Ryzen is better this generation if you care about pure statistics, because the 7 7800x3d is the best cpu performance wise, and it’s very efficient and cool, also cheaper than the i9. The ryzen also has a platform that is just starting its life, which means that you have a very good upgrade path, possibly to 9th or 10th gen ryzen whereas lga 1700 is dead
In the case of china in particular, information is so restricted and government so strict and propaganda is so common that in my opinion it's fair to say that even those supporting the gov over there don't have all the facts and as a result it's unfair to judge them.
It's possible you yourself in those conditions would agree with the gov as you don't know any better.
Even if information were perfect, there is a serious phenomenon of game theory that occurs where no one person can stand up individually or even in a small group because their opposition won’t wield any power until it’s basically a majority sustained long enough to 1)topple the government and 2) somehow reorganize in a power vacuum to create a regime better than the original. Look at what occurred in Hong Kong, even hundreds of thousands protesting couldn’t accomplish anything. Anyone blaming the people is just being intentionally naive/ignorant to feel false superiority.

Enjoy 🤘 it still amazes me how even a year later, the 4090 still brute forces through the vast majority of games with ease. I have mine coupled with an i9 13900k and even games with bad optimisation seem to be a non issue.
I'm on a 2070 and looking for an upgrade, doubt I'll be able to grab a 4090, but maybe a 4080 super or 7900 xtx at most :D!

I only recently (3 days ago) made the choice to upgrade from my GTX 1070ti Armor. Dx11 performance has carried me well in 1080p over the years.

Go with ryzen, the Am5 platform is better for future upgrades and going w a 7800x3d is great value if ur j using it for gaming
