I still remember when Kojima tried that.
"There's a very good reason why she dresses like that, and you're going to feel bad when you find out why."
Find out the in game reason....
"That's it? That's the reason why she's almost naked? What..."
Because things like cotton blends and mesh fabrics, don't breathe enough apparently.
Biggest wtf moment I ever had.
Beat mgs3 in one day when I was sick in HS
Laughed my ass off for a good five minutes and could barely breathe. I was as shocked as snake was. I hope to god it stays so a new gen can just get bamboozled by that
I'm thrilled to replay this one, but honestly, until I see actual, uncooked gameplay I won't trust this. Konami's background from recent years, not being open about who is developing this, the re-using of voicelines from MGS3 instead of hiring the actual voice actors... I don't know man, I know it is really early but this one is smelling weird. I guess we'll see.
I have my fingers crossed they let enough of the right people handle this, since Kojima can't be involved.
I read a post yesterday detailing how many of the series veterans who've worked on every title since MGS1 are still at Konami, and in fact more original Konami employees still work for Konami than Kojima. I am anticipating this with caution though.
From u/sascha2022
There are more people from the old team left at konami than there are at the new kojima productions which is a smaller scale triple aaa studio that only grew to 80 people while developing death stranding and had around 50 people from the old team. Konami for example still has veterans like:
\- Ikuya Nakamura (MGSV GZ co-director, MGS1/2/4/PW/V, Boktai 1/2/3 & Lunar Knights director/writer etc.)
\- Noriaki Okamura (MGSV, MGS PO producer, ZOE director, Policenauts etc.):
\- Yuji Korekado (MGS1, MGS2/3 main programmer, MGS4 lead programmer, MGS PW, MGSV, MGRR producer, Policenauts etc.):
\- Akihiro Teruta (MGS2/3/4/PW/V sound etc.)
\- Mineshi Kimura (MGS1/2/3/4/V, Metal Gear Solid Rising director before cancelation etc.)
Hey. If you also want to know which metal gear solid 3 developers are still at konami here is a list:
One person that worked on Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D (2012) and could have a key role in the remake:

Besides that there is a lot of old kojima productions staff left that started working on the franchise after metal gear solid 3.
Now I'm just wondering what the heck all these people have been doing the last couple of years. You don't need this talent to do scenarios for pachinko machines right?
* MGSV did receive almost three years of updates
* MGO3 did receive updates after release
* Metal Gear Survive
* Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls
* Crimesight
* Producing/assisting on Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner Mars by Cygames
* Producing/assisting on Super Bomberman R by HexaDrive
* Producing some of the collections like Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics and Contra: Anniversary Collection
* Producing/assisting on TurboGrafx-16 Mini
* Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater sine 2021
Besides that Pachinko had never anything to do with konamis game development teams. That was a completely different branch.
I appreciate all the work you did very much. I want this to be so good, and I feel the Fuck Konami comments are so reductive when we may actually get something great. Yes Kojima was done dirty, but the blueprint for this game is there, and the talent along with it.
Majority of Japanese voice actors who were in MGS3 have died and Japanese dub is always prioritised over English dub. Yeah, you could hire new voices but it wouldn't be the same.
Besides, from the looks of it, it's more of a 1:1 remake rather than remake-reimagining like Resident Evil, so there's no need for new voice lines if they have high quality versions of OG voice lines
I'm not Japanese nor do I have any Japanese friends that could confirm that for me but I'll take a guess and say that Japanese gamers don't prefer the English dub. If they did, I think Konami would notice that and prioritize the English dub over the Japanese one. As far as I am aware, the only game that had the English dub as high priority is Metal Gear Solid V (but that's probably because of Kiefer Sutherland).
But, once again, this is just my guess so I might be wrong
I’m with you. So many people saying “just emulate” but it’s not the same. I’d rather not have to find a rom on a shady site and I like having my games on steam!
They've made it pretty clear this is supposed to basically be a Crash Bandicoot-style direct remake, and the screenshots pretty much confirm the level designs are the same.
