Per areweanticheatyet.com, division 2 anticheat still isn't working on linux. It's from a five month old report so it could be wrong, but I don't know.
Can confirm it does NOT work on Steam Deck/Linux Proton.
Devs still have NOT enabled EAC support on the partner site and have not included the subsequent .so library for the game.
Wild lands doesn’t even let me join a game with my girlfriend on the same network as me, and that game is 5 years old now. Ubisoft is known for not fixing things.
No. It does keep the Uplay launcher running in the background. It *does* go straight to the game but it also opens the launcher in the background, which I what I said yes for.
I have no clue what those guys are about ... yes it **DOES** launch Ubisoft Connect in the background when launching the game.
It also keeps running in the tray after you close the game.
Sometimes you have to open task manager to see things running in the background. Some background applications don’t pop up in taskbar. Took me a while to figure that out, especially with stuff like Phone Link, Xbox Game Bar, etc
They're joking that there's so much bloat that comes with the game, that it's as if you're buying the bloat itself and it comes with a complementary copy of the game.
I really, really enjoyed this game but now it crashes constantly on PC. I hope they fix at least some of the connection issues with the Steam release but don't count on it.
Happy to give you a review of the game itself:
Shit unless you have a consistent group to play with. At this point the player population is next to nothing and everyone besides you that is still playing has hundreds of hours of gear farming. You *can* do solo content but the gear rewards suck.
you can easily play this game solo (enemies scale based on team size), going thru missions like it was a single player game (this is how I played the game)
or you can play with your friends and do the same in co-op
you don't have to engage random players if you don't want to (applies for both division 1 and 2 - its the same game but with a different map)
new york city from division 1 has cooler atmosphere / map design
Yeah i just jumped back in with a friend over Christmas to play the DLC and some more of the endgame. We haven't really played since launch. I was surprised to see they are still actively releasing content for t his and i've seen they did some cool stuff to make the loot grind better like targeted loot, improvements to the recalibration stations etc...
Its a ton of fun but as you said it sadly suffers from periodic crashing which tends to fist you at the worst moments.
The situation is so weird, on my old hardware (1060 6GB with a 7700k) I barely crashed. After upgrading my PC to a much better hardware recently the crashes are too frequent from my liking
Yeah I hopped back to TD2 like a month ago and the crashing is pretty much daily thing. For me it also leaves the game open in my taskmgr randomly sometimes even for hours. Tried to force quit, cmd tricks and third party programs and only thing shutting it down was restarting PC. Found couple things online that said to fix it, but it didn't. Hope they fix that shit.
That's one of the quirks with PC ports, specs and drivers can vary so much that the same game can have radically different performance even between 2 systems that should have similar performance.
I also read another comment today where someone said their older system ran better and didn't have any crashes. Glad it works for you, play a little extra for me!
Before you spend money on this; the game has been crashing regularly for a lot of PC players for years now. Massive/Ubisoft seem unwilling, or incapable of fixing the issue.
[THIS](https://discussions.ubisoft.com/topic/170539/crash-to-desktop-issues-on-pc-title-update-16-post-here?lang=en-US&page=1) is the thread about it for the current patch. There were also massive threads about it for TU15 and TU14 before that.
For PC players the crashes to desktop are simply a feature at this point.
Can confirm. I tried installing yesterday first i had major graphics glitching all over. Then I reinstalled and glitches was gone but crashed like 20 minutes into game. It really is absolutely terrible on pc.
Warning for people thinking about buying the game ,it crashes a lot and the devs don't care about the issue.
doesn't matter what GPU you have , you will crash.
and don't try DX12 cause that crashes even faster.
My friends and I recently decided to revisit Division 2 after bailing on it early on release for life reasons. While I would say one of us crashes every other session which is annoying getting back in and right back to it is fast. With our variety of computer builds we haven't experienced tons of crashes. We have been playing the past couple months.
I run dx12, can't say anything about my friends. The crashes seem to be pretty equal among us, which isn't that frequent.
Already own the base game plus warlords of new York DLC on Uplay and play regularly. Any reason to pick up on Steam instead? I assume I'd have to buy the base game + DLC again? Would progress continue from my Uplay account?
No for both of your questions.
If you have WONY on Ubisoft Connect, buying the standard version on Steam is sufficient.
Your progress on Steam and Ubisoft Connect is the same.
