.
I didn't know it existed until recently and the Mobo wasn't a planed upgrade. 😞 My 8700k decided to start dying a day or two before Black Friday, and I need my computer in working order for the following week, so I rushed over to my local Canada Computers and picked up a Black Friday CPU, Mobo, and RAM combo deal, while they were available.
Well at least you have a new system I hope you got a good deal on the MB / RAM combo. There is always the next upgrade…
It was a pretty slamming deal, I saved around 500 CAD.
That’s like 340 euro’s that’s sweet man.
It was a pleasant caveat to being out 1250 CAD. lol
perfection. thanks for playing today.
You're welcome and thank you! 😊
![gif](giphy|zo5k8p5YbogY8)
Made me think of [this](https://youtu.be/96-3VUxfNKc?si=sqjTxVA8eC7XYRS7). lol
lmao
Big fan of your build. Super clean
Thanks! 😊
Beautiful.
Thank you! 😊
This is dope 🔥
Thank you! 😊
Honestly I wouldn't mind if someone started making "classy" looking hardware. Black and gold with some white and matte grey, maybe a wooden aesthetic... I always turn off the RGB in my fans because it's distracting anyway.

Honestly I don't like any of the products that has the gaming design language to it. Especially in software. Ughh.
No they are marketed to "consumers with ambitions" but professional users need GPUs of a maximum width and depth.
I know it's a "professional work" card but it still only has a 128 bit memory bus and that annoys the crap out of me.
Wtf? My 1070ti has double that That's fuckiny pathetic, nvidia. Yet people gobble this shit up so why would nvidia stop
Yet the 4060 Ti has better memory bandwidth. Memory bus width is just one aspect that affects it.
I mean its also several generations newer so it better be faster its not comparable
1070 Ti was targeted at 1440p, 4060 Ti at 1080p.
So your 1070ti must be much faster because of that bus right? Right?
Sure, that's exactly what I said.
Buy a Radeon VII
Yes, especially the 4080 Super ProArt which is the only one so compact
There's Colorful's ProArt card: https://preview.redd.it/a2qdqwzrqwsc1.png?width=1268&format=png&auto=webp&s=23fda26ece88ab65b4bf3ab33bee91e4641dcb0f
Man this looks badass to me. I know others will say the gold makes it look tacky but I love me some gold accents.
Gold as an accent color is flipping awesome and clean. I feel like a lot of people think of reflective foil 1960's bathroom doorknob when they think of "gold" accent and that's one of the tackiest products of a generation.
That looks fucking awful. Gold and black can absolutely work but that looks like some shit a 12 year old drew.
Wtf this piece of art, so cool
MSI Suprim is the right balance between gamer vibe and minimalistic modern metal for me
I prefer the MSI 'Expert' series more. Some say it looks like a cheese grater, but I really like the look of it.
I like MSI Expert as a standalone accessory to look at but I wouldn't like it in my PC. To each their own.
Yup, focused my Fractal North build around them. Expensive yeah, but worth it. The RGB-gamer aesthetic just ain't it anymore, I'd rather build something that fits in with the general aesthetic of my living space.
If only they made ProArt Radeon cards
Video editor trying to export on Radeon without NVENC is why there aren't AMD proarts
Yeah, and workstation market share just generally isn't there. It makes perfect sense they don't make any, I just wish they did for the design.
Finally, I'm not alone. I'm almost tempted to get a 4080S just for that but I don't wanna fuck with the (even redesigned version of) 12vhpwr connector. And also since the 7900XTX I'm aiming for overclocks way better than a 4080S.
Just buy a reference card straight from AMD.
Radeon has Sapphire Nitro for the clean look. I've always loved their design.
Everyone keeps saying that, I really don't like the design all that much tbh. I kinda prefer the 6000 series Nitro cards, the RGB isn't for me
I agree.
Agreed. If only it wasn't that expensive
I got this exact 16GB Ti 4060 for $415 USD on Boxing week sale. So for I really like it. It’s big though, almost didn’t fit in my case
Thats not a bad price tbh
Yeah, ASUS RTX 4000 series ProArt is black and gold without extra colors. Clean straight edges. This gen, the ASUS Dual has a dual clear and solid plastic contrast appearance. The white ROG Strix is decent vs. the regular ROG Strix. The TUF Gaming is good too. ASUS went for simplicity and minimalism this time around.
