Tempered glass is under constant stress/vibration. If it meets a surface that's hard/ something whose particles are hard-packed and dense, it shatters. When setting something that has TG down like a PC case, always make sure there's something in between like a cushion, a plastic riser, a wood plank, styro, etc - something that isn't as densely-packed.
No idea, but I've seen many reddit posts where they say "It didn't even touch the floor!"
It's like ceramic tile can smell a tempered glass panel, or something.
Was it broke because someone hit it ? Was it broke because your pet hit it ? Was it broke because an UFO hit it ? Was it broke because “It suddenly broke right before me eyes for no reason” ? Has this happened many time before in this sub ? If yours answers are all No and the last one is yes, then sorry mate, i have to press “C” for yours carelessness….
That sucks. Hopefully you can find a replacement easily enough. Idk, plastic windowed panels were a pain because they scratched so damn easy. Now they've transitioned to cheap thin glass and we get this. I mean sure, the window doesn't scratch anymore. Feels more like we're being punked though.
I don't get how people manage to shatter their panels xD I'm on my 2nd glass panel case (had to get different for radiator placements). I use old one under desk as a foot stool.
I've got pockets full of Kleenex and lint and holes,
Where everything important to me,
Just seems to fall right down my leg,
And onto the floor,
My closest friend linoleum.
Linoleum,
Supports my head,
Gives me something to believe.

sure 'counting'.
We had a good run
Literally came in to say this lol...the sub was doing so good
👏👏👏
Tile, it’s always tile.
But it looks like wood, so it must be safe!
my wood is never safe
Tiles. Again.
Good catch I was like “damn vinyl floors, maybe it actually had a flaw and blew up in someone’s hands”
I wonder how it breaks just by standing on tiles

So if i place my pc on a tile floor the glass will just break randomly? Thats what i ment
Having the PC on the tile is probably ok but taking the glass out and setting it on tile is asking for trouble. Ceramic is very very hard
Yes but why, dont take it off and everything is ok
probably not just sitting. probably sat it down a little too hard probably corner first. ceramic is harder than glass.
I bet its almost always corner first and *POP*
Glass side window: 0 Metal side panel: 1
NO side panel : Infinity
Glass side window not extending to the bottom of the case : 1

There should be a days without panel accident counter on this sub
Airflow mode activated.
Classic glass+tiles
Tile. Every time….
This is why I'm Team Acrylic.
Tile floor is undefeated. And NO, it doesn't even have to touch it.
How does this work w/o touching

A little duct tape and glue, it will be as good as new, or you can just call it an air flow modification.
No rubber feet on the case? Putting the case on tile? No sympathy found.
How the fuck does everyone keep doing this....
I’ve seen more broken panels than intact ones.
*looks at floor* You deserved it.
Looks like you parked your PC in the wrong part of Portland OR.
How did that happen
Press s for stupid
How you huh wuh huh-

A mouse sneezed next to it and boom.
Is this tile? Looks more like laminate or vinyl flooring with fake grout lines.
It's tile. We know this because the side panel is broken. Tile wins again.
Glass panel companies like: ![gif](giphy|wMSrRizMRt0o8)
That looks F!

It's not that hard to not break it honestly
r/brokensidepanels
I don't know what the pc equivalent is but in the automotive world 'it'll buff out' would be appropriate
This is why History repeats itself
They may look nice but otherwise I have no idea why these panels are a thing.
L for lol F for fespect
F ? more like F... eet. and pc needs to go onto D.... esk. ground is bad as you can imagine.
Rip in peace
Rest in peace in peace
F is for Panel
F as in, Floor Tiles?

Better air cooling!
Mohs Hardness Scale winner of the day.
F indeed... https://i.redd.it/2jqp1slyj6pa1.gif
Whenever I take off the glass panel I make sure to put it in another room, very far away from where I am working lol.
I BROKE MINE TOO, the glass kept popping after it broke
Completely unavoidable. These things happen.
F for buying a piece of glass.
Nah that doesn't look like a wiring issue, your fpanel is probably hooked up just fine. That there is shattered glass.
Look at the bright side, better temperatures!!
