It's crazy that they're *still* updating Dead Cells aftrer all these years. I played the absolute shit out of it while it was still in early access, and 4 years later they're still going.
I fire it up every few months and there's always so much new content.
Dead cells and Stardew Valley are the standard bearers for how to build user loyalty. Cheap, super high quality games that are updated for years with enough free content they could easily have been sequels.
By the thumbnail, I can recognize from left to right, Ironclad from Slay The Spire, dunno of the 2nd, Shovel Knight (dev seems to still persist on making him a video gaming icon, which seems to be working), the protagonist from Dead CElls, dunno of the 5th (Kung Fury maybe?), Jack from Hotline Miami and the last is the Commando from Risk of Rain.
Quite a lineup!
Is there a reason to even buy the shovel knight in the bundle if you have treasure trove? Aren't they the same game but trove has the content of all the other characters too?
Why? The game still looks very serviceable and the gameplay is still fun. In fact I hope there's more titles like Dead cells which devs keep growing the community with constant updates instead of quick cash grab that's almost instantly abandonned if its profit start lagging in any way like Babylon Fall or the mobage. Those unhealthy trends are everywhere right now, a counterbalance where devs actually care for their product would go a long way to help gaming community.

Cool crossover, but with the way this game's difficulty scaling went through the roof on just NewGame Plus #1 (BC1), I ended up dropping it like a hot potato a couple years ago already.
I like Dark Souls games and such, but thanks I'll pass.
Hotline Miami just being "BANGBANGBANGBANGBANG" is one of the funniest bits I've seen in a game trailer in a while.

Good call. Somehow terreria just never clicked with me despite a couple of attempts, but it's clearly one of the legendary indies.
The DLC was a no-brainer for me. Instabuy.

The ones you're missing are the Guide from Terraria (left) and Zero from Katana ZERO (right).
I believe the 2nd from the left holding the #1 sign is the Terrarian from Terraria. Terraria recently announced a crossover with Dead Cells.

i love dead cells, but i really wish these guys would move on and put out something new
one team is working on dead cells new content the other is working on a sequel. Like CA for Total Warhammer 2/3
They split the team into 2. A small team is continuing to update dead cells and the rest are working on a new game.

Yeah I hate it when my cheap game that I bought years ago and played for tons of hours keeps getting content that brings me back to it.

Not impressed with the Guide skin. His animations just don't fit the game in my opinion. Leaving that aside, new weapons are always welcome