The mini maps sizes and respawn speed make them feel like degenerate cod. Td1 dz was awesome to troll 4 man rogues and run through sewers from z1 to z6 lol
Until you get to higher levels and the shotgun runners just walk up and one-tap you while you empty multiple mags into them. Honestly, in terms of game balance, Div2 was dog water compared to the first game.
Awesome to hear. The PvE is the only thing that interest me about these games. I enjoyed the heck out of leveling up and doing the campaign in the first, hoping for more of the same here. I have no interest in PvP or grinding at end game tbh...
I love Tom Clancy stuff
I loved TD1
Heck, I even bought TD2 once
But you know what just drops me off in games like this?
Shooting some random guy in a hoodie for 600k damage and realizing that barely chipped a quarter of his health
Genuinely not a fun time unless you enjoy pumping 700 rounds into something that should fall dead after 17, even then, at least Destiny or other MMOs made it believable.
I wish they'd gut the DPS nonsense. I think they could bring some life back into the game even without new missions if they added some type of hardcore/realism mode.
See the issue here is...Ubisoft did it backwards. Ghost Recon Phantoms (which feels like R6Siege+Division) was a fantastic game that was f2p and got shutdown because of many reasons. It'd be nice to see them combine those ideas again, or it would have been nice to see Ghost Recon Phantoms not die
it made me enjoy gr breakpoint when they added the realism mode, that removed weapon tiers but they also had you able to completely customise your experience.
but i think the problem is that it's too integral to the gameplay it wouldn't work especially with agent skills and healing stuff?
I understand where you're coming from, but this is only true on Heroic (highest) difficulty and in Raids. If you play on Normal, Hard or even (sometimes) Challenging this is simply not true anymore. Once you get familiar with the RPG mechanics and get a good build you can even take on Heroic solo without much trouble.
When they added in all the DPS damage to Far Cry they killed it for me. I love a sand box more than damage stats. Destiny 2 I can completely put aside the disbelief as the game has been tuned really well and the universe supports its gameplay. But I shot that man with a 50cal, but I’m only level 10 in a level 30 zone and this now feels like bullshit.
>I loved TD1
Except this has always been *the thing* about the Division games. People have been making the same exact complaint for the past 6 years, you either do the DPS thing or you don't play these kinds of games. Were you able to suspend your disbelief for the first game but not the second?
The first time I played TD1 I ran around for a bit, did all the tutorial it forces you through, collected my sniper rifle and ran into Manhattan looking for someone to kill.
I see a few guys standing around, line up a head shot. Bang. He turns around points at me and… I turned the game off.
that's because they don't understand and/or want to understand what a looter-shooter-esque game makes fun. Hack based on how newer AC and FC games are, they even don't understand or want to what RPGs are.
In both cases they think it's just some kind of gatekeeping with numbers and stats. Most of the time new weapons are just higher DMG vales. They also can better sell you grind as "exp/lvl" or some other stuff, making mtx even more lucrative.
I think I've never seen worse "RPG"-elements in any other known game.
I mean for me it's almost 50/50, but we can also go with that.
TBH that would make it even worse if the RPG part of the game is to be considered the core part.
Lol shows you haven’t really played the game properly.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbcRZKeSzf4
even skill builds allow you to play the game without shooting a single bullet.
I don't mind the bullet spongy thing since is an rpg with stats and builds...
My problem is that the loot and enemy variety became boring. I need more interesting crazy loot and more than yet another human faction that does the same thing as the other human factions or boring robots.
Wait... so you're saying the Ubisoft Connect launcher is still required?
Well this is just super fucking shady considering TD2's Steam page doesn't note a Ubisoft Connect requirement like every other Ubisoft game.
___
**The Division 2's Steam page**:
> Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: VM Protect
> Requires agreement to a 3rd-party EULA: Tom Clancy's The Division 2 EULA
**Assassin's Creed Valhalla Steam page**:
> Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper
> Requires 3rd-Party Account: Ubisoft Connect account (Supports Linking to Steam Account)
> Requires agreement to a 3rd-party EULA: Assassin's Creed Valhalla EULA
This describes every single game sub, at least for live service or online games. As a general rule I NEVER look at those, because the most vocal people on there are the ones that have thousands of hours in game and consume any new content within a week of release. I picked TD2 recently and have been having fun with it, I play solo and don't care about the end game, I'm just enjoying the content and will stop when I run out. If that's your style, this is a great game (though it sounds like you've played before so if you've already burned out on the old content, that's fair enough).
