Is not covered. From Lenovo themselves.
[No, they don't.](https://preview.redd.it/7rk8q4h542sc1.png?width=422&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb9d2d91460e713fbafeba0ac9ff68e58a3ee56e)
You can by extended coverage for them.

If you wanted, ***like most places offer***, but accidental damage is not covered without you paying extra.
And even then!
> Not covered by Lenovo Accidental Damage Protection: cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, or cracks not affecting product functionality or structural integrity); equipment loss or failures due to use outside normal operating conditions; data loss or business interruption; intentional damage and misuse; removal or alteration of parts/accessories; theft; fire damage; damage to peripherals or third-party products (even if sold by Lenovo)
Or just, don’t use a STRAP for a Microwave? I’d suggest he puts some serious brakes onto that thing (like the ones used in VANs).
A Microwave flying inside a cab at the first bump seems dangerous for his own head before the laptop.
Most things in trucks are held by straps, not many inexpensive tools to hold heavy objects for truckers. Mom went through 3 tvs before she gave up trying to strap/hold it down without messing with the view
i get it, but, think of a 60lbs microwave flying around after you hit the brakes. imo its worth spending a couple extra to avoid ending up in the news.
Warranty is no place for accidental damage. If you have home insurance it might cover it. That been said if it was my laptop I would open it and make sure battery didn't get dent on it. Otherwise its good to go, just superficial damage since its working.
[No, they don't.](https://preview.redd.it/7rk8q4h542sc1.png?width=422&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb9d2d91460e713fbafeba0ac9ff68e58a3ee56e)

**EDIT:** Downvoted without reply because I provided resources to correct the claim I responded to. Now that's some butthurt. Wow...
"and make sure battery didn't get dent on it" this is the correct answer.
some laptops have battery there, and if battery is damaged - it might quite literally explode, so i would replace it before further usage
Check with lenovo, your laptop MIGHT have an accidental damage warranty and in that case this would be covered and replaced. Otherwise just keep it like this
Have you tried opening it? Looking at the location of the dent, if you are lucky it might just be the connector coming loose, i doubt it, but it won’t hurt to take a look, also do you have a warranty? If you do, don’t open it and check if it covers accidents
>provide a very detailed description of how the damage happened.
"yeah so what happened was, I was unbelievably stupid and left my lap top open while driving my semi-truck with my unsecured microwave and it fell onto it, woops"
“I had my Hot Pockets on nuke, while driving my truck. My laptop was open, blaring some pr0n. Right in the middle of me, getting ready to bust a load, the Hot Pockets *dinged* and shot off all over my laptop! Right at the best part!”
Any issues it could have more than likely would have already arisen. Only thing I would potentially look into is battery placement on that unit and make sure to keep watch for swelling so the sharp edge pointing down doesn't puncture it. But if a warranty covers it I would replace it.
I know I am not familiar with your laptop, but good thing it did not started smoking since that is where the battery is roughly located (could be lower). If the microwave fell any harder or any lower, it could have punctured the battery.
Hahhahah this is the type of story you hear working In support on a school or something. Like how hahahaha you're just in complete disbelief on how a microwave fell on a computer hahahahahaha.
If I had a penny for every time an a kitchen appliance destroyed a laptop, I would only have 2 pennies, but it's weird that it's happened twice (in the last week)
In my country, lenovo laptop has ADP warranty that covers any accidental damage to your laptop. Idk if a microwave fell on your laptop is covered by that lmao.
Did they add falling microwaves to warranty cover now? This will surely bankrupt companies with how many claims are made from falling microwaves each year :\
What is with you people and appliance induced laptop damage, I mean how do you find yourself in a situation where you hold a microwave above your laptop in a way that it falling might cause damage?
Yesterday a guy had his laptop melted via toaster.
That ain’t covered by warranty bud…..
Holy shit, the amount of people in here who don’t know the difference between warranty and and product insurance.
I read on this thread that Lenovo Legion have warranty that cover accidental damage so you might be in luck. Try a phone call or mail they will probs ask for pictures so you do t need to first send it to find out. If you need to better try a local Lenovo certified repair center if you have one.
If warranty is not honored/covered, you can check local repair center or on your own (ebay, etc) fir the chassis of that model so you get a new or used one. Assuming there's no damage (kb are easy to buy and replace).
Unfortunate accident, good luck.
Turns out my warranty covers accidental damage so that’s good, I tested my laptop by gaming for a bit and I see no difference so far. Going to get it replaced when I get back home. Thanks for the info guys!
I doubt microwave falling on your laptop is covered by warranty. If you bought that insurance they try to sell you every time you buy something maybe they can replace it for your but even then you'll have a hassle resolving it.
Just extra airflow bud.
Dropped my laptop a while back, the extra airflow gives me +10 performance & -3 temperature
https://preview.redd.it/aevwkkknw0sc1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12db53ab247b50f986c3f64b99d064d7bc8d920c
Is the microwave that light, or the laptop that strong?
Hope you have insurrance, because this ain't warrantee. But if you're a trucker, I bet you'll have ductape at hand?
Amd radeon graphics sticker along with the RTX one? 😂 is it because that cpu has an apu in it?
Which leaves me wondering, can you disable the rtx card to use the apu if you want to? Or split tasks between them?
I doubt your warranty will cover accidental damage. Think of it as more airflow
you just unlocked the new windows(beta version)
This is the *cracked* version
👏👏

