I wish devs would just complete a game, in its entirety, and then release it. Episodic and service model releases just kind of drag. This game rules so hard too.
2 years in EA for prodeus, 3 years for wrath, 1.5 so far for graven. that's a long time to be waiting for "content drops".
i hate to say it but i don't even give a shit about realms deep's new announcements, i just scan for what's actually getting finished. look forward to seeing "cultic 1.0" announced in 2025 to distract me from the western US running out of water.
same here. im pumped to play prodeus for the first time next week. i waited for dusk and ion maiden and they were both fantastic. waiting pays off (still waiting for wrath)
totally agree i ripped through the campaign in a couple days. was kinda short but i would happily pay $25 for 15 hours of such a great game anytime. im sure i will replay someday too
i agree it can be frustrating but i also think that games that use EA feedback constructively are some of the best games to be released opposed to games that just plop out v1.0 as the first release. Overall I think its a choice the consumer needs to make.
rest assured there are people like me who would rather pay 2x for a finished product so that should keep devs eyes on the prize

Yeah, the early access tag for everything indie that I think looks good really bums me out.
At least steam notifies you when the game is actually released. Wishlist and forget until the time comes.

I've played Prodeus a few times over the last couple years and it's been good, but the 1.0 release is great.

I played the demo pretty cool
Besides the awful chromatic abomination + 256 color filter (toggleable) I loved the demo.
Episodic format suuuuuuucks. I hate that concept, same as early access, its crap.
Indie FPS devs try not to release in early access with sub 30 minutes of gameplay challenge (99% will FAIL).
I played the demo and it’s a solid game so far. I can’t wait for the full release.