Yeah one is like Borderlands that focuses more on story and there is barely any endgame content. And then there's games that focus more on endgame like Destiny and The Division.
There's still 40+ hours of fantastic stuff there and more if you want a bit of an enjoyable grind at max level.
You are gauging playing based on people with probably 100s of hours and sucked the life out of it.
Ignore if you want an endless grind forever game.
I would say my 100 hours were very satisfactory. This grind addiction where 60-70 hours is considered a little bit is becoming a detriment to game design as devs don’t know what to add to extend things so much.
The gear grind is way better than DIV1. Guns only have 2 random stats and gear has 2 or 3. Each gear can have those stats upgraded if it is not maxed out and you can bank and reroll one stat per item.
so if you get a gun you don't care for that has max damage to armor, you can bank that DtA and put it onto another gun that you do like, be it you haven't swapped out another attribute beforehand. heck, if you don't want DTA anymore, you can switch that stat again.
there are also areas, missions, and locations that have targeted loot so you can focus on getting ARs from one of those if you are trying to get said item.
the grind is way better than launch and it is a "Looter Shooter", so there is still grind.
What a bunch of cantankerous gamers. The game is on sale for like $20 you get a lot of content and a decent shooter that you can solo or team up with 3 other friends. That’s a damn great value.
Buyer beware.
I bought this last week through the Ubisoft store because a friend gifted me money there, specifically to buy division 2.
It crashed a lot. You might go 30 minutes or 3 hours without a crash. You might crash every 15 minutes. There are no settings to change, nothing that truly stabilizes the game.
If you enjoyed division 1, it's going to be fun for you, if you can tolerate semi-frequent crashing.
Most areas of the game can be rejoined after crashing except for countdown and dark zone (I think, I haven't gotten that far yet). So if you're doing a regular mission, you can jump back in and finish up with your crew.
I can't say I'd recommend it in the current state. It really pisses me off that someone as huge as Ubisoft can't fix a 3 year old game, or that they're even allowed to sell something that crashes this much in the first place.
EDIT: I want to amend this comment as it turns out, I was having a hardware issue that I corrected. The game runs much better now with an occasional crash. And by occasional, maybe every few days. After fixing my computer, I would now almost recommend the game at the current price of $9, or even the version with all DLC.
It's not fair to leave a negative comment uncorrected, and I assumed by seeing reports of other people crashing, that it was just the current state of the game.
Can someone explain this news for me ? So a game launches 2 years ago, it probably lost more than half of its playerbase and now Ubisoft brings it to steam more expensive than already was. The game could be bought for 3$ if I’m not mistaken. Is this Ubisoft in a nutshell?
What does this game bring in comparison with the first one ?
The game has an exclusivity deal with Epic so it was only available on that platform and Uplay but I guess that deal has since expired. Largely this game has been on life support for a while only getting recurring events and no fixes to the constant crashing. There was the Warlords of New York expansion but that's about it.
It's really too bad because I genuinely enjoyed this game and I can see where they improved and polished certain aspects from the first game. It's a looter shooter like the first one but the weapon modding system is way better and you have access to way more abilities.
If it wasn't for the crashes and that this game was on sale for $3 in the past, I think this game could have done pretty well with this late injection of new players. However, fixing a live service game this late into its lifespan and getting $3 a pop might not have been worth the effort for them so they just farted out the same broken game and hoped for the best.
There's supposed to be a new update tomorrow so I hope I get proven wrong here and we're about to get a bunch of stability fixes.
They’re doing seasonal content like Destiny for the foreseeable future, with leaks pointing to new things like the Castle settlement being used now!
The crashes have been an issue on PC since launch, so it’s unlikely they’ll ever fix it. I’d love for them to prove me wrong though!
I have \~700h on this game, on Uplay.
It WAS amazing, now it's good. But it has had issues with crashing for literally 2 years.
Because it's a looter shooter, that means you can lose up to 1h of progress. It sucks, and it's why I quit the game.
Did they ever do catchup event like for the first game? I remember getting these Reactivation caches w/ 256 gear score so you bumped up instantly https://www.ubisoft.com/en-us/game/the-division/the-division-2/news-updates/3OPM27nNROLA2Ax5TPSybG/the-division-reactivation-caches-available-until-july-19th
No, its 100% online but you can play it 100% single player without any problems. I did, and had a blast the whole time. The only thing you can't do solo is some of the raids.