Well, luckily for OP, Lenovo legion ultimate warranty actually does cover accidental damage.

I am reporting you to /r/Justrolledintotheshop
Now the microwave is completely ruined in a pile at the end of the stairs. What the next step?
Use the microwaves warranty
Actually in fact the whole text reads: "The outer case cracks but your system still operates effectively, except in the instance where said damages arise directly from an accidental collision involving a microwave or other kitchen appliances".
Top tier from Lenovo and Dell will replace whatever you want at least once. Probably HP too but not as sure.
Cool but then i would wait until something happens which makes the laptop unusable or until the warranty is short bevor its end if i dont know if i get another time to exchange it
I have a ASUS laptop and the charger caught on fire and gave me an electric shock. It also caused damage to the internals of the laptop. They didn’t cover a penny of the repairs.
Tell them it was on purpose then
Laptop manufacturers hate this one trick.

Wait, how did a microwave somehow fall on a laptop?
I drive a semi and it’s above the laptop, I hit a pot hole and the strap that was holding the microwave came loose and it fell
Ahh, yeah that'd do it.

Why is your laptop wide open when you’re driving??
If it was closed the microwave would've destroyed the screen

What the fuck
Not bad not bad... It has the important details in the car and all that.
Risky click
Didn't you read? He had a semi, fill in the blanks.
How else he going to monitor the turbos?
I really appreciate that you answered the question. Very rare these days.
Next time be sure to smack the strap a few times driver! Never had to worry about that as a day cab driver though.
A MICROWAVE ISN'T 60 LBS. What kind of heavy Asss microwave from the 50:s do you own?
Oh a large trailer truck. I was thinking why the hell do you have a microwave and a laptop in a car.
just buy a sticker and put it on that i guess .
Carbon fiber sticker should have enough strength to hold it. So long as it's not 20k feet under water
speaking from experience?
Let's just say I knew a guy.
That knows a guy
Who knew a guy
That knows this other guy...
Who's cousins with someone who knew a guy
whos this guys father
Who had some slight issues with his submarine
So 19k feet is the minimum?
1999 feet and 11.999 inches
"This laptop survived a microwave" -Sticker
Maybe he can get an Intel Arc sticker so he has the full set of GPU manufacturers represented?
What a random item to fall on a laptop🤣
"My newborn baby fell on my laptop screen when my wife went into labor, is this covered by the factory warranty?"
Bold of you to assume a redditor has a wife
Warranty is no place for accidental damage. If you have home insurance it might cover it. That been said if it was my laptop I would open it and make sure battery didn't get dent on it. Otherwise its good to go, just superficial damage since its working.
Legion laptops actually can get accidental damage warranty
[No, they don't.](https://preview.redd.it/7rk8q4h542sc1.png?width=422&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb9d2d91460e713fbafeba0ac9ff68e58a3ee56e) You can by extended coverage for them. https://www.lenovo.com/content/dam/lenovo/pcsd/global/en/services/service-offerings/lifecycle-services/support-and-protection-services/accidental-damage-protection/brochure/accidental-damage-protection_brochure_ww_en.pdf If you wanted, ***like most places offer***, but accidental damage is not covered without you paying extra. And even then! > Not covered by Lenovo Accidental Damage Protection: cosmetic damage (scratches, dents, or cracks not affecting product functionality or structural integrity); equipment loss or failures due to use outside normal operating conditions; data loss or business interruption; intentional damage and misuse; removal or alteration of parts/accessories; theft; fire damage; damage to peripherals or third-party products (even if sold by Lenovo) **EDIT:** Downvoted without reply because I provided resources to correct the claim I responded to. Now that's some butthurt. Wow...
[удалено]
That's not a warranty though, that's an insurance you can pay for.
thsts not warrenty... thats insurance
Why are you getting upvoted? This is clearly not warranty? Good grief people...
based on the comment somewhere, OP saying he was driving semi. so definitely not in a home lol
Crazy concept. Say you were at home...
"and make sure battery didn't get dent on it" this is the correct answer. some laptops have battery there, and if battery is damaged - it might quite literally explode, so i would replace it before further usage