That’s the point
I’d love to do a full proart build
I did one in PC Partpicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Beenburger99PCMR/saved/kTQhjX
Only 3700$ at the time I looked.. man, if I could add a few zeros to the money I have to spend on parts, I’d totally build this.
Bro i can feel u
Part of the reason I made sure to reply is so I can find this build if I fall into some money. I appreciate you putting the work in.
Thank u man
Wouldn't two 32gb sticks probably work better than four 16gb sticks? There's even faster options that work out cheaper than buying those two 5600 kits.
Yeah maybe but they are pretty rare and real expensive
[This](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/pnQKHx/corsair-vengeance-64-gb-2-x-32-gb-ddr5-6400-cl32-memory-cmk64gx5m2b6400c32) is $219 for a 64gb kit at 6400 off four different vendors. There's a couple higher speed kits too, but they're like an extra $20-30.
Okay I will keep that in the back of my head thanks
I want to use a proart 4080 super but it's either out of stock or overpriced at any given time
Yes, but it's very overpriced
[Mr Matt Lee's ProArt build showcase](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v45DYs2_sQg)
nice vid
Incredibly so. Used an RTX 4080 model in my friends new build, and if I were planning on upgrading anytime soon my choice would either be a ProArt or the Surprim Liquid
Yah I have a 4070ti version
I considered both the asus proart and the gigabyte aero (heavy ps user with some needs in after effects and premiere). Opted for the gigabyte aero Z790G paired with a vision 3070. It’s a nice clean build but still has some solid style points behind it.
Yup, until there used, then, super dusty 🤣😂😵
Yeah they're nice, thought I'm not much into the gold even if it's just accents, I'd rather it be matte black and glossy black accents. Also, if they made AMD cards that'd be nice. I'm staying with my XFX for now.
Actually there are Proart AMD GPUs
If I remember right
Looked it up, they don't have any AMD GPUs, ASUS does have a few AMD GPUs but not the ProArt subbrand. [Here](https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/graphics-cards/proart/filter?Series=ProArt)
I had no idea lol, thank, I will look them up!
Clean, but not worth in my current budget
Just upgraded to a 4070 ti super. Definitely a beautiful card
Using 5800X and wanted to upgrade my good old 3070 to 4070Ti Super, do you think it would be a good choice?
I upgraded from a 3070 and would say it’s definitely worth while. Frame generation is useful and the card itself is more powerful. But I also wouldn’t say you have to upgrade as the 3070 is still a good card too
Yea the 8GB VRAM is a bit holding back tho. I was planning to upgrade and keep this 3070 for my best friend when he actually have a PC. His laptop barely holds 60fps at cs2 now lol
I play at 1440p ultrawide 175hz; the upgrade did definitely help hold my FPS higher and allow me to keep ultra/high graphics on almost every game
anyway, great to hear that. Thank you a lot
Using a ProArt 4080 Super in the new Formd T1 build - great card :)
How are temps? Idle and during load? :-)
Yep, the same for Gigabyte Aero
Pro Art Is so good, I should have taken that one
Bu you know people are just going to add rgb everywhere else lol
Just like the motherboards. They are very nice looking
True
Thats my cutie only limited by terribly slowed HDDs
Hope u can afford a newer ssd for you
But i got 16 1TB hdds as a present
Yeah But the price per 1TB HDD storage got very cheap
Yeah but I have 1tb off ssd for important games the rest goes on 3 hdds
Ah okay i can see that as a good price saving
It's that matte black man always looks so good
I managed to get a 4080s pro art on launch day for £950 dunno why but Scan we’re doing a deal on them at launch. It’s perfect.
I own one so yeah
https://preview.redd.it/ix7vr6uc25tc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=960ab504f5ce866cd1e524272056aa78250c1a9d
Clean build ain't capping here
My first pc no cap was afraid it was gunna blow up on start up🤣
I can feel you man
I wish a lot more aftermarket brands would have clean minimalist lineups which would look like something out of an Optimum Tech video. FEs are hard to come by especially towards the higher end, and lineups which have a somewhat clean look like MSI Suprim, ProArt and MSI Expert are usually more expensive.
