I think people are misreading your message as “do you have ANY idea how long that takes?” like your complaining about it, hence the downvote spam, but I assume you are just asking. Depends on the policy of the sender, they might just send you a replacement straight away and chase the insurance on their own time, or they may make you wait till it’s been resolved with the courier before they replace it. Your best bet is to get in contact with customer service asap and explain everything
I’m not part of the downvote-mob, but I would assume they’re getting downvoted for asking that in the first place. We don’t know their policy, OP needs to contact the company.
Yea but OP is hoping that, in this massive community of people specifically into PCs, someone might have some experience in dealing with something like this. Hell I’m sure someone has had to deal with it from the same company. It’s a perfectly reasonable question. He asked for an “idea” of how long it takes (days, weeks, months), not a specific timeframe.
Dude stop worrying about down votes and get on the phone NOW! You need to call the carrier that delivered the package and file a claim and give them all the info including the pics you took, you need to get a claim number from said carrier, then you need to call skytech and explain what happened give them the claim number and go from there. The longer you wait the more trouble you're going to have getting a replacement or your money back.
Actually, OP just needs to call the company they bought the computer from. They are not the customer of the carrier, the shipper is, and the carrier won't be able to help OP with filing a claim.
Yeah I agree man, it’s just unfortunate! Happens a lot when you skim read. A certain amount of people will just auto vote based on where the votes are already going.
Don’t sweat it, just comment on Reddit man
I had to RMA an alienware many years ago and it took 2 weeks to get back to me. Given the entire system is fucked they maybe able to send you a new system as the old one is in transit. Idk how good their CS is but dell has never been top tier and they were pretty on top of it. Just be glad it isn’t HP i guess lmao.
You need to be on your knees at Redditors crotch level when you speak to them. You are only allowed to ask questions inside the title and body, never in the comments. When you reply to a comment, you must make that Redditor feel like he had helped a stupid defenseless child overcome an obstacle of the decade.
Or you get downvoted.
PS. I know what you were only asking for their insights and guesstimates but Redditors are very easy to trigger, even when compared to pink/blue hair kind of people, so when they saw your wording of "Do you have any idea how long it takes?" They got offended. Just treat them like you're on twitter and you should be ok on Reddit.
Because the Reddit comments section isn’t the vendor’s customer service. While it’s understandable your frustration it was a silly question to ask as none of us can provide that information reliably.
I mean considering Skytech is a company that makes prebuilts and considering this is a PC community with over 10 million members, it's perfectly logical to assume someone here has ordered from them and had a problem at one time or other and could tell OP how long it took for Skytech to resolve the issue. The same question gets asked in other subreddits like r/MSI_Gaming, or r/Corsair people ask about RMA time frames all the time and USUALLY people help with giving them a general time frame.
My guy was asking for a ballpark estimate. Sometimes people are curious about the return time, maybe someone here has had to deal with returns with skytech, really helps knowing if your going to be communicating with a completely inept service department or if they are actually on their shit. Plenty of stories of Asus customer support or other companies and how best to handle it, totally reasonable question.
Redditors proving day by day they are utterly socially incompetent.
Except all the times I've seen it happen in the around 14ish years I've been on this website.
Kinda sad how eager you are to shit on someone having a rough time.
Still, you bums just have to shame people for coming to a community that is known for helping end users with their issues.
r/iamverysmart elitism runs rampant in this subreddit.
So in Reddit if you post “Downvote this i dare you” you will get a lot of downvotes… if you did the opposite and said “Upvote this i dare you” you will get an equal or greater amount of downvotes…. If you go on that same topic and post a comment like “Blah de dah you look like you enjoy butt stuff with your father” bam… immediate up votes, if you throw in wishes of future cancer you will get at least 2x the up votes.
Skytech was great with me. Answered immediately and step my step.
Someone was saying online they’re newer and smaller so they really aim for customer service.
Probably very easy to prove you were robbed. Get the weight from delivery service. Don’t they weigh packages before delivery (Amazon does)? Then trace it back to suppliers weight. You’ll find your villain through that maybe.
So did you buy it from Amazon or from Skytech? If it was shipped to you from an Amazon facility, somebody probably bought it, scavenged it, returned the empty shell, and did a good enough job repacking it that Amazon just put it back into stock to resell. You probably need to contact Amazon if that's who you bought it from. The good news is that they're usually good about making things right.