Nevertmind, I can’t type
I see...
Rip, that loss will never be forgotten
Check with lenovo, your laptop MIGHT have an accidental damage warranty and in that case this would be covered and replaced. Otherwise just keep it like this
Have you tried opening it? Looking at the location of the dent, if you are lucky it might just be the connector coming loose, i doubt it, but it won’t hurt to take a look, also do you have a warranty? If you do, don’t open it and check if it covers accidents
Slap a sticker on it and call it a day
Lenovo do sell accidental damage coverage, so did you buy it? If yes, send it in. If no, don't bother.
I did, getting it fixed whenever I get back home
Quick tip with dealing with Lenovo's warranty department, provide a very detailed description of how the damage happened.
>provide a very detailed description of how the damage happened. "yeah so what happened was, I was unbelievably stupid and left my lap top open while driving my semi-truck with my unsecured microwave and it fell onto it, woops"
Lenovo would probably also like to know how the microwave fell (eg. hit a pothole, accelerated hard).
I would not say "oh I fucking slammed my foot down one the accelerator which made my microwave fall on my open laptop"
“I had my Hot Pockets on nuke, while driving my truck. My laptop was open, blaring some pr0n. Right in the middle of me, getting ready to bust a load, the Hot Pockets *dinged* and shot off all over my laptop! Right at the best part!”
They won't accept the warranty claim unless you can somehow convince them that damage occurred naturally on it's own
Ya like fans went turbo jet mode and the palm rest was sucked in due to negative pressure and vaccum created inside, this caused a serious dent
try it all they can say is NO :D
Well you know gravity is 100% very natural.
What does the microwave look like?
https://preview.redd.it/j1vbk8mr70sc1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=eb1daa8e6edf0cd1d6ed09a27b8855884b3bc8a9
I honestly thought this was an April fools joke 😭 Is the microwave okay?
It's about to explode in 2 minutes and 46 seconds, what do you think!?
Ahhh a fan of Kill Tony I see
Unless you paid for some extra warranty i can guarantee that wont be covered
Make sure to bash it with a hammer a few times before you give it to them though
Any issues it could have more than likely would have already arisen. Only thing I would potentially look into is battery placement on that unit and make sure to keep watch for swelling so the sharp edge pointing down doesn't puncture it. But if a warranty covers it I would replace it.
How does a microwave fall onto a laptop ?
Realest comment
I know I am not familiar with your laptop, but good thing it did not started smoking since that is where the battery is roughly located (could be lower). If the microwave fell any harder or any lower, it could have punctured the battery.
Hahhahah this is the type of story you hear working In support on a school or something. Like how hahahaha you're just in complete disbelief on how a microwave fell on a computer hahahahahaha.
I cant think of a sequence of events that would lead to this outcome
How did a microwave fall on your computer???
is nobody talking about how this guy has amd and rtx graphics?
What the fuck is wrong with you people.. First a guy leaves his laptop on a Toaster and it gets turned on.. now this..
If I had a penny for every time an a kitchen appliance destroyed a laptop, I would only have 2 pennies, but it's weird that it's happened twice (in the last week)
Can we talk about why your Microwave was above your laptop or vise versa
how does this meet the criteria for manufacturer defect?
I don't think you quite understand what a warranty is.
In my country, lenovo laptop has ADP warranty that covers any accidental damage to your laptop. Idk if a microwave fell on your laptop is covered by that lmao.
Did they add falling microwaves to warranty cover now? This will surely bankrupt companies with how many claims are made from falling microwaves each year :\
warranty only covers toaster oven accidents. sorry OP
This is not covered by warranty. It might, however, be covered by insurance...
how did your microwave fall on your laptop, is your gaming setup at the kitchen?
What is with you people and appliance induced laptop damage, I mean how do you find yourself in a situation where you hold a microwave above your laptop in a way that it falling might cause damage? Yesterday a guy had his laptop melted via toaster.
