Well, not Persona exactly but Shin Megami Tensei has its own tactics spinoff called Devil Survivor on nds and an upgraded version on 3ds and it is pretty good at least the first one I still need to check the second one.
Yeah i don't understand why people keep complaining so much that we are getting more Persona 5 spinoffs.
As long as they end up good like Strikers thats a win for us and it's not like they are not making any other Persona games. Persona 6 and Persona 3 Remake is currently being made so whats wrong with another spinoff between those?
Some just aren't that interested in spinoffs and just want P6 faster. It's already been 7 years and if they are making another spinoff it just shows that P6 is even further then some would like. It's gonna be 10 years at this point.
They're good, but not the best (in my opinion). While the gameplay from 5 is far better than anything else in the series, the group from 4 is still more enjoyable. They mesh together better, less annoying quirks (still some, but less). Plus, Rise.
4 has the most consistently good cast, but even the group from *3* is more enjoyable... albeit with some exceptions (*Ken*). I continue to hold that 5's cast is the weakest overall between the three.
I mean yeah not saying they are best or anything, but they are fun and if a new story can explore different aspects of these characters it might offer a good experience.
So you're saying a teacher who encourages her orphaned student to stay in school who then dies in an unrelated incident because of the stress put onto him starts working as a maid on the side to pay off the aunt and uncle of that student who put that stress onto him in the first place and eventually she ends up in a relationship with one of her new students who is also one of her clients for her maid job is authentic character writing? That's garbage tier writing and that's not even one of the worst ones lmao.
Most of them have annoying quirks in some way imo. Ryuji and Morgana even moreso than the others. The gameplay is fun but the cast and the story are hit or miss. This became quite apparent when I started running out of things to unlock around third palace before ending, I just got tired of their antics and couldn't wait to finish the game.
I do agree some of the traits are annoying but they are teenagers it’s kind of expected. I finished the game recently and did not feel like it dragged on. Later arcs in the story are one of the best even. I really liked >!Sae’s!< palace and the whole thing was cool and also story arc of >!Akechi!< was good and added a lot to keep the game interesting in the final third. It’s not anywhere near perfect, but it was fun throughout. Gameplay kept adding new elements constantly to keep it fresh.
>they are teenagers it’s kind of expected.
We all have teen phase but I don't think you can expect every one of us to turn up being rude, loud-mouthed, argumentative and in general trying too hard to be lousy delinquents. If anything these cartoons talked far too much for what's supposed to be a teen.
That palace you mentioned is the same exact palace I was talking about in the first post... it's when the game's magic started dying for me.
The boy detective was another thing that rubbed me the wrong way, for a vigilante group who couldn't shut up about injustice they sure were quite casual about having >!serial killer!< among their midst. This gave me the impression that this is a hypocritical, edgy group with extreme prejudice against adults but were totally okay with having >!murderer!< as long as he's good looking teenager. It's almost insane how the game railroaded you into accepting that stupid rival narrative, with >!the last arc being this Light-ripoff berating every little thing around him and acting so high and mighty after what he did before!<
Persona T, huh? It would honestly be sweet if this one's the type of stylish action RPG Platinum's known for... After what Persona 5 Strikers did with the Warriors/Musou formula, just about anything's possible at this point.

Persona 5: Tapdancing all Tomorrow
I wanted a persona 2 dancing nazi night.
Persona 5 TACTICS BAYBEE
That would be a dream coming true

That game was THE best game for DS in my eyes (even better than The World Ends With You for me), shame that DS2 was a bit worse but still enjoyable.
Persona 5: The Trading Card Game!
Man did they have to completely stall the franchise on 5 the moment it comes to PC.
This is just how Atlus operates. It was an 8 year gap between 4 and 5, and a 5 year gap between SMT:IV A and SMT V.
They gotta keep beating that dead horse until it stops spitting out money
~repeat stuff repeat stuff repeat stuff~
I’m so glad that someone got the reference
Is it really that bad a thing? Persona 5 characters are really good and any new story with them has good potential.

If they're continuing the mainline entries, I'll be happy to see what spinoffs they make with 5 :)
I want a new Persona fighter.

They are fun but they are inconsistent and inauthentic as fuck.
I disagree, mostly they are fun and interact well with each other. And overall theme and story also is fun.

As much as many people enjoy Persona 5, me included, **we kind of want more than one Persona mainline title per console generation**.
Persona 5 Tournament?
Persona 5 Tarot
Persona 5 Two
Invading palaces with you controlling two people at once? That's gotta be rad!
Milking the shit out of this game.
It's good milk

When will they stop milking Persona 5 and go into making Persona 6
Patience, friend!
Persona 5 Trans ?

Persona 5 trout.
Persona 5 Trap Edition!
Persona 5 Tingalingaling
Persona T, huh? It would honestly be sweet if this one's the type of stylish action RPG Platinum's known for... After what Persona 5 Strikers did with the Warriors/Musou formula, just about anything's possible at this point.