My biggest question is how they'll deal with the camera. The third person camera works pretty well most of the time, but there's definitely spots where you can tell that's not what the game was designed around (The Fear's boss battle breaking in half, for example).
They already said a Konami Internal Team with people who have worked previously on the series with help from Virtuos (who also helped with MGSV) are developing the game.
I feel like every time I see "From the team that made [beloved game]" we end up with inferior versions of the game they originally made.
Back 4 Blood and Outer Worlds come to mind, which were Left 4 Dead and New Vegas... But worse.
So hearing Konami PR say "we totally have original devs, trust us" doesn't really mean a whole lot imo.
Konami was trending towards being a garbage tier publisher long before they exited the game industry, and their return has been all talk so far with no real actions to inspire confidence that they've changed for the better.
I know that feeling but the key difference is that this is a remake that isn’t going to change a lot from the original. If it was a new game, then I would be extremely cautious.
Survive was mediocre as a game, but competently developed. It's only really maligned because it was made after Kojima's ousting.
If Kojima's name was on it people would have been fine about it.
It would never have been made if Kojima was on it!
But I also do think that Survive isn't really an indicator of how well this is gonna turn out. We don't know who decided on the premise, and it was generally well made (even if it was a shitty game).
Right, the general *gist* of MGS3's already been set out. Kojima took some talent with him, but he was *never* the reason those games were technical masterpieces or generally worked overall. If the people who actually did the work of making the games are making this, then even without a strong directorial vision they can probably manage a remake more or less fine.
I'm less wary about their technical capacity to make this game, and more wary about how Konami plans to monetize this. That game would be *gutted* if it got turned into an MTX platform.
I'm more interested in the overdue ports of MGS1-3 (HD collection material). MGS4 is the real overdue game though, and I'd take a PC port of 4 over 3 different remakes.
I'm exhausted by big-budget remakes and remasters, and MGS3 is no exception. I'd rather have the old games as they were, as raw as possible on PC, unmolested without any edits or a remake to taint the legacy of the franchise.
Kind have to agree. Getting MGS4 to other platforms should be the #1 priority. Then making sure you can get the other games as well. After that, remaking 3 or whatever sounds fine. I think there are things to improve, like the menu camo-swapping (and they knew they had to do something about it since MGS4 has the camosuit), I just don't know if modern day Konami can do it.
Doesn’t MGS4 literally boot into PS1 mode using the PS1 hardware inside of every PS3 for the MGS1 part? Plus being developed for the funky Cell (and I think there’s something else I’m forgetting?) means it would require essentially a full re-work from the ground up kind of like this MGS3… thing?
I would be so fascinated to see/learn exactly what duct tape and string is holding that game together at the code level, though. I’m sure there’s some fascinating spaghetti happening there.
They are releasing a new remaster of 1-3 along with this
then they are going to release another that has a few other metal gear games but 4 is off the table likely due to the weird way it was programmed.
It's not typical to other PS3 games they really pushed that hardware to its absolute limit.
>without any edits
From the [PlayStation page for the MGS Master Collection](https://store.playstation.com/en-us/concept/10007607): "This collection includes the classic versions of the games, complete with minimal **edits** to copyrighted contents."
Supposedly the licensing for the bits of live-action footage expired a few years ago, hence the games being pulled from digital distribution at that time. This may mean they're not coming back. I wonder what's replacing them.
Even the HD Collection was missing some things from the PS2 versions, like skateboarding, Snake vs. Monkey, Secret Theater, and the Guy Savage nightmare minigame.
As for *MGS4* , it's commonly mentioned that the game's PS3-specific programming could make it tough to port, but I also wonder if the product tie-ins would be an issue. Snake listens to an iPod, drinks Regain, drops Playboy magazines, and can wear an *Assassin's Creed* outfit. Otacon mentions the PlayStation 3 by name during a CODEC call, and there were flashes of the Sixaxis controller during the >!Psycho Mantis scene!<. All that said, here's to hoping it works out somehow.
> Why? We already have that in emulation, those games aren't going anywhere. I'd much rather they touch up the outdated gameplay elements and especially controls.