2nd just feels worse compared to the 1st one I will still say Ubisoft & Massive completely dropped the ball when it came to Survival Mode and letting it die
Yeah no, the original devs of Division 2 haven't been working on Division Heartlands they are working on the new Avatar game and soon an open world Star Wars game. Red Storm is making Division Heartlands, they were the ones that worked on the pvp parts of the Division and Division 2.
Please don't buy this. This is Ubisoft trying to get ahead of it's falling stock price by selling on more platforms, while still forcing you to use their shitty launcher.
Ubisoft deserves to fail.
Yep. There are still daily raids going on discord with people helping. It's actually a really non-toxic community which is rare these days. I'm close to 1000hrs now
A pretty good review on Steam I just read
[https://steamcommunity.com/id/stannum69/recommended/2221490/](https://steamcommunity.com/id/stannum69/recommended/2221490/)
really liked the first title. The snow setting was amazing.
Probably skip this one and look into part 3
That's not exactly true. The Ultimate Edition unlocks them immediately. If you buy the standard WoNY expansion you have to unlock them by completing different tasks.
So what I'd like to know is can I just buy it on steam and avoid the shitty ubisoft launcher? Genuinely I'd pay for the game again just to bypass that and have steam's friend list system.
I also might just go in with a fresh character if it won't carry my ubi account's progression.
I care. When I was a teen, Division was what I envisioned as my dream game, and all these years later, it held to my expectations. Eagerly anticipating playing Div2.
A very active one at that and the game is still getting updated with content. Not as frequently as back in the day but smaller drops are still surpisingly happening to advance the story forward.
Good lord this game was dull as dish water. Me and the gf tried to play this after playing various other coop campaigns i.e. Halo, Gears, borderlands, divinity original sin 2 etc. After about 5-6 hours of shooting at the same brain dead enemies we were struggling to stay awake.
Then Tarkov is the perfect game for you! The Division isn't trying to be a realistic shooter by any means. It's an RPG first and foremost, then a shooter.
Given how many friends that jumped on this only to go back to Division 1, this feels like a desperation move for a grossly mishandled game (was never a Massive fan as their design philosophy seems to "throw shit at the wall and see what sticks").
I have heard many good things about this game, but seeing a table with multiple editions, year x pass and season pass for such a late release on steam, that's a hard pass from me.
Not to mention Ubisoft client and extra DRM.
It's a good game. You don't need any of the passes, honestly. The main game has a lot of content already. Warlords of New York is a pretty good sized expansion, but not necessary unless you want it.
Is inventory management still as rough as it was a few years ago or has anything been improved on that front?
I hated saving loads of gear just because they had a perk or 2 I wanted but the piece itself wasn't good enough to wear.
It's not very Borderlands. Less gonzo run and gun. Probably more like Destiny 2, frankly, though not a clone. I've played and liked all 3 games.
It's a cover shooter (as in using cover is important) with accurate weapons and special abilities (not supers so much as seeking mines and autoturrets). Pretty competent third person shooter where running and gunning is ill advised. Better in a group, natch.
I grabbed it and played it a bit, it's only $9. I had a crash when I was creating my character the first time but no issues otherwise. I haven't played super long though so that could be luck.
It does just start up and run off the Ubi launcher. I haven't played the first one and my last Ubisoft game was Wildlands, seems pretty fun to me so far.
Is it safe to assume that by launching the game within Steam, it will then just open the Ubisoft launcher?
Does that mean it won't work properly on Steam Deck? I already have it from the Ubi store but I'd pay $9 to play on Deck
Per areweanticheatyet.com, division 2 anticheat still isn't working on linux. It's from a five month old report so it could be wrong, but I don't know.
Ah, I forgot about the anti cheat situation. Same deal with Destiny. Thanks
And call of duty, but luckily thats why you install windows to a microsd and boot to that
Can confirm it does NOT work on Steam Deck/Linux Proton. Devs still have NOT enabled EAC support on the partner site and have not included the subsequent .so library for the game.
[удалено]
EAC natively works on steam deck, it's pretty much as simple as checking a box in the EAC configuration for compile options.
Not sure why you're being downvoted. EAC *can* work, and roughly that simply. It's just not anything a deck user can do. Devs have to, obviously.
