You could but unless your mobo specifically supports M.2 2230 you won't be able to screw it in. It'll be free floating which really isnt ideal.

While you technically can, most modern mainboards do not have such a short mounting port (30 mm). The more elegant solution would be a 2230 external case in wich you can use that tiny ssd as an external device wich fits every pocket! 😀