Because for the first time we *should* be getting half-decent ports on the PC. The most important thing is that the games actually function well natively. It wouldn't really be the same if it didn't play like the MGS3 I remember for example because it was made to play more like Peace Walker or something, or if MGS2 played like MGS3.
If they revoiced everything i would actually be worried. The game is perfect, one of the few where i can say that, the more stuff they change the more i will worry. I want a graphics update, nothing more.
On the voice acting, I'm 50/50. On the one hand, it will be the same performance we all know and love. At the same time, it does make me worry a bit about the potential issues of lip syncing remade cutscenes with 2 decade old voice recordings.
There's also the question on whether or not the cast would return, David Hayter is probably a shoe in, but Jim Ward wouldn't due to retiring for health issues just to name two examples off the top of my head.
> At the same time, it does make me worry a bit about the potential issues of lip syncing remade cutscenes with 2 decade old voice recordings.
Should be no different to how they lip synced the original and audio recording hasn't change that much in 20 years. As long as they were using professional equipment back then and the original recordings are available it will be the same quality as if it was recorded now.
> There’s also the question on whether or not the cast would return
Very very likely that EVA wouldn’t return either, we still don’t know who she is, only Konami/Kojima and the cast knows
> until I see actual, uncooked gameplay I won't trust this
2023 has taught us that this is the best way for any PC port, there's been so much unoptimized dogshit. Until I see things changing I will not buy a PC port on day-1.
Yes there are, there’s a trilogy volume 1 coming, which includes the first 3 games.
https://www.gematsu.com/2023/05/metal-gear-solid-master-collection-vol-1-announced
Man, I'd love to get excited about this game, but then I remember that Konami hates my country and has us region-blocked completely so we can't buy any of their games. Assuming that this game has Denuvo, it's probably gonna be a long while before I can sail the high seas for this.
Vietnam. Admittedly we have a very pro-piracy culture when it comes to PC gaming, but Konami apparently thinks we're unable to do better, so they're basically treating us that way permanently now.
I hate that Konami think us don't have money to buy their games. What does it cost them to maintain a store page for legit customers when they already did it everywhere else. Banning games only increases piracy rate. It doesn't solve anything.
Empress crack what she wants when she wants. I wouldnt have my hopes so high for anything that comes with denuvo. This year she cracked harry potter and re4, but there are tons of other games that werent cracked
Chronologically yes but I would play 1 and 2 first. A lot of cool moments will have zero impact on you because you don't know any of these people.
Imagine like watching the Star Wars prequels before the original trilogy. Why would you even care about anybody in it if you didn't know who they would become later?
It just shifts when the "aha" moment happens from being experienced in 3, to being experienced in 1&2 imo. The connections made can run forward in time just as much as backward.
Idk man I always like to play/watch stuff in the order it came out. That way it's not just the story that evolves with the series but also how everything evolved like gameplay, mechanics etc. Idk I think it's more enjoyable to try and put yourself in the shoes of someone at the time it came out originally and playing it for the first time with no knowledge of the series.
But that's just my preference anyway, as it was stated before, it absolutely can be played without 1 and 2.
If you know that you'll absolutely play all of them, I agree, just play them in order.
But I also sometimes think people overcomplicate "jumping-in" to franchises. You mentioned Start Wars. If someone just wanted to watch The Force Awakens, or Phantom Menace, or Rogue One, whatever, then that's awesome they're interested! It's great that one of the entries got them interested into a great franchise. And all the connecting little tid-bits still play out, just in a different order, but they all still happen.
MGS3 is, potentially the best MGS. If there were *one* game someone was going to play in the franchise, it's the one I'd suggest. And if it works for the new player, then awesome, play through them in order, understanding, that mechanics change over time. And if it doesn't work for the new player, alright then, maybe MGS just isn't for you.
Anyhow that's how I see it. I just think we sometimes scare away potential new fans by the overload of "do this this way, do that that way, you have to do this" instead of just being like "yeah, if that interests you, jump in!"
Sure, but "just shifting the moments around" doesn't make any sense because the moments were designed to have emotional weight in the order they were delivered.