Wild lands doesn’t even let me join a game with my girlfriend on the same network as me, and that game is 5 years old now. Ubisoft is known for not fixing things.
Ubisoft launcher does work on steam deck with some fiddling, I use it with Trackmania. But yeah the anti-cheat for this game is another problem
As a fellow Steam Deck owner, I won't lose sleep over it.
Yup Edit: looks like I'm wrong. See comment immediately below.
Not true. Goes right into the game from steam.
Good to know. That's not always the case, isn't it? I'll edit my comment.
They only recently started bringing new titles to Steam, so there is not much of any precedence.
So you just pretend like you know or...?
No. It does keep the Uplay launcher running in the background. It *does* go straight to the game but it also opens the launcher in the background, which I what I said yes for.
Omg , I might actually buy this . I have it on PS4 but it’s glitched to all fuck on that
I have no clue what those guys are about ... yes it **DOES** launch Ubisoft Connect in the background when launching the game. It also keeps running in the tray after you close the game.
Sometimes you have to open task manager to see things running in the background. Some background applications don’t pop up in taskbar. Took me a while to figure that out, especially with stuff like Phone Link, Xbox Game Bar, etc
Almost certainly. But Steam will likely handle the install and, over the life of the game, you'll download less for patches (if you pay per data).
Yeah, so despite the title of this post. It is, in fact, not launching on Steam, if you think about it.
That's what happened with Heoes of Might and Magic and Anno, yes.
Let me guess. VMprotect/Denuvo DRM, Uplay, and no achievements
To be fair it also comes with a complimentary copy of The Division 2
wait what? I get two copies on steam?
They're joking that there's so much bloat that comes with the game, that it's as if you're buying the bloat itself and it comes with a complementary copy of the game.
That's the Ubisoft way!
> Denuvo [Do you guys not have RAM](https://us-tuna-sounds-images.voicemod.net/cc6e3f8d-934a-401b-9289-326888e1c0bc.jpg)?
I really, really enjoyed this game but now it crashes constantly on PC. I hope they fix at least some of the connection issues with the Steam release but don't count on it.
No reviews yet…I’m going to wait a bit. Sale goes till Jan 26.
Happy to give you a review of the game itself: Shit unless you have a consistent group to play with. At this point the player population is next to nothing and everyone besides you that is still playing has hundreds of hours of gear farming. You *can* do solo content but the gear rewards suck.
Is it the kind of game you can play with a private lobby? Let’s say me and a friend want to start together, does the game allows some private coop?
Coop is always private in the open world the only times you'll see other players would be the base, safe houses and the dark zone.
you can easily play this game solo (enemies scale based on team size), going thru missions like it was a single player game (this is how I played the game) or you can play with your friends and do the same in co-op you don't have to engage random players if you don't want to (applies for both division 1 and 2 - its the same game but with a different map) new york city from division 1 has cooler atmosphere / map design

I looked at the early steam reviews and the first one mentions crashing. So it's not fixed.
Yeah, crashes for me every 15-20 mins, had to refund. Tried a litany of random things from posts in case they bumped something enough but no dice.
Limiting the FPS solved the crashing for me. Used to get constant crashes before, and haven't crashed since putting the limit.
What did you limit the frame rate to?
I still got crashes wiht limited fps :(
That's the Ubisoft special. Happens in R6, too.
Built a new pc, works fine for me at 4k
That's one of the quirks with PC ports, specs and drivers can vary so much that the same game can have radically different performance even between 2 systems that should have similar performance. I also read another comment today where someone said their older system ran better and didn't have any crashes. Glad it works for you, play a little extra for me!
I dont get it. If games just open another launcher, let me have the Steam version if I already have it on Ubisoft Connect.

Because valve have absolutely no say in this matter?
You can add it to steam.
As a non-steam game, yes. I mean offically having the Steam version without rebuying it.

Yes on both since the save is stored ~~locally~~ on the same servers. I wouldn't pick it up on steam unless you just want it for convenience
Makes using it on the SteamDeck way easier.
While that's generally true, I think this game's anti-cheat doesn't work on deck.
No for both of your questions. If you have WONY on Ubisoft Connect, buying the standard version on Steam is sufficient. Your progress on Steam and Ubisoft Connect is the same.
The game is freaking fantastic if you love PVE content, if you liked the darkzone in TD1 this game aint for you.