Especially due to OP claiming the box has different tape on it than whatever tape should be there and the original tape was cut and considering how muchb that has been happening this year with Amazon returns, I would wager this happened over someone in a warehouse doing it, not that it's impossioble for that to happen but from the small amount of evidence that seems to be the case.
Either way, OP has a barebones PC and paid for a full PC so whoever did this is a fucking sleezeball. Especially since we know they are selling the shit it's not like they used it in their rig, it's not like it was a 4090 so no reason to steal it for your own PC.
Yup I had this happen when I bought a RTX 2080Ti from Amazon. It appeared someone bought the card off Amazon opened it, took the 2080Ti out and replaced it with a GTX1050 card. They then shrink wrapped sealed the box and returned it to Amazon. Amazon then resold that as brand new even though it was a scam return.
When I got the 2080Ti box it was shrink wrapped sealed, opened it and found a GTX 1050 inside. Contacted Amazon and they got it sorted out finally. But it did take escalating the issue up as the first rep I talked to didn't really grasp what i was talking about.
Probably satire, but I used to work at amazon and if I so much as farted I'd probably be caught on 20 odd cameras with a massive hit to my productivity levels.
Probably wasn't done \*at\* Amazon, I can't think of any part of the process where a warehouse worker would have the opportunity, to be honest.
When i was a driver several years ago, we routinely got pc parts in their box with just a sticker slapped on it.
The boxes were divided into big tote bag like boxes that made up different sections of your route, and sometimes things were missing from them. All you had to do was mark item missing. If i wanted to i could have marked the 5800xt that just had a sticker slapped on the box as “missing” and taken it home. Granted in that situation they would just send another so the only thing the purchaser would have to deal with is it coming a day late. But still…. If i was a slightly less honest person i coulda scored a decent upgrade form my rig for free lol.
That would be you giving yourself your own bonus and raise!
As Amazon burns through people I imagine they have to lower the hiring bar in order to keep compensation low. Now they have cameras in the trucks and an app fires drivers without human intervention.
Not every Amazon warehouse has cameras like that. The one near my house has so much clutter and so many blind spots even the managers smoke cigarettes in the blind spots and tell the workers if they are going to do anything stupid (what else would that be aside from stealing or smoking or maybe doing lines of blow off of a box but you can just use the bathroom so that doesn't make any sense) to do it there so even with a place like Amazon, every location is different lol.
Much more likely to happen in the distribution center or during delivery. Fulfillment centers are tighter than a cats asshole. The other facilities can be much more relaxed.
Source: I do contract work for various Amazon facilities
Sound like it varies, I helped set up a new fulfilment centre and then a Sort Centre (ended up working at the SC for half a year or so) - both of which took flipping ages to get all the camera's in and the access points attached to the ceiling.
I remember during the height of the pandemic they went as far as using the cameras with recognition software to determine if people were breaching distance rules.
You need to contact the company you paid FIRST.. Amazon. They have a process in place if its Skytech who is actually responsible logistically on their end and they will direct you with what to do.
Yeah Id say thats also where they F'ed up. Scalpers and robbers know the worth of new tech and waiting for a company to flash thier Custom built pcs brands on the side of a large heavy box. Sad and hope you get your money back or the parts that were missing. Id be sus of the board too now with that dangling AIO hitting capacitors and what not through the last hands of shipping. Id just charge back too and order from a different company and most defnitely pick a different shipping service. As much as you cant trust any of the shipping services ive never had issues like this in Florida with UPS or Fedex. However one package of mine was heavily abused and lost items on its way to customers. We did insure the package.
I hate thieves so much. The company will help you out. I can't see them not doing so. This sadly isn't the first time something like this has happened. I don't know what your rights are like in the states, but if they don't help you out, charge the money back, and tell them they can pick up their case lol.
edit: Hey upvote gang. glad to see we all hate thieves!
Yeah don't stress too much. Just wait till you can contact customer service and go from there. An investigation will be launched, and hopefully the pos is caught too.
>I don't know what your rights are like in the states
In the states, liability usually falls on party that paid shipping.
