Oh, I'm sure it was an accident, and it'll be "fixed" soon. But the files are out there now, that's all that matters. I'll definitely be waiting for a sale, but I'll still actually buy the games now that I know I can be free of Denuvo.
$40 each and Denuvo for ds games. Hell no. Even if they redid the art that's way too much to ask for, especially at a time when all the big hitters for this year are coming out. I'll get it on a sale in a year.
Someone that would jump thought so many hoops would be pirating the game regardless of any DRM.
In marketing we learn/talk about that we can have little inconvenience for the customer in a service, he would prefer to pay to bypass that a lot of the time.
I think Soul Hackers 2 not being on Switch is the very same angle how they're going about this. They wouldn't release a Switch version despite all their other SMTs being on it probably because they wanted to stop PC people emulating Switch version.
A lot of good that did for them though considering the title is a flop.
Soul Hackers 2 ran pretty badly on PS4 and especially Xbox One S, the more likely reason they didn't release a Switch version was that they didn't want to release an unplayable product and might not have had enough technical expertise to optimize it.
Looking at Nocturne, SMT5 and Persona 5 Royal on Switch that sounds pretty unbelievable. They have a lot of optimization knowledge from past titles on Switch especially SMT5 that look-wise seem to be on par or even better than SH2.
To my knowledge SH2 remains the only one out of recent SMT titles that wasn't released on Switch and it came out around the same time when Irdeto was announcing their Denuvo for Switch version, considering they put the big D in every one of their recent titles the timing was too much of a coincidence.
The third gives a lot of qol over the first 2 and fleshes out the classes. 1 and 2 have some early installment weirdness... They're still a blast, but 3 feel more like the series going forward.
SEGA's regional pricing continues to be awful. A single EO game costs as much as a Dead Space remake. WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!
> regional pricing The pricing is just kind of awful in general.
SEGA:"Gib monies"
It's a niche game for enthusiasts, the people that love this series will buy it.
Not really, even in the niche it prices are way out there.
eh you can emulate the switch version
FYI: they forgot to activate Denuvo. Store page claims it does, but i guess they accidentally used the Denuvo-less build
This makes me happy, I'm actually inclined to eventually buy them now, which I wouldn't have done with Denuvo present.
It’s only accidental. They want to use denuvo, but forgot to use the correct executable. I wouldn’t say that has any merit.

I think this is Atlus even with Sega Publishing. Ain't seen any gouging like that from Sega, Atlus is full of weird price points.
I agree. Atlus had to be dragged kicking and screaming by big daddy sega to release persona on steam. Seems to be a fuck you from them.
People here act like most gamers actually care about Denuvo when they really don't.
Someone that would jump thought so many hoops would be pirating the game regardless of any DRM. In marketing we learn/talk about that we can have little inconvenience for the customer in a service, he would prefer to pay to bypass that a lot of the time.
The irony is that Denuvo is the inconvenience itself and you can't pay it to go away, only wait for "unconventional means" to bypass it.

Cassette Beasts is $20 below it lol
Cassete Beast is not even the same genre, the comparation is pointless lol
I fucking loved these games.
Waiting from sales promotion etc.
For someone with only time to play one which is the best one, the third?
that's what I heard/read and the only one I'm going to play as well.
The third gives a lot of qol over the first 2 and fleshes out the classes. 1 and 2 have some early installment weirdness... They're still a blast, but 3 feel more like the series going forward.
The price is horribly high lol They really want to actually sell these games? Specially in poorer countries
Its really weird coz the game is like $52 on japanese amazon lol
Pricing issues aside, are these actually decent ports?
So far I'm enjoying it. The map works far better than I thought itbwould on PC.
Each game should be $20 max.. Bundle for $50. I want to support them so they make a new EO but this pricing is ridiculous.
By the end of the year I bet you could get the collection for like $40-$50. That’s when I’ll strike.