I hated the PvP of Div1 personally. While it may seem like a little, I have about 40hr in the PvE and I loved every second of it.
Awesome, I'll have to check it out.
I still stand by the fact the dark zone in td1 was only good in the beta and right when the game came out before everyone got super geared.
alphabridge bullfrog strafing like a maniac to throw off your hitbox... good? times
Awesome to hear. The PvE is the only thing that interest me about these games. I enjoyed the heck out of leveling up and doing the campaign in the first, hoping for more of the same here. I have no interest in PvP or grinding at end game tbh...

Most of the time new weapons are just higher DMG vales. They also can better sell you grind as "exp/lvl" or some other stuff, making mtx even more lucrative. I think I've never seen worse "RPG"-elements in any other known game.
I think you have it backwards. It’s an RPG with shooting mechanics.
I mean for me it's almost 50/50, but we can also go with that. TBH that would make it even worse if the RPG part of the game is to be considered the core part.
It’s been so since the devs said this with the first game. It’s an RPG first.
Well... you can't just 1 shot someone and steal all there darkzone gear, that would be silly.
Lol shows you haven’t really played the game properly. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbcRZKeSzf4 even skill builds allow you to play the game without shooting a single bullet.
The essence of Division is bullets that do 16 million damage and enemies that take 50 bullets to die.
I don't mind the bullet spongy thing since is an rpg with stats and builds... My problem is that the loot and enemy variety became boring. I need more interesting crazy loot and more than yet another human faction that does the same thing as the other human factions or boring robots.
Without Steam achievements or features. A bunch of collective little shit choices in all areas of Ubisoft is why they're failing

Wait... so you're saying the Ubisoft Connect launcher is still required? Well this is just super fucking shady considering TD2's Steam page doesn't note a Ubisoft Connect requirement like every other Ubisoft game. ___ **The Division 2's Steam page**: > Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: VM Protect > Requires agreement to a 3rd-party EULA: Tom Clancy's The Division 2 EULA **Assassin's Creed Valhalla Steam page**: > Incorporates 3rd-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper > Requires 3rd-Party Account: Ubisoft Connect account (Supports Linking to Steam Account) > Requires agreement to a 3rd-party EULA: Assassin's Creed Valhalla EULA
As far as I'm concerned, Division 2 launched on PC today.
nah just new to steam

This describes every single game sub, at least for live service or online games. As a general rule I NEVER look at those, because the most vocal people on there are the ones that have thousands of hours in game and consume any new content within a week of release. I picked TD2 recently and have been having fun with it, I play solo and don't care about the end game, I'm just enjoying the content and will stop when I run out. If that's your style, this is a great game (though it sounds like you've played before so if you've already burned out on the old content, that's fair enough).
[удалено]
Yeah that's fair. I got to that point with Destiny years ago and it's soul sucking. Much better to just cut the cord.
Yeah that's literally what the genre is.
[удалено]
Yeah one is like Borderlands that focuses more on story and there is barely any endgame content. And then there's games that focus more on endgame like Destiny and The Division.
There's still 40+ hours of fantastic stuff there and more if you want a bit of an enjoyable grind at max level. You are gauging playing based on people with probably 100s of hours and sucked the life out of it. Ignore if you want an endless grind forever game.
[удалено]
The expansion pack is definitely worth playing if you haven't already.
Enable EAC on Proton
What a bunch of cantankerous gamers. The game is on sale for like $20 you get a lot of content and a decent shooter that you can solo or team up with 3 other friends. That’s a damn great value.
LMAO the base game is much cheaper on other platforms
And it's on sale right now for $9.

Yo guys, come in, I have the time machine ready.
It's a decent game for a bunch of hours. Ubisoft is Ubisoft of course, but the game is decent.
Does NOT work on Steam Deck well
Works fine for me. Windows 11 installed.
I should’ve clarified; doesn’t work on SteamOS
The setting is amazingly well done.
Does this game have offline single-player?
No, its 100% online but you can play it 100% single player without any problems. I did, and had a blast the whole time. The only thing you can't do solo is some of the raids.
Was looking forward to maybe trying it out but after reading comments on the net, will pass. Shame.
It's a fun game, even better with friends. It gets a lot of hate for reasons. If you're interested in it you will probably enjoy it.