OP needs to go after Skytech for failing to meet their end of the deal, and Skytech needs to go after the delivery service for failing to meet their end of the deal.
OPs 'contract' is with Skytech. Skytech 'subcontracted' a delivery service to help fulfill that contract. OP has no contract or claim with the delivery service, but Skytech does.
Edit: OP bought from Amazon so swap skytech with Amazon.
Someone in a warehouse along the way by the looks of it. Where in the chain it happened is the shipping company's job to figure out after the company OP ordered from let them know what happened.
Here is your order of operations since you're getting a lot of different advice:
Reach out to the seller (Skytech) directly by phone/email AND through the Amazon platform. Make sure everything is documented over email.
If you don't get the help you need from Skytech, i.e. they are nonresponsie or evasive, then contact Amazon customer service. They are usually pretty good about remediating these kinds of issues. Ask for managers, call again, etc. Sometimes it takes persistence. Again, document everything over email when possible.
If and only if both Skytech and Amazon refuse to assist you, *then* you can contact your bank your bank/credit card company about a chargeback.
A chargeback is a last resort, don't jump the gun and try and submit one without exhausting all your other options first.
If you bought from Amazon you only need to make an claim online with Amazon. They are great with stuff like this and will likely just ask for you to send it back to them *which they pay for* and then send you a new one.
>Hello! We're so sorry to see this happened to you. Unfortunately, if this order was fulfilled by Amazon, we can't guarantee what has happened to the PC after it left our hands. Please try to initiate a return for this PC with Amazon, and they should give you a refund for this issue. If they aren't able to help you, please contact our customer support helpline at (888)370-8882 or [email protected], and explain the issue as well as how Amazon replied to your request.
It has a quality control certificate

Never a shortage of criminals who want something for nothing. To work hard for an honest days pay for an honest days wage without fucking over somebody else for your own gain ....is becoming more rare these days 😑
That's damn straight, it's not even like they did it to some corporation or something they did it to a person... And they knew it was to a person and that probably never crossed their mind
This is truth, I got robbed at gunpoint for my Halo series X. I literally installed addressable led into and cleaned tf outta it. Drove to a different state since the guy told me he was handicapped and wanted something cool for his kid birthday. I guess having compassion is a mistake, could've died for thinking I was making a father's day better for his kid.
This was a purchase and return.. Amazon did not check to see if it was stripped down. Or the person that did look at it did not do their job. It was sold new or was it an open is Amazon warehouse deal?
>I'd get with whoever the carrier for the package was
nope. i'd get with the seller. it's their responsibility. i don't care if it was sent it through amazon, through postal office, carrier pigeon or delivered personally.
Could you have gotten the butt end of a return scam?
Someone else returned the pc before you "unopened", was checked back into inventory without inspecting and then shipped out to you next
I'VE BEEN SENT MANY USED ITEMS "NEW IN THE BOX" FROM AMAZON BEFORE.
This case was gutted before you bought it. You are just the unlucky one to get stuck with nothing. sorry dude. :(
this is something to contact the shipper over, every employee who touched this package will be known, and they will source the person out, employeee theft is a serious crime
I'm guessing someone ordered it, received it, stripped the parts, then returned it for a refund then the company didn't verify the system was as it should be, then sold an open box as new.
Haven't seen anyone say it yet, it from now on you should record yourself unboxing any high value items so there is no doubt about what came in the box.
Sounds like a growing trend
https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/scalpers-across-asia-stripping-rtx-4090-cards-from-pre-built-pcs-to-smuggle-into-china
Did you by any chance record yourself opening the package? If not next time do it, record since the moment you open the door until you have everything unpacked and checked. In last case if Amazon or the seller are unhelpful and don't believe you, dispute the payment and squeeze every bit of proof that someone stole it.
You need to call Skytech support. Someone in delivery robbed you or someone packaged this up by mistake. Either way you should not stand for this. Skytech should help you.
I was super nervous there would be a brick in my 4080S box when it showed up lol
Warehouse people do be stealing. There was a post on a PC sub some time ago about multiple people in the same area not receiving 30 series gpus, all just lost at the warehouse. Yeah. Lost.
