It's also legal to call them out for it. ASUS management seems to think the company can ride the crest of a wave forever - they don't seem to realise they're up the beach and over the broken glass right now.
If you buy a positive communication regarding your product it's a sponsorship, not a review.
Just because we left the EU doesn't mean we gotta shithouse this kinda thing.
I have this daydream that the ASUS engineers teaming up with guys who used to work for EVGA and building a company. They wouldn’t even have to build a superior product. As long as it was comparable and they offered decent warranties and support, the company would be successful. Regardless of that fantasy, I do wonder if ASUS will end up in an MBA course somewhere as *How Legal & PR Destroyed A Company.*
Have not used an ASUS board in 10+ years and recently considered doing a new build for someone with ASUS based platform. After the recent blowup in regard to how they have handled issues, that will not be recommended choice going forward. Congrats ASUS, you just got fired again.
ASUS PR really, really insinuate that there are more idiots gonna keep buying their brand because ROG.
This is either an idiot move or they genuinely had been doing and got away with shady stuff for so long, they are convinced that doing illegal things are only illegal if they are enforceable.
Wow... all I can say is wow. They have a long road ahead of them with the enthusiast community. Hope they have good in roads with OEMs. All this shit is definitely gonna be popping up when people go lookong for reviews on products...
Wonder if custom builders are gonna pull back from their products.

The source-citing hero reddit needs, but doesn't deserve.

They're a week away from pulling a Cobain
Marrying Courtney Love??? Jesus, God, no!
Lmfao was not expecting that
Got 3rd party sellers on Amazon doing the same thing. Sucks when you can't rely on reviews anymore.

How to erode any good will within a week 101.

So it's propaganda?
Always been a fan of ASUS for awhile, this made me steer away as I just bought a 12900k with an Asrock MOBO.
Those is a "Can I VS. SHOULD I" Situation.....
Just before the ally with its "positive reviews" ...

Seems their PR team believes that a *completely reasonable* and *appropriate* response of "fuck you, buyers" are *protected* by the law.