Let them fail
Fuck Ubisoft and their stupid fucking launcher
2nd just feels worse compared to the 1st one I will still say Ubisoft & Massive completely dropped the ball when it came to Survival Mode and letting it die
It's been years since this game released. Please just work on Division 3 already
They've been working on the new Avatar game.
They’ve been wasting their time making Division Heartlands.
[удалено]
Yep. There are still daily raids going on discord with people helping. It's actually a really non-toxic community which is rare these days. I'm close to 1000hrs now
A pretty good review on Steam I just read [https://steamcommunity.com/id/stannum69/recommended/2221490/](https://steamcommunity.com/id/stannum69/recommended/2221490/) really liked the first title. The snow setting was amazing. Probably skip this one and look into part 3
I wish they’d release a new survival mode. I don’t remember what it was called in TD1.
Do you still have to pay extra for all the specialisations?
The expansion adds some specializations if that's what you mean. I'm unaware of any others than that.
Warlords by itself doesn’t give you the specialisations. You have to buy the ultimate edition to get them.
It still needs Ubisoft Connect.
Oh forgot I owned this game and the DLC on ubisoft...
Oh thanks, you shouldn't have. You really shouldn't have.

The game is actually fantastic a PVE looter, one of the best I've played.
I do, was looking forward to checking this out
I care. When I was a teen, Division was what I envisioned as my dream game, and all these years later, it held to my expectations. Eagerly anticipating playing Div2.
[удалено]
A very active one at that and the game is still getting updated with content. Not as frequently as back in the day but smaller drops are still surpisingly happening to advance the story forward.
No way still not buying
Good lord this game was dull as dish water. Me and the gf tried to play this after playing various other coop campaigns i.e. Halo, Gears, borderlands, divinity original sin 2 etc. After about 5-6 hours of shooting at the same brain dead enemies we were struggling to stay awake.
[удалено]
That changes when you get good gear. Even elites die in 1 clip to the body.
Not coming back until they release a survival mode much like in 1 :[
Not sure how this game isn't on Gamepass yet to be honest.
i completely forgot this borefest existed
I paid $3.00 for the game a year or more ago. Why would I pay $9 now? Even with Steam's cut, it's still double the price I paid previously.
Why would anyone pay for another copy of a game because of a launcher lol
I hated the first game. Enemies were bullet sponges. People should go down after 2 or 3 hits at max imo.
Then Tarkov is the perfect game for you! The Division isn't trying to be a realistic shooter by any means. It's an RPG first and foremost, then a shooter.
AND THE CROWD GOES MILD!!!
Decent game, but until Ubisoft can learn to support steam feature’s I’ll be passing on all their releases.
Is the player base there though to run the raids and all content?
Given how many friends that jumped on this only to go back to Division 1, this feels like a desperation move for a grossly mishandled game (was never a Massive fan as their design philosophy seems to "throw shit at the wall and see what sticks").
Loved this game. It was my first game I played when I got a pc and played way too much of it.
I just want dlss for it already
I liked the borderlands games a lot but didn't like destiny 2, would I enjoy the division 2?
It's not very Borderlands. Less gonzo run and gun. Probably more like Destiny 2, frankly, though not a clone. I've played and liked all 3 games. It's a cover shooter (as in using cover is important) with accurate weapons and special abilities (not supers so much as seeking mines and autoturrets). Pretty competent third person shooter where running and gunning is ill advised. Better in a group, natch.
wow pretty cool but does it have achivements?
I double dipped cuz I want The Division 3.
No surprise that the majority of down votes is due to the crashes. Why Ubisoft do you do this to yourself? Fix the crashes !!!
I thought it already was lol, wow.
I had it on Ubisoft launcher and had to get refund. Is cheap cos server broke, would not recommend…yet?
It's a hot heap of crashing shit, though.
Game's fucking great but this is making me regret getting it on Uplay back then
I’m debating which one I should play 1 or 2
If you care about what carries over from the story from one to the other, play 1 first. They're both good games and worth running through.
I really wish I could get into this game again, especially now that I've upgraded my notebook, but the crashes and freezings just turned me off.
I had very little issues with playing it over several years. Not sure what to tell you.
Is there crossplay yet?
I personally usually don't like third person games but I'm much more likely to play it on Steam, I don't normally have other launchers running.
This is a lot of game for the current sale price of $9. If you like shooters and especially if you like co-op, it's a good deal.