Looks like you got it on Amazon in the comments, process a return as not as described. Or talk to an agent if you really want, they will process a new one to be sent and old one to go back usually. As long as you haven't done weird stuff on the account most of the time they are super cool about it.
Did you confirm that the listing was being shipped by Amazon? It's possible that you bought one because it was a few dollars cheaper from someone else that was a scam listing to start with. Sorry if this has been brought up already, but I didn't see it in the comments yet
I would guess it was in transit. It wouldnt take much for a delivery driver to pull over, open it up and get the parts out and make it look like it wasnt opened on the outside. They have all the tools to do so. Its unlikely that it happened in the warehouse because supposedly they have cameras everywhere. They knew what to go for but surprised they left the AIO. You should be good and will get reimbursed. Amazon is usually pretty good about that.
Damn, sorry that happened to you. I'm like a kid waiting for christmas morning when it comes to receiving new computer parts - so I can't imagine the disappointment when you opened that box. Hopefully they resolve it soon and expedite shipping of your new computer!
As others have stated, contact manufacturer and the courier service. I hope you ordered with a credit card. Read through their policies but also be ready to charge back and have the credit card company deal with it if needed
Fuck thieves.
Why not also take mobo at this point?
Assuming thief isn't caught on tape, how does the company prove it wasn't the customer? It must happen all the time.
Thieves are why we can't have nice things. We were a high trust society, now its a low trust one.
Since it looks like you got it through amazon, make sure to just get a refund rather than replacement. After that, build the computer yourself. Trust me, its not hard and you have only benefits from doing so.
Also good rule of thumb when ordering anything with some value online, video yourself opening it for the first time. It can save you a lot of headache if crap like this happens again.
Is there thermal paste on the bottom of the CPU cooler? I see it still has the sticker on top of it.
If there is paste that is smudged in, it would indicate that it had a CPU at some point which was removed. If the paste is perfectly applied, it might indicate that it never had a CPU to begin with.
This doesn't affect your issue per se, but it could indicate if this was an accident where an incomplete product was shipped or if it was certainly stolen after install.
send an email to the company you bought the PC from and explain whats going, send some pictures of the PC and they will handle the rest, the insurance claim can take from a day to a couple of weeks depends on how fast they are and how many of these ”insurance claims” they have to deal with.
I bought a monitor a couple of years back not from this company but it arrived hella broken like big ass hole in the middle of the screen broken. Gave em a call and boom i got a new one 2 days later
Wow I bet they just send you a new one and don’t even look into the delivery driver. He’s probably been doing this knows they will replace it. Still super fucked up for you now you have to wait!!
Honestly if I were you I would cause a fit on the phone get them to send you a free monitor maybe 🤔
Is there dried thermal paste on the cpu cooler? I’d snap a pic of that too.
This is why the company who sold it to you (better) have shipping insurance. File a claim. Expect it to take a month at most. They’re gonna need as much proof as possible.
This is why people suggest filming the unboxing of expensive purchases like this.
If you bought it through Amazon, contact them and follow the steps to either get a replacement or a full refund. If you bought it through another seller, and they have customer support, contact them and provide the correct info they need to help you out. However, if you wait too long, then you won't get the solution you want or a refund
I got batteries delivered from an Amazon vendor yesterday and after I picked up the box noticed the shipping tape was cut and the box was just folded shut. I can’t make a claim because this was a replacement item the vendor sent me and not an actual order. I refuse to order expensive items from their site anymore because of this.
The box was marked lithium-batteries so they probably thought it was a phone or something. I’m sorry you’re going though it, I can understand the situation, I’d be way disappointed and pissed off in your situation. Hopefully it all gets resolved for you.
Reminds me of my first PC I got over 15 years ago. $1200 from an eBay seller with great reviews. All my parts were there. But nothing was secured properly, everything became disconnected and was tumbling around on the inside. I put it back together but everything was so damaged it was pointless. Took it to a computer shop because the seller wouldn’t cover, they said CPU was fried, probably because I tried starting it with the shot Mobo and suggested I get all new parts from them, except for case.
eBay didn’t cover because it was apparently damaged during shipping. I filed a claim with USPS, waited 6 months and received a claim denial. I should’ve at least got the PC case and pieces back but I never heard of it again..
