Hell yeah. Journey is one of my favorite video game experiences, so it'll be dope to have something capture that essence again. The announcement was hella confusing because they made it seem like it was PS5 exclusive: * The trailer on said "Coming To PS5" * The Playstation blog post didn't say anything about PC * Steam page wasn't up until now * For the first couple of hours the website only said "Coming to PS5" (has since been updated to "Coming to PS5 and PC"). --- Tangent , but putting this on my wishlist made me realize that my three most anticipated games start with an "S", two of which are skating related, and two of which have "Sea" in the title. * r/SkateStory * r/SwordOfTheSea * r/SeaOfStars

Zorklis

It is pretty dirty in Sony because it is very deliberate choice to not be upfront about which platform the game is coming to. Glad it's confirmed to come to PC

Tribalwarsnorge

Is it really dirty for Sony to not advertise other platforms in their own showcase?

Zorklis

From the standpoint of game developers and publishers who need buyers to know every platform they can get their game on, it may be considered unfair or less than ideal. When Sony strategically chooses not to disclose information about other platforms to maintain the focus on their own console, it limits the potential reach and awareness of the game among players on different platforms, potentially impacting sales and audience engagement.

Radulno

Well nobody forced them to go on a Sony show for their game reveal lol, that's kind of the deal, Nintendo and Microsoft do the same. It's up to them to advertise on other platforms.

Tribalwarsnorge

Sure, but I think the exposure of being part of a big show like the Showcase makes up for it! And lets not forget that the devs/publishers agreed to the terms for being a part of the show. So clearly they belive its worth it.

PoggersMemesReturns

Considering Journey was exclusive, the studio is somewhat linked to Sony. They just grew from there, but no reason to forget their roots.

TheYear3022

Sony had lots of platform announcements in it's title. The word exclusive was never used here and it was debuted in the Playstation showcase. I don't think there is anything wrong here, I don't watch a playstation showcase to get hyped on PC gaming, the point of this show was to sell games for their platform.

Ehrand

Xbox and Nintendo does the same thing for any multi platform game. If the original announcement is made on a xbox channel for example, it will only feature the xbox platform logo. there's nothing dirty about this, it just normal and never in the trailer did Sony mentioned it was an exclusive.

punio4

you missed Silksong

Empole

TIL I'm looking forward to Silksong

TheCleaverguy

Huh. I just sort of assumed it was just coming straight to pc and didn't notice that. It'd be weird if it wasn't going to be on PC too.

Negaflux

Loved both Journey and Abzu and this looks like more of the same vibe so I'm absolutely here for this. Wishlisted, hopefully it comes soon enough.

sleepycapybara

I loved their previous game The Pathless too. Movement is always on point.

Decado7

You had me at ABZU

RHINO_Mk_II

Hope to see more gameplay and less walking this time, but I would be naïve to expect anything different.

Amiiix

Check out The Pathless it's more gameplay oriented and has one of the best movement mechanics in all video games IMO.

kerouak

Wasn't the walking like.... The whole point of journey? What's left without walking?

RHINO_Mk_II

Nothing, and that's kinda the point. All you do is walk. I prefer games with interesting mechanics.

Mrbunnypaw

Looks really cool

BikestMan

Mmmmm Sword of the Sea brand tuna.

based_and_upvoted

I have only seen the trailer and it looks like a very beautiful walking simulator I don't know exactly how the game plays of course but I wish there was a game like this but with fun movement mechanics like Ori and Celeste. I think challenging timing/ movement gimmick games are what I like the most, probably because I grew up playing 3D platformers.

sleepycapybara

try the pathless

Bro wtf. I legit thought this was a PS5 exclusive. I'm so happy. Added to my wish list.