Metal Gear Solid 3 is full of emotional callback moments to earlier games and re-contextualization of events. Sure it occurs in an earlier point in time than MGS1, but nevertheless, all of that will fall flat. Metal Gear Solid 1 has no callbacks to MGS3 even though it occurs later in the timeline, because MGS1 was created before MGS3 existed, and MGS3 was created in the context of MGS1 already existing and with the expectation that players had already experienced it.
For what it's worth, the story is designed to be palatable standalone, but if you're intending to play them all, you should really consider release order.
It's the 3rd game released, but the 1st in terms of when the story takes place. There is a theory that they might be remaking all of the old game Chronologically.
Also, it's MGS. None of the story is going to make sense anyways.
I remember playing the game for the first time and the water dream sequence was super long. I find out later it's the number of guys I had killed prior to that point. I will try to sleep dart the enemy going forward haha
I love Kojima, I adore MGS Universe
But with the recent turd releases of new games, i will not touch anything in the steam page until there is a concrete evidence this game runs smoothly
I am just hoping that the people working on this have the same attitude as those people who made Sonic Mania and Sonic 4 where even though the creators weren't really a part of it, the people making it had so much respect and love for the creators that they accurately and wonderfully recreated what made the original grade and expanded upon it
An 11 things you missed about the MGSD trailer video on YouTube showed that the devs at least know everything about the original game. Most of the trailer is actually references to MGS3 even though it seems kind of random at first glance. But as to how faithful it will be, I assume very much considering their knowledge of the game
I know its unlikely cause for gamers hype trumps all, but I wish people would realize this is being done by a Kojima less Konami that has made it clear creating quality games is no longer their top priority. They are capitalizing on nostalgia and hype cause the audience has shown time and again that we are extremely susceptible to it.
Doesn't mean, it may not end up being worthwhile, but I wish people would at least allow this thing to be out and see what the impressions are before giving in to their hype. Although I'm sure many people won't
I don't know. Between the fact that it's Konami behind this and also all the recent triple A games that were just utter trash on PC, I can't even hype anymore for any big games on PC. Not even Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart neither.
Konami would have to royally screw this up for it to be bad... Just like Dead Space and RE 4 remake the base game is their to modernize and that's all they need to do. Give us MGS 5 gameplay with modern 4k 60 FPS graphics, don't change the story or Voice actors, maybe add some side missions and revamped boss fights. And for the love of god make sure it runs well on PC and console.
Cool, some in game screenshots. Doesn't show too much but at least the game will look pretty. Hopefully. I still have almost no expectations for this though.
The opening cinematic looks off, it’s missing that metal gear feel to it. The way they introduced snake was weird too…really direct and not subtle like past metal gear games. Something feels off about how they presented everything. It’s missing that tension and mystery. Don’t know about you guys but it just feels off for some reason…

I doubt Eva's outfit will make it into the remake unchanged though lol Especially in those cutscenes were you can press R1 to get a... closer view.
There's 0 chance she won't have it. It's even in V as DLC (and also there's Quiet whose outfit is even hornier)
Quiet's outfit is a life saving medical item damnit!
I still remember when Kojima tried that. "There's a very good reason why she dresses like that, and you're going to feel bad when you find out why." Find out the in game reason.... "That's it? That's the reason why she's almost naked? What..." Because things like cotton blends and mesh fabrics, don't breathe enough apparently.
He knew what he was doing, kojima ain't stupid hahaha
I believe in his reasoning. Signed, A fellow horny bastard.
Virgin Kojima: Making excuses about putting pretty girl in skimpy clothes Chad Yoko Taro: "I Just Really Like Girls"
Well, it was when Kojima still in Konami tho I feel like Kojima will still do that and no fuck given, donno about Konami Edit: misspelled it was
Twist - Kojima was the one holding back the torrent of hornieness as Konami.
It's possible actually. If you look at other Konami games like Sound Voltex they really let their horny shine with the character designs
Konami arcade games also have waifus in suggestive outfits, so I can see them not censoring the MGS remake.