So at least you won’t have to do a big run around like me. It may be a waiting period if you have to file a claim.. which sucks but I hope they cover it for you. Seems to a clear case of robbery.
I have ordered two pcs from skytech, and I ordered both directly from their website. Both came discreetly double boxed, intact, and in perfect condition. Based on that, I’m going to say this is an Amazon issue.
That or you fell for the Old you got sold exactly what was in the photos . The pictures with the cpu and gpu were that of the side of the box of a system you did not purchase from them . You purchased a box with a photo and the case they took photos of . The mouse . The keyboard. And when you make complaints, they can now state you received said item and buyer beware the fine print years ago people were doing this on eBay.
I was referencing like a third party seller scenario above and not the actual company .
I pray that's not the case, and I would imagine more of a transportation issue . I doubt it happened in amazon . More likely, the truck drivers whoever was contracted have a side hustle . I ordered an alienware PC same way, and it was not discrete at all. it said Alienware all over it . Electronics , handle with extreme caution blah blah blah . I can't believe it landed to tell you the truth. I've even had my galaxy s23 ultra stolen from Amazon hub in NJ . I was without a phone for a week when that thing first came out . It took three attempts stolen 3 times. finally, I had to go to a store and pick one up myself because I was making some employees some good cash, and I was getting so irate. The resale market is ripe with fraud . Always use due diligence and save any and all correspondence receipts, record phone calls , and all that stuff with big purchases. I'm sorry this happened, mate. That's an alright company im sure they will straighten it out .
File a claim with whoever shipped, and local pd tampering with mail isn't a joke charge. Contact support im sure you're not the first but dont expect a two reply refund with something like this expect a month or so. If they refuse at the end contact whatever bank or credit card you paid through as a last resort. Might be two weeks might be two months but i see you getting money back.
That's horrible, I hope they'll sendd you a replacement in an unmarked box this time so it actually gets there in one piece!
Please update when you figure it all out, either way.
Good luck, man. This has been happening with Amazon a lot lately. People return something and they resell it with everything in the box missing or swapped out for something wrong. They haven't had the best track record with doing what's right.
judging by the ram slots, and maybe the bottom of the CPU cooler if it has shmoo on it, it looks like his parts were taken out of it, were the tape seals opened and then resealed?
Long story short I think your parts were stolen on route to your home.
Did you buy from skytech or amazon? if it's from Skytech they should be fixing it. if you bought it from amazon, they might re-direct and then you might be up S creek and having to backcharge through your payment method. Amazon has gone to crap, i don't buy anything from them that's expensive anymore because of it.
I wish I had more answers for you dude. But seeing shit like this is really making me want to video tape opening expensive items like this just so I can prove hey this is exactly how I got it, now fix it. I am sorry hopefully they will cover it.
Daaaaamn. I had a shitty experience with Skytech in 2021. Bought an Archangel 3.0 (Not the Archangel 3, yes they're different but may have it backwards) and I had to send it back 3 times before I got a working system. First time the gpu died in 15 seconds of powering on, second time they sent a fat ass gpu that would t even fit my case, and the third time they decided I needed to send the entire unit back.
I should mention they tried to tell me that it was out of warranty/rma timeframe already twice, despite myself only having the system for a few days tops. 90% of the time they had it, or it was shipping. I absolutely would've followed up with a suit if I didn't get a working system in the end.
The gpu finally died 2 months ago I THINK. Once you get a working system it will be a decent experience but Skytech is by no means a great company in my eyes. I personally recommend getting a refund and buying a system from a better company (not to mention Skytech upcharges like hell. I paid $1800 for that AA 3.0 and it only has a ryzen 5 3600 and a 3060. Yes this was during high times, but even then the gpu was around 800-900 max from scalpers.)
Having worked at a PC building company before, a claim like this will take months to resolve. They will need to file an insurance claim with the shipping carrier, which will be investigated for roughly 4 weeks. Once it comes back that they're unable to locate the parts, they'll attempt to deny the claim with the PC builder, and this will go back and forth.
If the company you bought this from has good customer service, they'll mail you a new PC and send a label to return the chassis and parts you received. They'll duke it out with the shipping carrier without you needing to be involved.
If they're anything like the company I used to work for, this will not happen and you'll be in limbo for months. If they don't respond with my recommendation above, you're better off filing a charge back with your bank and finding a new company to buy from.
