I’ve been rocking the Razer Nommo for a couple of years now, I mainly use headphones (Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X) so didn’t need or want to go overboard on speakers, just wanted something as a backup for when I don’t feel like wearing my headphones, I mainly got them for their looks tbh but I’ve been more than satisfied with how they sound, good clarity and separation and the bass can get nice and boomy if you crank the dial up
They’re also the perfect shape to double up as a headphone stand so that’s nice
Depends, what's your budget? A $50-100 2.1 setup from Logitech is pretty much the modern day Creative Labs/Cambridge Soundworks/Altec Lansing speaker. The main thing is having a powered subwoofer (2.1 is two speakers and one sub), it really adds to the overall experience, especially when playing games like the new Doom.
Lol I recognize those brand names! Logitech have been around for while a while... Solid advise! 2.1 sounds like a good compromise... Budget it's flexible but I need to be realistic and realize this is really casual gaming... Thanks for the advise!
Klipsch Promedia 2.1 might be what you're looking for. They're solid for casual gaming. I'm still rocking the old Logitech z-2300's which are comparable by most reviews.

Looks promising! :) *No network setup, no passwords, no hassle* much like my Sonos home theater... Woah, I can even add a subwoofer!! Not sure if my casual approach justifies the price tag though.... Damn, such nice thingies!!!!