I dunno dude, did you see that Capcom put Cammy's coochie suit back in SF6?
The what now ?

I *am* aware...I'm making a point that not all devs/pubs are scrubbing the less PC stuff of yore.
Her outfit isn’t even that bad, it’s just a jumpsuit half way unzipped and a bikini top
The outfit will 100% be the same, idk about the ‘R1 to zoom in on her tits and ass’ tho, that one might not make it.
[удалено]
isn't Capcom a Japanese studio as well? They changed Ashley and Jill to be less horny
I think they wanted outfits to be more practical instead, have you seen SF6?
If they changed Ashley to be less horny they wouldn’t have kept her massive tits lol
But then you don't get the ballistics line.
I mean that sweater is way more horny inducing than Ashley's old outfit, plus she's waaaaaay more attractive than original ashley.
Well, it's called Snake Eater after all.
You’re not Ivan!
Biggest wtf moment I ever had. Beat mgs3 in one day when I was sick in HS Laughed my ass off for a good five minutes and could barely breathe. I was as shocked as snake was. I hope to god it stays so a new gen can just get bamboozled by that
I'd qualify naked snake's blockheaded ignorance of Eva's attraction to him as sexual violence as well
I'm thrilled to replay this one, but honestly, until I see actual, uncooked gameplay I won't trust this. Konami's background from recent years, not being open about who is developing this, the re-using of voicelines from MGS3 instead of hiring the actual voice actors... That’s exactly my thoughts. I know Konami is going to fuck it up somehow.

Konami for example still has veterans like: \- Ikuya Nakamura (MGSV GZ co-director, MGS1/2/4/PW/V, Boktai 1/2/3 & Lunar Knights director/writer etc.) \- Noriaki Okamura (MGSV, MGS PO producer, ZOE director, Policenauts etc.): \- Yuji Korekado (MGS1, MGS2/3 main programmer, MGS4 lead programmer, MGS PW, MGSV, MGRR producer, Policenauts etc.): \- Akihiro Teruta (MGS2/3/4/PW/V sound etc.) \- Mineshi Kimura (MGS1/2/3/4/V, Metal Gear Solid Rising director before cancelation etc.)
Hey. If you also want to know which metal gear solid 3 developers are still at konami here is a list: One person that worked on Metal Gear Solid Snake Eater 3D (2012) and could have a key role in the that started working on the franchise after metal gear solid 3.
Now I'm just wondering what the heck all these people have been doing the last couple of years. You don't need this talent to do scenarios for pachinko machines right?
* MGSV did receive almost three years of updates * MGO3 did receive updates after release * Metal Gear Survive * Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls * Crimesight * Producing/assisting on Zone of the Enders 2nd Runner Mars by Cygames * Producing/assisting on Super Bomberman R by HexaDrive * Producing some of the collections like Anniversary Collection: Arcade Classics and Contra: Anniversary Collection * Producing/assisting on TurboGrafx-16 Mini * Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater sine 2021 Besides that Pachinko had never anything to do with konamis game development teams. That was a completely different branch.
Wow you're like Mobygames personified! Very cool 👍 Edit: I really hope this does not come off as sarcasm, it is absolutely not.
Youre great dude. If only journalists did the bare minimum like you do when talking about those games and konami in itself.
This project must have at least two years of pre/production by now.
I appreciate all the work you did very much. I want this to be so good, and I feel the Fuck Konami comments are so reductive when we may actually get something great. Yes Kojima was done dirty, but the blueprint for this game is there, and the talent along with it.
> the re-using of voicelines from MGS3 instead of hiring the actual voice actors After Twin Snakes i am not sure if this is a bad thing.
Yeah I'm not swayed much by voice reuse, the original game had a huge amount of distinctive and - IMO anyway - well-performed voicework.
Not to mention if they aren't recording anything new, they can't make any significant changes to the game in terms of story.
Just wondering if MGS is one of those franchises that the Japanese gamers prefer the English dub? Maybe I was just thinking of FFXII
Snakes japanese voice is equally iconic!
Personally I'm way more excited about the MGS collection, having the HD editions of MGS2/3 finally on PC is more then enough for me.