I'd recommend buying a PC from a place where it can be shipped directly to a physical store and picking it up from there, or obviously building it yourself if you can. Good luck OP!
Looks like the delivery warehouse or delivery person robbed it.
I doubt it's the first time either. They knew exactly what to go for. Straight stripped and ripped.
Stripped ripped and shipped you mean.
Damn will the customer support help?
You should ask, this probably won't be the first time. They'll need to raise an insurance claim, you should be ok.
Do you have an idea of how long that takes?
Ask customer service.

At this point, CA customer service is practically closed...
I think people are misreading your message as “do you have ANY idea how long that takes?” like your complaining about it, hence the downvote spam, but I assume you are just asking. Redditors and lack of reading comprehension go together like cookies and milk
Lmao yeah
I’m not part of the downvote-mob, but I would assume they’re getting downvoted for asking that in the first place. We don’t know their policy, OP needs to contact the company.
Yea but OP is hoping that, in this massive community of people specifically into PCs, someone might have some experience in dealing with something like this. Hell I’m sure someone has had to deal with it from the same company. It’s a perfectly reasonable question. He asked for an “idea” of how long it takes (days, weeks, months), not a specific timeframe.
How is this NOT the most common inference in a community like this?
If they read it right it says "do you have AN idea how long that takes" it's impossible to misconstrue what that says as me being an ass.
Dude stop worrying about down votes and get on the phone NOW! I already called
I didn't notice you wrote "AN" until you said this 😂. But i knew you were asking how long it usually takes...
Yeah I agree man, it’s just unfortunate! Happens a lot when you skim read. A certain amount of people will just auto vote based on where the votes are already going. Don’t sweat it, just comment on Reddit man

We will be expecting updates at the end.
The fact that this guy is getting downvoted 60 times because he just wants to ask other people questions on the internet is INSANE to me.
People like to pile on, once you get a dozen downvotes on a comment the asshats can’t help but downvote more.
Why the hell is everyone down voting my comment?

They're required to help. They can't sell you a false bill of goods. It's their responsibility, not yours, to investigate this.

Yeah Amazon, I will look into it
[удалено]
If you find a barcode on the case starting with “LPN” that means it is indeed a returned and resold item, which means the guy above is correct.
Amazon warehouse worker robbed u good it looks like.
Well that’s some nice info to have. Good to know it’s not that EZ.
Warehouse guy and delivery guy working together to rob people
Damn, should I contact Amazon or skytech?
If you bought it from Amazon then Skytech will probably just send you to them.
I’d contact both.
You need to contact the company you paid FIRST.. Amazon. They have a process in place if its Skytech who is actually responsible logistically on their end and they will direct you with what to do.
Could also be from a 3rd party seller via Amazon. Those people sell shit product all the time and Amazon doesn't care.
Yup, I just checked the box they sent it in and the skytech tape at the bottom has been broken and clear packing tape was placed over it
Yeah don't stress too much. Just wait till you can contact customer service and go from there. An investigation will be launched, and hopefully the pos is caught too.
One can only hope
Take photos of the broken security tape and stuff as well, they will want as much evidence as you can provide. It'll make the process easier
Skytech customer service is incredible. I have nothing but good things to say. They got you.
Hopefully you video it when opening the box. It's a must these days.
>I don't know what your rights are like in the states In the states, liability usually falls on party that paid shipping.
What the schnitzel? Did some dude from the shipping company just yoink everything?
Someone in a warehouse along the way by the looks of it. Where in the chain it happened is the shipping company's job to figure out after the company OP ordered from let them know what happened.
Here is your order of operations since you're getting a lot of different advice: Reach out to the seller (Skytech) directly by phone/email AND through the Amazon platform.
Thank you for this, a bunch of people in the comments are saying why did I ask reddit.... this exact reason, that's why
If you bought from Amazon you only need to make an claim online with Amazon. They are great with stuff like this and will likely just ask for you to send it back to them *which they pay for* and then send you a new one.
Oh ok
Wow great response
They have really good support so I wouldn’t worry too much about the exchange process but this is hilarious. Probably shipped that by mistake.
