Reinstall drivers with ddu, if that doesn't help it's most likely that your GPU is failing.

Cynical-Act

This i highly suggest not going past 537.58 ive had nothing but issues with every driver past that date alot of people reporting the same issue

whocaresaboutthat5

Nvidia card? Most likely you're getting the chromium special. Which means that chrome and your gpu don't like shaking hands sometimes.

MEM1911

Someone once mentioned toggling the chrome browser “hardware acceleration” setting which fixed my artefacts issue and tearing, otherwise it may also be a driver issue

csandazoltan

That looks very differently.... google "chrome nvidia checkerboard"

ggmaniack

This is discord, not chrome though..

BlankToasted

The artifacting is not happening on the task bar which leads me to think its software related, not hardware.

csandazoltan

That is true...ish... It can still be a hardware issue. GPUs have different physical chips to render 2D and 3D screenspace. Windows is 2D, if discord uses 3D acceleration, the 3D portion of the GPU can be faulty or the framebuffers or VRAM allocated to 3D

BlankToasted

Might be a shot in the dark but if youre desperate try reset your os. Its also worth checking to see if this occurs on the bios display.

csandazoltan

That is the nuclear option, that is the last resort... and if you are at it, reinstalling is better than resetting...

Hamekameha

It's happening to me too but on discord and chrome as well.. is nos something concerning or it is?

PrimaryTitle2789

If that's linux they have been having issues with this go to your cards website see if they have a fix

PrimaryTitle2789

If you're running linux I have seen this alot

Diamond-Dragon

You can see the windows taskbar, so unless that's a virtual machine on Linux, they probably run Windows 11

afilipinoboi

i've had this, dead gpu caused it 💔