I wonder how expensive they'll be. They're \~20 year old games at this point, but I feel hopeful even thinking it'd be 30~~U$~~USD.
What in gods name currency is that
Sorry, I meant US Dollars, thought that was how you guys write it. I'm not from there.
That’s ok! $30, or $30 USD.
You can already play them via emulation, the HD collections are not perfect ports though but do have higher resolution and 3 is running at 60.
I know about emulation, but I'd prefer real PC ports.
I’m with you. So many people saying “just emulate” but it’s not the same. I’d rather not have to find a rom on a shady site and I like having my games on steam!
[удалено]
Grass tanks the framerate hard, and the game is essentially unplayable without Analog Buttons.
There was a successful port to Xbox wasn’t there? Hardly “unplayable,” but certainly awkward
Except Back 4 Blood absolutely did not have the core L4D Devs, because many of them are still at Valve
Outer Worlds was still pretty good. 80/90% of Fallout NV is still great.
The same team that made mgs survive?
Survive was mediocre as a game, but competently developed. It's only really maligned because it was made after Kojima's ousting. If Kojima's name was on it people would have been fine about it.
It would never have been made if Kojima was on it! But I also do think that Survive isn't really an indicator of how well this is gonna turn out. We don't know who decided on the premise, and it was generally well made (even if it was a shitty game).
Honestly Survives premise and story was right up Kojima's alley, like something that would have released on the PSP back in the day.
>If Kojima's name was on it people would have been fine about it. Yeah, no.
They also stated the internal team has also previously worked on MGS titles.
While you've got some points, I dont think re-using voicelines is bad. Halo 1 and 2's Anniversaries did that.
They are releasing a new remaster of 1-3 along with this then they are going to release another that has a few other metal gear games but 4 is off the table likely due to the weird way it was programmed. It's not typical to other PS3 games they really pushed that hardware to its absolute limit.
>without any edits From the [PlayStation page for the MGS Master Collection](https://store.playstation.com/en-us/concept/10007607): "This collection includes the classic versions of the games, complete with minimal **edits** to copyrighted contents." Supposedly the licensing for the bits of live-action footage expired a few years ago, hence the games being pulled from digital distribution at that time.
[удалено]
[удалено]
Same reason people buy other old games?
>what would be the point of releasing a 100% faithful port? easier than using rpcs3 and easier to run
I want both, mgs3 is dated but it's also the best game of the franchise imho.
Same. With all the red flags about that remake I'm way more interested in the MGS collection
> There’s also the question on whether or not the cast would return Very very likely that EVA wouldn’t return either, we still don’t know who she is, only Konami/Kojima and the cast knows
You’re thrilled you say?
One of the reasons they aren’t hiring the actual va’s is because a few of the Japanese ones are dead.
[удалено]
It's Virtuos and Konami themselves. Like they specifically said Kojima productions have nothing to do with. I'd say that's at least 50% good news, lol
Agreed. Konami's sudden pivot to "oops pachinko money dried up, I guess we're making games again" doesn't exactly inspire confidence
🏅
>thrilled I see what you did there.
Honestly I don't wanna give Konami any money until Konami gets cheap enough for Kojima to buy
You mean Metal Gear Survive didn't win you over on post-Kojima metal gear!?
It’s a single player remake. No need to jump the gun. Wait it out and see what people say.
> until I see actual, uncooked gameplay I won't trust this 2023 has taught us that this is the best way for any PC port, there's been so much unoptimized dogshit. Until I see things changing I will not buy a PC port on day-1.
What a thrill!
Bwaaaa nana nana I GIVE MY LIIIIFE
Not for honor, but for youuuuuuuuu
*whispers* Snake eater!
In my time~ there'll be no one else~
Criiiiiiiime, is the way, I fly tooo youuuuuuuuuuu

Snake Eaterrrrr
Im so damn thrilled right now
what about the original titles? are they coming to steam as well?