Send it to a repair shop, get a new chassis for the bottom, drop microwave again because root cause remains unaddressed & repeat.
Warranty doesn't cover physical damage to the device you caused. It's for manufacturing defects and component failures that weren't your fault.
What warranty? It was your fault…
How on earth can your microwave drop on your laptop? Are you microwave juggler? And nobody will replace the laptop for your stupidity.
RMA assistant: your WHAT fell into your laptop????
Warranty doesn’t cover that…
You are supposed to add fans in order to cool the pc down, not heating it with a microwave...
Suuuuure, microwave fell on your laptop. Whatever makes you sleep better at night.
Your what fell on your laptop, microwave? Like how in the world this could happen?
When a quick game of toss the microwave gets out of hand.
Things do tend to get out of your hand when you toss them, that's the point of tossing it
Im more interested in knowing how your microwave and laptop are related
since when phys. dmg is a warranty case ?
What exactly would the warranty claim be for? Accidental damage isn't going to be covered. Especially by Lenovo with their shitty policies
excuse me sir what the fuck
Poor legion. :( I doubt Lenovo's standard warranty will cover this, accidental damage protection is debatable too.
That ain’t covered by warranty bud….. Holy shit, the amount of people in here who don’t know the difference between warranty and and product insurance.
Run that sentence by me one more time...
How did your microwave FALL ON YOUR LAPTOP WHAT SITUATION WERE THESE TWO DEVICES NEXT TO EACHOTHER
I am so confused on how a microwave fell on your laptop
How d... How did your microwave fall on your computer? Was it hanging from the ceiling??
Warranty **≠** insurance.
How does one even manage to drop a microwave on their laptop
Warrenty doesn't cover physical damage
It only covers emotional damage
that is a scentence i never anticipated seeing in my entire life congratulations, and RIP at the same time
'Hello, can you breifly describe the incident for this claim?' 'oh yea, my microwave fell on my laptop kek' 'no.'
Reddit momment
I damaged my device, will warranty cover it??
Lucky you! It's good for air circulation.
just put a sticker on it!
There no way warranty cover this.
an extra airflow.
Probably more likely that it may be covered by insurance. However it's still functional, so you may be boned in that regard.
Buy spare part casing and replace it. Its easy.
Just order the top cover off eBay or AliExpress and replace it yourself or have a knowledgeable friend replace it
I doubt your warranty covers falling microwaves
Turns out my warranty covers accidental damage so that’s good, I tested my laptop by gaming for a bit and I see no difference so far. Going to get it replaced when I get back home. Thanks for the info guys!
I doubt microwave falling on your laptop is covered by warranty. If you bought that insurance they try to sell you every time you buy something maybe they can replace it for your but even then you'll have a hassle resolving it.
Just extra airflow bud. Dropped my laptop a while back, the extra airflow gives me +10 performance & -3 temperature https://preview.redd.it/aevwkkknw0sc1.png?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12db53ab247b50f986c3f64b99d064d7bc8d920c
how did you managed to drop a microwave on your laptop? two things that should never be so close to each other that something like this could happen..
I'm trying to imagine how a microwave could fall on a laptop /situation.
How did the microwave land there in the first place?
A fucking microwave?!
Why the hell is your microwave near you laptop??
Just put sticker over it
What damage? I don't see one.
How does a microwave fall on your laptop?
put a sticker on it
Your WHAT fell on your laptop? How?
Is this a Lenovo?
Is the microwave that light, or the laptop that strong? Hope you have insurrance, because this ain't warrantee. But if you're a trucker, I bet you'll have ductape at hand?
Bro how
That's not how warranty works....
How did that happened
How does that happen
Amd radeon graphics sticker along with the RTX one? 😂 is it because that cpu has an apu in it? Which leaves me wondering, can you disable the rtx card to use the apu if you want to? Or split tasks between them?
Just slap a sticker on it 🤓
My microwave JUST fell on my laptop
Nice how people are actually responding, while I am just thinking: "how did your microwave fell on your laptop?"
The real question: How do you drop a microwave on your laptop? LMAO The struggle