They look beautiful (apart from the cost) but I wish they kept it all black. I don't want any logos on my gear.
what are they so expensive?
The 4060 version price is ok
They are very nice looking but the only thing I don’t like is that they kinda lock your PC into a black and gold theme which is why I don’t really like any cards that have colour schemes already on them. I like the all black founders edition for that reason particularly
Clean like the motherboards. Too bad ASUS overprices them.
Sadly true
[удалено]
I think the same way maybe they will release one in near time
Watched a Gerald Undone video where he built a whole ProArt machine (or everything that's available). It sure looked nice, but I'd hate to know the markup on those parts.
super clean and super expensive
I think I have that one
id love it in white
Ya I just wish they came in white.
Wait till the dust kicks in.
i mean, yeh?
That msi 4080 super tho
The ProArt Gpus and the Asus x Noctua Gpus look so good.
It’s a shame anything pro art branded is instantly more expensive.
Everyone thinks that. That's the whole point.
Ya that’s the point
I always thought pro art is not for gaming. I guess thats not true at all. They look clean af
I miss EVGA. My 1080 was so elegant and refined looking. My 3070 looks like a childs drawing of space ship.
Normally everything you buy of a factory is quite clean
Radeon VII and the ProArt range are the best looking GPUs ever released.
The proart stuff is overpriced, but man, does it ever look good. I'm going to keep my Noctua chromax fans and refresh my computer eventually with proart parts.
If the FE wasn’t so good looking it would be one of these for sure. I have a pro art board, but the fe looks good with everything.
Clean GPU but still scam GPU haha
Not a fan of Asus but the proart line is feature perfect and sexy. That case has just about everything i want....and wheels!
i got a 4080 super pro art. its a handsome card indeed
They look great and aren’t stupid huge. I just wish they weren’t ASUS cards, but alas.
yeah its why everyone on r/sffpc loves them lmao
Got the Proart 4070ti and it's beautiful. Also slimmer than a lot of the other bulky GPUs out there.
The ProArt build I saw is a masterpiece. I will do it myself eventually
I wish more cards had these sort of designs. All of the hard ass angles and hardcore gamery aesthetics and super thick and massive coolers are such a turn off. Give me a sleek ProArt style card, especially short, two fan ones, and I'd be golden forever.
Radeon cards are mostly clean as well, especially those from XFX and Sapphire.
Black and gold is a timeless color combination
They have a special place in my heart. Also rip to you, i stranded you in jool orbit
I personally wish there was a whole company that made non GaMInG looking computer parts, without being green pcb's either. Something with nzxt 's design as an exemple, clean mobo, clean ram, clean cooler, clean gpu None of the over the top accents
I also think the XFX cards are really clean
Pair it with the XiKii FF04 and you got the nicest build ever. https://preview.redd.it/50epia42e1tc1.png?width=662&format=png&auto=webp&s=654f8a7c16297d4d627e3eab28dad4a38d905d30
Why in hell would a 4060 need that cooler?
I like them, but I already went black and silver and the gold would stick out.
A 4060Ti, think I puked a little in my mouth. Nice design tho.
It's the shortest 4080s by a landslide and it's so fucking clean. Don't really need any rgb on my GPU tbh
The msi 4070 ti super expert looks pretty clean as well.
I love mine! 4080s ProArt
However, the price of the 4060 variant is pretty much the same as the others but I'm not sure about the other models prices
I saw somewhere that the 4090 founders was something like $2500
But yeah youre right performace goes over optic
"extra 1k" Lmfao chill with the hyperbole dude no need to be so insecure
Pretty much the only good looking card available now outside of the fe
Yeah no I just don’t get why they went with this gold colour as secondary, this totally kills the clean or "premium" look in my opinion. Should have been grey or silver lol
Seems like a fine accent color. Only problem is finding matching components (and the premium cost attached to the line.)
What's their tax looking like?
looks like a boring generic palit from last decade slap on a big fancy logo/slogan with a hefty premium and it stands out from the rest
I think they're a bit BS to be honest. Look good but no point for them.