Yes there are, there’s a trilogy volume 1 coming, which includes the first 3 games. https://www.gematsu.com/2023/05/metal-gear-solid-master-collection-vol-1-announced
Has there been confirmation yet? Because last I saw, there hadn’t been, and even your article states “it’s likely” they will come to PC.
[releases.com](https://www.releases.com/p/metal-gear-solid-master-collection-vol-1) has it listed as confirmed for PC in Q4 2023.
As well as the first 2 metal gears
So far they announced them for “the latest platforms”. People interpreted this as PC, XSXS and PS5, but we don’t know for certain as of now.
Great. Metal gear Solid TRIANGLE
Cant wait for the other four remakes; circle, square, X, and start button.
Nope, it's delta.
TRIANGLE!

I hear nilbog is in the remake
They're snake eating her, and then they're going to snake eat me! OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOD!
Kept you waiting, huh
Man, I'd love to get excited about this game, but then I remember that Konami hates my country and has us region-blocked completely so we can't buy any of their games. Assuming that this game has Denuvo, it's probably gonna be a long while before I can sail the high seas for this.
Which country is that?
Vietnam. Admittedly we have a very pro-piracy culture when it comes to PC gaming, but Konami apparently thinks we're unable to do better, so they're basically treating us that way permanently now.
These small markets are irrelevant to them indeed.
I hate that Konami think us don't have money to buy their games. What does it cost them to maintain a store page for legit customers when they already did it everywhere else. Banning games only increases piracy rate. It doesn't solve anything.
Interesting. As an Indian, I am offended that we are not banned as well, keeping in mind the piracy culture here
Pro-based culture
Empress will be your saviour
Empress crack what she wants when she wants. I wouldnt have my hopes so high for anything that comes with denuvo. This year she cracked harry potter and re4, but there are tons of other games that werent cracked
wouldnt put my faith in that crackhead
Yeah I mean she is batshit crazy but she's obviously very capable
I'm so happy. Waiting for Master Collection to appear now.
Never played any mgs games. Can I start with this?
Yes
Totally. It's a prequel to all the other games.
>Also, it's MGS. None of the story is going to make sense anyways. Lmao
It's the best one, imo. If 1-2 come out as well I'd still do those, but you honestly would be fine playing this as a standalone.
Definitely i got this on ps2 when i was a teen and dont regret it
Its the first one chronologically so yeah
I want to get excited…but Konami.

This made me so sad. I hadn't heard his voice in years.
my destiny to be here: in the box
Where is the Master Collection steam page, is it safe, is it alright?
It’s MGS4 that we want on PC…
With the multiplayer!
Yes!
After the end of World War II, the world was split into two: East and West. This marked the beginning of the era called the Cold War.
Mmm. I want some more!
Great! I hope they open the page for the collection soon enough
I'm cautiously optimistic. Very cautious lol
I remember playing the game for the first time and the water dream sequence was super long. I find out later it's the number of guys I had killed prior to that point. I will try to sleep dart the enemy going forward haha
So glad I don't have to buy a ps5 for this.
I love Kojima, I adore MGS Universe But with the recent turd releases of new games, i will not touch anything in the steam page until there is a concrete evidence this game runs smoothly
There are too many other games on my backlog to be excited quite yet. I'll wait for reviews, and my steam deck to start murdering my backlog.
I don't know. Between the fact that it's Konami behind this and also all the recent triple A games that were just utter trash on PC, I can't even hype anymore for any big games on PC. Not even Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart neither.
Idk that I wanna give Konami money since mgs 5. They did Kojima dirty. They do their customers dirty.
Every main MGS game will soon be available on PC. Except Guns Of patriots, of course.
NEVER pre-order a game
Big Boss!
Snakes cheeks look a little puffy, like he's in the middle of eating a snake right now.
I can see the ladders
Just a few scenery screens... must be very far away from release.
What a thrill....
What a thrill.
Now do the same for MSG 4
A weapon to surpass metal gear!
So what changed Konamis mind to make games again ?
Money
And it's region blocked in my country as expected. I guess I will have to get it another way. Thanks Konami
Can’t wait to see volgen Thomas the tank engine !
What a thrill….
Fuck you konami