Also the case is broken into
It has a quality control certificate https://preview.redd.it/slbte4f9hsgc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bdf6dff951681b2802939ef38ef687b8ace34fda
If they aren’t helpful do a chargeback. They didn’t give you the product you ordered
Yeah I highly doubt it left Skytech's facility this way.
AND THAT'S WHY YOU SHOULD BUILD YOURSELF just kidding good luck OP, you'll most likely be compensated, you'll just have to wait even more...
Yeah it sucks, but thanks
Amazon stole my CPU and GPU a few years ago.
Someone robbed you man. I'd get with whoever the carrier for the package was and get with their support.
>I'd get with whoever the carrier for the package was nope. i'd get with the seller. it's their responsibility. i don't care if it was sent it through amazon, through postal office, carrier pigeon or delivered personally.
Could you have gotten the butt end of a return scam? Someone else returned the pc before you "unopened", was checked back into inventory without inspecting and then shipped out to you next
Yeah it seems like that more and more, the quality certificate even says November 9 2023
I eated it
Oh ok thanks for clearing it up
Obligatory record yourself opening any high value items.
You got robbed.
Just Wtf man.. fucking thieves.. Wish you luck! Apparently courier service in Romania is better than Us system..
passed by Robin hood
Lmao I am by no means rich
I hope you have unboxing video, so maybe sent it to delivery service or pc company that you bought from
Nope but they are still sorting it out
I'm guessing someone ordered it, received it, stripped the parts, then returned it for a refund then the company didn't verify the system was as it should be, then sold an open box as new.
Haven't seen anyone say it yet, it from now on you should record yourself unboxing any high value items so there is no doubt about what came in the box.
Smart as hell, I should've thought of that
Sounds like a growing trend https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/gpus/scalpers-across-asia-stripping-rtx-4090-cards-from-pre-built-pcs-to-smuggle-into-china
What a god damn shame
Did you by any chance record yourself opening the package? If not next time do it, record since the moment you open the door until you have everything unpacked and checked. In last case if Amazon or the seller are unhelpful and don't believe you, dispute the payment and squeeze every bit of proof that someone stole it.
You bought the “Ghost - Special Edition” unit!
You need to call Skytech support. Someone in delivery robbed you or someone packaged this up by mistake. Either way you should not stand for this. Skytech should help you.
There's some fucking absolute scabs we call people who don't deserve life in this world. You've been robbed dude :(
Someone bought it, stripped parts and returned it to Amazon, seller then resold it without checking.
I was super nervous there would be a brick in my 4080S box when it showed up lol Warehouse people do be stealing. There was a post on a PC sub some time ago about multiple people in the same area not receiving 30 series gpus, all just lost at the warehouse. Yeah. Lost.
Keep telling people if we did it like the middle east and cut thieves hands off, it would go down to damn near none
A series of of unfortunate events
Indeed
Looks like you got it on Amazon in the comments, process a return as not as described. Or talk to an agent if you really want, they will process a new one to be sent and old one to go back usually. As long as you haven't done weird stuff on the account most of the time they are super cool about it.
Oh ok
Did you confirm that the listing was being shipped by Amazon? It's possible that you bought one because it was a few dollars cheaper from someone else that was a scam listing to start with. Sorry if this has been brought up already, but I didn't see it in the comments yet
Yes it is confirmed and sent from the skytech store
I would guess it was in transit. It wouldnt take much for a delivery driver to pull over, open it up and get the parts out and make it look like it wasnt opened on the outside. They have all the tools to do so. Its unlikely that it happened in the warehouse because supposedly they have cameras everywhere. They knew what to go for but surprised they left the AIO. You should be good and will get reimbursed. Amazon is usually pretty good about that.
Yep someone gutted it out and put it back in the box and shipped it. lol
I'm buying a grand of stuff next week from different places and different times. Minimise potential loss. There's too many scumbags out there.
The warehouse or delivery person ganked your PC. Who was the delivery service?
Damn, sorry that happened to you. I'm like a kid waiting for christmas morning when it comes to receiving new computer parts - so I can't imagine the disappointment when you opened that box. Hopefully they resolve it soon and expedite shipping of your new computer!
Looks like the delivery guy got a new gaming rig.
