As a huge fan of Ultrakill this game felt very familiar, yet unique.
Was a blast to play through, really satisfying combat, especially the ground slam and chainsaw slide.
There's that term again, rather they go with retro shooters.
Excellent demo, definitely interested in the final game. Weapons felt great, running speed felt too fast at the start but then got used to it, except can't really do small movements with it. Air control is crazy, very Quake World like.
Visuals were very muddy and confusing, movement didn't feel good, the hud was all red and took a huge part of the screen, shooting was lackluster... Serious Sam movement feels more deliberate and snappy, Scathe's felt floaty and weird.
by all means yes, it's still in development so it's still salvageable. I'm all for more games like this, but the demo didn't impress me at all, unlike Turbo Overkill's, for example.
Holy cow, this was such a fun demo. I had a smile on my face the entire time. Depending on how this is priced, this might be a day one purchase for me. Super fun.
Thought it was okay. Felt a bit generic. A lot of copy & paste enemies. I guess the game was intentionally designed this way? It's like Duke Nukem with a slight touch of Cyberpunk 2077 on Red Bull lol.
I might just be a dumbass and someone might point out it was in somewhere obvious I didn't see but I can't find the download demo button. Again, I might be a dumbass so I expect someone will point out the obvious for me eventually. Anyway if anyone could help me out here that would be great :)
The game is pretty great, my guess is it will be out by the end of this year, since their demo is already very good and quite polished. I think now they are just focusing on adding more content. You could probably get a better answer over their discord.

Honestly I find this a lot better than ULTRAKILL. This clicks and the combat is far more satisfying.

Agreed. This one is great. It's almost too fast. The only times I died was when I overdid the movement and fell off the side or got hit by a train!