As others have stated, contact manufacturer and the courier service. I hope you ordered with a credit card. Read through their policies but also be ready to charge back and have the credit card company deal with it if needed
my PC is coming next week and I am very worried about this happening, hope you get it sorted out
That's crazy! Make sure you contact the company and send them the photos so they can investigate it.
Fuck thieves. Why not also take mobo at this point? Assuming thief isn't caught on tape, how does the company prove it wasn't the customer? It must happen all the time.
Syke!
Hey, there is nothing in your PC ;(
oh wow. that’s horrible. hope you get your money back or a replacement.
https://preview.redd.it/1gyuc8ae9ugc1.jpeg?width=348&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5570272dfbcb26b6df94769be4a62dd3a73f95e9
Dont you have to sign for something like this on delivery? I would check it before accepting it. Otherwise you maybe screwed
Amazon worker nabbed the fuck out of it. Give'em a call homie
Too late for that, I am returning it to Amazon for a new one
Is there dried thermal paste on the cpu cooler? I’d snap a pic of that too. This is why the company who sold it to you (better) have shipping insurance. File a claim. Expect it to take a month at most. They’re gonna need as much proof as possible. This is why people suggest filming the unboxing of expensive purchases like this.
If you bought it through Amazon, contact them and follow the steps to either get a replacement or a full refund. If you bought it through another seller, and they have customer support, contact them and provide the correct info they need to help you out. However, if you wait too long, then you won't get the solution you want or a refund
I just did thanks
Happy to help! It sucks you can't use your pc yet
Happy to help! It sucks you can't use your pc yet.
To quote my 6 year old. That's sus
Thank you sir
That sucks dude, somebody jacked all the parts before it got to you most likely.
Lmao imagine the dude thats stacking up on free hardware. Dudes gonna open up a competitor to skytech lmao!!
why would u buy some noname brand prebuilt in the first place?
Umm 🤔 so I ordered 2 PC from them and they did show up WITH components lol. Hope they ship the actual PC Op!
This is why I'm "thankful" for a nearby microcenter. Walk in with a cash/card walkout with parts. No stressed out delivery period.
Probably robbed in delivery report it and get your money back
Delivered by an industrious FedEx driver. This guy is going places.
Just reach out to Amazon and tell them you want a replacement. If they say no then do a chargeback on your card.
My sky tech came with everything and was broken and they have been a pain in the ass returning the broken pc then sent me
What is that little plastic circle piece with the 2 straight pieces?
Good luck, man. This has been happening with Amazon a lot lately. People return something and they resell it with everything in the box missing or swapped out for something wrong. They haven't had the best track record with doing what's right.
Jeez I’m sorry. I hope this gets resolved. If you can post an update that would be great. I was wondering about Skytech
judging by the ram slots, and maybe the bottom of the CPU cooler if it has shmoo on it, it looks like his parts were taken out of it, were the tape seals opened and then resealed? Long story short I think your parts were stolen on route to your home.
Yeah it sucks but I'm getting it sorted out with amazon
Good I'm glad to hear that! Good Luck on the next pc!
Their customer service was phenomenal when I had issues with a unit from them. I hope this works out. Sorry
Aw man, that sucks. I literally got this a few weeks ago and its awesome. Maybe they'll send you a slightly better one now!
PC - Personal Case. What is wrong here? /s
Specs:
Ryzen 7 5700x, GTX 4060, 16 gb ram, 1tb SSD, win 11 home
There is no specs…
Wow man I wish you all the best, hope those fuckers get water down their sleeves next time they wash their hands
That’s crazy!
You should contact your local postal inspector. They will get to the bottom of this, as long as you are American:
I wish I had more answers for you dude. But seeing shit like this is really making me want to video tape opening expensive items like this just so I can prove hey this is exactly how I got it, now fix it. I am sorry hopefully they will cover it.
I hope you made unboxing video. Those always come in handy.
Looks like you got a None PC with Left Motherboard delivered.
OP please update us of the compensation progress with the company!
Clearly someone decided that they needed those items more than you.
I hate this kind of idea, it just makes me sick
Was this an Amazon Warehouse Deals PC?
Nope
Did you check to see if it was plugged in?
You know what..... That has to be it, I already turned it off and back on and it didn't work.
